Amazing hotel to stay service is exceptional especially restaurant staff. All the staff are very attentive inc. The lifeguards on the private beach with views of the grand mosque so much to do....it has its own souk and a mini boat to transport you. Worth a visit and stay for the full Shangri La experience.....

Worth every penny. Great during the cooler months and brilliant views of the Grand mosque by the infinity pool.

5 star top notch service. was pampered from the minute i checked in until i completed my 2-night stay. i sure hope management knows that one of their massive assets is their efficient staff. see you in the not so distant future Shangri-la Qaryat al Beri.

The only "but" to my stay was the bad smell in the corridor of the second floor (I was in room 250).

The lounge is on the seventh floor - the young man is at the top of taste, the place is comfortable and the view is beautiful

For some reason there was a bad smell in the toilet and the balcony was dusty, otherwise all was well

recently stayed at the Shangri-La for one night . I had my breakfast in Sofra BLD. Overall the experience was excellent . The service was amazing . The staff members who stood out were Lijo , Maniyar , Susila and Pooch and The staff very attentive and friendly.
The food was fresh and I thought well presented. I always left the restaurant satisfied.

A nice hotel with luxurious ambiance and great view of the sea and the grand mosque, connected to The Souk at Qaryat Al Beri through an Abra water taxi via a man-made canal or just a walking distance to The Souk if you prefer to walk than ride the abra. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Our stay in the hotel very badly started as we have been very poorly welcomed and my son nearly injured by a driver, then I encounter issues at the registration with my credit card and finally our minibar was to be removed; but I should say that after speaking with the duty manager, I forgot all these bad points and our family truly enjoyed the stay. The manager reacted very professionnally and very fast to our enquiries to give us 100% satisfaction, we have been pampered like kings and finally get the service we expected from such kind of hotels. A big thank you to all the team and specially to Mrs Priscila.

From the booking experience with your reservations team until the check-out, I cannot fault it.

Really enjoyed our stay here during the Eid break. Room was spacious and the upgrade to the ground floor room was amazing. Easy access to beach and pool is just what I needed.
Everyone is observing social distancing & hygienic measure. The room was really clean and was sanitized.
Breakfast selection was super!
Will definitely come back here for another staycation.

The hotel is very sophisticated, quiet and dangerous and the service is 100/100

Fantastic stay. From the minute you checked in. Malek did a great job looking after our room everyday. Spotlessly clean. The pool area was very relaxing with great service from ruwan, rajip and Marvin. Vinny did a great job arranging beds and making sure we had water. In the evening horizon club staff looked after us Deirdre and gezel were great. We are in the Vietnamese one night but found Shang palace much nicer. Susan provided great service there. On the bar Bernie byju and pradish also offered great service. Looking forward to my return trip!!!

For a 5* resort, I didn't expect such bad service from the staff. Disappointed, which is a shame as the hotel itself is beautiful - but the team there just don't want to make your stay special.

I have stayed at both the Ritz and Shangri-la in Abu Dhabi and really prefer the Shangri-la. I think the rooms, atmosphere and common areas are much nicer here. Also, it it connected to souk-like mall with more restaurants to choose from.

Breathtaking suite, great breakfast buffet at Sofra, amazing hotel design overall as well as fabulous service at the pool and throughout the hotel (loved receiving dates and coffee every time we entered the lobby). Only issue is that not every employee knew what we were supposed to receive complimentary due to our suite. For example, we initially got charged for transportation from airport to the hotel (got removed after we noticed it on the bill) and we needed some discussions to receive our complimentary morning tea without charge. Certainly these little issues will not keep us from returning to this amazing hotel though.

Check-in and welcome very 5 star. The room was large and comfortable however the breakfast was definitely not up to Shangri-la standards, especially since I've stayed a few years back.

The hotel seems a bit understaffed or insufficiently trained. The service in the restaurant (Sofra) was particularly slow. There was no service on the beach unless I went to the lifeguard who then had to find a waiter. Generally speaking the staff are helpful but there seems to be a problem in either their management or there are not enough of them at the hotel.

One of the most luxurious hotels in Abu Dhabi and Sofra restaurant is an excellent restaurant, especially for lunch on Friday

Everything is excellent except the air conditioner lacks the payment and the cold is not cool

Instead of Grand Mosque view presented in the pictures, there is a big, very loud construction site covering it. It's hard to hear your own thoughts, not mentioning relaxing.

This was the best hotel in middle East 2016 and it is absolutely worth it.

Awesome. No other words suffice. One cannot begin to understand a Shangri La stay unless you have done one. They cater to your every whim and no request is too ridiculous at the Shangri La.

Luxurious 5 star hotel with channal beach connected to various shops, coffeeies, and restaurants

Hotel with a great location in Abu Dhabi, within walking distance there is a shopping center (souk) where you can find cafes, restaurants and a small supermarket. The view of the mosque is spectacular and the common areas are very elegant. The staff is courteous and helpful. There would be something to improve, unfortunately both pools have no tiles in some places and for a hotel of this level it should not happen. Another thing I found was the absence of the espresso machine in my room and I tried to request it but they told me that it is only provided in the suites, while in other hotels of the same category it is always present even in the basic rooms. Nice gym but I didn't find any herbal tea or infusion in the Spa. However briefly a Hotel that I recommend.

Thanks to your excellent Guest Relations Supervisor Polina Merdinova, who made notes about my needs in anticipation of my visit, this worked brilliantly and I felt at home from the get go.

Our second stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in AD. Absolutely loved it! I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the globe, this is one of the best.

I cannot fault one thing on this hotel, from the beginning of our experience to the very end it was just perfect. We will be back again for a third time.

Just want to say thank you to all the staff, they work extremely hard and deserve recognition and praise for everything they did to make our stay enjoyable.

The friegh was not working , TV wasnt working above all this my room locked although activated by receptionist ...nobody bothered from receiption that if we are fine with our bedroom or no

Poor service which let whole experience down in the restaurants.

I do not know I'm Mexican a friend is in your hotel but I see by photos of the their hotels are another level congratulations a dream to sleep in their rooms

The room was comfortable and bathroom was well equipped.
Few issues:
Ac wasnt working properly. Both rooms has complains about sweat leading sleep to break.
Additional bed in premiere room was uncomfortable. Could feel the springs hence not a good quality one.
Have a complete channel list for kids to choose from specially in summer when they need to be indoors for the hot hours.
Breakfast buffet was not up to mark. Very less options specially in breads.. many items looked like they were recycled from dinner.

The hotel was experienced
As a visit, stroll in the market of Qaryat Al Beri and wander around the sides of the hotel

The feeling of luxury in the reception is very special

We will visit the hotel and try to live in it soon, God willing

Honestly, not a single fault with this hotel during my stay. Felt very welcome. All staff greet guests no matter where in the hotel and are always friendly and give you the warmest smiles.

I want to specially point out a small yet exceptional customer experience i had thanks to Miss Azraa, the lady who helped me check in. She was really lovely, made sure to escort me to my room when i went back to her (i think there was a glitch with the card she had given me); and even though It wasn't a bother to walk the few steps back to the front desk from the lifts, she felt the need to walk me all the way to my room which just showed the level of commitment your hotel has to providing customers the best experience - bravo to her for that! To me that set the tone for my stay there which was impeccable!

Very happy, your hotel is indeed nothing short of a 5 star! I look forward to returning - this time with my family :)

I very much enjoyed my stay at Shangri-La.
The staff was very attentive and kind, definitely something that made my stay unforgettable. Durga and Agung made me feel especially well looked after at the breakfast table.

Our room was fabulous and in perfect condition when we arrived. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, as is the pool area which we really enjoyed. 10/10 would come back.

My stay was fantastic! The only complaint I would have is that the pool closed too early , by the time you go out to do excursions or see anything in the area there is no pool time when you get back. The bar staff was very slow at night . Other than that everything was great! Staff was always helpful and smiling and the hotel was so clean I was very pleased
