The location was perfect. I needed a 24 shuttle service to the airport, which they provided. The staff was fantastic!!! We ate dinner, which was delicious. The room was clean, and beautiful. The beds were super comfortable!

Staff is very friendly, facility is clean and organized everywhere you turn, house keeping is on point. Not really much to complain about, very decent hotel, overall
Edit: had to subtract a star due to on issue that I experienced 3/4 mornings of my stay... waking up to lukewarm water for my shower. I've NEVER run out of hot water in a hotel before...
Went for a large event. As I was a single person, the dining room refused to seat or serve me and that I could go to the bar. Sat at the bar for 30 minutes, men who arrived after me were approached and served and the two times I tried to speak to the waitress she looked my way then went to the next man. Rude staff
It is a very nice hotel, the rooms are very comfortable and are in good condition (as are the bathrooms). Besides, it is in a very good location, since it is close to LAX and, around it, has different establishments such as an In-N-Out. The only bad thing I experienced was that the elevators did not have the best performance (even one was out of order). But removing that, it is an excellent hotel!
Always a wonderful stay at this hotel. Centrally located and close to everything downtown. Quick and efficient valet parking. Great food options within the hotel. Kind and helpful staff. The rooms are always impeccably decorated, minimal, and functional. We had a room with a small patio and fantastic view of the downtown skyline.
Valet was incredibly accommodating and helpful in giving directions for places we need to go. The room itself was extremely comfortable- the bed, pillows, size of our room and the bathroom bring my review to 5 stars. Will be staying here again
The hotel is fine, the rooms are spacious and quite clean, the bed quite comfortable, the soaps scarce but in general everything is fine. The only thing that the staff of the restaurant emphasizes a lot the prices of the food, so much that they get to be a little offensive and aggressive at the time of asking you that you are going to eat, they tell you constantly if you have seen the price and if you are sure that what What you want is what you want (pointing to the price), I felt quite offended, and the second day I did not stop and at breakfast I had to call attention, then apologized saying that there were people who did not want to pay alleging They thought it was free but I think you should not treat everyone equally, and you should look for another system to communicate to people.
For those who need to spend the night close to the airport, in a reasonable price.
Pros: The free shuttle service is from/to the airport is great; Very good complementary coffee.
Cons: The hotel is quite dated- requires serious redecoration; The room is not sound proof- We could hear the noise from arrived flights untill the early morning.
Close to LAX. Descent bar and restaurant. All of the touch screens in the workout center hardly function and are very frustrating. Maybe management should rethink the ashtray just outside the sliding glass door to the treadmills?
I was stuck at LAX for the night so called to book a room. He gave me a quote that was lower than what I found online but he said he would match it. Put me on hold out of nowhere for a few minutes, came back on and asked if he could help me. Acted as if he had no idea who I was. Was extremely rude and said they were completely booked. Never have been so disappointed with hotel service in my life. Was stuck sleeping in the airport for the night.
Clean. Comfortable beds. Has on Demand movies but expensive, pet friendly, great customer service. Expensive parking. Charges for wireless. Room rates reasonable. I woul stay there again.
Good place to stay prior to an LAX departure. Nice showers and beds. If you're flying Delta, make sure you know which terminal your using. It's a bit of a walk if you get dropped off at the wrong one. Cost > $100/night.
Bon hotel, amb habitacions amplies i in bon restaurant per sopar i esmorzar. El personal molt amable, i les habitacions netes i amplies, potser un pel antigues. Bon servei de trasllat a l aeroport.
Good hotel, with spacious rooms and in good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff, and clean and spacious rooms, perhaps an old one. Good transfer service to the airport.
Good hotel standards. Very clean. Nice decor. Friendly service. No noise problems from planes coming and going from LAX across the street. Comfortable bedding.
This hotel is Awesome the food is was Great the staff...Wow!!!!! Excellent Customer Service Juana at the front desk you Rock!!!!!! My room had the best views. I will definitely be returning ,and highly recommend anyone to stay here.
I had a long overnight flight delay and the Sheraton Gateway was a nearby option for a few hours of napping. The free shuttle there was quick and courteous, the concierge attentive and engaging, and the room was clean and inviting. Loved my entire short visit. Only marks against were the down computer during checkout and the strong smell of cigarette smoking from another room on a non-smoking floor, both out of the control of the hotel to be fair. I recommend the hotel based on my experience.
I wouldn't stay at this hotel if I had a change in the future. Only plus is the proximity to the airport. The hotel did not provide any shower cap and only bottle of free water. Parking is not free or for a discount fee.
Quiet hotel right near the airport. I have nothing to speak, reception staff polite and helpful. The only problem is the parking. As I did not find a place to park "for free", I had to use the parking in the back street that charged $ 12 a day.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. A very well equipped gym that was accessible 24 hours a day. They offered free transport to and from Manhattan Beach which I really appreciated.
Good hotel right by the airport. Arrived late at night and went straight to the hotel. Walked a few minutes in the morning to pick up a car from Hertz. Location was perfect, check in was seamless.
So frustrating to deal with them. Bad management. RE: I spend hours on the phone to resolve the issue and not sure sharing the information here would change a bad management.
The staff is super friendly and aleays make me feel welcomed everytime i come back. It has a beautiful sparkling pool. Fast internet clean and extremely comfortable rooms. I wish check out time was a little later. I lovr the TVs they havr around the place so you never miss a good moment during any sports games that are on! Its close to many shopping centers, restaurants event centers and the air port. Easy access to 10 fwy
I was dropping off family members staying here in order to catch an early flight the next morning. The valet staff didn't help unload luggage(I did it all, whatever). I also had to specifically request a bellman come get the luggage that I had set on the curb after the valet staff told me they "couldn't be responsible" for the luggage because they were too busy with helping all the cars, even though they gave zero service to the family members I dropped off. Slightly annoying.
I came to the Sheraton Gateway LAX to plan a large event as they have significant exposition space and relatively low room rates. This property was recommended to me by my travel agency as it has been updated recently by the guy who did the SLS Hotel on La Cienega in West Hollywood.
I confirmed that my dates were open and met with the entry level salesperson as the hotel had what I needed for my group which would have taken over most of their conference space and upwards of 300 rooms over a few days. This was a Monday and I was promised a bid by the next day - Tuesday. By Wends - I had to call to check on the bid with no answer. I heard nothing again until Friday when I was assured a bid was coming. It never came.
I called the property's General Manager, Michael Washington, and then heard from the Director of Sales who brought in the A-Team for a meeting. She confirmed dates, consulted with the security people on issues about the show, talked about how to show cars (part of my show) and showed me the inventory at the show. She sent me a bid complete with spelling errors and missing details. It was very much of "what we can't do for you". I asked to go over this with her on a phone meeting 1.5 weeks in and an 11:30 Wednesday meeting was set. I called the number at 11:30 and no answer. I sent an email. I heard nothing from the Director of Sales until I called her again at 3:30 that day. She starts in with the what we can't do for you and her favorite line "Let me be honest with you" which she stated easily 10x in the call. If she's being honest with me at that point does this mean she's lying the other times? Stay tuned... the story only gets better.
Remember the GM? He never returned my 2 phone calls. Friday at 4:30 I hear from him with the Director of Sales on the phone to say "we are renovating our space and can't accommodate your event". Really? You made that decision in the two weeks since I reached out to you? No you didn't. You just wasted 2 weeks of time working with your hotel.
If you are planning to host an event and want professional service - RUN don't walk from the Sheraton Gateway LAX. My father always used to say in companies "the fish stinks from the head down" and you can see what you get from the Sheraton Gateway LAX. Lies, misinformation, bait-and-switch pricing (the first salesman offered me a group rate $20 less than what the director of sales offered" and more.
We had an issue with booking. Breakfast was supposed to be included with it. Parking in the lot cost 17 dollars a day. The room was great but the added fees weren't communicated well when booking.
Rooms were clean. Bathrooms were also clean but for stray hair in the shower. That being said, the shower had amazing water pressure. Food and drinks at the bar are A+. Food in the restaurant was just ok - wouldn't eat there again. Convenient shuffle service to and from LAX. Great view of airplanes descending on to the tarmac - Very cool!
The lounge breakfast has been reduced to the "minimum required by Marriott" according to their F&B manager. This effectively drops them from a 4 star to a 3 star hotel based on hotelier standards. Plenty of other choices nearby include a better breakfast.
I was there for an all-day work conference in one of there larger ballrooms. They provided free breakfast, lunch, coffee. They also provided validation. The people were nice there too. I had a good time there. Very clean you.
I find it amazing that there are only two channels on the TV that are fuzzy, Fox News and fox Business. Maybe it's a coincidence, but Marriott does advertise on CNN. Everything else about the hotel is great. Staff Is really friendly, it appears to be recently remodeled and there are lots of amenities. Free shuttle service to and from the airport and a Starbuck in the lobby. All in all the hotel is an outstanding hotel.
I stayed because my airline overbooked and refused me a seat. They paid for a night at the hotel and it was a fantastic room. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and quiet. Dinner at the restaurant in the lobby was delicious and the beer selection was good. Thanks for a great night.
Poor service. Lousy WiFi. No free parking for guest. All parking are allocated for valet. Not convenient if you have medical condition. You are force to use their valet.
It was such a great stay at this hotel. I wasn't expected very much cuz i though it's just an another airport hotel but I was very surprised. We booked at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel at first for our LA trip but we changed to this hotel cuz we were going to have the rental car and the car parking itself is $40+ a day at the downtown Sheraton. So, we decided to stay at the Sheraton Gayeway which is still 4stars hotel with the good reviews plus the cheaper parking and great complimentary buffet breakfast. It's totally the winner if you are going to have the rental car. You can go anywhere in LA within 30-45min Max 1hour but it's worth it you can throw everything you need into your car and you don't have to deal with waiting the public transportation. Free wifi, free breakfast, nice big pool, and a hot tub, everything there make us so pleased and everyone there were very nice, friendly and responded very quickly as well. Don't be hesitate and think too much. This is LA and it's way better than your expectations for the price. Trust me I'm a kind of very detail person always looking for the best one with a great deal and this is the one.
This is a family-friendly hotel! My kids loved this place every time we are here and they had so much fun at the pool. Their sandwiches at their restaurant were the best tasting sandwiches we ever tasted. The rooms were very clean and tidy. It has the coziest and best mattresses in all the hotels we had in the past.
