Venue was nice, courteous staff, the only issue is exiting the parking lot
Awesome place to stay at real clean rooms and awesome staff
Dustin Cousey, Sales Manager, had excellent customer service when working with me on an event I wanted to host in their ballroom space. They offered a great deal on room rental, AV, and room blocking. His responses were very prompt and professional. If you are planning an event, I would highly recommend considering the Marriott West Loop.
Nice place but there are way better places to stay but it ok..for the price there are a lot better places .
Terrific staff. Stayed two weeks and did not have a single negative experience in any interaction (front desk, parking, maids, restaurant, etc etc). Concierge lounge is decent - quality breakfast but the staff that work there (Amber in particular - evenings), for whatever reason, clearly go out of their way to improve your stay.
Nothing but positives. Of course the water smells a bit... but it is Houston, that'll happen
Small rooms old style construction. Welcoming staff
Good location with a few restaurants around. Rooms were clean as expected of a Marriott. The hotel is slightly dated that shows in a few places but overall well maintained. The only complaint I had was there was no microwave in the room. I stayed for 5 nights and it would have helped to have a microwave to occasionally heat up food.
Nice place, brand new. We we're the only ones there.
All of the staff members are amazing my favorite staff members are josh mimi and alice
Rachel upgraded us at no cost and only to accommodate our wishes. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel is nice and close to the galleria. Overall great stay.
The Crystal Palace on the 2nd floor is a nice touch.
The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Only negative was that I was supposed to receive a welcome folder when I arrived from the program I was in town to work with and the front desk had no idea of what was going on. I woke up the next morning and they had slid the package under my door. This was after I was told it was a mistake in the notes and I probably was not supposed to have a package. Other than that they were friendly and helpful.
The stay was great. The rooms and restrooms were clean. The staff was super. I only had one problem with the indoor pool area. The water was great but the pool area was freezing. I called the front desk three times to see if they could adjust the temperature but the temp stayed the same. We ended our pool time due to the cold temperatures in the pool area.
You have to try the Mistini made by Misty! Its AMAZING! It will turn around any day and any mood! Not to mention Misty is such an AMAZING person so full of life and so sweet!
It was great spot to enjoy a night's ready. All the accommodations were to our looking. Just disappointed the was Not w jacuzzi
The lobby and everything downstairs was lovely, but the rooms really need to be updated.
Staff is very attentive. Rooms very clean. Great lounge & amenities.
Payed wi fi, payed parking, small rooms; didn't like it. Was my first time time and probably my last one
Room was beautiful but customer service was not good. I got charged for Free WiFi that I did not use and now they won t give me my deposit. Not koo at all.
Easily accessed to/from the highway. Very modern and spacious rooms. Staff is superbly friendly and provides concierge customer service.
Convenient location. The ceilings were a little low in the bathroom & there was a wet spot on the carpet when we got in the room (seemed like it had been cleaned but they forgot to dry it up). They let us do late checkout last minute, so that was cool.
Nice venue to drink and visit with friends. Also for professional meetings
Had a great stay at this hotel, and would recommend it to all visiting Houston.
This excellent location is very modern and clean with a Crisp Decor (for a better word); however my girl and I have slept in better beds.
It had a wide range of guests staying when we stayed here this last January. Great for couples, biz, and fam stays. Valet parking was ideal for making your evenings flow. Food and amenities were a plus. We'll prob stay here again on our next trip to Houston..
Very nice place though parking really was hidden and away from anything
The coffee in the restaurant is Starbuck's. The lobby is airy. But the parking is pretty expensive.
The floor I was on had dehumidifiers in the hall and smelled musty. My room didn't have a smell, but water kept leaking from somewhere and would fill the bathroom floor. I booked through Priceline, and felt like I was put there due to paying a lower rate. Also, I paid $50+ for parking during my stay, even though the entrance/exit gates were malfunctioning and didn't even require a pass the entire weekend. Had I not added it to my room charges, I wouldn't have had to pay for something everyone else received for free.
A great place to attend or hold a conference. Good food.
Was there for a seminar, nice facilities, parking $7 a day if you park, parking entrance not easy to find. GPS may take you thru the backside, but the Front of the hotel faces 610 south feeder Rd.
Business meeting at 5:00 pm. Waiting in the lobby near the guest computer station. Having a very pleasant wait.
Pros: Staff is welcoming and professional. My room service server Ms. Silvia was awesome! She provided stellar service and always greeted me every morning of my stay with a smile. Houston Marriott please give Silvia a raise and some recognition. Food was tasty, could adjust temperature in room and the shower felt great.
Cons:
No view or adequate sunlight from room. The hotel is nestled near tall buildings and depending on where your room is your window view overlooks the inside of the hotel reception area.
No airport shuttle. The hotel shuttle only travels within a 3 mile radius.
For the price per night, rooms and bathroom could be nicer and more upscale.
Pool was closed. No urgency it seemed to resolve especially since it is listed as an amenity on the website.
Went to our high school reunion at the Marriott and the facility and staff were excellent. I highly recommend it!
Very nice stay. Rooms were nice. Service was great.
Very nice hotel. The staff are very helpful and professional.
Trash set up, don t be fooled by the location. Room was weirdly decorated, view was another building in your face, and it s nowhere near as lavish as they make it out to be on their website.
The bed was more comfortable in this hotel than any I've been to. The people were extra nice. The hotel was very clean. The bad is the cost to park
Our stay was fantastic! Rooms were clean and the lobby area was nice
Very nice hotel, rooms are very nice, service was perfect
heated in side pool . If u want to f^< while havein hundreds of onlookers get room 628 or 728 ...room is small but one wall is a window over looking the highway .
The hall where we attended was beautifully decorated and well-lit
I liked the hotel, excellent location in the Galleria area.
Great location, lounge has food and drinks all day, quiet
I stayed here decades ago and last year, the lobby has been nicely renovated looks modern and functional, the pool has always been the same and the rooms are dated, specifically the furniture. Close to theGalleria and many restaurants and businesses.
Not my first choice to stay when in Houston, but still decent parking, good and efficient service.
Stayed here for one night to celebrate pride weekend. While taking a hot shower the steam made it hard to breathe, so i opened the door. The steam set off the fire alarm and when they came to address the problem we were accused of smoking in the room despite the fact that the maintenance man informed us AND the (i guess manager?) that the steam 100% would have caused it, due to the smoke detector being directly next to the bathroom door. Despite being told this information they still put a 200 dollar fee on my card. When i contacted them about this they still claimed their was "a strong smoke odor" which we have on recording the man saying it could have come from any of the rooms, as the smell was already in the hallway as they were on their way to address our issue. The maintenance man was very polite but the (manager?) was very accusatory and we felt a bit discriminated against as we are a lesbian couple and we still had all of our pride attire.
This weekend was my first time ever staying in Houston and I will say I will never be back especially to this hotel the valet is extremely rude the front desk workers are also very unhelpful we waited for what seemed like forever at the desk and we had paid extra for a double bedroom room and was told that they was putting me in a room with only one bed And then they said they didn t have the room I paid for available the room wasn t great either when we did get to that very out dated overall not a good place to stay
Property was nice only downside was rooms were outdated
Nice, professional Services and friendly and helpful
Very nice rooms and a nice pool I had to myself much of the time.
Great location, lounge has food and drinks all day, quiet
I like this place. People are friendly. I will definitely stay here again
Everything was as expected for a 4 star hotel. Nothing special (for the area), but no complaints either!
Great location and nice rooms. Staff was very friendly. Loved my stay!
Room was very nice and clean. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and polite.
Wonderful place to stay! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary weekend in Houston, and we were so please with our stay. The staff was very friendly. We had wonderful customer service, and the hotel was very clean. Easy to find hotel and easy to go in and out. I recommend this hotel!!
This was the worse experience I and my company have ever had at a Marriott property period. For example, the conference rooms were not set in time for our meeting to start. The gentlemen who was setting up the room on Friday was by himself and we were starting our event however he was in and out trying to get everything set. We finally asked him to please leave because of the noise and being a distraction. Things that we talked about to our event person for the conference was not even set up at all during the conference. In fact when I personally raised that point she just simply said, oh sorry and kept doing what she was doing. The conference room was actually very cold. In fact a lot of our guest was just bring blankets from their rooms to stay warm. We asked several times to please make the room warmer but nothing changed the entire event. This was to most complaints we have ever had as a 14 year old company about the quality of the hotel and guest rooms. The front desk held $1,000 on cards from different guest. When that was brought to the front desk attention they realized it was several mistakes however our guest was stuck with out $1,000 on their card for several days. We had a very very special guests who flew into town from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and London. Their room actually smelled like mildew and they had to keep the door open during their stay. This hotel was more worried about getting their payment when I arrived on Thursday then actually getting the event right and the guest rooms right. This was the worse Marriott experience in 14 years we have done event. I WOULD NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AND PROBABLY NEVER A MARRIOTT EVER AND WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ALL OF MY PEERS AROUND THE WORLD. THIS WAS AWFUL AND NOT THE MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE I HAVE BECAME ACCUSTOM TO OVER THE YEARS. WE DO 3 TO 4 EVENT A YEAR. THIS HAS EXPERIENCE HAS MOVED US TO A DIFFERENT CHAIN. Our company would like a FULL REFUND. At best this was Awful if not ABYSMAL AND APPALLING
The room was a great price, but now I see why. Kinda small. Parking is expensive. Woke up at 8 am in the morning to construction workers drilling in the next room. Really was annoyed. Why would they rent out rooms knowing that they are having construction done in the nearby rooms. The point is to relax when on a vacation not be disturbed and annoyed.
Pros:This place is clean & convenient location, close to downtown, shopping & several restaurants. Location is right near 3 major freeways. Service is nice, very friendly & helpful. Beds are comfy.
Cons: View is terrible only can see side of other buildings or inside of hotel. Parking is expensive & not convenient. The parking is too full due to it being shared with other businesses but still expensive. WiFi is expensive as well as food, and drinks. Although the hotel bar & restaurant is very nice & moderen with friendly staff just pricey. Rooms are dated without microwaves.
