The staff here is friendly, considerate, and warm. I cannot express enough how well I was treated.

I absolutely love this city. I was having my 40 year high school reunion in Santa Monica and ended up staying with a friend who chose Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel as our destination.
Great hotel if your in the area on business. Hotel is in the process of remodel (May 2016) and the rooms are very nice, modern, and business friendly features.
My employer held a conference here and I hope we come back again. In particular, Billy in the Banquet/Catering Department and Jose in the Bar were incredible. Very accommodating and impeccable customer service. Thank you!
It was a nice stay. The suttle is so quick to and from LAX. Bed was very confortable. Staff very helpful.
this hotel is doesn't deserve four stars! may be just two....
Room had been updated with walk in shower. Bed was comfortable and TV had high definition quality. Avoid the Breakfast buffet unless it is part of room price because for $33 after tip it is a poor value. Food was not hot. Scrambled eggs too wet. The cereal choices did not include any healthy choices. The Bagels we're not sliced to all for toasting. The coffee was hot and the service excellent. Order off the menu. It may be just as much but it will be hotter.
How about Parking? It is horrible to park and it is expensive.
The bad:
- had to change rooms when our room was flooded by the smell of marijuana smoke coming through the bathroom vent - turns out the guy next door was smoking in his room. He got fined, we had to pack up our family and change rooms
- when calling to complain of smoke, the attendant said she'd send up security and then hung up before we could ask for another room - with a newborn and a two year old we were not sticking around - I had to call back to speak to someone else to change rooms
- changing rooms is tough when you're working hard to maintain schedules while traveling, we didn't have 45 minutes of flexibility to change rooms. We also trace with a lot of stuff with two young kids so it's a major production to move once you've gotten settled
- the only person that apologized was the bellman that helped move our bags
- Mac and cheese at dinner for our 2 year old was $12, my wife's order came out wrong - twice
- there were no wash cloths in our new room - making it tough to get our kids cleaned up at bedtime
- we called for a kettle which we needed to boil water for formula - th person answering thee phone was very rude (a bit of a pattern here) - it didn't come, we called back after waiting two hours to follow up
- I had to try three treadmills in the gym before finding one without garbage left in th cup holders
The good:
- parking staff and bell staff were friendly
- the serving staff in the restaurant were very friendly as well
- rooms are pretty nice, just like in the pictures
- noise in the room isn't bad considering proximity to the airport
- Starbucks in the lobby!
- well equipped gym with plenty of treadmills and there equipment
Room was great. The staff was wonderful. Great value. Only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was almost non existant.
Everything was excellent except I didn't need to have my card on file since it was a company paid event
Convenient to the airport very nice rooms helpful staff
Nice room, very clean hotel. Great service staff. Easy access to airport
Recently renovated. They have a Starbucks in the lobby. Free Internet if you stay overnight. Parking is expensive though. ~18/day but you do have in& out privileges. Just make sure you park in the right lot.
I personally was not a fan of this hotel. It s very dated on the inside. Rooms are very stuffy. I had fruits flies or whatever hanging around in my shower. Thankfully I was only staying a night so I touched it out. Only pro is that it s conveniently located near LAZ, I would not recommend this hotel for leisure trips and such.
The manager was amazing and gave the best recommendations on where to eat and what to see, even outside of Santa Monica. He definitely made our stay, we will for sure return!
They screwed up our group reservation and we ended up a room short. We made it work, but we had to share rooms and shuffle folks around. They also didn't make up one of our rooms. And the plus though the food at the restaurant is tasty.
Good hotel for location and price. Internet is free with spg status and parking is some of the cheapest you'll find for a hotel in the area.
Everything was great. They brought breakfast to our room, even though it was past 11 AM. Perfect 5/7, if you ask me.
Room was nice. Front desk and room service wasn't helpful much. You can hear every conversation the neighbor is having. Highlight of my stay was the bar downstairs, housekeeping, and valet.- a star for each of them
The manager at this hotel is extremely rude and lacks people skills. If you are having issues with eve service then don t expect any resolutions with this manager. They are so many other hotels In the area with better rooms and efficient service
Rooms very clean, service was great. Love the location everything we needed was close proximity.
Awesome continental breakfast! Saw a lot of pilots there so it must be a popular hotel amongst them!
Clean rooms, nice gym, timely drop to airport. Staff could do better never asked status or cared to ask for receipt on checkout.
Upon arrival we are told that they were overbooked and our room had been sold. We would have to stay in a smaller room than we ordered. We were offered no compensation and told that we would need to switch rooms tomorrow. We came back in the morning to switch rooms and were told by a different employee that we should have been offered compensation. She then upgraded our room and gave us 40 dollars of credit. Their policies seem to depend on who you talk to.
30 min to check in even though titanium
No hot water or pressure.
Breakfast was horrible. Eggs coffee oatmeal - better at a Hampton inn or Home2. Sad
Walking distance to LAX. Starbucks in hotel. Clean rooms.
Unprofessional Reception staff, unprofessional Bell desk staff, Parking Expensive $45/$33 (not included in hotel), no discount, Internet Wi-Fi NOT FREE.
Parking sucks, but overall a nice place to stay if you're around the airport.
The location is great for sightseeing. There are several restaurants within walking distance
Stayed for one night, booked through Hotels Tonight for $99 King bedroom. Shuttle to airport was <10min. Very painless.
Great hotel near the airport, where a free shuttle bus service. Breakfast is excellent.
Hotel: There was a young latin woman at the front desk who acted with a lack of professionalism. She should have been working instead of chit chatting as well.
Lounge: There was an older caucasion gentle man at the bar along with an older latin gentleman, both were very polite and courteous. A blond woman with an accent was very pleasant.
Restaurant: A tall french manager along with a latin bar tender who was wearing glasses were both courteous and helpful. There was a short asian woman who was a server at the restaurant, I beleive she is no longer there and thank God because she acted with such a lack of respect and professionalism.
Dinner meal (steak) was good. Dessert was very good. Breakfast (buffet) was good.
Parking: They lost my keys. They were courteous.
Newly renovated it seems...plea a entry surprised...
IT WAS TONS OF FUN! i did a backflip and bent a hot chick over and gave her a huge, delicious, thick, juicy chicken burger
The bedrooms are very clean. The employees, kind and welcoming
Very nice hotel! Clean, friendly staff, great food at Lounge! Only a couple minutes to airport, shuttle provided.
Nice environment, very expensive and everything costs to go in and out of the parking lot cost roughly 40$ a day. Also pur room was not cleaned good hope the bed spreads were. The chrome on the sink and tub were not cleaned, the sink was not clean and stained towels in the room. We paid to much for this stay and im not 100 percent happy more so 65%. And one day only 2 of 5 elevators were working, and we was on the 8th floor I came to relax not exercise.
Spent 1.5 hrs at the Starbucks working. Pretty crowded but the hotel was nice.
Long layover in LAX. Shuttle was regular and as fast as it can be in LA. Room was clean, quiet and nice. The room service delivered late which was a big plus. Leaving early in the AM it only took about ten minutes to get to LAX.
I really like the place and accommodation! Breakfast was presented as though cooked by the star chef! Lovely choice and we had our coffee sitting in the garden looking out over the lock! The hosts were amazing, knowledgable, and super friendly. I forgot the names. It's so wonderful to find the perfect place to stay for future trips! I'd never been to Scotland before, so this amazing place totally enhanced my trip!
Anthony at check in was lovely and the fish taco were amazing!
Very convenient to LAX. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable.
Awesome place- we got a king suite and it s huge! Staff are really helpful and i got the $25 a day upgrade for the Sheraton club that comes with breakfast& appetisers- definitely worth it. It was my partners birthday and we got a complimentary delivery of wine and food for him which was so lovely. The only thing I could ask to improve on is the speed of service- I had to ask for room Service 3 or more times every time I ordered something and it took about 4 + hours each time for it to come. Same with fixing my room key to the Sheraton club, took a few hours to get done. Other than that- amazing place thank you
They don't accept cash for a deposit on a pre paid room and refused service. I would not recomend.
I did not stay at this hotel but I was visiting for a conference. I was presenting in a small room that overlooked the valet station and the smoking area outside the hotel. Not the greatest view.
The audio/visual team for the hotel was very helpful when he came to assist me setting up. The space if pretty nice. I needed a few copies of a part of my presentation and asked the concierge desk for some direction to the business office. Instead, the concierge took my paper to the back and made copies for me. I was really grateful because he saved me about 15 minutes that I needed to prepare for my presentation.
The experience of the conference has been good so far. The location is clean and the employees have been very helpful.
The location at where we attended the gathering was well kept and gorgeous. The workers existed, but they blended in without causing not bringing attention to themselves. It was tremendous.
Great hotel and staff all round with the exception of the restaurant! We were ignored for about 10 minutes when we arrived and then again when we sat down at our table we were left for another 15 minutes. The staff seemed to be running around like headless chickens and when approached were not very friendly. When we were eventually served the food was good and the wine was nice
Great price for the rooms. Staff was very friendly. Nice tiled stand up showers. The restaurant and breakfast restaurant are very expensive for what they are, but the staff abd service was always fast and courteous.
Stay was fine but they charged my card for the valet when I paid for it in cash. Now I have to waste my time and dispute this charge. I wonder how many other people they try to double charge?
The bed and the rooms were clean. However, an alarm that I did not program went off at 3:30am. The front desk's response when told was simply to say they would notify the engineers. No apologies offer to make it right. Awful customer service experience.
Was at a work function there. The hotel was very clean and organized and the rooms are decent as well. The hotel bar was very basic and could use a revamp
Attended an event at this location and had a few meals. The first in their restaurant and the same econd was a catered meal ok in one of their ballrooms. The serving staff were fantastic with both experiences.
Awesome hotel, great services and good tecnology and entretainment
Great room close to airport. Enjoyed some time at the bar in the lobby ! Close to airport
Rooms and breakfast were great. But service, online ease, communication between employees, and having to find parking and having different parking rates seemed poor in quality. There are many other hotels nearby and I would recommend those to my friends before this one.
The hotel is very nice and comfortable, great location, 10 min walk and there is an inn & out also, Kohls, ross, TJMax among others ....
Management does not appear concerned with keeping your business. Talking to the manager was a fruitless endeavor. The airline s travel agency stated it would contact the hotel to give them the voucher code to extend my stay. I soon learned the next day this was not possible.
American Airlines lost my suitcase.. I was not able to make my flight to Hawaii either. Travelled 12 hours to Los Angeles just to have my trip to Hawaii cancelled. Very tired going back and forth to the airport from the hotel with a support animal to rectify issues the airline caused me.
I asked the manager if he could wait as I just got back to the hotel. I wanted to eat and feed my dog. He looked at his watch and said it was 11:06 and that I had time to go back to the airport and get the voucher . He said he was instructing me.. lol unreal
Can I add that the first night I stayed at the hotel, I was put into an adjoining room and was unable to sleep because of the people making a lot of noise at 3-7 a.m in the morning. Not cool after you ve travelled 12 hours.
Their shuttle bus driver made a very unfriendly comment on the bus. He said due to the issues I was having while visiting the states was probably karma. Then he said, I hope you have a safe flight back (insinuating I have bad luck and hopefully nothing else bad happens to me).
Well a bad experience overall and the hotel did not help the situation
Airline put me up at the hotel after I said it would be too much trouble to transfer to a different hotel as I was already exhausted traveling.
In the future, when I make hotel reservations, it won t be with any of the sheraton hotel chains. It will be with the Hilton or holiday inn.
I ve just asked the airline to put me on the first flight out of here as I don t want to stay at this hotel or in this city another night but unfortunately they can t send me back until tomorrow.
Empathy is very inexpensive and yet some people working in leadership lack this basic skill. I would have even given you my credit card to hold the room as I was very exhausted going back and forth to the airport on very little sleep.
Was great time spent there... I like it n will like to be there anytime again...
Nice rooms and nice conference rooms for large events.
Hotel was fine but had lots of trouble getting a billing error corrected. Plenty of other choices nearby, not worth the hassle.
Loved the room the staff was helpful but seemed a bit on the dirty side
