This was absolutely disgusting. As soon as we were walking down the hall to our room, the hall reaked of smoke, though the rooms were "non-smoking". When we actually got to our room, as soon as we turned the lights on, a cockroach ran accross the counter. Do not stay here.

Used this hotel for a giants vs eagles game and was VERY disappointed. We were unable to check in on time because we were told there was one maid working and no rooms were cleaned. Used the bathroom in the lobby and there was trash everywhere and no paper towels.

Friendly staff. Complimentary coffee in the mornings. Spacious and clean rooms. We would get an uber to Secaucus train station which was never more than $10 and caught the train into the city. Easy to navigate and the best way to get to the city for a very reasonable price!

I booked a room on June 20 for June 22nd through a third party dealer. The night of June 22nd I called to tell them that just landed at JFK airport and was on my way in. The guy on the other end of the phone said that they were booked and that they didn't have a room. I explained that I had a reservation and that I had already PAID for the room and the guy said that I needed to call Priceline and tell them and I'd get my money back. I explained that I was not worried about the money - I wanted a room. He said that"It happened all the time" and that he could not help me. I was upset and the employee of Extended Stay America proceeded to hang up on me! I called back and asked for his name - Ray - and asked for his supervisors name, and then he hung up on me again. I will never stay at this hotel chain ever again. I called their 800 number and talked to a "Guest Services" rep and he called 5 hotels in the area and could not find me a room. This is a very poorly run company. I would spend my money else ware.

Nasty employees of the evening shift. Not qualified to be in any customer service position. They had to reprogram my card twice with an attitude like if it was my fault. Raised his voice because I requested a room change because room 117 is noisy because its very close to the entrance and he rudely told me I was lying. Horrible ghetto customer service.

I called to say I would be checking in late. I was informed that I would be charged $10-15 for this. I can not find this in my agreement. It might be in yours. I called customer service and they agreed to check on the issue within 24 hours. I also was offered the option to call them again on Monday.

I stayed for a funeral recently and the staff was great. Isaiah had great restaurant suggestions and very helpful with questions. Madeleine is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to assist you. Ms Esther resolved a billing issue right before my departure. The location is clise to the city and conveniently located to shopping and restaurants.

I've made a reservation and paid it online. I needed a late check in, around 11pm so I called asking if it was ok and they said it was. When I got there, the lady on the front desk was rude. I had to wait until she decided to talk to me and she talked to people that arrived after me first. When I finally had a chance to check in she said they were out of rooms. So I told her I had a reservation that was already paid and she said in a rude way that the only thing she could do was to offer me a handicapped room. I only accepted because it was late and there was no refund option. Terrible service. The room was clean though.

One of the largest & nicer hotels in this chain. Friendly staff and very helpful. Lots of parking. No grab & go breakfast due to Covid, but it does have vending machines for drinks and snacks. And there is an Ice Maker in the laundry room.

I've never been so disappointed and angry with a hotel before. The place needs to be renovated and cleaned from stem to stern. The staff while nice, did nothing to really alleviate the issues we had. They put us in 3 different units before we fohhnd one with everything working. We also found out that there's a $200+ ticket for walking off the hotel premises because there's no sidewalk!

Here is the quick run down
- be wary of broken appliances. The A/C was not working in the first unit they put us in.

Cleanliness leaves much to be desired
- the couch looked like it had not been cleaned. It's leather for crying out loud wipe it down so it doesn't look like there's sex droppings all over it.
- the cupboards and surfaces were sticky and dirty.

-we were told repeatedly that this hotel was across the street from a shopping area. What a big fat lie! We couldn't even walk away from the hotel except to go to the Hilton behind this hotel. There is also no transit.

We checked out within 3 hours (over an hour of which was spent looking for a functional room). And they couldn't even bother to give us a full refund. We were charged for a full night and were told to call customer relations to get the rest refunded.

This facility is across the highway from the sports complex, but has relatively easy access to the highways. The facility is comfortable and clean with WiFi and laundry facilities on site. The staff are friendly and accommodating. As Extended Stays tend to go, this is a larger facility. There is no pool or bus access to amenities nearby. This location would not be a good choice if you wanted to hop a bus to Manhattan; for that you'd do better in a Secaucus facility. Plenty of shopping and eats within a few exits, but not within walking distance. This is an ideal location for those having business or visits in East Rutherford or the Meadowlands, but other facilities are better for tourists wanting to visit NYC.

I would give zero stars if I could. I was attending a conference for work so I booked and paid for a room through Expedia. While at the conference, I called the front desk at Extended Stay America and asked if there was a specific time I had to check in by since I had plans to go to dinner straight from my conference. A staff member at the hotel told me I could check in at any time. It had snowed that night and the roads were very bad. When I got to the hotel to check in, I was told there was no room for me. The front desk clerk acknowledged my reservation and receipt of my payment but they gave my room away anyway. Even though Extended Stay America gave my room away, they blamed Expedia and said I would have to call them. Extended Stay America did absolutely nothing to try to find me another room in the area. Expedia informed me there were no available rooms in the area for me. I ended up having to drive home in the middle of the night and miss the second day of my conference. I had to drive for hours through the rain on wet, slick, dangerous roads. After reaching out to the hotel, I was told management would be calling me. No one ever called. It seems to me that one of the most basic skills a hotel staff should have is to make and keep reservations. Extended Stay America could not get that basic task right. They compounded the problem by taking no responsibility for their failure and offering no assistance or solutions. This has been a terrible experience with a terrible company.

I want to add that now, a week after they gave my room away during a snow storm, management still has not responded to my attempts to contact them. What a garbage company.

Worst place and staff ever! Disgusting rooms! Sticky floors! Best of all.... They let us check in and then post signs the following morning that there will be NO HOT WATER! Well we worked all day and need a shower! Who would check into a hotel knowing there's no hot water?! They refused a refund! We will be putting a dispute on the card... The management staff are the worst ever... Literally wanted to jump over the counter! If you ever choose to stay here you Need your head examined!

Very dirty place to stay. Room had food left over in fridge and freezer. Phone system did not work. TV did not work only on Spanish channels and a very few. Toe or finger nails on couch and floor of the gathering room area. I would not recommend it at all.

Good for the price. The room was a bit smelly but nothing strong, just enough to notice it. Maybe someone had cooked and didn't ventilate the room enough to let air in the room. Besides that, the room was very clean. I enjoyed my one night stay and the front desk person was very nice, he had free toothbrushes and razors. Friday Aug 2.

Talk about extended stay! My friend got a room and I came to visit, there was a stove with two burners counter space drawers and sink. Cabinets and space to put cutlery a full size refrigerator and a little kitchen area. There was a leather couch and a nice king size bed a bathroom with a powder room entrance with a separate sink! I could have lived there oh, it was very comfortable and if you needed other amenities they would have brought brought them to your room. In the heart of the meadowlands area of East Rutherford this hotel / apartments I want to even call it complex is a great choice for affordable prices for under $200 you can stay the night I believe he paid $150. vending machines and soda machines are in the lobby downstairs the only thing I wish was they were on each floor but that's no big deal. Definitely stay there if you are visiting the north New Jersey metro area

If I could rate zero stars, I would.

If I could rate zero stars, I would.

I booked my weekend here 2 months in advance of a concert I was attending at MetLife but when we came to check in, the door sensor on our hotel room door was broken and we couldn't get into the room. And the hotel was booked solid and there was nothing else available for us. No maintenance man on call to come fix the door immediately because he apparently doesn't work weekends. No easy way to get into the room otherwise. And the entire hotel was being run by one guy, while the amount of check ins were at a record high because of the concerts. Everything about the entire check in experience was absurdly stupid, didn't make any sense, and was an incredible inconvenience. The only reason we didn't get stranded after midnight with nowhere to stay is because the front desk rep named Ray did his absolute best to resolve our situation, working tirelessly with us to figure out how to get the door fixed and communicate with Expedia for a possible rebooking. And it wasn't even in his job description! Ray deserves a raise.

Also this hotel is apparently scheduled for a renovation at some point so everything in the hotel is pretty outdated and ugly. Appliances, showers, furniture, check in equipment, door sensors that allow you to enter the room...

Never staying here again. What a nightmare.

I called the front desk and asked what the age restriction was and the women replied, "21." I told her that on there website it says 18. She says, "Well since it says 18 you should be able to check in, but I am not completely sure." I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to that would no for sure which she transferred me over to reservations. I talked to another women and explained the situation. She looked on the website and saw that it was 18 and even talked to the front desk. She told me I was able to book a room. I hung up, but I wanted some kind of confirmation so I called back and asked if there was anyway they could send me an email that says I am allowed to check in. I called again and asked, they put me hold. They come back to tell me that she talked to the manager and they were updating the age restriction now and that I can't book a room even though it said 18.

Five of us staying in different rooms for 2 weeks ...

Five of us staying in different rooms for 2 weeks agree this place is way noisey.

Room service only every 5 nights meaning you have to get your own towels and amenties from the front desk. If you cook, you will also have to deal with week old food garbage or take it out yourself.

"Breakfast" is sugary granola bars and prepackaged muffins (unless they are out), instant oatmeal, and coffee. Very poor for the price.

They rarely check and clean the public areas. The same beer cans, plus new ones, have been laying around for over a week.

Smoke detector down the hall has been beeping and elevator torn apart for "construction" for over a week with no changes.

You can do much better for the same price elsewhere. All five of our rooms are moving to another nearby hotel. Bye bye Extended Stay.

Everyone was really nice. Yet the place is lacking a lot of necessities. Rooms are unclean. Carpets stained. The phone was not working. Toilet seat broken. Stove very slow to warm up. And to top it off, I had bedbugs in my room. I Fled away from this place.
