Pizza was sooooo good. Waitress was friendly. The location is good. My wife dad owns a pizzeria and I love pizza. So when I say it's good. I really mean it. I never had to pay $15 for pizza. So I would go during special hours.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, the setting and decor all make restaurant seem very high class. Service was great, friendly and quick to help. The food looked great, the only thing wrong with my experience here was that everything was seasoned with charcoal. The bottom of the pizza dough was burnt and black. It ruined the taste and just ruined the meal. Even my salad was burnt, the kale in my salad had charcoal edges. The taste of ash does not season the food well, I regret spending more than $100 here.

I seriously love this restaurant! My only complaint is that I wish there was one in Denver that sells the full Boulder location's menu, as my favorite menu items are only available at the one in Boulder.

This is my go-to for Boulder. It blends perfectly the gluten-free or vegetarian needs with the need for something Fancy with a decent glass of wine. The flatbread is to die for and I have never had anything here that was anything less than spectacular. A favorite for co-workers and visitors alike.

Poor takeout experience. Not the best 70$ I ve ever spent (2 pizzas, the burrata bruschetta, the dessert pizza plus 20% tip) on pizzas. The pizza was somewhat good quality, but the service was pretty terrible. I arrived at the time recommended for order pickup but did not receive the order until 20 minutes later. I knew it wasn t a good sign when the boxes weren t hot. 5 min drive home. The order when opened was cold/lukewarm and the cheese congealed on both the margherita and funghi pizzas. This is clear in the photos below. I d expect that from sbarros, but not from this place. Additionally the 2$ arugula order added post bake came in the small container as displayed below. Not worth it in my mind. The pizza itself wasn t bad after I heated it up, but definitely not the experience I was hoping for after reading mostly positive reviews. The crust was pretty great. I just like my Neopolitan style pizzas to be hot like they ve just been cooked in a brick or wood fired oven. I m sure the dine in experience is better from a freshness standpoint.

* I have addended this review/rating since the owner reached out to me with an apology and full refund plus a gift card for the poor take out experience. They were very professional, and courteous, which I appreciated very much.

Pizza is a bit undercooked for my liking, it flops and drips but it s still yum. Maybe ask for it to be well done.

One personal pie was more than enough for the two of us.

Cocktails are great and staff is knowledgeable about everything on the menu.

Comfy cozy dinning room and bar, you can see your food get made from just about anywhere.

First off, the food was AMAZING! Pizzeria Locale is a must for the best pizzas in the state. It is a very traditional Italian pizza restaurant. They also have a very high end espresso bar. I cannot comment on the quality of their coffee drinks, however the equipment is more impressive than many high end coffee bars. The service was crap though. Our waitress was rude and didn't bother to check on our table. There was a man (the bartender I think) who was really nice so I guess that is a consolation, but unfortunately he wasn't our waiter. I might come again but it would only be for the food as the service was overall disappointing. Maybe I'll just go to another location.

Not impressed, basic pizza. Not authentic Napolitano pizza as described. A few things I noticed that made me give 3 stars 1. They didn't serve the marinara sauce warm with the arancini and thesaffron was overpowering for the portion size. 2. The fried zucchini was all clumped together in fried batter. (Careless frying) 3. Our dinner guest asked for an Italian soda, and they didn't have any. Which is odd since the restaurant's vibe is trying to be authentic Italian. 4. The octopus salad (photo attached) was tasty, however I would like more octopus and less kale.
However, the staff were all very friendly, kind and hospitable. My review is to say, with minor tweaks Pizzeria Locale could be great.

We've been coming here for a while and there's a reason for that: They make good pizza. Their pizza is delicious (not over sauced or cheesed), their staff are professional and knowledgable, and the environment is an excellent balance between casual and good eating. They make a good espresso but also have a nice wine list. Their wine is a little pricy, even with a few house selections, but that being said you're paying for a quality glass. I am appreciative and was impressed with how the staff handled our larger group on this most recent visit and would like to say thank you. We would highly recommend if looking for a quality Neapolitan pizza place and will be back in the future.

We did a little survey at the various shops around town and along Pearl Street asking for the best pizza in Boulder and one name kept popping up, Pizzeria Locale. We decided to stop and now know why it was so highly recommended. It was fantastic! Patrick, our server did a great job and the pizza was fantastic. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Will be back for sure!

My husband and I discovered Pizzeria Locale a few years ago. Being from Miami we stumbled upon it as we explored Boulder on a May afternoon. And now almost every rime we are back in Colorado we make a side trip to Pizzeria Locale. It can get busy, so I always make a reservation via their website. During warmer weather they have outdoor seating and you see people hanging out with their dogs. It is very relaxed ans casual. They have a nice little bar area when you first walk in. The actual seating area is not large, which is why you might want to make a reservation. In the center is a huge wood burning pizza oven. You can watch your oizza being made right there. We have always experienced great service. We happened to be there this past Sunday for National Pizza Day (2/9/20). They offer a full menu of appetizers, salads, and a few limited entrees and of course Pizza. The menu changes seasonally which I appreciate. However, there are some items that are a constant. For this trip to start we ordered the arancini, fried butternut squash dusted with parmesean and served like french fries with aioli, and the burrata with figs. The appetizers were amazing. The arancini - the way the rice and cheese melt in your mouth as you bite in to the crispy outer layer is truly satisfying, it will be hard to only want to eat 2! The butternut squash were also a good option. The dusting of parmesan on top really does elevate the tase. I love burrata, so I will always order it. The burrata was served over arugula with figs, rustic bread and a dressing that had a hint of chili oil. We ate the burrata with the figs and arugula on the toasted bread wedges, we also ate it without - either way is a treat. Since we had already indulged in 3 appetizers we shared a pizza. The pizzas are small enough for individuals to have their own. We shared the Diavola. San Marzano tomato sauce, cheese, basil, pepperoni, and another spicy salami make up the Diavola. It is finished with a drizzle of chili o
il. The dough was just crispy enough, and the flavors all married well together. I can't wait to go back!

I've eaten good pizza in Rome and pizza here is on that level. Of course you're in Boulder not Rome so don't get unreasonable expectations. Best place to sit is at the bar. Service is super and fun.

The restaurant is under the same ownership as Frasca (next door), arguably the top restaurant in Boulder, so dining is about quality, service and experience.

Best traditional italian pizzeria in town. Beautiful oven and bar seating to watch the process. Great salads, prosciutto shaved for your order, excellent wines and cocktails.

Happy Hour is my personal favorite with a small selection of pizzas appetizers and drinks at reasonable prices.

Wanted to try this place as it was pretty new. The pizza was pretty good, but could have been a bit crispier. I don't know if it was just the kind I ordered, but the crust was a bit soggy. Also, the lighting was a bit sterile. I would like to try it again now that they've been up and running for a while!

Great spot on the best street in America!! I sat at the super comfy bar facing Pearl St. watching the snow fly and eating a stellar margarita pizza all while having service done right!! Thanks Ben!! A must stop while in Boulder!!

Thin burnt charcoal crusts with a light smear of tomato sauce and very sparse toppings. Had to ask for napkins and utensils. Nobody ever came to see if we liked our food or needed drinks. No fun trying to choke down charcoal with nothing to wash it down with. Not that we wanted our leftovers, but taking them wasn't an option considering there was no service. Had to find someone to get our bill. They wouldn't accept a bank issued Visa gift card even though we travel the entire country using them for safety and have never had a problem. Spent sixty bucks on 3 "personal" size charcoal disks, no drinks, and close to zero service.

Great place, great food.

Great place, great food.
Highly recommend the lunch special for $10; great value.

This restaurant is always crowded. They specialize in pizza, and this time I found there were only a few items that I liked. Most of the menu was gormet specialty pizzas, most likely food your children would not like.

The food was very good. I sat at the pizza bar, and was able to watch the chefs and cooks work while I waited for my food and while I ate. It's clear that they take pride in their food, and it shows in the taste! The service itself was just ok - not overly friendly, but certainly not rude either. Although I did get my food and drinks in a very reasonable amount of time, even on a busy evening. The price point is also decent for food of this quantity. The only weird thing about the food is that they do not cut their pizza.

What struck me most about this restaurant though was how much the staff genuinely seemed to respect each other. Kitchens have a reputations for being tough places to work, and chefs have bad reputations as well. However, the chefs I saw today were kind to their staff, helpful, and did not seem to have much of an ego. That attitude also seems to trickle down through the whole staff.

Overall, a very good experience!

Perhaps the best pizza in the whole Denver area. Everything you find on menu is outstanding, literally everything. Great service, not too annoying, the only downside - music does not suit the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Understandably the argument over what state had the best Pizza will go on for ages. I am happy to say that Pizza Locale embodies what a true pie should entail by keeping its roots closely tied to Italy the true king of pizza making. I hail from Chicagoland and although I have my hometown favorites I am so excited to have a restaurant that produces so many tasty dishes. In addition their ambiance and services are outstanding. I will keep searching for another delicious pizza that can complete with Pizza Locale, but I will say that at this time it is on the top of the list of places to eat.

If you're looking for the perfect Italian style pizza...this is the place. The food is fresh, made in house and outstanding. The staff is well versed on the pizza types and wines which will go with hit. Their bar is top notch also.

I was excited when I saw the menu and ingredient list, but execution was pretty poor as was the service. If you are going to put something as fantastic as ramps on your menu, make them the star of the dish and DO NOT burn them to a crisp. Neapolitan style pizza is soft by design, so making your customers cut it themselves with a joke of a knife is either lazy or poorly thought out. Also, I realize this is in Boulder, but the holier-than-thou attitude of the staff is very off putting.

Eating this pizza will forever change what you thought a great pizza was. The fungi is perhaps one of the best things I have ever eaten. Everything is extremely fresh and it's a good show watching the guys make pizza.
