Amazing old theatre. Smaller than most, more intimate space. Good disabled facilities, although immediately opposite is the cloakroom and you have to fight the queue to get access. Otherwise, great venue.

The appeal in this venue mostly lies in how small it is - you're guaranteed an intimate session with your band, comedian or whatever else here, even on the balcony.
Saw Mika tonight, brilliant venue, the staff kept good order and we had a good view. Would definitely go there again. Plus a good hotel next door. Easy night
The venue is very small , so if you are going to see a sold out gig make sure you get there early for a good spot if you are standing or get a seated ticket. Sound quality isn't the best especially for Bassey music
Poor accessibility. Steps into the venue, steps into the bathroom, no interchange between seating and standing.
One of our party had injured their knee about a week prior to the concert and had to sit down - the staff told her, citing safety issues, they could sit down only for a few minutes, after that they'd have to stand up or they would have to leave. The staff then proceeded to sit exactly where they told our party member they could not sit. Our party member ended up listening to the concert from the bathroom because that was the only place they were permitted to sit.
Bathrooms weren't as gross as some venues, but they were unpleasant - dark tide marks around the rim, suspicious splatter marks on the bowl, the lid, the seat and the walls.
I like this venue. It still has the charm of an old theatre but the facilities for live music. I have seen many bands here over the years and the audio is really good. Bars being on both sides means it's not too far to go get a beer and return to the dance floor. Long may it continue.
Two gigs in the last twelve months. Both times the PA has been abysmal. Ludicrously loud on the floor level and distorted beyond belief at the top. I could see everything but would have been happier if I could here what Sheryl Crow was singing. Snuck in to 1st level after giving up on top floor. 1st level was a more balanced sound but incredibly loud. Invest in a proper full auditorium pa and this could be a great venue
Came here for the 1st time to see artist/rapper "noname". I was greeted by friendly security who checked my bag before going into the venue. The area had atmosphere felt very in control the sound, scene and lighting was good. The crowd was well behaved. The crowd staff offered cups of water before the main act came on stage which I thought was considerate even though I didn't feel hot because the venue was well ventilated. I enjoyed my time at the O2. and loved the decor it was clean inside and didn't have a beer smell. I recommend this place for an intimate gig. Only disappointment the act on stage could of been longer although there was an encore which was a delight to the crowd.
One of the famous London venues, the Empire remains a firm favourite for visiting bands. Built with several levels no-one is too far away from the stage so a good atmosphere is guaranteed. The staff here are all incredibly friendly and welcoming as well!
Nice, intimate setting but I hated the disabled "platform". It was not explained by the registration team that the carers aren't allowed to sit down due to health and safety reasons. In every venue I've been to the disabled platform is completely separate to anyone else which isn't the case here. This should be made clear. It can take 4 manual wheelchairs. They never asked me the width of mine which is actually extra wide, so a second wheelchair user just managed to squeeze in next to me which wasn't comfortable with my friend standing behind me. It made it nearly impossible to talk to each other during the interval until the crowd disipated. I ended up in lots of pain due to it. I appreciate that you are trying to work with a small venue but I'm sure most wheelchair users who have been to other venues will feel less cared about. I appreciated that the top of the barrier was removed. My friend called up when I read about the carer situation. She was advised that it wouldn't be a problem to give her a chair. We found all the staff very helpful and respectful. We had to ask the supervisor to come out & explain to us & to be honest I felt most of the reasons only made sense if they had 4 wheelchair users in the space but for 1 or 2 it becomes irrelevant. It made me feel so guilty & means that instead of getting 5 stars because I loved being able to see Charles Esten and the Adelaides so easily, I have to reduce the review. I advised that all this should be made clear BEFORE any wheelchair user buys a ticket not afterwards. I want my carer to be looked after too seeing as they're ensuring that I can attend the concert in the first place. I would have coped better knowing this information in advance.
Amazing venue ...made special by seeing Billy Lockett in his sell out concert there ... Beautiful interior ...in fact stunning ..look up at the ceilings & balconys and you'll know what I mean !! I found some staff rather abrupt to be honest & certainly some struggled with social interaction skills !!
Worst standing area of any venue I've been to. Far too crowded. Can't get to bar, toilets or anywhere. I've been to several gigs here and same every time. If you're towards the back you can't see a thing either. I wish this place didn't severely oversell the standing area.
Went to his venue to hear Luke Combs & Ashley MacBryde last night. The venue itself is decent, intimate and comfortable, however, the accoustics are dreadful! We were seated on the level 2 and sadly could not make out what either artist was saying! I asked a lot of people in he same level and they agreed with me...What a shame because it did absolutely ruin the evening for me. The bar service was also unacceptable. 2 people working behind the bar is simply not good enough. Surely it's not rocket science to at least employ more staff to serve behind the bar for that crucial hour before the show!! I was advised that I needed to speak to a member of staff with the purple shirts on, who turned out to be a member of the security team! He advised me that I had to write to Luke Combs team regarding the complaint about the poor sound quality, but, he did assure me that there had been a sound check carried out earlier that day and the sound quality was fine. He also said that he found it strange that there were 2000 people in the venue and I was the only one to complain...!!! I wonder what he was suggesting....I found his remarks to be of poor customer service quality... Very disappointing experience for those reasons. I will address the sound issues with the appropriate dept as instructed by the venue staff member..
Great acoustics and easy access means you are never far from the act. Friendly staff and bars near the stage make for a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended
Great venue for live music with a big danceable downstairs to flex to your favourite artists and if your a bit older or disabled or just like to relax while listening to famous preformers there is seating upstairs. Buy a O2 sim card and put it in your phone for service. Once you have done this it will entitle you to more vip services including priority booking and entry to performances at this and other O2 venues. This can easily be achieved by buying a sim card from many local vendors for around one pound or contacting O2 and being sent one for free to be used in compatible handsets or devices.
Beautiful venue however it took ages to gain entry. Very crowded inside and way too little toilet cubicles. Had to queue for 30 min and inside the toilet there was water everywhere and toilet paper stuck in the dispenser so nobody was able to use it. Will avoid this venue in the future.
The O2 shepherds bush suffers from being too small, when a band is playing it s often difficult to impossible to reach the bar from the main floor, and even more difficult to reach the woefully inadequate toilets.
Last time I was there Security were hounding people off the stairs when the venue was empty, but then made no effort to keep stairways clear when the venue was full.
Personally I think this venue also had the poorest sound of all the O2 branded theaters in London: if you happen to have a choice then go and see a band at islington, Kentish town or Brixton instead as you ll have a better overall experience.
Excellent venue which is easily accessible by public transport and they have arrangement with Westfield for parking at reduced price. There is a large bar and the temporary seating was comfortable and well spaced.
Absolutely love this place. The sound is brilliant and because it is a small venue the shows are quite special as it doesn't matter where you sit, you are still pretty close to the stage. No need to watch the performance on a big screen because they are too small to see on stage. It is easy to get to, places close by to stay over and plenty of places to eat.
