My son got married at this resort on Saturday, and is a wondergul place. We had open bar for wedding guest and our bar tender was amazing, he is a very nice guy. We enjoyed his service alot. I would definitely do another party at this resort again.

I spent two night with my family and we will for sure be returning to the hotel, the house keeping was very good the room was neat and clean. The pool was amazing my kids loved the pool! They spent the whole day in the pool. The view from my room was amazing, the music at night was also very good. The service was amazing too! The ballet parking people were very kind! The food was very good and fresh. It has very good customer service. We will for sure be coming back for our next trip!

V.I.P. entry, the club was very nice with an ocean view. Running into Fat Joe was cool. Many separate dancing areas with different DJ's playing different music. My family had a great time. Last club i went to before the COVID-19 Lock Down. I shall return.

Super nice building and friendly staff make it a worthwhile stay, even for this hurricane matthew evacuated family. Rooms were surprisingly spacious, and the included valet is a great vegas-style bonus.

This hotel and staff was amazing. So amazing we extended our stay we were supposed to go back to the Disney Dolphin hotel but changed our check in and we still paid for it and you know what we didn't mind because it was worth it! The staff especially Jose at check in went above and beyond the call of customer service. I own a business and he was one of the best concierge I have ever met. Todd at the bar was always friendly. The views are spectacular. We saw dolphins swimming right from our balcony. Nightly entertainment was a plus. By far one of the best hotels I have stayed at and we love to travel.

The GM is an absolute As*****!! The Shepards owners are dumb to hire such a moron to run their company. He's unprofessional and doesn't know how to handle people. My friends and I purchased a VIP section and were treated terribly by the GM. Won't be back.

Be ready for romantic time of your life. Shepherd's has one of the most beautiful nature Landscaping outside Tiki Bar Lounge. Words cannot express the Beautiful nature surroundings outside Shepherds Tiki Bar. Most people are unaware there are two night clubs back to back the other is called The Wave. Which is a high-class nightclub. Inside two-story building. The way was mainly inside Club with an outside area to enjoy Nature's Beauty. I live in Lakeland but willing to drive all the way to Clearwater for this enjoyment. Experience you won't forget.

One of my favorite Florida resorts. All the amenities of a five star resort. Ocean or pool view and if your chasing the Sun with a cocktail in hand this is the place. My first time vacationing in Florida. Clearwater is Beautiful

Decent Clearwater Resort with fun outdoor tiki bar with live music and great environment. The buffet restaurant is expensive but have good selection of seafood including crab legs and fresh oyster and tuna. Overall a good place to stay in Clearwater. Ohh and the sunsets are just spectacular.

They gave me issues trying to get my car from valet cause i couldnt find my ticket , i described everything that was in the car but still gave me issues, i was so upset. But they didnt care, if some had picked up my ticket they probably would've given my car to a stranger, the people were rude. And didnt want to listen. Would i stay again probably not.

Great night life, live music is awesome. Would have gave 5 stars but there was security guard that looked like MC Gusto from CB4 that was kinda harrasing us following us around.

Great place to stay, even better out door music venue. Tables are placed within the covid recommendations, and policies are strictly followed. But again for a night out with Great music its a must.

Nice place to hear live music and spend your weekend. Their menu is also good. You get chilled beer served at your place. If you love sun, cool breeze and beach then this is the place for you.

Arrived early. They were very accommodating to let us get our room early. The valet was great. They parked my Corvette right by the entrance. Thank you Valet attendants. All staff was very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is very clean and beds are comfortable. Pool area and pool, beautiful. Tiki bar with live entertainment on beach excellent. Large beach area. Kid friendly. Had a rental area to rent Wave-runners, kayaks, paddle boards and cabanas and more. Everything at your access right at this hotel. Beautiful Hotel with beautiful views. Walking distance to shops and other restaurants and main beach. But Shepard s has it all pretty much. Very happy and definitely will be back. Thank You Shepard s Beach Resort.

Great atmosphere, drinks and food. Paying for parking and entry was a much in the afternoon. We loved the floating mats. We ate at the tiki bar and the food was great.

Live bands, good drinks, directly on the beach but okay food

The guy bartending so stuck up on not getting a tip we left after 1 beer. Didn't want to put up with bartender anymore great time at dinner ruined by one guy will not go to Shepherd's again

Every single thing was overcooked and dry on the breakfast buffet a complete rip off and the chef came out and picked his nose in front of everyone

We rented a golf cart had a blast could drive several places checked our area for resturant and attractions. They had wonderful buffet with seafood and other meats very delicious and reasonable. Restaurant looks out on the water and saw beautiful sunset.
Highly recommend.

We went for the beach the service was not very good but good music and good atmosphere

I was sceptical about staying 2 nights at a "young hangout" , I am a 51 yr old man, and I had a blast! Bartender Cori has a gift of making all guests feel welcome! It was worth every dime! Thank you Cori, see you soon!

Pros:
Right on the beach... Literally!
They have a coffee shop, should you need more energy
Restaurant with brunch and daily meals offered
Proximity to strip
Parking and Party amenities included
Buffet selection was decent, not great
a) IF YOU PARTY... this is the spot! Their nightlife was pretty much all we saw on the beach.
b) If you're looking for a quiet hotel, I wouldn't stay here (ex...no infants). If your plan is to drink, lounge, and boo it up... Stay here!

Cons:
Customer Service was a bit off. Our rooms were not together even though we reserved them months ahead and asked for it. We did not get any comps but the rep did work to get us closer together. I also asked multiple times for lotion and didn't get it... Which was strange. I called the front desk and asked a rep in person... No go! I even volunteered a tip for it... None came. #momentruined (lol)
Buffet- There were no Non Pork options for breakfast meat. This will cost you about 14.95 a person.
Brunch- Price was a bit high at 39.95 and 10 extra for all you can eat Crab legs. I personally don't think the brunch is worth nearly 50 a person (my opinion). Some won't have an issue with these prices. I chose not to eat it.

Overall this really was a GREAT experience... I simply believe in honest interviews. I'd stay here again and we had fun dancing and lounging. Don't expect to sleep all day here... Music begins around 10am and goes til about 3am. Prepare to party and enjoy!

Where do I start... The first night there was a fight outside of our room which went on for over an hour. Our smoke alarm went off for close to an hour in our room at 2am, I had to call the desk two times and finally go down to get someone to come up. Our bathroom light bulbs burnt out, I called the front desk and gave them all day to replace but had to go back down to get the front desk to do anything. The on-site restraunt that is part of the resort is open to the public and was reservation only so we couldn t even eat there because we didn t call in a reservation early enough.... Mind you to the resort we are paying to stay at. The entire level we were staying on either smelled of cigarets or weed the entire time and hit you like a brick wall when walking from the elevator to our room. Honestly the entire thing was disappointing. I would recommend checking out another facility on the strip!

I loved , great atmosphere music,restaurants and beach

Me and my wife went to shephards tiki bar 7/6/2019,to celebrate our anniversary,paid 14$ to get in ordered 2 vok/ oj ,1 can beer,got the bill it was $ 32.27 ,looking at the bill it reflected I ordered 5 drinks,told the the waiter I'm not paying this ,that's outrageous $ 32 for 3 drinks he called security ,told them I only ordered 3 drinks the bill reflects 5 drinks they said we had to leave or they would call the police I told them dont worry I'm calling the Clearwater police now because your place is trying to rob me,the police came explained the issue ,showed the lady police officer the receipt ,then the manger told my wife they will eat the bill,we said fine / the police said okay then everything is good here and we left-my wife checked with the credit card Monday and shepherd's still charged her card for the drinks/ they did so even without a signed receipt, I called shepherd's asked how much their vok/ oj drinks were they said they are $6.15 plus tax,so 2 vok/ oj,$ 12.30,1 beer $ 5.25 ,tax $2.32 total is $ 19.87 not $ 32.27/ $ 12.40 difference,- the bill read in this order $ 5.00,$ 7.25 ,$ 5.oo,$ 7.25,tax $ 2.32 total$ 32.27 so if the vok/ oj is$ 6.15 where is that reflected on the bill / so it's more then obvious the bar cashier is over charging on that drink by $ 1.10 now comes the real slammer the table we were at the waiters girlfriend and friend were sitting also,so we ordered 3 drinks I guess the other 2 drinks he gave them on our bill - slick, the manager I spoke to said that waiter has been working there only 1 month,so when you go there check your bill ,most people that go out to party get all buzzed up ,it doesn't come to you to check the bill cause you figure everything is good / they come with the bill you just glance at it give them the credit card ,well this time I wasn't buzzed up yet and analyzed the bill ,good thing or they would have got us.the other thing is the manager said they were eating the bill ,then come to find out they charged us anyway ,- without a signed receipt, he said he never said that ,the police officer said that which we know a police officer can't tell a place - I decided they dont have to pay.they have no legal authority to do so.what is terrible me and my wife got married on this little piece of beach behind the shepherds restaurant that's why we go there on our anniversary, now they ruined that.it only takes some bad apples/ & greed to ruin something really nice/ memorable moment.

When we arrived to check-in the clerk wasn't friendly and acted like we should know things we asked about. For instance she gave us wristbands and wanted us to put them on right then. She told us that we needed to wear them to get into everything. I wasn't expecting to have to wear a plastic theme park type band the entire time I was there. So when I asked for clarification she said we'd need to wear them so we didn't have a cover charge and could go to the pool and walk between the pool and the beach and so forth. She responded in an irritated way with an attitude of "I can't believe I'm having to exain this to you. Are you stupid?" At the point she asked if it was our first time staying there.

The hallway from the elevator to our room had a strong musty smell of mold and mildew. Our bathroom and shower had the same smell mixed with the smell of bleach. The tap water smelled like sulpher and had a strong mineral taste. Rinsing my mouth with the tap water after brushing my teeth left a disgusting taste in my mouth.

They have water bottles in the room for $4.50 per bottle. If you go to the gas station across the street you can get a much better deal. The water at the restaurant has the same issue so I recommend buying a bunch of water bottles.

The maid had left a partial bottle of milk in the mini fridge which I'd guess was from the previous occupant. That combined with the smell of the bathroom didn't give a good impression on the cleanliness of the room. Although the rest looked good.

The room was decorated in fun bright colors and there were plenty of body towels, cloths and hand towels. I wish there was brighter lighting in the room. The glass sliding door and room door don't keep much noise out. We heard lots of engines revving, honking, squealing tires and some normal driving late into the night and first thing in the morning.

Our first night was on Sunday, May 5th so I'm not sure if Cinco de Mayo created an increase in traffic but it was loud and there was lots of partying going on. When I booked our stay I didn't realize they had a night club on the resort. Even though we were on the opposite corner of the resort we could still hear the bass pounding for hours into the night. Monday night was more quiet but still noisy because the doors don't keep the sound out well.

I reviewed the restaurant separately. I don't recommend it.

The one thing I really liked was the pool and it's proximity to the beach. That is the main reason I booked our stay there. The pool didn't seem heated but after a minute in the water it was refreshing. The beach has soft sand and lots of shells. Most of the shells were broken but it was still fun to see the different colors and types of shells. I would recommend wearing water shoes if you plan to wade as the shells are quite sharp.

They have an outdoor vendor renting beach chairs and an umbrella but it was $25 per day and I wish they'd had an hourly rate. Maybe I had that wrong and that was the hourly rate. It just seemed expensive. They also rent jet skis, but it would have been nice if there weren't so many in the water. There wasn't lots of room to swim because of how many jet skis there were in each cove. In addition the bouys were close to shore and I was hesitant to swim past them because of the jet skis.

The ocean doesn't have clear water as the name of the beach and city imply but it was still fun to wade. The little rocked in coves kept the waves small and that was nice. There were fish of various sizes up to about 1 foot long swimming in the coves and it was fun to watch them as I was wading in the first few feet of the ocean. The hotel next door had a live Caribbean band playing and it really added to the atmosphere.

The pool staff was very helpful, attentive and friendly. The frozen non-alcoholic drink I ordered was delicious! There were plenty of towels available and lounge chairs by the pool were complimentary.

Over all I don't plan to go back and I wouldn't recommend this location.

Fun dancing location. The bands are hit or miss, but the DJs always do a good job.

I had the pleasure of staying at Shepard's in April 2016. All the staff was excellent & friendly. The rooms were very clean.. I am looking forward to returning in April..

Great location at Clearwater Beach, FL. Great views of Gulf of Mexico ! Resturant, Beach Shops, Entertainment, best party spot on the Beach !

It's fun if you're looking for the club scene on the beach. Drinks are expensive and there is usually a cover charge on the weekends.

Very disappointed we woke up to ROACHES in our bathroom and when I address this issue when checking off I was told they would comp the room. I check my bill when I got home only to find a 20 dollars was taken off. I have pictures as well as videos.. I spoke with Cody she was very disrespectful and defensive about this issue. And know help. I call the next morning to address this issue and and was told there short handed in management someone will call me back.

The bartenders were friendly and fair, which is rare sometimes at a popular outdoor bar. The music was good - there was a live band. During the break the band members hung out and had drinks with everyone. It was a good time. I will definitely be back!

Don't believe the hype. Spend your money elsewhere. Be prepared for the overwhelming smell.of urine as you walk down the hall.. Over rated and over priced for what they offer. The only good thing about this place is the ocean view.

Went to see a band and couple singers. Definitely a cool bar, it's on the beach and sound system is good. Mixed drinks are pretty weak though unfortunately.

Went for the Sunday brunch. Never was told about the Mimosas being part of the brunch. If we would have known this we would not have ordered the bloody Mary's. Waitress was not attentive and waited for our check for about 1/2 hour and ended up having to pay for our parking

This is the place to be for entertainment!! Live music everyday from like 2 pmtil 3 am. Got clubs, DJ's on outside bar at night! And our room was beautiful facing the gulf

Interactive Buffett. Joke it is just a Buffett. And a very bad one at that. 20,000 sq ft more like 2000. This was a complete waste of money and time. I wouldn't recommend this tourist trap to anyone.

On a Friday night, you should have a decent waitress abd cook. She was rude and the fish dinner was sosked wuth

Always a good time when I'm down here. Everything is spot on. From the service to the drinks to the food to the, well you get it. I'll be back next year for sure!

The hotel was very nice and the pool was great, however do not come to this resort if you are not 21 and up, especially if you have kids. I was up till 3am every night due to loud music blaring from the night club below us and got literally no sleep. The music was so loud that I would literally shake the bedroom I was in.

Thong clad women, shirtless dudes, and a lot of alcohol what more could you want. There is no chill here it's a party even on Sundays.

Mixed crowd, cover charge but bands are always top notch. Drinks are expensive, but worth it, waiters are so much fun!!! Must go place!!
