Good service in the front desk. The room was clean the parking lot was my dislike. There was a lot of people and most of them where confused about parking. People where smoking in the entrance door very nasty smell. I have stay multiple times here in the past years but this time looks like management is not doing so going to keep it together. I will say the rooms are nice and clean but outside of the hotel was not safe or clean.

I stayed at the Gateway for a conference this past week. Property was great, and a great location if you need to be by LAX.

The reason for the 3 stars: I waited for the free shuttle at Terminal 7 for 45 minutes - it is labeled "Joe's Parking Sheraton Gateway." The bus passed the pick-up spot 3 times; however, remained in the left lane (away from passenger pick-up) and did not stop or even slow down despite my waving it down. I called the hotel and they offered little support saying "they will try and call the driver." After paying for a Lyft and arriving at the hotel over an hour later, the front desk staff were unapologetic despite my frantically having to prep for a presentation in several minutes due to their delay.

Always an excuse, need for apology, slow response times from management, getting an answer to an in house call to front desk almost impossible, love the location, but the entire staff could use customer service training. There are a few staff members who are excellent at their jobs, but very few.

Raj Vyas makes miracles happen! Had issues with a third party reservation and Raj went above and beyond to make the situation right even though the fault was not on Sheraton.

Super clean location with exceptional staff!

Thank you for turning a bad night into a good one!

Excellent hotel! Something special happened to me, I arrived with my family without a reservation and found a better price than the one offered on the Internet in the different search engines. They gave me breakfast and snacks included in the price. The pool area and gym of very good quality. Jacuzzy and rest area next to the pool.

If you're looking for a good night's sleep close to LAX, look no further. The beds here are very comfortable, the sheets soft and the rooms clean. The layout of the hotel means you can get to any room with just a short walk to the elevator. Shuttles run from the terminals every 20 minutes, though you can also get there with a $10 Lyft. If you're looking to relax and enjoy your hotel experience, this is probably not the ideal place. No tub in the room, and the shower pressure was too low. Internet speed was terribly slow, even with the paid performance internet (free for Marriott Gold). Then again, if those things aren't important to you, this hotel will work just fine.

Impeccable hotel near the airport with great amenities, customer service, and great central location to downtown LA, Santa Monica, and Hollywood.

Hotel parking is behind the main building and is $17 a day or valet $42 per day.

I attended a Personality Hacker conference here, and we enjoyed the space. The staff was friendly, and they recovered my misplaced water bottle for me one day. The poolside is relaxing, with very comfortable furniture - perfect for visiting with friends!

First they rob you by charging too much,
then they steal from you by charging you for mandatory parking. They clearly worked with the city to make all parking around the area illegal.

The rooms are immaculate! The lobby is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The pool gets busy at night but not too crazy. The bar is amazing with good food and views. A little pricey but worth it.

A+

Don't think when you say what time you will arrive...

Don't think when you say what time you will arrive that your room will be ready at that time !!!!
The above is the one main vital takeaway which had a huge impact on me on an otherwise great trip. On booking here I was asked to say what time I would arrive. I said I would be there at 7am.
Now considering the fee was over 1000 nz dollars for 3 nights I had I felt a totally reasonable expectation that I would gain access to my room at that exact time.
I arrived there from New Zealand after a 12 hour flight at 7am to be told I could not access my room until 3pm. I said how I had made it clear I would be there at 7am but it was said that although you could say when you arrived it gave no guarantee. As far as I'm concerned this should have been made clear for a hotel charging this much per night.
What annoyed me thereafter was that I accidentally drifted to sleep in reception and was told to wake up (fair enough). I then saw someone asleep around the pool. I felt that surely if I relax around the pool in my shorts and t shirt that going to sleep would be fine. I was again told to wake up as someone next to me was as this was apparently 'a security issue'. I felt given the situation this should have been okay.
The room was a nice room and a nice bed. There was a little soap to shower with and a tiny shampoo and tiny conditioner.
The place seemed to have an ethos that rather than being anything special that you were paying for a privilege to be there.
The breakfast in the morning was nice but I couldn't help but wonder why on earth that wasn't included in the extortionate price. An extra 30 dollars each morning.
I'm a vegan person and there wasn't any non dairy milk out so you ask for it and its then given in a glass.
The bar had one vegan option where I had a couple of burgers. I feel the breakfast should have had some vegan protein sources, there were none.
Similarly I found it poor that outside the event I was at (virtual coach) taking place inside the hotel that the coffee outside did not offer any non dairy milk.
If I'd knew I could not get in my room when I arrived and the way the hotel was overall I would not have stayed there. There are plenty of guest houses nearby I couldve stayed in for a 3rd of the price or less and just come over to my event. Atleast I could have booked the night before and had a good nights sleep.
If you do want to go here at the very least don't assume your room will be ready when you arrive. It had a huge impact on my energy levels.
Seeing 1076 nz dollars come out of my account today purely for the 3 nights stay makes me wonder where on earth that went to. A nice room and a nice bed.

Very clean room! Great smell in halls and room. Beautiful, comfy decor in common areas. Bathroom clean and fresh looking. Black -out curtains that deliver! Stayed for one mid-week day/night in a double queen. Had a nice and comfy couch for extra kid to sleep on if needed. Close to foods $ & $$ priced. Would love to come back!

Parking is horrible! It rained while we were there. It was a walk to get to hotel. Beds & bathroom were clean, but not the most comfortable bed. We were spoiled at the London the first couple of nights we stayed in LA. Meh.

They overbooked the night I was supposed to stay but they set me up with another hotel down the street. I was pretty upset they didn't have a room for me even though I had a reservation, but they did handle the situation well so they get some point back for that.

We stayed here on the last leg of our crazy LA Trip. We were instantly greeted by the doormen who assisted us in getting our things up to the room. The huge marble columns and glass front doors give this place an upscale, classy vibe. Once in the door we looked up to the tall ceilings and beautiful decor of the lobby. We were checked In and up to our room with in minutes. The elevators are easy to access. Must use key card at night to access guest rooms from elevator. Now beware to the room number as the signs are misleading and you will end up on the other side as we did. The room had an amazingly fresh clean smell when we opened the door. We had a king size bed with a couch as well. We had a pretty cool view of the city and was able to catch a few planes landing. The room was very clean and stocked with the necessities. Huge tv and coffee maker. But let's talk bathroom. Very contemporary decor but I love it. Stand up shower only with full glass doors. Super hot water and awesome shower head!! Bed was the most comfortable ever and made me sad to leave. My only negatives about here is that housekeeping is a bit intrusive as they entered our room several times both days, even when we had our sign up and told them we didnt need it. The other issue is that they charged us 12.00 for a bottle water when we only drank one at 6.00 a piece. The concierge was very helpful as were the front desk ladies. The gift shop is moderately priced and has quite a bit to look over. The restaurant is spectacular and I recommend the egg rolls!! Theres also a Starbucks inside which I only seen open once. They do have great baristas and great coffee. The pool was being renovated so we were offered acess to a hotel pool near by but we didn't use it. The hotel is right next to LAX in a great location. Busy busy place but if your traveling for leisure, business, or a weekend getaway, this is the place for sure.

Everything about this hotel is quite efficient and attractive: rooms and the Costero Bistro on premises, with one exception: the hotel shuttle. We were assured the shuttle left every 15-20 minutes. After an hour there was a mad scramble for Lyfts to get to the airport. For a hotel a good one that serves LAX, this should not happen.

Rooms are fairly nice, and decent size for a hotel near the airport. Prices at the bar are with the usual up charge, but what's odd is that the self park is actually more expensive than the valet.

Beautiful hotel, interior staff great! But beware of the valet parking attendants. Was quoted $17.00 to park overnight. When I received my cc statement I was charged $50.00. I contacted accounting and have been given nothing but the run around! Sheraton don't give me your canned reply of "our parking is comparable to all the hotels around us"! Be a leader and step up? To pay $50.00 for overnight parking when you pay $200.00+ for a room is outrages!!

Had a fabulous stay. Two nights. Welcome glass of champagne was lovely. Room very small and looked directly at brick wall , no natural light. It's the city and an old building, so really nothing can be done to change this. Fabulous wine and cheese in the evenings. Complementary water bottles in the room :) Second night we moved to a corner suite. Worth the extra money. Great light and enjoyed the extra space. Continental breakfast was good. Location here is fantastic. We loved all the little
Extras. Will be back.

5 stars going out. The valets were very courteous and the wait for the shuttle was not too bad leaving the hotel.

Two stars on the return...The story, upon returning was not as rosy. The shuttle took a long time to get to the Southwest terminal (and it's terminal 1). It took almost 30 minutes to get back to the Sheraton with an overfilled van! There were other issues, but enough said.

Whole hotel had no hot water for about 8 or 9 hours. Talk to the manager on checkout she was rude unapologetic and dismissive. Quite frankly it's pathetic customer service. Shows how valued I was as a customer staying there whenever transiting through LAX. Time to find a new regular hotel.

FRIENDLY STAFF,CLEAN ENVIRONMENT,VERY HELPFUL STAFF,FAMILY &PET FRIENDLY...I ENJOYED MY STAY HERE,BUT THE PARKING SITUATION IS A TOTAL DISASTER...THE PARKING IS NOT FREE HERE FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS. ($17.50)with limited number of times that you enter&Exit Daily without being charged additional fees,or purchase a ($37.00 day pass).Just to park at a lot about a block away from the facility&the another option is to park vallet for ($49.50 )on the street,or at the entrance right in front of the facility.(They do allow you to park right in front of the property for a few minutes to check in,get organized, and then come back down to move your vehicle&the keys has to be left downstairs with the vallet department!
