Great venue with friendly staff and a playful, modern take on classic literature. The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is adorable. I have also enjoyed taking my students there thanks to Deutsche Bank. Super that there are performances on sundays too!

Very interesting place, when you know the history of this Shakespeare Globe theatre. It's an Elizabethan playhouse associated with William Shakespeare, in the London borough of Southwark, located on the south bank of the River Thames.

The actors are great at projecting, which is particularly useful when helicopters start buzzing the open roof theater. Next time I would go as a groundling (standing room, as the backless benches aren't very comfortable.

A very good Macbeth production, however sitting on the first level in the second row was pretty uncomfortable. I was pretty cramped, and my back was arched throughout the whole play. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was amazing and the building is beautiful

Built as close as to the original as possible, the Globe brings some of the most fantastic Shakespearean experiences any literature and drama fanatic can find. Reserving a seat and a cushion is most advisable, otherwise you'll be standing for three hour long plays.

Shakespeare would have been proud to see a performance at the globe. Always a good production in the traditional sense and also modern works played out. Amazingly low prices for what you get. A must for everyone.

Reconstruction of the Shakespeare theater done very well but I did not like the guided tour, they explain how the theater was structured and all the events that took place inside it.

Excellent... beautiful building celebrating a global icon, nevermind a British one...but why did it take an American to lead the campaign in rebuilding it?
Run around a track a few times fast or kick a ball about and we will make you a Dame/Lord/Sir or whatever you want. Rebuild the Globe and you are just a nice bloke. Oh well.....rant over....sorry about that.

Amazing experience! Had gone to see R&J, very much with a modern twist. The standing area is open and we were completely wet from the rain.. So always carry your rain coat.. staff here are great, venue is clean and also has some quick bites

The performance of King Leer was great. Sensational acting, but the seating. My goodness! It couldn't have been less comfortable. I wasn't expecting armchairs but I was sat on a thin wooden bench for 3.5 HOURS with no back support and little legroom. I'd have much preferred to have been standing. I appreciate that they're going for authenticity but I feel we probably don't need perfect authenticity. I wouldn't expect a bout of cholera either...

I had so many great evenings at the Globe. Fantastic plays. Tourists should watch at least 1 Play at the Globe. It was awesome. Our group had an acting session with one of the Globe actors as well. I wish I could turn back time. I was fun. :)

A modern recreation of the old "Globe". Narrow wooden benches; not comfortable, but I loved it anyway. And, the resident troupe does the BEST presentation of Shakespeare I've seen anywhere!

Our tour guide was very engaging. Interesting tour. I think the guides should take into consideration that the groups are surely not all native speakers. Also the Globe was very hard to find from London Bridge: no signposts whatsoever!!! The Globe itself was also confusing when you arrived. In an emergency it would be very unclear where you are supposed to go. Not sure this visit was worth the price.

Stunning venue both for seeing shows and for learning about Shakespeare himself and the history of theater within London. This is often very very busy, it is a tourist hot spot, so choose you times carefully and also keep an eye out for school tours *leaving* that s often the best time to get the place to yourself.

The inside of the actual globe is amazing amd the tour guide that showed us around was very interactive and funny. The detail work of the actual inside was amazing to learn about. I highly suggest to do the tour since you will not be able to entire the globe unless you are going to watch a play in there.

Such a history place with amazing views of the Thames, and directly across the Millennium Bridge from St. Paul's Cathedral. We watched a play here and it was amazing! The exhibition is fun and educational, but the play was fantastic and gives you a real feeling of what things were like in Shakespeare's day, with very good acting.
