Great hotel. Amazing restaurant. Best buffet. By far the best in Clearwater.

Just went for the club. It was a nice place. Had a special dj event, which was good. Nice outside party area too. Probably would be loud for those staying at the resort but fun for me as a guest.

I good place if you want to party, drink, and dance it up. The pool is not heated, which we were told at check-in that it was. Our bartender at the the tequila bar was AWESOME! Michael was definitely the best part of our trip. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about tequila, and makes the best mixed drinks.

I Left a pair of shoes in the hotel room. I have been calling and got three different answers on how to go about retrieving my things. The restaurant service sucks for as much as you pay. I have been four times and each time the service gets worse.

Stopped for an afternoon drink. Great gulf views and entertainment.

I liked the place, if you are Latino and you plan to visit this place, take your passport and visa with you, we were talking for 20 minutes to allow me access with only my visa

The seafood is it if this world! Oysters, crab legs, Sushi, clam chowder and some of the best desserts I've ever tasted in my life.

Assistant front office manager, Nicholas Cardillo offered great Customer service I went from having a bad night turned into a enjoyable memory, the entire family had a blast!

As being a local and coming here I've seen Shephards expand into a great environment. The bar staff and wait staff is excellent and personable as well as the security staff.I will keep coming back because of the friendly atmosphere the employees create.

Great bar and atmosphere... Geared to folks that want to have fun. . Break away from everyday and unwind here...

Excellent seafood buffet. Too many choices for delicious desserts. Prepare to leave stuffed. It has a hip bar next to the dining area. Go, you'll enjoy.

Had a great time here! It was during the off season so we got hooked up with a sweet room with a huge balcony over looking the pool/bar area and the water. Now, because we were young and partying all weekend...this was awesome for us! Anyone not looking to party all night would not enjoy this room...as the music is very loud until 3am on the weekends. I suggest a room on the other side facing the street... (although not an awesome view)! The room was nicely updated and for the most part clean...(there were some leftover streamer taped to the curtain rod) but everything else seemed a ok! The staff was very pleasant and helpful with whatever we needed. I will definitely go back when I'm looking to let loose and whoop it up! As for families with young children or peaceful vacationers...probably not the best choice for you!

Rooms were beautiful, the views were amazing. The bar area food was delicious. Live entertainment was great. Wedding coordinator was very professional and ceremony y was great.

Great food at the buffet in shepard's. A lot of variety and everything was exquisite.

Great location; halfway between the action/focal point of Clearwater Beach and Sand Key Beach & shops. Great renovated dining area but I was disappointed in the buffet. It is adequate but the food selections could have been better. I did enjoy & appreciate the variety of desserts. It is great to g Ave small desserts as one can always go back for more.

He absolutely horrible service.. Would never be a guest here again.. James the manager absolutely unprofessional no manager experience. No clue how to treat a guest. Extremely rude. Checked out early .. five days early.. NOT GUEST FRIENDLY!!

If you don't like really really loud music until 2:00 in the morning every day...then stay away. Other than that.. Rooms were nice, food was fair but not great.

For starters, I'm a server, service here is beyond terrible. My party of five Sat down and we got greeted 30 minutes later, after talking to the staff twice. Don't waste Your Time Going Across The Causeway. Just go to hogan's beach

Modern hotel, small clean standard room. Live music outside from 2-2, so be aware and ready to party.

A group of us girls went to the ocean buffet to celebrate my sisters bachelorette. Food was good, chefs behind the buffet could have been a little nicer but it's ok. What really did it for us was our waiter Steve. He went above and beyond to make sure he made my sisters night a little bit more special. From a nice dessert plate to some complimentary club passes. Thank you Steve, I hope your management team sees this.

Fun atmosphere, good drinks and polite and friendly waitstaff. Didn't love that there was a cover to get in.

The pool and private beaches were AWESOME! Bartenders and severs were great too had a few issues with the room we stayed in. Toilet kept running. But it was great

The place has been remodeled completely! A stage with live music, outdoor bars, a beautiful pool and plenty of lounge chairs for the beach.

This place is a must when visiting Clearwater Beach. A large stage for bands or DJs, and a great view over the water as the ships pass by. And don't mess with parking, just take the beach shuttle.

We've stayed here a few times and everytime it was a great pleasant stay, rooms were nice, clean and comfy. Room service was excellent a lil expensive for the food, but that what you get when you want the convenience, makes it super easy esp when you have your family with a 2yr old. Would recommend this place to friends.

Food delicious and portions very large if you do not eat a lot you could share and still get full

There crab buffet was everything you could ask for, with good entrees and sides, but really lacked in the dessert section. Had many options, but nothing tasted up to par.

Shephard's is always a good time. Its right on the beach. There are a couple outdoor bars, plus a fine dining restaurant and you can order really great food at the outdoor tiki bar. We were outside. There is a mixed crowd, all ages. The music is great. On Sunday nights they bring in a DJ and have lazer lights and fog machines. Tons of ppl dancing. Great way to end the weekend!

So , this is not my real name for personal reasons I don't want to use my real name but this is a real review. I am in room 310, and it smells like mildew. Also, i was told there is a partial ocean view, yea if you can see between the palm trees. I mean you see a building next door and a bunch of trees. Also, the bed is very unstable. Anytype of movement, and it feels like its going to fall apart. Honestly, for $200 with tax, i could have stayed at the fairfield inn with a more upgraded room that smells better and a king bed, not queen. I will contine to travel and hang out by the beach behind this place , but disappointed in the room.

on may 17, I did DJ for a wedding there. Most venue appearances on the beach are the same, what made this incredible was the staff. But positive energy they bring to an event for the other vendors and I'm sure the bride will feel the same way. They are very cooperative and actually listen to what you have to say and help make weddings awesome

Beds are very comfortable, very youth oriented resort although be aware they will tell you pricing is a little lower than actual we confirmed everything with the resort prior to arrival put the deposit down and for a room for 4 people each paid approximately $30 more per person. The night life at the resort is probably the wildest of all Clearwater great music bar prices are a little high however there is a happy our until 7 with $2.50 drinks

It's a fun place. The entertainment tends to be very upbeat; usually DJ's playing a combination of techno and house music. The crowd will vary. Because it's on Clearwater Beach, a major tourist attraction itself, you'll find people from all over as well as the local crowd. It has the advantage of being right on the water. Plus, there's plenty of space and seating so you never feel all boxed in.

Horrible place because they won t let us in because we re dance at our table. We are staying here and they would still won t let us in

The rooms where nice. But I get but don't understand the dress code. Basically if you know oh well the people working your good. But if you don't and they think your pants is not swimming shirts they will deny you even tho they are swimming shorts. Who where sweats shorts outside

Although I would like to parade about the amenities of this resort, I would NOT be coming back to Shepards. The resort is infested with creepy crawlers (see photos). There were so many, we began to collect them on a plate for evidence. They came out in droves within the first hour of our stay. We immediately contacted the front desk for another room. Due to no availability, they insisted to spray the room and reduce our final cost. All in all, the bug spray did nothing to keep the crawlers away.
The amenities were nice in which there was a live band every night of our stay.
Smoking is permitted anywhere on the property, which isn t fair to kids (and non smokers) who have to endure second hand smoke. The resort should look into a secluded smokers section (or room) to accommodate smokers and also keep the air clean.
Not sure what the resort fee covers because you have to pay for chairs, umbrellas and all water sports. You can go to Jamaica and enjoy all of those luxuries as part of your stay.
Last, do not waste your hard earned money on any of the buffets. Go to a local restaurant and spend the same amount of money on pancakes, eggs, etc and enjoy your food!

My friends wedding was here. Very well taken cate of. Tbe staff is amazing. If your by the pool ask for Tiffany. She is the bees knees!

I have been to Shepard,s resort many times for the last 24 years .My friends and I have seen this place grow over the years from a 2 level resort to what it is today. Music is good ,food, and drinks are good.Happy Hours are great there also. Will be there next week to celebrate 25th year in a row to hang out at Shepard,s Beach Resort.

I went to the resort for their Sunday EDM show, which was incredible. My complaint is that they don't have a clear dress code posted. I was denied entry for over an hour for wearing pants with no help as to where to find shorts and had to spend 50$ for a pair of shorts. They also denied entry to some for wearing swim trunks but tons of people were inside wearing swim trunks

Nice hotel and the bar was so much fun with a live band..front desk agents were friendly but the last day I was there I was greeted by the biggest cockroach I ever seen, freaked me out I screamed so loud! It was near the coffee maker by the fridge in my room. So disgusting. I question everything I ate and slept on now during the whole trip. So grossed out. Won't be back.

DJ RAY.. is the worst DJ ever. U can predict every song he will play and he doesnt care anymore so he plays a scan disk and doesnt dj anymore EVER.
Buffet is good but is overpriced without included snow crab.
Bot enought security for the number of people.
They fired all the good bartenders.
They used 2 bring in great celeb musicians for major events, labor day, memorial day and 4th of July.
If the stars align, its awesome... but lately.... Horrible!!!
I hope some managers read this and make a change!!!!!!

I'm not sure I like the "improvements" made to this place. A cover charge does not make a place better. The service was very good, but it might just not be for me. If you're looking for an outdoor club on the beach, then this is definitely the place!

I ve been to Shepherds before and have an all around good time when I come, however I will say this; in the past, the pool/Tiki staff (mainly waitresses) provided sub par service. Sometimes they re very nasty and rude which can bog down my experience. I understand it s hard working out in the sun all day but having a bad attitude with customers is unacceptable. This time, there were new staff members that were extremely friendly and professional. If this is the direction shepherds is going in, I m all for it! Clean house and hire nice, professional staff who actually want to be there!

Beautiful Beach Views, Great Food, with a Really Fun Atmosphere all around if you enjoy music and people having fun!!

Amazing place to be! Would highly recommend. The room is beautiful and great entertainment. We also loved the private beach.

Place is fun, for sure. Just don't eat there unless you want 3 chicken fingers for $13 or 2 grouper fingers for $15.

Good location, comfortable rooms, good staff attention. Very loud, loud music all day that makes it difficult to rest on the beach or pool

Clean, modern, nice pool and actually on the beech as accurately described on Trip adviser. On TripAdvisor it has beach with an umbrella icon, as with most things these are not free and owned by a third party ($20 as of 2017). Very relaxed experience compared to our stay in Orlando but that's going to be another review.

Nice place on the beach. Kind of gimmicky for tourists but still an alright place.

Very nice place and nice staff, but not enough variety with DJs. Went during Memorial Day weekend, they had 4 or 5 different DJs who all played techno or house music. We were bored after a couple hours. Also went to the buffet on a weekday during a slow time, and spoiled shrimp were mixed in with the fresh shrimp. Ended up sick from the few I did eat. Food was good but maybe go when there's more kitchen staff on duty to man the buffett.

The food is always fantastic. And the Chefs do a beautiful job! We sat on the porch and saw dolphins while we ate!

Expensive! With free valet parking unlimited buffets of deserts, steaks, seafood. You name it they serve it. Lovely seafront outdoor/indoor eating. Did I mention, expensive? $45. per person before alcoholic beverages. Go starving.

This resort is not kid friendly. Upon arrival there was pounding loud music and inebriated adults. There is one small pool which is visible from the lobby. The pool was full of adults when we arrived. The private beach is extremely small and is overflowing with jetskis and boats that come up to party. The beach was accessible by walking thru the party so I was not able to take my kids to the beach or pool when we arrived. The hotel room was great but we had to be moved from our original room due to noise. Room had great air conditioning, a huge shower, and a comfortable bed

Went to the tiki bar one night late and the place was still open and it was a great find!! Bartender was friendly, the vibe was awesome, they have a stage with a band, they have a huge LED screen playing music videos when the band is not performing. Music selection was great, private access to a small beach to have drinks. Prices were reasonable for a vacation destination. Will definitely be back to this place when in Clearwater Beach again!!
