Not bad...but wrong hotel. We meant to book the one hosting the meeting. Nice if you need to be close to the airport, but a $40 Uber ride about everywhere bc there are no regular Uber s. Just UberX and pool. So being that far was not a plus if you are there to explore. I swear I spent $300 in Uber s in 3 days. No room service, no mini bar, but clean and ok other than that.

Fantastic hotel. Great location minutes from LAX and the property is immaculate. 24 hour room service and the bar and lounge generally stay open until 1AM. Club level offers free continental breakfast and 24 hour access to refreshments, coffee/cappuccino and espresso as well as a nice place to lounge with friends and family to watch television or movies. The rates here are extremely competitive which earns this hotel 5 stars from a well traveled man.
Don't get deceived because of the 4-star hotel brand. The room & view look good, but the service is at the bottom. We went to a room with a coffee dispenser & coffee bags, but no drinking water provided. We called for 30 mins and no one picked up the phone. At the end of the first day, the hot shower water ran out, and they promised to have hot water again in 30 mins, but we didn't get that until the last day we were there. Literally a terrible customer service, with negligent & rude staff. Will go to somewhere else with a better service next time we're in LA.
Pro: The room was overall clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location close to the airport and other attractions. Con: Parking is off-site and $17/day, WiFi is not free, no fridge in most rooms.
Beautiful hotel, everything is nice except the silly restaurant in the lobby. I ate the worst chicken in my life for a very high price!! (The bartenders in the bar are nice people) Still giving the hotel 4 stars as everything else was nice. Clean large room, close to airport, and nice view from the window. If you need to stay close to LAX, this hotel is a good option.
Front desk service very accommodating, allowed me to check in early. Room was mostly nice, although there was a very questionable stain on one of the chairs. The pen that came with the room was also broken -- it was surprising to me that something this simple could be overlooked. Outdoor pool is nice and thankfully heated.
Rooms are clean and very good. The hotel was great. I hate that they charge you for everything. $20 to have a mini fridge in the room? Come on... I thought that was terrible.
Thehe entire staff is amazing especially the Hispanic girl with the red hair I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was amazing. She works downstairs at the front desk as well as on the 15th floor by the lounge. And there is a very bubbly African American young lady with light complexion who was also amazing. I had a few issues when I arrive in my hotel room on the 15th floor but it was all handled which I appreciate.
The fact that it's closer to the airport is enough to get me in the door and the shuttle to LAX are fast and frequent. The design is a bit dated but gives you a feeling what it was like in LA 30 years ago. Nice pool area and bar. I've only eaten at one restaurant there and had the breakfast buffet. I'm going to skip that from now on. Wasn't that clean and the food wasn't at all worth the price. Otherwise great service and a decent place.
Beautiful Hotel. The room was extremely clean, smelled nice and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Chinese New Year when we stayed, and the restaurant was nice to eat at. It was too cold for our taste to check out the pool, but it looked lovely. The concierge was very polite and helpful, both with checking in and in checking out. The shuttle was prompt and the staff were helpful and courteous. All in all, a wonderful stay!
Disappointed, the ADA rooms are not really 100% ADA compliant. If you have a disability, be prepared to adapt and improvise , as you can face some challenges, especially in the bathroom
The hotel appears very nice from the outset, but the customer service is among the worst I have ever experienced. The women working the front desk were incredibly rude and were not at all helpful when there was a miscommunication between the booking agency and the hotel. They were annoyed with any questions we had and were not willing to assist in any way. Absolutely would not recommend!
I had my son's wedding in this hotel. We had a room which had dirty towels on the floor and a messy used bed upon entrance!!! I called the room service at least 6 times and after waiting and disconnecting and transferring so many times, they screamed at me rudely that their system shows the room has been cleaned!!! So, I was lying that there is wet towels in the bathroom's floor with messy beds, apparently!!! Nobody believed me, nobody.... I gave up.... I asked for toilet paper in all my phone calls for the whole stay time but nobody cared.... I gave up again... I had to get in the hallway and find a cart and take one... It made me so angry and upset, knowing it is my son's wedding at this famous hotel and this is how they treat us... When I found the manager, he told me he will help me in my next stay at this hotel... Help me? Help me what?? The room was supposed to be with breakfast and they refused the breakfast and at the end they offered a simple breakfast for all this frustration. I will never ever use Sheraton in my future trips, never, very bad experience....
The Sheraton gateway Los Angeles is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The lobby is very comfortable and the gym is small but we'll equipped and clean. The rooms are very clean. And fresh. Its luxury at an affordable price.
Very rude service. Night manager is an absolute jerk, extremely long check in process and they still managed to mess it up by giving me the wrong room! Never coming back here again!
Newly renovated, vibrant and very popular hotel. Perfect central location, standing between the north and south runways to the east of Los Angeles International Airport, with an enjoyable drive to the beaches and the ocean drive on the west side of the airport.
Incredible hotel interiors! I was not expecting my stay here would be this memorable compared to other hotels. From their doorsteps, Leo assisted me, and He was totally impressive for me. They strive to provide us the best service that exceeds our expectations. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! Such an amazing service.
We had an overnight stay here with my friends. All staff members are friendly and professional. We ate here for our evening meal and the food was really great. The service was excellent for they accommodated us nicely. We enjoyed the views because it was so relaxing. We will be back here soon! Thanks a lot!
Been coming here for a conference over a few years. Very friendly staff. Conference rooms and lobby area relatively recent construction upgrades a plus. Rooms also got the same love recently too to be more modernized (simple stuff like USB charging in the rooms)
The room is very clean and nice. The restaurant is also great. A bit pricey but you get great food. It's right next to the airport and they offer free shuttle rides so that is great!!
Location is very close to airport but because of its location there is not much to do within walking distance and parking is a little weird. Inside the hotel is very clean and roomy as well as the rooms themselves however I wish there was a fridge and microwave. Overall I am pleased.
One of there Motto's is go beyond than why do you have to pay for the Wifi in the room. I know its free in the Lobby but most people who stay there are tired and on a layover.
The hotel rooms were spacious, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. The room included a safe and mini fridge. The desk area in the room was too crowded for me to work at. Other negatives included paid WiFi and paid parking. Valet parking is available, and there is also a paid lot behind the hotel at around $18.00 a night. The proximity to LAX is great. There is a restaurant and a Starbucks located in the hotel.
Very poor hospitality, rude staff. The waiters pull the menu out of your hand while you are reading it. Pizza was very poor soggy and over-salted. They don't return back change if you pay in cash and they just walk off with your money. They did not honour the lunch coupon that was issued. Give this place a miss even if you have nowhere to go.
After many years this is still a special restaurant to celebrate an event or a special evening. The main dining room remains formal, the food is exquisite, and the service is still astounding with just the right combination of thoughtful and well-trained staff. We have enjoyed many milestones here, and it is definitely worth the try!
The convenience of this hotel is the proximity to the airport and also just two blocks from Hertz car rentals. I recommend this hotel but if you are looking for a better SPG one then stay at the Westin LAX.
First off the website is very misleading, it said free parking, so we booked the room then my husband called to verify our reservation which is when we were hit with the $30 a night parking fee. Very upsetting and all that was offered is $50 towards a future stay, good thing we can use it at a different property. Parking is only $17 if you pay at the gate directly, and the lot is a block away. Check in was a lengthy process. The clerk checking us in had to make a phone call like she couldn't find our reservation, she also didn't speak up or clearly so we could understand her. The room was decent but they charge $26 a person for breakfast. We did not pay that for blah hotel breakfast. Luckily Starbucks is in the lobby. Walls are super thin, sounded like someone was being murdered next door, a lot of banging on the walls and loud thumps on the floor. Other than that it was ok. At checkout, two clerks were carrying a conversation, did not address us even though both looked at us. My husband had to say I need to checkout. The woman talked fast and over him as if to get us out of the way. We hadn't even walked away before she went back to her conversation. very rude and unprofessional. Will never stay here again. Would have been better off at the holiday inn down the street. We expected more from a Starwood property.
For the price I was not super impressed. There was no mini fridge and there was a gross odor coming from the sink. The bed was comfy and I didn't hear plane noise at all. BUT the front door was thin and we could hear neighboring doors slamming no problem.
Room was great, check in was great, until then 5 stars, but breakfast was a little too expensive and at check out something must have gone very wrong, staff seemed quite overwhelmed, and I need to clarify why after that $ 75 was deducted from my credit card, rather bad experience therefore, but possibly one incident. By the way, we drove Lyft to the terminal, we were not told about a shuttle bus (but we had not asked). Wi-Fi in the room costs extra.
Sadly stayed only for one night, just to transit for my next flight, but during that time, hotel accommodations were very good, a nice room for the guests, I've tried the restaurant named Costero, the tast was Ok and a bit overpriced. Attention of both (Hotel and restaurant) was exceptional my only complain is that the Airplane noise taking off that can be heared clearly, hotel is beside the airport but you can do best to reduce outside noise. I would come back, definitely!!!!! I recommend this hotel.
Surprisingly great, reasonably priced when I was there and with a number of convenient policies.
Quite a few things to like about this hotel. The location, which is amenable for daily car rentals if you're so inclined and so very close the airport. It's actually also quite convenient for exploring a large portion of LA. Hollywood, beaches and various museums are all with an half-hour drive. There's a selection of restaurants and fast food very close by, and it's close to the airport (an airport shuttle runs frequently).
The room we had was fairly well appointed, with logical positioning of furniture and outlets. The room had plenty of space. Washroom had plenty of space to lay out items. TV was fairly modern (although not a smart TV). Lighting was good for a hotel. The view of the runway was great for planespotting. The airplanes are largely unnoticeable once you get used to them and there's a low noise period at night which helps.
The facilities in the hotel were well maintained. A good variety of equipment in the large gym. The pool area was very convenient for those rest days and the hot tub was relaxing to lounge in. We didn't have any food in the restaurant, but the food in the lounge was excellent. During the evening there was a good selection of food which reasonably serve as dinner. The lounge itself was very beautiful and never crowded during our time there. The hotel had microwaves on every floor which was very convenient.
Service was the only area where the hotel was a little weaker, it was good but not great.
Overall, I thought that the hotel provided excellent value, and I would definitely return if I were in LA.
