We were lucky enough to see them practicing for a performance they were doing! But you really felt transported back in time by being there for this to her! I really enjoyed picking this is one of our sites of London

Great experience. We watched Henry V and I could see myself looking at the stage through the eyes of the centuries. The seats are quite uncomfortable though, and the view is restricted. Standing places might be advised, if you can stand for 3 hours.

One of the best places to see in London. Don't miss the groundling experience, the ticket is only 5 pounds but it is priceless. When you buy tickets, don't forget to donate to the Globe. Donations start at 1 pound.

It is a very faithful reconstruction of the old Theater where Shakespeare was a partner and staged his plays. Take a guided tour (every 30 min and only in English), a must see, the guide is intelligent, knowledgeable, attentive and humorous! A history class. Now the bookstore only has books in the English language, either you read English or go read something else! What an unfortunate lack of accessibility!

Shakespeare's Globe is one of London's iconic institutions that everyone needs to have visited at least once. Don't be fooled into thinking that they'll just be performing ye olde versions of the Bard's plays - they put on some really groundbreaking, innovative stuff too. It's well worth having a tour and checking out their changing exhibitions too.

You have to pay to do a tour or see a show, which we were not able to do at the time because it was sold out. We looked at the rest of the building and the gift shop which was pretty cool! The architecture and history were awesome.

Equal parts tourist attraction and legitimate theatre really - but worth going to for the experience. Standing is the best way to watch a play here, but if that doesn't suit you then there are (not terribly comfortable) seats.

There is something magical about being in London and touring the various Palaces that have been called home to the Royal Family for centuries. In the middle of the beautiful Hyde park, in set right in the smack dab of London is Kensington Palace. I'm not quite sure where it stops being a park and starts being Kensington Gardens but it was very beautiful. Kensington Palace is also the home of Prince Charles and Kate Middleton and their family, who I would have loved to run into but didn't that day. Also home to Princess Diana, the lovely but sad memories found in tribute all around the palace. Such a regal building surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and lawns. Definitely a sight to see when in London.

Great atmosphere, much better than the theatre, with the actors often walking thru the standing audience, to get to and from stage. Acoustics aren't great, so if you sit to the side, you can't always hear. Performances are variable too. With some excellent acting and actors, while others think it's enough to merely trot off their lines. Overall, if you're a resident or a visitor to London, it's a must, even if you don't particularly like Shakespeare.

By far, a must-do experience in London. The acting is amazing. There are no microphones or speakers, just traditional, open-air theatrics. Most the time the shows sell out a few days before, so buy tickets ahead of time. However, there is a returns queue outside the ticket office and there is a chance to get tickets that way.

Even tho this building is only 20 years old or so, the construction was done in the same manner as was believed to be practiced in the old time. The building is really cool to see and I wish we could have caught one of their actual shows. By far the best part for me was our tour guide. I don't remember his name right now but his humor and passion for true theater really made this my favorite stop during our trip.

Actually this is a review for the bar at the Globe, which is a favourite meet up for me. Beer is good, food is good (at a price), but the location and views over the river are worth paying a little extra.
