So grateful to Service Wizard! We called about noon on a weekday with a "no cool air" issue right after my wife was released from surgery. They were already booked for that day - but they somehow found a was to have a Technician (Kevin) stop by on his was home! He quickly found the problem and fixed it with 10 minutes. He worked with me to keep the cost down and we are so thankful. Our twice a year maintenance visits sure did pay off!

My 25 year old upstairs unit finally failed in the spring of 2014, and I solicited estimates from three different contractors. John Osgood at Service Wizard stood out because he went the extra mile in really understanding my needs, was creative in figuring out solutions to a few other issues I was having, and was thoroughly knowledgeable about Austin's rebate programs.
So far so good, but I'm always concerned when it comes time to do the actual work. Exactly who is going to show up at my house??? Will they be competent and experienced? Well, the Service Wizard technicians were outstanding! They were skilled at their craft, took pride in their work, and treated my house as if it was their own.

Unbelievable awesome! They are not looking something faulty to overcharge me. They will just fix/replace as needed. Only a fuse was replaced. I am relieved to save hundreds dollars. Service Wizard has been my go to company for AC/Heat for the last 4 years. They are always responsive and send top notch service technicians. If you have a new system installed, the owners will be actively involved int he definition and oversight of the installation. The Osgood brothers have delivered excellent service in the Austin area for a long time stand behind their work.

When we needed new AC units, Service Wizards was 1/2 of the bid of the company we had been using. My neighbor had recommended them & their prices and service have been outstanding.
We had to have a new AC unit put in to replace the 23 year old system which gave it up. The AC technicians who showed up were extremely polite, answered all questions and let me know exactly what they were doing. The arrived at 8:30AM to replace the existing upstairs air conditioning system and by 3PM had everything packed up and ready to go! The outside condenser got an all new electrical hookup, and the upstairs coil got a complete do over of the AC cabinet with a brand new AC thermostat. Everything worked on the first try and started cooling immediately. Since I do alot of my own electrical and home improvement I know what a great job looks like and they did it.
In addition, our second downstairs unit they took time to do a quick look at and pointed out to me what needs to be done to it, and while they were installing the new condenser outside next to the other condenser made sure that all lines were well insulated and protected.
A great company who answer their phones directly - no VOICE MENU - and got people on the job ASAP.

I was referred by a friend who had two systems installed by Service Wizard. I called in 2018 for a 2nd opinion and then had a yearly service check completed in 2019. Easy to schedule and tech arrived on time and sent his picture before arriving so I could identify him.
Our A/C quit cooling on the Friday evening before the 4th of July. Needless to say it was hot....like over 100 degrees. My ridiculous home warranty program could not find anyone to come service the A/C unit and so I finally called Service Wizard through a recommendation from a friend. Within two hours of calling and requesting service, I received a text message with a photo of Shane (technician) stating that he was on his way. Within about 15 minutes of his arrival, he had diagnosed the problem and had the A/C fixed and up and running. He even took the time to explain how I could more efficiently use the system to put less strain on the unit in the extreme summer heat. I could not be MORE PLEASED with the quality of service and customer care that I received from Service King. I HIGHLY recommend this company!

I love this business! I want a Service Wizard tshirt! My AC unit was 13 years old and giving me trouble. I started out at another service company and was not happy with the estimate for a new unit with this other company. I knew my old AC would hold out for a while, so I shopped around. I met with Erik Bell, from Service Wizard, who gave me an estimate on a Trane (a good solid unit, variable speed, and affordable), and I did not feel pressured, just well-informed on MANY options. I went ahead and got the new unit from Service Wizard and was REALLY impressed with the time and care that the two technicians put into the installation. They even repositioned where my AC filter would go, so that the unit would work more efficiently (which was a little extra work for them). They cleaned up a lot of the intake area and main duct, underneath the condenser and did a REALLY nice job. It looks super clean now! My house is old (1967), and they really put in some extra sweat to make sure this unit will function at its best. They made this experience much less stressful than it would have been with that other company. They also WORE masks and practiced social distancing and made me feel very safe during the installation time. They also gave me a lot of quick tips and guidance on the new unit (how to do this and that) until I can dive into the lengthy owner s manual. Yes, I recommend this company!!! There is just something about them (their techs, the people that answer the phone, the bigwig that calls you back the same day if you have a question or concern). They provide excellent service and are SO knowledgeable and professional.

Bit pricey for the 30 minutes tech was on site but he was available same day and even came earlier than originally estimated.
They set a time window and in both cases were there at the beginning of the time window. They were professional and explained my options once the problem was diagnosed. They even provided a recommendation when I asked what they thought would be best.

My two 23 years old Trane HVAC units died a couple of weeks back. They were being serviced for the past 5 years by Service Wizard. So I got them to replace both with equivalent Trane units. Their quote was very competitive and installation was done fairly quickly. The installation crew did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned the work area afterword. They were professional, polite and knowledgeable about the equipment and explained the working in detail. I was quite pleased with the whole process and would highly recommend Service Wizard to others.

Best A/C service in town. They are honest and professional. I had a guy from Strand Brothers tell me I needed a new unit, because according to his readings, my unit wasn't cooling. Most likely he was saying that based on the years of my unit. So he went ahead and gave me prices and more info on what to do. I contacted Service Wizard and they did their inspection, everything was fine. They couldn't understand why they other co. had said that. Two years later and the unit is still working.

Two representatives came out from Service Wizard to replace the A/C system at my house. I would definitely recommend this company! Everyone I spoke to at Service Wizard had answers to all of my questions and were very responsive. The final cost of the replacement did not go above the cost estimate provided, even though small issues came up during the replacement/installation of the new system. This is a fantastic company to work with for this service.

Service Wizard did a great job replacing my evaporator coil. I received a recommendation from a neighbor, who also had their coil replaced. I requested estimates from competitors, but Service Wizard beat their estimates and installed a premium Trane coil.
Once I chose Service Wizard, they came the next morning to install it. They arrived early. but waited outside until the scheduled time. They covered the stairs and carpet with tarps, so they wouldn't track in any dirt, and they cleaned up everything when they finished.

My sister recommended them way over a year ago and I had a positive and pleasant experience THEN...this summer I needed some more AC work done (I have two old units) and Mr. Charles Osgood promptly set up my appointment. The service person they sent was: 'Emilio R.' and let me tell you---I was very impressed and found his demeanor and level of expertise was SUPERB. I found him to be super efficient, professional, right on schedule. In fact, he went above and beyond, to make 100% SURE I was well taken care of and completely satisfied with the repair job. A less-reputable person would've told me outright to simply forget it--just replace my old unit. But instead, Emilio chose to help me out and fix it for a very reasonable price; this kind of exemplary and compassionate service is almost unheard of these days. I will be returning to them when my units finally give out. I would highly recommend using Service Wizard for any AC work you need!!! A+, in my book.

We have been dealing with Service Wizard for at least 5 years. In May we had to replace our 18 year old Trane heat pump system. Unfortunately, the new system gave us problems from the start. Service Wizard came out quickly every time it went out (5times). Finally, Mr. Osgood himself came out and spent several hours going over the system inch by inch when the pressure kept remaining too low. He finally found a disconnected wire somewhere in the outside system, reconnected it, and pressures came up. We now have hope that the system is fixed! However, we can be sure that if something else goes wrong, they'll be out right away and persevere until they figure out what it is, or they'll replace the whole system if necessary. I've spent the last 6 months getting multiple quotes for a replacement for my 20 year old AC system. Erik did a great job explaining my options and providing knowledge, not just trying to sell me. David made it out the same day I called to diagnose my A/C issue. He had to order a part to fix it, but the part came quickly and he was back to install as soon as the part arrived. A/C is now working great, and the price were very reasonable.
I moved to Service Wizard after 19 years with another company; they had been recommended by a friend and found that they certainly lived up to their reputation. I found them to be innovative in addition to the above marked criteria.

Update to 3 stars since the owner came actually pretty fast after my one star review and was very knowledgeable about all the system, not like the previous young representative. he could make the fan function running. I waited until winter tune up to see how the winter maintenance will go and I was impressed with David's work and experience. He was very friendly I didn't mind all my questions about what he was doing. Thank you David. After about I guess 9 months having the Trane systems installed we saved decent amount on air-conditioning, don't see big difference in heating. So if you know what you want to have installed make sure you check model numbers when they arrive for installation! After installation no one seems to be interested about the mistakes they have done.
I'm very disappointed with this company. When Erik came first to my house he was very professional and explained to me everything what I asked about. On May the 7th two trane systems have been installed with the new S8X1 instead of XT80 (in their estimate) furnaces and everything looked fine. Then I noticed that there is nearly no airflow when system set to circulate or fan on. David came to check on this and he was surprised that the new furnaces have only one speed option on the blower motor for the fan mode and that is the first one, which makes the fan option not useful at all. He sad that they installed about 30 of those units so far. I couldn't believe that they didn't know about this issue. This is not acceptable for me since I use the fan circulate or on when needed.
They only solution was to install relay on the new furnaces so the fan can run on a/c fan speed when in fan mode. But I need to sign a document saying they are not responsible for mold due to running the fan without the ac! I refused to sign any documents and they never got back to me since then!
So if you are looking for system that will work properly in all three settings COOL, HEAT and FAN stay away from the S8X1 furnace and this company because they don't take any responsibilities for their work and systems installed and let you hang after you pay!
Not even mentioning that they installed a bigger coil than I wanted without letting me know. I found this out next day from model numbers. They didn't pull a permit as agreed with Erik. David send techs back to install one more smoke detector and connector for exhaust pipe(needed by code). And they forgot again to install the pipe connector. Hope they really send the rebate forms to city of Austin so I can get compensate at least a little until I find out how to deal with this furnace and this company.
Just what a home owner would hope for, good price, honest, prompt and only do what's necessary. Same prompt service.

A friend referred me to Service Wizard. I made my request pretty much last minute and they advised it may be a few days due to their being so many service calls they had received. Somehow they found a way to come out on Friday morning and take care of the problem---I did not expect them to be able to come so quickly so that was a very pleasant surprise. The technician offered us a choice between purchasing a new unit, or getting a temporary fix that may or may not last. For the time being, we went with the fix. It was great to have a repair company actually offer these choices and be very up front with us. We will definitely be calling them when the need for a new unit arises.
For several years, Service Wizard has been taking care of routine, semi-annual HVAC inspections and maintenance for a rental house we own. They make it super easy for us by coordinating directly with the tenant, sending texts when the technician is on the way and following up with me directly if there are any non-routine issues that come up. AWESOME, AWESOME Service. I had Precision Heating & Air come out and tell me with no troubleshooting I had to have a new transformer, drop new wiring, new control board saying it would be around $1200 and at that point I should get an entirely new furnace and matching coil - probably over $5,000. Sounded crazy to me so a friend recommended Osgood/ServiceWizard. They came out and withing 20 minutes had my AC blowing cold again for under $200 by installing a new fused transformer. They even showed me how to repair it myself if it ever happened again. Very trustworthy in my opinion. I wouldn't consider using anyone else.

I've had Service Wizard come out twice now (over the past couple years), and both times they were able to determine and fix the problem with my A/C unit quickly, easily, and cheaply. That's important, as other people I've had come out were either unable to fix the issue or told me I needed to buy an entirely new unit. In my experience with Service Wizard, they have been fair and honest with me - and they know what they are doing when it comes to A/C units.
I always watch what contractors do around my home and these people are always professional and give clear and concise responses to any and all questions I may have on any step. Great service! Great work!

My AC went out at the house and had a company come out and quote me $5000 to replace the furnace and coil. Called Service Wizard and they said it would be $2800 to $3500 depending in the system, but he said there is no way it needed to be replaced now. Just charged me $495 to replace the control board. All cold again.

Great job! Emilio worked efficiently and provided a nice maintenance service on my A/C unit. He recommended a capacitor replacement, and to save money gave me some tips on how to do the repair myself and where to buy the part. I'll be using them again for sure!
