It felt like being transported back to the 17th century London! Despite buying a standing ticket and standing on one of the last rows, the view of the show was good. For only 5 pounds is a must when visiting London. Advance booking is recommended

Designer behind victorian play theater, usually hosts an array of different plays everyday.
Highlight about this place is that apart from your regular seats, you can stand on ground and watch any play too, which will cost you only 5 Pounds. That may hurt to stand for the duration of the play as plays are at times 2 hours long, but great to watch any play for cheap. This tradition of standing is going on for past 200 years too.

I must admit, it was amazing to stand in this theatre after many years of reading Shakespeare s plays. I am truly impressed with the beauty and effort put forth to bring literary history to life. Our guide Llyr was phenomenal: funny & witty. Anyone who enjoys Shakespearean humor will want to ask for a guided tour from him.

This historic venue is a must visit! The venue is very beautiful and cozy with an open standing area in the front that puts the audience in a close proximity with the performers. For those who prefer being seated, the covered galleries have wooden seats that are quite comfortable. The play itself is high quality. The performers are very talented and keep the audience engaged. It s helpful to know a little about the storyline of the play as it helps one ramp up (to the play) quickly. Outside food and drinks are allowed. So go grab your favorite ale and fish &chips from the bars nearby and experience the English culture at the Globe!

Oh where do I start! This is the loveliest Shakespeare theatre in the world! Well it's also the replica of the original rose theatre. I have bought groundling tickets to innumerable shows here - each more njoyable than the other. Whether you live in London or visiting - this is a must visit for as many shows as your schedule can allow and more!

The Globe never disappoints. Visited yesterday to see Othello, which was a superb production. Thanks to all cast and all involved for their passion and energy, especially in this heatwave. Had a terrific time. One tip for the volunteer who squeezed and grabbed my shoulder to ensure my plastic drink glass was in a safe place: no need to squeeze so hard, just a gentle whisper in the ear to alert is sufficient....but thanks to all for a great time. Hope to visit again soon...

Great theater and style added to the experience. However it is outside, so if weather is bad don't quite know how it would would. Seating is painful as in is wooden benches with no back support.

We had a delicious afternoon tea here. Took in to consideration all dietry requirements. And the scones were so fresh they were still warm. Decent price and the super friendly staff were on hand for anything we needed.

We had a small workshop. I actually come from Germany and I think my English is okay and the Globe Theatre Employee spoke English which you could understand very good. She spoke slowly and clearly, so we understanded everything. The games which we played where also fun. All in all the five Stars are really well deserved.

Fascinating tour talk, and we even had a chance to see performers practicing for Othello (two Academy Award winners in the cast--hello!). Only regret is not having a chance to see a full performance.

The building itself is wonderful and being there at midnight to see A Midsummer Night's Dream was really special, or so I'd hoped; but unfortunately the production itself was diabolical. Despite having driven from Birmingham and paid for the best seats in the house we struggled to suffer it until the interval when we were so glad to leave. It was such a shame because when I booked the tickets I did ask if it was going to be a traditional production.... so the references to Love Island and Britain's Got Talent in the script together with 'costumes' of gym wear & Nike trainers were not what I was expecting, in fact they were the very vacuous things I do my best to avoid.

The amazing Shakespeare's theater downtown London built identiquely than to the original one which burnt in the big fire of the city. It's the project of passionate about theater who work thanks to private donations, especially with the 1 pound bracelet's sale. The shop is afordable and the place is incredible : guides are actors so the visit is exceptionnal. All English spoken but very expressive so easy to understand ; our guide looks like Jim Carrey ! A must-see place.
