The rooms were decent. The staff definitely lacked common sense. They will be responsible for getting everyone sick in my opinion.

Great location so close to train and having shuttle running to the plaza. Room was fine.
Awesome place to stay and great staff if you're contemplating saying in sf look no further
Very disappointed with the Inn. Booked a room for 3 days with double beds which didn't have upon my arrival at 2am..they offer me a king sizes bed that couldn't accept. Left Inn to go elsewhere.. I was charged for the first night....will never stay or book a room at Santa Fe Sage Inn.
Because the room was worse than motel six. Really small and tiny bathroom. No water pressure. Laundry was not useable because the soap dispenser took our money. The front desk would not give us quarters nor reimburse for money lost. The breakfast was excellent.
For the money it was a rip off.
This is our favorite place to stay in Santa Fe. Beautiful Southwestern style Inn provides warm ambiance. Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay.
Great room! Nice and clean. Everyone that worked there was very help. The morning breakfast was great as well!
Great location! lovley breakfast! free coffee in the lobby, what more could you ask for!
I've called twice and a guy that answers hung up on me both times. Third time I called the same guy put me in hold for 20 minutes and eventually hung up on me. I called again and they told me there's no rooms available. So by then, I was at the hotel. My brother for a room and told the attendant on duty, I called and was avoided then they attended to my brothers needs. Never g this hotel. They're reaches and won't serve native Americans. DONT VISIT THIS FACULTY
I initially booked my reservation thru Hotels.com I have been having trouble accessing the cancel reservation option thru my cell phone. I called the Sante Fe Sage Inn directly and spoke to Jessica(Assistant Operational Mgr) she was ABOVE AND BEYOND helping me figure everything out and some tips/tricks for booking directly with the hotel in the future!! Jessica, thank you for your hospitality and help. When we are allowed to fly/travel again or it's safe too I will book with you guys DIRECTLY!! Thanks again!!

A most wonderful southwestern inn with the best service that my wife and I have received in a very long time. We only wish we could find a Sage Inn in other towns that we visit. The value received in unbelievable.
Good location, clean room. The location is good and quiet.
The first room we were given still had humans in it when we opened the door. The second room was empty, which was nice. It sounded like the ceiling was going to fall through when people on the floor above us walked. Otherwise, the room was nice and the bathroom was totally fine for the price. Breakfast buffet was amazing - almond milk, red and green chili with eggs, biscuits, 3 kinds of coffee, and more. Would stay here again.
New mexico feel. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.
Very nice inn. Clean and welll decorated. Breakfast was good with tasty coffee.
We made reservations for this hotel on booking.com. The pictures were nice and it had a very good rating. We found it odd that the rate was non refundable, but went ahead and booked it. Upon arrival we were very disappointed as this is in reality a motel 6 with a botched face lift. We suddenly realized why there were no exterior pictures of the building as that would expose the exterior doors and they could no longer claim to be a hotel. We also noticed that on booking.com they are listed as Sage Hotel and the sign at the facility says Sage Inn and Suites ... there is nothing Suite about this property. The finishes were terrible and clearly a DIY attempt at a renovation. They charged a $15 resort fee ... this was as close to a resort as a KOA. They also charge $15 a night dog fee. The pool was drained and dirty..(see photo).. The bathrooms had the original fiberglass shower and mixed matched hardware and plugs. We asked asked the front desk for a refund and we were told we could cancel the reservation for the full price of the room plus taxes... how is this a refund? They asked why were disappointed and we explained all of the above and their response was we are a boutique hotel . My advice...go down the street to Hilton where you will pay the same amount or less (after all the fees and taxes at the Sage)and you will be across the street from the plaza. Our total bill upon check out at the Sage was $157 and the rate per night was advertised as $80 per night.
Looks good online but room was old, tiny bathrooms, broken lamp, etc. Older property that could have great character. It just needs better upkeep, updating, and care.
Nice diggs. Very comfortable room. Excellent wifi. Worth it.
Beautifully furnished. Clean. All staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Our group of 30 persons stayed 3 nights at the Sage Inn. Great services, breakfast and restuarant. Good location with Free Shuttle.
Near the Rail Yard District and access to NM Railrunner train to Albuquerque. A real travel value.
Clean rooms. No frills but great spot for a one night stay on the road.
Ask for a wake up call because clock was set to wrong time, I could tell they were not planning on following through, I was able to get current time (phone out of power) to set the clock, good thing too. WiFi is horrible and I could only get 1 bar.
In a town filled with great food the restaurant was sub par.
Prices were fair, the room was clean, and the ac worked great. Certainly adequate but not a luxury hotel
It was nice. They keep changing the name of the bar though.
Enjoyed the stay . Had a great band that night on the patio.
Can not even give them a rating. Had to give 1 star other wise it would not let me post. I stay here about every six months and Aug the 22 will be the last time I stay there. I asked for a early check in and the clerk told me it would be 25 dollors if they had to pull a maid to clean the room which they did not. It was already ready for check in. For 3 hours I had to listen to the person above pace back and forth after driving all night and day. I called the desk and complained it never stopped. I then made another complaint so they moved me to another room. That room had a smell to it and the AC fan was loud as a engine. The next day at check out they gave me a bill totaling 160 something dollors. But they charged my credit card 190.00 so travelers beware.
Precious. They updated so it's very modern, minimalist but still super afforable. Great for kids. Breakfast was hot and fresh. So glad we found this on our winter road trip!!
Looks ok on the surface, but once you spend a little time here you realize that it really cheaps out on things like poorly functioning air conditioners and lack of fridge. I wouldn't stay here again.
Thanks a lot Phil for your help... This place and management is really helpful.
Terrible experience........
I had to cancel the reservations and they told me it was no problem but they still ended up charging for the night. I tried to get my money back but the manager told me it was not possible to get my refund because the woman whom I spoke to at the receptionist desk doesn t exist. The worst customer service ever.
Great decor & rooms. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had.
Clean and quiet. I would have rated it five stars but I had to pay $5 to park there. That seemed out of line.
Nice modernized motel with 10 minute walk to town. Whole foods next door.
For $75 a night I felt I got my moneys worth. Remodeled rooms were pleasant to the eye and the bed was very comfortable. The small bar and restaurant on location are surprisingly good and affordable with a talented and friendly staff. Another big plus about this facility is its location. You can t get much closer to downtown and there are a number of services around including a Whole Foods store.
The bathrooms were not remodeled and they show their age. The outside of this facility looks like a Motel 6 and was surprisingly older than the Internet pictures showed. Lastly, stay on the second floor because if you get a noisy neighbor above you you will hear every footstep
Folks here are nice. Great location. Simple basic rooms, vintage/small, but clean. Lots of parking. Breakfast included.
Friendly staff but a very worn out place. More like a motel than inn or hotel. Cramped rooms, poorly furnished. Primary attraction seems to be price but for a bit more there are other choices. Great if you like living out of your suitcase.
Staff is professional, personable and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I will be recommending this place to friends and family traveling through!
Clean comfortable room and great customer service.... shuttle service to the square was a plus
Great affordable hotel, friendly staff, and nice rooms. I always recommend my friends and family to the Sage Inn.
Good room. We got a room with 2 queens the room was plenty big for us. The place is so close to the plaza. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast but that was just me. It was soooo basic. I would still go back. Front desk very friendly. I would just go to the Fench Cafe that is less tjan 1 mile down Don Diego for breakfadt next time, Don Diego and Cardova.
We stayed for the weekend and took advantage of all the great amenities they had to offer from free shuttle to the great new hot breakfast (what a deal) we will always stay at the Sage Inn everytime we visit
There was mold in the bathroom, and small ants all over the vanity! Management, when told, said "Well, you already paid". Will not go back!
Front desk was helpful, no microwave in the room.
The main reason for me leaving a review is because the morning of my checkout, my privacy was breached by hotel staff.
Checkout is at 11am and I
Was laying in bed around 9am when somebody knocked on the door, and without announcing themselves or without any acknowledgement of their presence, opened the door to the room. This is not cool and like I said, a serious break of personal boundaries and privacy. My suggestion is announce yourself as hotel staff or housekeeping/maintenance and definitely don't enter until either acknowledged or until after checkout. Not cool... and won't be staying here again.
Decent hotel for a decent price. A couple of things I would have addressed, but overall it was nice. Breakfast was okay. Nothing special, but it's free so I'm not complaining. My kids loved the waffles. The beds we're suprisingly comfortable. Not great but as far as hotels go, it was good.
The only complaint I had was that I found mold in the shower. Not a lot, so it's a HUGE, but it could make people sick if it was more. I told the lady at the desk and she apologized and said she would make sure it gets taken care of.
But like I said, overall it was a good stay.
Right near the train. Good rate. Breakfast was varied. Had restaurant attached. Clean. Busy so obviously people like it. One staff member not friendly. Otherwise competent friendly staff.
Misleading pictures of accommodations on the website and other review sites. Bed was lumpy with not many sheets or pillows, AC was old, the water was scalding, and they charge extra fees for pets and trailers. The room was barren (not like the photos online) and TV and WiFi were not working. Location was the only positive of our stay, as there was a great park across the street and Whole Foods down the way. I would look elsewhere for a comfortable stay in Santa Fe.
Hotel rooms were small, it was hard to find a place to fit my pack and play for my baby. That would have been ok by at 630 am there was hardly any hot water on for the shower.
I enjoyed staying here. The only issue is that internet in the rooms I have stayed in is at best poor. Internet in the lobby is fine. If I go back to Santa Fe, I will stay here.
Very nice . People were very friendly and you have to eat at the resturant next door !
What a wonderful cozy place the food is good and there s a wonderful vibe. The bartender Ieesha is fantastic and upbeat, she makes the place feel welcoming for both locals and guests!
Nice but..., lousy TV (hi Def feed to std Def pic), snowy picture. Could not connect smart phone to WiFi (probably b-cuz glxy s4 connection app can't display frames [guessing]). Had trouble with PC connect to WiFi but had a very nice person come by to help (sorry I didn't get her name but thnx much. You were great). WiFi extraordinarily slow. Continental breakfast was very good & much appreciated. I'm mixed about the sage but wouldn't totally rule out a return.
It's clean enough not particularly modern in the room that we're staying in nice breakfast area but it's a continental breakfast no microwave or refrigerator in the room. That's unfortunate.
We have a fine room, a bit small, no fridge or microwave but good Internet. It is in walking distance of downtown. A good value for Santa Fe.
Great location, clean rooms, pool, workout room, and restaurant with a bar. Staff is very friendly. I would stay again
Clean rooms. With easy walking distance to almost everything.
Everything was great for the price. There were a couple minor cosmetic things they could have done. A tile in our bathroom was loose but I told the staff and they made a note of it. Other than that it was great. They offer shuttle service downtown and the breakfast was great! Would stay again.
This is a nice hotel and certainly one of the more affordable ones in Santa Fe. Nothing fancy, but the place is clean and well kept. Rooms are nothing fancy, basic small-ish but clean and comfortable. Great location just a few minutes walk from the plaza and across the street from the Railyard park. Nice outdoor space. I've stayed here many times and I keep coming back.
Pros: -best breakfast ever! Healthy delicious filling!! Worth coming back to for this alone in my book!
-Nice rooms comfy bed, good toiletries in bathroom !
- Location was fabulous!
-Lobby was very clean and welcoming!
Cons:- very rude front desk worker!!
-The price was amazing until we had to pay an additional 15$ For the resort fee which they should make clearer to the buyer when you check out the room online
-Showers in the morning were cold!! Not a great thing to experience in the winter in Santa Fe
-very uncomfortable pillows!
-Bathtub didn t appear to be cleaned recently
Room is incomplete and filthy. Took shower and my feet were black - black - after walking around. For all their upgrades / the room is still just a dump. Could be a great value and find. But as is typical of Santa Fe, ultimately nobody cares if you re satisfied and really, that s all. Never will I return.
Was not as described online!
Unfortunately we were very disappointed, they tell you that there s FREE breakfast, WiFi and parking! This is actually not true they charge you at $15 a day Xperience Xclusives fee. The WiFi doesn t work, the gym is closed. The Breakfast isn t the social eatery they would lead you to believe, it s small, limited and underwhelming.
I understand with COVID there s limitations but that should be well communicated. The misinformation is very disappointing. The benefits of choosing this hotel in the first place was for all the amazing amenities they offered as being included in the price!
That being said I wouldn t recommend this hotel.
Great location with a helpful and friendly staff. We were offered a room upgrade upon checkin and were very impressed with the level of customer service we received. We will definitely be back to the Sage Inn!
My parents love to stay here when they come in to town.
Service was unreasonably slow and the quality of food was terrible. I would not recommend this place.
Hidden fees...read before pay.
Wifi sucks totally.
Restaurant way overpriced.
Breakfast starting from 7.00am.
We was checking out at 6.20am and nobody didn't even recommended to us where we could get breakfast.
Not friendly stuff at all.
Will never stay there again.
Super EXTRA SMALL SWIMMING pool.
At least roos was nice and clean.
Rooms are not swept or vacuumed. Globs of hair and dirt in every corner including someones old bra behind a desk. Mona at the front desk was not helpful and seemed annoyed. Phil was nice and helped to relocate me. We found 2 more rooms equally as dirty. Donny, the shuttle driver, was super helpful. He swept my room and offered to help in any other way. The towels were damp in every room and the floor was sticky in the bathroom. I cannot imagine what the 15 maids on staff do if they are not cleaning the floors! My total "check-in" time 1 1/2 hours.
It is a fantastic city with a wonderful building style mud village very luxurious and with great exhibition and sale of art, we loved
Sage inn is a an exceptional place to stay in, the staff here are some of the nicest and most professional people you'll ever meet. The bar and nachos here are some the best in all of New Mexico! As to the whole place itself it's one of the cleanest I've ever been too I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great time and or a great place to stay at all at an affordable price.
The receptionists were very welcoming and super nice! Room was very clean and tidy
The room was so nice, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was A-MAZ-ING! Our suite had 2 full bathrooms. It was snowing and the room heaters were so effective. 10/10 would stay here again if I were in Santa Fe.
I was surprised that among their "amenities " charges, which include using WiFi, pool, etc, was PARKING! Not only do you pay for the room, but it cost an extra $15 to park! I didn't use anything else, so that's what I paid extra for! Boo!!!
Decent for the price. They charge for parking though.
I can't believe the number of good reviews for this place. It is mind blowing to take 30-40 min to check in. The room was dirty, there was hair on the sheets and in the tub. The staff was extremely rude, and seemed to not care for their customers at all. I wouldn't stay at this place ever again.
I was expecting a hotel but was surprised upon arrival that it is, in fact, a motel. Rooms are directly facing the parking lot, which is excessively illuminated and often loud. The beds are large but not comfortable, and the rooms are fairly packed. Breakfast was thouroughly underwhelming; for my stay, they served bagels, a few pastries, do-it-yourself waffles, and coffee. Wi-Fi has been spotty and slow at best and non-functional at worst. To their credit, they offer very cheap lodging. If you you need a budget option in Santa Fe and don't mind putting up with these inconveniences then by all means, this is the place for you.
Wonderful place, great location across from Railyard.
Chantay was such a help, very friendly and knowledgeable about area and location. With people like her around I'll be back. Thank you staff.
Our experience here was good. Clean rooms and attentive staffing. Property appears well maintained. Free breakfast included. Will stay here again.
