What a unique experience to see the rebuilt theate...
What a unique experience to see the rebuilt theater where the brilliant man once directed and whose plays I acted out as a child and later studied.

It is a magnificent place where history meets culture
Amazing experience, the tour around the globe was great.
Saw Midsummer Night's Dream and haven't laughed that hard in a long while.
The old Shakespeare's theater, nice. And quite close to London's bridge, tower of London, a war ship and borough market.
Love the theater, left current production of Midsummer Night's Dream at the interval. Worst production of a Shakespeare play I've seen in some time. Should have gone to the Bridge Dream.
Saw an amaze performance of Othello here breathed new life into an old play with amazing stage direction
No theatre-lover can resist a visit. Don't worry too much about the many seats with views obstructed by the wooden columns. They won't spoil your visit, not by a long chalk.
Fantastic production that the rain and standing could not spoil !
We attended a 7.30 showing of As You Like It (in early September) and enjoyed it quite a bit.
For those wondering, our seats were in the middle on the second floor (~ 55 per person) and had an amazing view. We were in the third row which meant that it wasn't too cold with two rows of people in front of us blocking the wind.
Cushions are a MUST 3 and worth every bit.
The shop did close before the end of the show though; so if you have plans to buy anything do so before the play starts.
What to say. If you love Bardo and understand English, a show is absolutely worth it. However, it is an interesting visit. If possible, visit the interior of the theater. It is very impressive. There is also a shop with everything on Shakespeare.
Had an amazing time. We did a workshop before the show. Recommend both.
Beautiful, cold and thrilling. I saw Twelfth Night here most recently with La Gateaux Chocolat and it was spellbinding. Like actually made me wonder around all loved-up and silly for a bit. They re doing stuff that isn t just posh and crusty and it s really working.
It's a nice pub, buti thought it might be a little more related to Shakespeare to be honest. However the wine was delicious!!
You can feel the history of the place in every single inch of it!
The cult of Shakespeare. Unfortunately, we didn t get inside, we arrived quite late, only we had time to see the souvenirs ... We ll be back another time!
A theater scene with the wind from the River Thames
Great theatre experience. We saw Much Ado About Nothing set in Mexico
Guided tour very interesting from the cultural, historical and architectural point of view. Beautiful exhibition.
The guided tour was very informative and entertaining
Because this is built to be the same as the original the seating is not very comfortable but it has a great atmosphere
A wonderfully authentic experience. Sitting on the covered wooden benches, i could see and hear everything clearly, although I was grateful for the cushion that I hired. The weather was perfect, which helped greatly.
You don't need a ticket to enter the shop. There are some great bargains to be had and really different souveniers.
Amazing experience. Language was difficult for non native English speakers but caption were very helpful.
Neat place, book well in advance. Two weeks seem to be booked already.
Can't be beaten! Amazing theatre in such iconic location where the genius of Shakespeare started and still is playing to the day!
A great place to see the Bard's work, particularly on a balmy summer's evening. Beware the unforgiving wooden bench seats though and take advantage of the cushion hire facility.
Love. It is an unmissable place for any fan of the theater and not to mention Shakespeare. The guided tour is highly recommended and the exhibition inside the theater too. Unfortunately there are no plays to see all year round in the "classic" theater but a few years ago they also opened the other room "Sam Wannamaker playhouse" where a variety of plays are presented. The employees are super cordial and it is impossible not to stop by the store for some alluring souvenir.
When they do the traditional plays it's fantastic. Watch out for the modern adaptations that are hit and miss, though.
Superb historical location to view shows. Has a very personal feel, close to the stage/actors. The playhouse shows in evening are candlelit and truly beautiful. Can't go enough!
Quiet place for any kind of meetings in Central London.
Went to see Midsummer Night's Dream and it was hilarious. The cast was great, the characters energetic and lively, and the audience interaction was fantastic. The play was modernised, but still in keeping with the original language and feel. Would recommend this as an evening out whether or not you like Shakespeare. 10/10
I love this theater. Always visit this place when I'm in London. The performances are always awesome and the people are nice.
Nice place to have a sweet & short cultural immersion. The tour takes 30 Minutes, however it is worth enough, please bring cash to tip the guide guy, they are not paid for the museum
Great experience. The tour guide was very knowledge. Really enjoyed this.
Nice place to see a bit of Shakespeare. Open to the night sky, so it can be a bit cool in winter (better than too hot, though the occasional plane overhead can be distracting). Some seats have slightly obstructed views, but generally you will have a good view of most the stage.
Worth checking out
We went to the restaurant for "tea" which actually was a delicious meal. The service was OUTSTANDING and the venue was beautiful.
Went there with the family - teenagers too - and we had great time. The tour was fantastic and the guide was funny, smart and full with stories. Take into account one hour in the museum and another hour and a half for the tour itself. You'll get a view into the 17th / 18th century life style - habits, customs, upper lower class relationship, etc. If our teenagers have enjoyed then surely most people would do too.
Such an inspiring venue. Glad to have been involved in its construction.
Very good well maintained national heritage theatre
Such an amazing experience! Been to 3 shows and loved every performance (taming of the screw my favourite!).
The site is nice, but I did not like anything that does not have audioguide to understand the history of this theater, I would have liked to have the Spanish language and there is not so I could not know what the boy said, my bad in that aspect
It was ok I just didnt see shakespeare so that kind of ruined the experience just a tad. Hope to see him next time, thahnks!
Fantastic place to get better in the dynamics of the great playwright
A great tourist trip. Big learning experience. Loved it.
Awesome context for theatre lovers. Cute gear in the gift shop too.
I didn't view any plays. Walked around and used the toilets. Nice toilets. Cleaned regularly.
The Globe is such an institution in London, absolutely a must-visit for theatre lovers and fans of the Bard.
Built after the original theatre Shakespeare wrote for, the Globe just lopks and feels fantastic.
It can be uncomfortable at times, standing for more than three hours or sitting on the small wooden benches. So if you're not sure if you can stand that long, get a seated ticket and bring a seat cushion or back rest with you.
The quality of plays here is simply astounding, I've never been disappointed by a performance at the Globe.
Good but oath does it get hot if you sit up the top.
Great tour of buildings and history
We had a wonderful amusing guide who told us backgrounds, stories and anecdotes about the Globe and Shakespear.
Now a summer performance is still missing.
Wonderful , because the stories just made you want this experience
Lovely visit with an "older" group and nothing was to much trouble for them. Guides very knowledgeable and open to questions, and also funny We were on a guide tour and also saw the Rose Theatre.
We had an enthusiastic guide who really loved what he did, this made it even more fun to listen to the history of the globe.
In the middle of the walk through the tamesis. Good place to visit
The building is a careful reconstruction. The tour is fine but they only offer you in English. The visit is short. It is preferable to visit first thing in the morning because there is availability of tickets and to buy it beforehand because for the 15 hours those of the afternoon are exhausted.
Both the interior and the exterior are worth the visit. Permanent exhibition and guided tour inside the theater is the most recommended.
Trotz eines regnerischen Nachmittags hatte ich einen tollen Aufenthalt.
Wonderful place full of history, a guided tour is recommended.
Great destination. We had a great guide in English. But have not been able to follow well despite not having the best knowledge and that without audio guide
Second time here, for The Winter's Tale matinee. The staff are friendly, groundlings are polite and fun. The venue is nice and the performance is amazing.
Beautiful architecture, built totally of oak with historically accurate mortis, tenon, and peg construction. Tour guides knowledgeable. Midsummer Night's Dream was fantastic!
Wonderful ... Beautiful experience excellent guide. A magical place
Reproduction of the theater where Shakespeare's plays were released.
If you're into this type of thing, a very interesting place to visit.
Our guide (opioniated Welsh guy) was GREAT! Made the visit!
Very well prepared guide (for those who know English) a suggestive visit and immersed in the history and the magic of the theater to be revisited
Fantastic performance and atmosphere .Worth every penny
