Computers non functional when I checked in - waited 45 mins for checkin. I was given wrong room number while handing the key. Rude valet service. Very noisy rooms - you wake up in midnight every time some people arrive or depart through lifts ...no noise isolation in rooms.

I found the rooms to be very claustrophobic. We were upgraded to a suite (there was a MAJOR issue with security, who I will simply describe as people who were probably kicked off the LAPD for corruption), which was spacious, but still seemed claustrophobic.
I would recommend the other two SPG properties by LAX, but not this one.
The front desk took way too long , in spite of the fact that my partner is a Platinum SPG Member. And Security was resentful the entire time .

We felt safe in the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The first room had a broken toilet, without any problems we quickly got a new room. The cleaning power was very good. Heated pool, hot tub and outdoor area were also very good. One point deduction only for the proximity to the airfield and the volume of the aircraft until about 23 o'clock. There are no soundproofed windows. Otherwise everything would have been perfect.

Check personnel was nice and helpful. The room is clean and cozy. The price is fair. The lounge/bar tenders are slow to help and avoid conversation and eye contact. Have been waiting an hour for a beverage refill.

This was a two day stop for us. It's been helpful for us especially when we're cruising. We got the best of both worlds. A nice clean place to stay before or after our cruise. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast also.

Everyone from this hotel are pleasant and helpful from the security to the concierge, the receptionists, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome. Although the hotel was very busy and full of guests in the lobby we managed to check-in and out with ease and staff were still smiling. Our room was clean, bed, and pillows are so comfortable! I strongly recommend staying here!

Well the first stay here for an overnight stay to catch a morning flight was good. Breakfast buffet was included in my room rate and it was good and Pedro a good waiter! The second time (10 days later) I requested a high floor and Regretted it after getting to our room. If it hadn t of been 12:45 AM and we were exhausted we would have asked to be moved due to the smoke smell and the bathroom configuration. The bathroom sink was just a small sink with absolutely zero counterspace, no place to put anything. We did have breakfast again and Pedro was again our waiter and was very good. We would stay here again just make sure you have a different bathroom.

A very nice hotel. Less than 5 mins from the airport. The rooms are very modern and clean. The staff was very friendly, and always greeted me with a smile. This is one of the best beds I've ever slept on!! The internet is very hit or miss, and over priced. I ordered room service just to be disappointed by a bland boring $20 sandwich. I do recommend the Bianca pizza. I would definitely stay here again!

Been staying here every year, but no more. You can tell all the places where the owners cut expenses. The club breakfast no longer has simple things like juice, cereal, bagels pastries. The common areas such as ballroom, lobby are freezing cold with no heat. Ended getting sick staying here. Stay elsewhere.

I didn't want to make a long commute the morning of my flight, so I booked a room at the Sheraton Gateway. There were some issues with my check-in and Leah was so helpful and did everything she could to make my short stay a pleasant one. Location was fantastic for my departure and my room was clean and roomy.

Booked a one night stay for a concert I attended. At first, it was great. Based on my stay and the hotel itself, I would've given 4-5 stars. However, shortly after checking out, I noticed that the hotel charged me an additional $500 (mind you I prepaid for the room and my deposit had already been taken out when I checked in). I hadn't gotten any type of phone call, receipt or e-mail correspondence in regards to the charge. When I called the hotels accounting department, I was told that the $500 charge was to cover damages to the desk in the room. I didn't even use the desk. I used the bathroom to get ready in and the bed to sleep in for a short period of time. That was ALL. I went on to request further details in regards to the damage, because I knew for fact that it was not a result of my stay in the room. After waiting for a day, the associate who was helping me e-mailed me a photo of the damage. It literally looked like someone angrily took a knife to the surface of the desk. I was then told that if I wanted to dispute the charge I would have to contact my bank. I explained that I would not be contacting my bank because of their staffs incompetence. Clearly, upon the previous guests check out, the cleaning staff (or whoever) didn't do a well enough job checking for damages, so they decided to assume the damage came from me just so that they could get money out of someone. I totally understand if I were responsible for the damages. In that case, I would've brushed it off and taken the responsibility because I am an honest person. I asked to speak to a supervisor because it wasn't fair to have to go through a 30-day dispute with my bank to only hope for my money back that paid for someone else's damage to their property. Ultimately, and with a fight, I was granted a refund. But, I am completely turned off by the way this was handled. I would've appreciated being contacted by someone before $500 was wrongfully charged to my debit card without explanation and not being (basically) told to deal with it when I called to complain. Horrible customer service in that aspect. I will never visit this hotel again.

Beware of the Starbucks inside the hotel. The price they charge is different to the price list. Check your receipt carefully after you have ordered something or else they will charge you more.

Fantastic Hotel. Conveniently close to LAX with a free airport shuttle. On-site bar and restaurant was a good choice. The Sheraton is a very good choice for a business or vacation stay.

I have stayed here in many occasions when I visit LA especially for layovers through LAX. Ive always felt that this property is of good value and quality. A lot has changed from my last visit 6 years ago and not for the better.

I was supposed to stay in LA for 3 days but decided to leave after one night. I should have listened to some of the reviews here.

The moment I walked in the lobby, I already sensed a different vibe. The moment I walked in the elevators, I smelled smoke and weed combined with chemical neutralizers to mask the scent. it was strong and horrible. I should have checked out right away but I was so tired from my international flight that I decided to proceed to my room. The room had a smell but not as strong as the elevators. However when you go to the bathroom where the main vents are, you will strongly smell it. I had to close my bathroom door all the time and not breathe when im in the bathroom to avoid this. Anyone who is health conscious should take this property off your list.

I tried to venture out to get some food and there were just creepy, shady and questionable characters roaming around. When I walked in the elevator a woman had a portable electric stove and a small appliance and she told me she is moving in for awhile. Long story short, this property has taken in needy groups of people who may need housing during this pandemic. I applaud them for doing so. I am all for helping the needy especially in this time of need. However, guests like me deserve full disclosure. I asked them before I checked in if this is true and they vehemently denied it. That is an outright lie. I am not appalled at their charitable actions, I am vehemently against their total disregard for paying guests to know what experience they may have to go through during their stay. Im sure some guests are ok with it but some may not. My biggest problem is the smell of smoke and weed that I have to inhale even in my room. This is unacceptable especially for a non smoking hotel. Please dont tell me that you fine guests who smoke in your room when these smokers are the homeless people who will not be able to afford paying the room let alone the smoking fine. If this property wants to be a homeless shelter that is wonderful, I might even send some contribution to help but you cannot be both. It is not fair for regular paying guests.

the one star is for the service I received from the lady in the front desk and the cleaning staff who really provide wonderful service despite the environment they are in.

The shuttle takes forever btw, I had to wait almost 30 mins before it arrived. They had to call it and ask whats going on. If you need something and you dial 0 from the room, you will either not get a response unless you have the patience to wait a very long time.

I understand that we are in a different world. However, we cannot use this as an excuse to provide poor quality and expect guests to pay the same price. There should be a balance in all this. Sadly, I don't think I will be back in this property again.

DON'T BRING YOUR CAR. The other reviews are right! Parking is a joke. Here's a tip: Cars don't make sense here. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport (all terminals) that runs 24/7 every 20min. Use that to get to and from the airport. You will pay more to park the car than to rent it! One reviewer says that they wanted $28 per day but the actual rate is $38 Plus Tax! I noticed that one guy was paying only $18 but that's still Way too much. Now, if you need to go somewhere else, you'll need a car and once you have one, you don't have to stay near the airport. You're free to go somewhere else and that car will pay for itself. (Hotel is actually much Closer than the rental car agencies so you'll pass it on the way to get your car!)

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean but small and had no safe. Typical high-priced internet that barely works. Typical $3 bottle of water in room. Breakfast was included for me but be careful if it's not included for you. You'll pay $50 for 2 (not including tip) and since it's buffet, a couple might pay $50 for just two cups coffee. Room rate was mid-priced (not cheap but not over-the-top) but they will get you for parking. Remember: If you have to have a car, don't stay here. If you can get by without one, this place isn't a bad option. As for the view: You're a block from one of the busiest airports in the world -what do you expect? You'll see rental car parking lots, commercial freight companies, and other rooftops.

Today My 15 year old Son and I arrived at 8am for a three day stay and Sherif was wonderful on finding a room for us for an early check in . While we waited they treated us to breakfast . Shortly after breakfast Sherif found us a room and my son was fast asleep by 930.
The entire front desk staff was fun and pleasant. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again . Thanks

Always a pleasant stay here. As a platinum member I have been 4 of the 6 times I have stayed here, this doesn't happen as frequently at the other Bonvoy hotels in the area. The food here is also very good. I have walked over from other hotels just to get the Pork Chops here.

Great hotel if you need to stay in LAX area. We flew in/out of LAX, and the free shuttle to the airport was very convenient. Friends came to visit us at hotel, and parking is very expensive. Better meet at restaurant nearby with free parking.

Decently nice hotel building wise. But as a lot of others here have mentioned that, the staff at front desk along with others are quite rude and unprofessional. Staff here needs better training on customer service for sure . One star because some of the staff. With Sheraton , I expected better service , not kids with uniforms. But room and lobby looks nice. Parking is $37 a day. Meh over all not impressed. Would of probably gotten friendly service at a motel 6 or super 8 sadly .

After our experience here, we wouldn't stay at a Sheraton again. The room was nice, the food was good, bed comfortable, but our reservation was screwed up and they didn't seem to be able to unscrew it during our entire stay. It's hard to know how
much of that was baked into their system and how much was the result of an incompetent, overly chatty front office agent, but we wouldn't take the risk again on a company that appears to appreciate it's guests and their time so little.

I just got back from a trip to Los Angeles and had the privilege of staying at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel Hotel. Upon first arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. I was always given a friendly smile and kind words whenever I arrived or left the hotel.

Convenient hotel very close to LAX with free shuttle running back and forth to the airport. I travel to downtown quite a bit and stay at this airport whenever rooms are sold out there. Nice large rooms with modern decor. Clean bathrooms round out the room. Club lounge with breakfast for those with access.

I should add that the beds were comfortable. The staff seems nice aswell. The suprise parking cost was ridiculous though. The constuction started super early and the room is facing that way. The pool was closed down for whatever reason. Also the bathwater got warm but definitely not hot enough to have a hot bath. You can have a warm one. Maybe its just this room its possible parts of the hotel get better water idk.

Met a friend at Costero for dinner before her flight the next day. Restaurant staff were very attentive and the food was good. Portions are a little on the smaller side though. All in all, I would go back.

Nice
