My partner is an Italian expat and whenever she needs pizza to make her feel at home we come to Pizzeria Locale. They have a lot of the classics (still waiting for a capricciosa) and they are preformed with precision and filled with high quality ingredients. Whenever we come we make sure to order a large portion of arancini and sip on fine Italian import beers. Make this your regular stop.

Great pizza and cannolis!! The service is usually pretty prompt too. Oh, their tiramisu is also very delicious as well. An exquisite and refined pizza taste in my humble opinion. There are a lot of different styles and tastes of pizza and sometimes you want your more typical and standard stuff, which is still very delectable, but sometimes you want to step it up a notch too and this is what that is. However, the price will surely remind you as well, but it is understandable. For your nicer stuff, these guys are my pick; for your day to day and cheaper stuff, I also have a pick, but prudence says I should keep it to myself, but this other pizza is a mighty good deal, offers very fast service relative to the demand, and is better-priced and of higher quality than it's competition, and the dough is freshly made daily, but I'll let you all guess who my latter pick is-- I could not in good conscience just skip over the latter pizza, as I felt that I needed to offer my take on the local pizza stratum of quality, but Pizzeria Locale is indubitably the "Bee's knees." I take my pizza seriously.

Great

I always love their pizza! Happy hour in the summer is my favorite time to go because use you can sit outside with a glass of wine and people watch. O new of my favorite places in Boulder.

Quick service, good food, chill vibe. We sat at the bar on the outside of the restaurant, very unique experience. Pizzas are an excellent size for sharing if you're also tag-teaming an appetizer.

We just moved to Boulder and this place is phenomenal. Eddie was so great in explaining the menu and took such good care of us! It was a wonderful welcome to the community and made me even more excited to be here.

We got the Diavola pizza and the flavors were so unique. We will definitely be back to try some other pizzas in the future!

Delicious wood fired pizzas. Some of the best pizza you'll find in all of CO honestly. The hostess was super snooty. Aside from that it was a lovely experience. We had the Super Gambera (a white pizza with sausage & shrimp) that was incredible. And the simple olive app was delicious. A touch expensive but worth the treat. Very modern interior. And with the exception of the hostess staff was pleasant.

Describing this place as a pizza joint is a huge understatement. This place has a refined modern clean feel. They have a simple menu with pizzas, salads, appetizers, and others with all the best things I can think of on it. I had the Diavola Neapolitan pizza, bruschetta, olives and red wine. I thought everything was absolutely delicious. The best part was I sat at the pizza bar and watched my pizza being made. I wish I lived here so I could keep coming back.

Number one in Boulder for pizza in 2020 for a reason! Wow! Simply fantastic. A pizza place that uses high quality, incredibly fresh, tasty ingredients.
We had the arguala salad, octopus salad, margarita pizza, diavola pizza, and Mais pizza. Along with the Budino and Saltimbocca with Nutella. We would order it all again too.
Can't wait to come back!

Some of the best pizza in the front range! The atmosphere is perfect for those looking for a nice glass of wine, delicious pizza and people watching. The staff was amazing and so friendly, it is always great having a down to earth waiter who makes spending money so easy. This is going to be a once a week date night for sure. I highly recommend eating here! Pizza how it should be.

Pizza? I don't think so. More like salty flat bread with 2 toppings and garlic oil. Meh. We had the Margherita and the Funghi pizzas and both were nothing to write home about. Great staff and great service though!

Incredible. My friend and I went here for a much-needed dinner out. As soon as we arrived we were quickly sat, asked our water preference and, given our "hands-free-menu" code. We ordered a bottle of Rose to start. For our entree we ordered two pizzas, IIl Maestro as well as the Diavolo, and an Artigianle salad to split. We got through our salads, but barely finished half of our pizzas! Fortunately, we were able to take our leftovers to go. We also HAD to take a Butterscotch pudding with us, just after our obligatory Limoncello aperitifs! Highly recommend.

Excellent execution of an upscale, authentic Italian pizza restaurant. Not surprising given it's the sister restaurant of Frasca. Servers are extremely attentive, great view of the beautiful pizza oven (shipped from Italy...) With access to a world class Italian wine list. Don't go if you're expecting Chicago or NY style pizza.

While the pizza is pretty good, the Aperol Spritz was a sham. $5 happy hour for an Aperol Spritz and I got a 3 oz drink, watered down sad excuse for the Italian favorite- the ice was piled higher than the tiny bit of liquid you get. You can see legit spritzes from Italy and see the obvious differences.

Delicious seasonal food, tasted very fresh and used some eccentric ingredients that made the meal exciting. Sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful. Thankfully I sat at the bar though because I struggled with reading some of the menu with it being in Italian. This is the first Pizzeria Locale and owned independently by a top chef in Boulder. You won't find Italian delicacies like these in any other Pizzeria Locale. Beautiful restaurant.

We really enjoyed this little pizza place. They make quite a show of shaving the meat and putting the pizzas together. The results are truly spectacular. Another plus is that the Italian cocktails are very good (they've got the right vermouth!). Don't hesitate, just go here.

I m baffled by the many 5 stars awarded this restauran, because our group of 4 unanimously declared it some of worst food we ve eaten in a long time. From pizza to lasagna, everything was grossly oversalted to the point of being inedible How go you oversalted lasagna, for cramminy sake?) Granted, cheese can be salty, but the food here tasted like it had been soaked in the Dead Sea. Which it may well have been, considering the soggy, limp crust underlying the toppings.
First sign of trouble came when the pizza arrived unsliced. That, combined with menu descriptions in Italian spoke of affectation, and I m always wary of pretentious, affectatious restaurants, be they genuine five star establishments or pizza joints.
If you somehow can get past the salt content - we couldn t, and left our entrees unfinished, you ll discover skimpy toppings and a truly mediocre tomato sauce, all on the aforementioned flabby crust. Ugh.

On the plus side, wonderful, cheerful and attentive service and a very nice atmosphere. We sat at a communal table and struck up a conversation with a family of 5 from California (who were as unimpressed with the fare as we were) and that saved a terrible meal from being an extremely unpleasant experience. Of course, had we encountered unpleasant dining neighbors ....

A lot of these reviews claim that this is the best pizza in Boulder . If accurate, I pity Boulder residents with a craving for good pizza.

So: grossly oversalted, a pathetic excuse for crust, overpriced for what is gloriously promised and what appears at the table.

Host was very friendly and hospitable. Seated us as soon as we walked up and placed water on the table as soon as we were seated.

The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, very big help!

Clean and great environment. The pizza is made with good quality ingredients. For the person who likes to eat gourmet toppings with the Italian flair. Our server was mediocre but efficient.

One of the best wood fired pizzas we've had in a long time. Great wine list with a focus on wines from the Piemonte region of Italy. The staff was very friendly and super good at their jobs. We will be back!

I've been here several times now over a few years. The quality is the same each time. This place is lively and 'buzzy'. It's a good vibe to eat in this place. Enjoyed the food, it's high quality.

I love the eclectic selection of pizza they have, from a traditional Margherita to the "Angry Hawai'ian", it's all good stuff here. They make the pizzas in front of you, which is nice, and they'll make sure each slice is nice and warm before serving. I do think they need a better serving setup instead of having the line block the serving counter and drink machine, but that's a minor complaint.

My wife and I had a great dinner here. Evan took great care of us, the salad and pizza were exceptional. Free dessert for her bday eve was a nice touch! Postcards that they will mail for you. Awesome experience

Was searching for good neopolitan pizza in Boulder and tried Pizzeria Locale. The pizza is good but nothing to rave about. I now to go to Denver to MidiCi's because their pizza is miles better.

I love this place. The pizza reminds me of sitting on the piazza in Florence. The prosciutto is amazing... it is all so good. I go as often as I can. You can't beat sitting at this bar, inside or out, having an aperol spritzer, a couple happy hour bites and a super good (bit wet) pizza. The crew couldn't be nicer. The ambiance is great and the food is made with care and skill. Good drinks as well.

The crust on the pizza is really good, however we ran into some issues when we received the order to go. We ordered the ancient salad to go, and it came in a small container with arugula, a few pieces of parmesean, and balsamic. Though this is the salad, the size is far from $9 worth. I was disappointed with the size and ingredients when paying that much for a salad. On the pizza, the crust was great, but the pizza itself wasn t cut into pieces. Perhaps that s the style of the pizza, but we found it annoying to have to cut our own slices without a pizza cutter at home. We just moved, so everything is put in boxes. Having the pizza cut into slices would have been nice and way less hassle. The white mushroom pizza itself is pretty good, so the quality isn t the issue! More just details that can be ironed out and presented better.

The best pizza in Boulder for those that prefer a more traditional style of pizza. Easily my favorite happy hour as well with great wines, appetizers, and pizzas. The perfect stop before or after a journey into the mountains, or workout.

The gluten free crust is the best my girlfriend has ever had.

Pretty place but pretentious for what is pretty much dough and cheese. They have some pasta based entrees that we did not try. The salads are tiny. The wine is over priced. The wait staff are great though.

Pizzeria Locale is hands-down the best pizza in Boulder. The atmosphere is fabulous, but the pizza is great even if you take it home. Whether you eat there or not, make sure you try their Budino (butterscotch pudding) - even if you don't think you have room, it'll be the best dessert you've ever had!!!

A really delicious...if a little uppity kinda pizza place. Great meats. Great ingredients. Great service....feels...a LITTLE pretentious (though I'm still giving 5 stars.) They don't actually cut the pizza. There's a jesus over the bar. Sodas are from a can and not a fountain. I'm sure there's a reason but it always feels a little strange. I get it. They're shooting for something a little more classy. And it IS. I guess I am not. I'M the problem. As usual.

Anyway great place. Go eat there.
