The Mother's Day Brunch was fantastic. Wonderful staff too!
My family loves to come here for the snow tubing. The tube runs are nice and fast. The lodge is always clean and the staff is always courteous. It's not what I would consider a cheap afternoon or evening out, but we still try to do it once a season.
Long lines and had to wait 3 hours for kids to go tubing.
Great skiing! They have no control over the warm weather!
Sky Liberty is great, nice snow and wonderful service!!!!
Great resort near the DMV, perfect for kids learning how to ski... very nice hotel and restaurant, which has a little pool with a beautiful view.
10/10 recommend and would do again. The tubing was super fun, staff was all really nice, oh and Tyler is the best spinner.
I am an employee at liberty mountain. I know the trails like the back of my hand.
Super nice people and very reasonable rates for the rooms. Rooms are a bit odd but decent and clean. Adventure park is fun. Lots out very good restaurants and bars nearby, many on the water.
Love the ski resort! Staff is friendly and curtious. Closest location to Washington DC for skiing. The resort has golfing, a relaxation spa and other events/activities in the summer months.
The resort seemed clean and nice and professional! The slopes and views are great. Always a good time here.
Went skiing at Liberty for the first time on a relatively warm day (40's high, below freezing after the sun went down). Got a good quad workout on the black runs, a little disappointed that every steep was bumped up but that's what happens. Took a great bump clinic. They have a very large ski school and my instructor was terrific. Overall spent 4 hours and had a great time.
I love it the slopes were great and I had lots of fun ;)
Very nice, easy to ski all terrain. Usually has food snow
Great staff that is sure to help out if you're new.
Had a good time, weather was good. Only problem was it rained early in the morning so by time I got to the mountain it was all ice. I wish they would have made fresh snow to compensate... I will return.
I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn snowboarding or skiing is excellent,
Good food, a little pricey. Good amenities. Need to repowder slopes more often. Good service.
Great facility, we'll managed. As always safety is clearly job 1 here.
Visited for a friend's wedding; beautiful venue with breathtaking views. Modest but comfortable accommodations and delicious food.
Not a large facility, but extremely well done., Good quality, caring employees and a great location. That's what makes this place special for a quick day trip for skiing or hiking. Too bad it is temporarily shut down due to coronavirus. We need a vaccine president trump!
Great people great place overly friendly staff. Kurt and Andy go above and beyond and Way out of there way to make you feel at home and welcome and do anything for you! Just those two alone are reason to pay the price of admission!
Clean and comfortable, roomy, in room mini fridge and microwave is nice, breakfast included. Many restaurants on property to choose from.
Attended a wedding being held there. Catering service was outstanding! Food was excellent, and the ambiance and table settings were amazing!
Since changing ownership, there have been some negatives. First, the pricing. There is no half day ticket option. It's Feb, and there are currently only 15 runs open. I visited one day recently and was bored quickly. $75 for 15 trails open is high. Snowshoe has $95 lift tickets with 50 trails open. Until the full resort opens, there should be 4 hour passes or discounted rates.
Last year, I purchased a pass for $150 (and received 40% off lift tickets for the season). That was a good deal for me since I don't visit enough to buy a unlimited pass.
This year, because of the weather, lack of trails open, new pricing, etc... I'll be visiting less often. Hopefully the resort fully opens soon (until then please think about adding 4 hour windows).
Very nice for a Mid-Atlantic ski resort. Glad to see the adequate snow base with the weather nowadays. Went on a beautiful day and lift lines weren't long and slopes weren't overly crowded. Nice view from top and outdoor patio. Plenty for the kids to do as well. I would not recommend the kiddie snow tubing unless you are on the very very cautious side - the "hill" is so flat you have to push the children for them to go anywhere. The regular snow tubing looked awesome, but age requirement is 4 years and that counted us out.
Nice place overall, the eating area is not big enough
Besides snow shoe, majority of the ski resort in VA, PA isn't that good.
Great getaway close to DC..the resort is really nice..rooms were excellent...the staff and snowboarding instructors were very friendly and helpful. Recommend if your looking to learn snowboarding/skiing and a nice getaway from the daily grind.
It is a great place to go for snowboarding. We had a blast, however we went into the new bar as it said it was a place for locals and ski enthusiasts but I don't think I can go back. I can't reconcile paying $9 for a cheap beer. The pizza was pretty darn good, but most of the items are overpriced.
Seems like a great place for first-timers to learn. For experienced skiiers, the runs are very short and flat. For reference, the double black diamonds are similar in steepness to easy Blue trails out west, and the runs last less than a minute or two. Lifts are all fixed-chair quads (no high speed lifts), and no gladed runs. Having said that, night skiing is fun because every trail is well illuminated and the lift lines are very short (and the price for night skiing is very reasonable).
Went skiing/boarding there. Great people and great slopes
Liberty Mountain: Snow tubing is fun; food poisoning is not. I enjoyed snow tubing in late February but got food poisoning from a salad at the resort. The food poisoning was so bad, I had to be taken by ambulance to the emergency room. I notified Liberty Mountain Resort immediately but their response was disappointing. Even with good health insurance, I have received almost $1000 in bills. So frustrating!!
Very great place & wonderful helpful staff. I m definitely coming back
Just a classy place with a focus on the customer. The view is amazing the food was cooked to perfection and Gary is the MAN
What a great place. So much fun and the slopes are so comfortable for everyone s skill level.
It's home ... amazing facilities high-speed lifts top notch crew. It's East Coast skiing but it's some of the best around make sure you got an advantage pass for the season.
Food was great at eagle and the owl. Liberty is always a nice visit
The mount is broke up nicely, All skill levels are separated on the mountain.
For the price, this place is outrageously under-decorated, under-catered, and under-whelming overall. For a room straight out of a 1989 Best Western, $170 IS LUDICROUS. The breakfast buffet was fresh, hot, and tasty, but not much more than you'd see at a Holiday inn or Radisson. The dinner restaurant used ceasar dressing right out of a bottle and all I could taste was vinegar and salt. The coconut shrimp was good, but looked like it was from a frozen bag heated up. They were out of half the wines on their wine menu also. Granted, we just needed somewhere close to the Bluegrass festival, and everything was clean and the service people across the board were very kind, this place should be less than half the going rate per night, maybe $80 for those not using the golf package.
Lessons here are awesome, coaches really care about teaching you something and do their best. Equipment are good too, enough for beginners to medium skiers. Lift personnel act professionally. The only negavit point I notice is high prices on food items.
Smaller mountain, but it's still nice to have some snow and slopes that close to DC
I have not seen it this crowded ever. But kudos to the staff for handling and keeping the slopes in good condition.
For the area it isn't bad but they really rack up the prices for concessions.
Absolutely gorgeous place 1st time being there definitely would love to go back and enjoy all the activities it has to offer
Slushy and not worth the trip today. Maybe next week after the rains are done.
My kids love it. Everything is in one spot. Great food.
The lodge was closed when we visited due to unseasonably warm weather.
First time here. Not been skiing for a few years and I usually go to whitetail. Liberty seems bigger and the cost is lower. Staff was friendlier and they were everywhere. Def coming back
First time I'd visited since their major remodeling, and I was pleasantly surprised. We had their thanksgiving brunch, which was delicious. The staff let us linger at our table, while we caught up relatives.
Facilities were nice and the snow conditions were surprisingly good considering how warm the weather has been and how much rain we ve had. My gripe is about the food prices. Even by ski area standards they were outrageous. Two coffees, a soda, a chili cheese dog and a chocolate chip cookie, $27. Next time I ll pack.
nice for a quick DMV slope run. Nothing impressive. I guess geologically we can't have anything too impressive in this region...
Love the renovation. Always love skiing at liberty. They groom their slopes really well and everyone there is friendly.
First time snowboarding. Got the begginers package that came with lessons and honestly that was some of the most fun I've had in years. Absolutely recommend
Excellent first thing in the morning, after that crowds take over the frontside of the mountain and any hope of teaching a new skier or rider goes out the window. The backside of the mountain is well groomed most days and there is normally an average amount of people so riding is still possible without too many rubber neckers. I do wish their ski instructors understood everyone else also paid for a pass and their students as well as themselves need to ski within their skill level and not stop the whole group in the center of the runs. Parking can be crazy at times as there is little supervision out in the parking lots so often times parking becomes nearly impossible in the top lots. Seanson pass Holder 17/18/19
Overall the facility is clean and from the looks of the fast food, that seemed great also. We didn't purchase any food, but the setup looked like a great fast food joint that served fried chicken wings, sodas, etc.
We didn't have much interaction with staff, only until they spun those who wanted to be spun down the hill or pushed. The facility sells all gears needed for activities, but they seemed pricey. All in all, the day was good and although I am not fan of snow, I did have a whale of a time.
Great place to learn how to ski, conveniently located closest to the DC Metropolitan area.
Liberty mountain was great! The slopes for skiing were just perfect for my intermediate skill level and there weren't too many people. However, the cost of renting the skis and Boots cost my family over 300 dollars for one day of skiing. Overall, it was a great experience.
This place is amazing to spend some time with family or friends, the kids have a lot of fun in the slopes, we had a great view from our room, we had so fun time here.
