A bit pricey for a Motel 6 type place but I guess for Santa Fe it's normal, it is remodeled and clean, a bit too far too walk to Plaza [1mile]. Staff friendly. Location so-so, almost close to the tourist action

The guest room was comfortable and the room was clean and attractive. The key card system was troublesome. Finally, on the last night staying there, we were provided two key cards that worked. The ice machine was not working. Seems more attention to detail is needed by the management

Older motel but has been updated. A good place to stay for a few days. Kitchen and bar area were not open during our stay but the staff was helpful and room was clean. Take away breakfast instead of a sit down but food was good. No issues of any kind. Would definitely stay again but hope kitchen and bar would be open. Patio looked nice but could not go in.(social distancing in place)

incredibly overrated. This place is a Motel 6 that got bought by a hipster investment group who branded it to the gills, stuck some ikea furniture in the rooms, and now charge twice what it's worth. There is literally nothing special about this place other than the location, which *is* convenient. The rooms are tiny, not even enough room for a chair in the double bed rooms. Also, only hotel I've ever stayed at (I've stayed in MANY) that advertises a price, but then adds $15/per night for wifi and parking.

We had a fabulous stay. Check in nice folks....The room are updated in a refreshing young vibe and clean. Very cute.
Bathroom very small but gets the job done. Vinyl wood floors- more sanitary than carpet.
Pillows very new and firm uncomfortable, but hey, I won t hold that against them after some of the other nasty places we have stayed this week I can deal with that, they ll break in.
Breakfast was fabulous! Really good omelette, hash browns, make your own Greek yogurt with coconut, dried cherries, nuts, raisins, honey, brown sugar etc. etc. steel cut oatmeal with all the fixings too! Gluten free breads bran muffins, fruits waffles the list goes on.
The social bar area had live music, we really enjoyed it. Close to down town shops.
If I were ever back in this area I d stay again and again. 4.8 stars for me....

Clean room with nice decor, friendly staff, good coffee and breakfast.

The bed was too soft for us, but otherwise it was fine. The location is ideal and there is a nice area to eat outside under the sun and trees.

No complaints about anything. Breakfast was good, made myself waffles. The room was clean and water pressure in the shower was amazing. The restaurant inside Sage Inn (Derailed) has a good happy hour. Wifi in room.

I arrived 3:15 pm, young woman upgraded to a suite out of the blue. Room was older musky smelling
I requested a renovated room (205) was told it was'nt available. They approved room 207 after at least 15minutes. 6:15 pm left to Tig No taro show Lensic. 8:40 pm returned room 205 curtains open, clean, unoccupied. Why was I not allowed to have it? Felt deliberately denied this room. The hotel was half empty. I will contact manager.

I enjoyed a very nice stay at Santa Fe Sage Inn. This quaint property is located right in the heart of Santa Fe with a multi-building layout providing a peaceful and quite environment while keeping the convienience of location. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. In the lobby building you will also find a free fresh breakfast in the morning. Also, there is an attached bar but I didn't have the chance to check it out. There is an outdoor pool with a nice patio are for taking a dip or simply lounging on the property and a workout room with a selection of weights, an elliptical trainer, and treadmill that was well maintained. From the Sage Inn one could easily walk to the square but I also believe they have a shuttle service. The room itself was laid out like a standard hotel room but the decor was very cozy and southwestern. The king sized bed in mine was particularly comfortable. So much so that I opted for going to sleep early rather than watching tv on the large flat screen in the room. All in all, the Sage Inn was a great place for my overnight to Santa Fe.

Very decent hotel with helpful staff and a shuttle bus into the historic district. I recommend using the shuttle bus after dark, as Santa Fe is very dark at night. This makes the short walk to the historic district a bit spooky.

Very clean and awesome amenities in the room (mini fridge, entertainment tablet, Keurig) Fantastic location as well, walking distance from whole foods, and railyard (and even the plaza if you don't mind walking ~1 mile).

Maybe best of all, PET FRIENDLY + wood floors. Extra charge is only $15.

Overall very happy with our stay, will certainly be staying here again in the future.

This is one of the best places to stay centrally located, great Rooms, Their Staff and Pool are awesome.
Pet friendly with a local park just behind them.
A free breakfast everyday... and on the weekends the food rivals most breakfast restaurants.
They don't offer room service.. but it's an easy walk to pick up food offered from their menu for a called in sandwich or snack. Their bar is fun they have outdoor patio.
Social get together spots for large groups or small
I'll be back whenever I go to Santa Fe!

Well. Cheap. Kind. Not far from the center. Price performance top especially after distance to the center the cheapest. Breakfast is ok, you can eat. The coffee is really good. Evenings with bar, is nice to sit outside. Have delicious food and a friendly service.

Doable for one night. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were like straw. Great breakfast buffet with fresh food. The one night they had music it was good and fun, all other nights were missing in action. Something happened to the water pressure once you turned the shower on and step back cuz flushing or using the sink hogs the cold water. The rooms were "just remodeled " but someone forgot to include a comfortable reading chair, bedside lamps, a microwave, a rug to wipe your feet, a place for toiletries or any clothing that's not hung. There are 145 rooms with a pool that holds 22. Like I said, for one night it's doable, just not where I would stay for more than that.

My daughters n lil cousins grad party was here and it was great the catering was perfect and the bar was amazing . They also had a DJ I'm not sure if he was part of the venue but that was great too. Thank you for the hospitality.. everything was cleaned up as soon as it looked like it wasn't being used .. I would totally rent out this venue again

Nice staff, vending, laundry, Kcup coffee from dunkin's, hot water good, parks and open areas next door to Whole foods, no microwave in room with King size bed. Nice place, decent breakfast burritos to go with chilli's in cups, during pandemic breakfast service, coffee, lots of extras.

Very clean, well located, breakfast is fresh eggs, good sausage or bacon, fresh green chille! Most rooms are newly renovated and modernized with tablet entertainment and TV.

I stay here every time I visit from a Michigan. The bar and grille is excellent with fresh southwestern food and some nights live music.

This hotel was a lovely stay for two nights in Santa Fe. The room was a good size, the bed was huge and all very clean and quiet. They run a shuttle to the plaza at the top of the hour - even though it s only a 20 minute walk if you fancy it - and will arrange a pick up if you call them when you re ready! The included breakfast was also good including a breakfast burrito station which had a small surcharge of $5.

Awesome. So grateful to find a safe, clean place to stay within walking distance of the Plaza. As a woman, safety is a big concern for me when traveling, and I'm happy to report I think it is for them, too. shout out to Larry, the manager, who even knew the artist featured on the lobby walls.

This is a private motel-style property. It's definitely an older set of buildings but it has been renovated nicely. It's quaint and clean but nothing special. I can't complain about much here. The king mattress that we slept on was in need More

The hotel is very clean, the breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was the $15.00 resort fee on top of the room fee. I failed to read the fine print and missed the $15.00 up charge. Come on guys, just tell the customer the price of the room will be $15.00 more than what is listed on the website. They won't remember what you did, they won't remember what you said but they will remember how you made them feel and I felt I was mislead regarding the price of the room!

Lovely! We travel with dogs and this was definitely one of the nicer Inns we have visited. Clean and modern room, park nearby for the dogs, and the hot breakfast was great. They have wonderful staff and lots of entertainment!

The service we experienced was great. Other than that everything else was decent but not more than that. The bed was okay (you would like it if you like really soft beds), the bathroom was small, and then tv was kind 9f spotty. But the service was excellent and we really enjoyed the location. Okay for the money.

Okay experience. Older accommodations that show their age. Very affordable and great location for a family for two reasons: continental breakfast included in price and right across street from rail yard park with great playground area. $5 charge per night for parking.

The Sage Inn is such a gem!!! I am so so impressed with the rooms. It does not smell like a hotel. It smells new. Very clean and modern. The photos are accurate. Great location. I will be staying here from now on whenever i come to Santa Fe.

Sage Inn once again a good experience. Masks on, breakfast is "to go" breakfast burritos, fruit, yogurt, coffee. Rooms are cleaned, things like remotes are bagged. Service is call in if you need something, longer stays get a full clean during the week but other than that they are minimizing room entrance

If you are looking for a run down, grungy, poorly ...

If you are looking for a run down, grungy, poorly managed property then the Santa Fe Sage Inn is the place for you. First off when we arrived, we were put into a room that was reasonably updated. This situation fitted what I thought our room would be as our reservation specifically stated, "Room Type: Cozy Contemporary Southwest Guest Rooms with Upgraded Furniture Package and Refrigerator". After we were settled, I discovered that the water to the toilet and the sink was turned off. I turned both on. Unfortunately, when I turned the water on below the sink the faucet didn't work, and the water would not turn off.

So, we let the office know. They were unable to fix the plumbing and moved us to a very old, dingy, somewhat smelly, and very worn room. Beat up furniture, dirty carpet, and tiny low toilet with a loose seat. Definitely not "Contemporary, Upgraded Furniture" type of room. We stayed that night in that room and asked to be moved the next day.
After having to explaining to the front desk clerk twice what our issue was, we were then moved to a room that was identical to our second room albeit somewhat less worn and dirty. Just a little bit better. But we did still have the loose toilet seat and a subtle hint of musty cigarette smoke.

The Santa Fe Sage Inn is simply a run-down property. It's depressingly grim. There are so many other fantastic properties in Santa Fe that you should give the Santa Fe Sage Inn a very wide birth. It's nasty with accompanying poor service.

Request a room by the pool. They heat their outdoor pool to 86 degrees in the winter, it is very enjoyable even in 20 degrees weather!! The rooms are clean and restaurant is good. Docked one star because we had an older room heater without a thermostat, so we had to get up a few times during the night to adjust it and keep the room at a comfortable temperature--first world problems.

My husband and I were in town for the opera and stayed two nights. The rooms were very cute and clean. They have a shuttle that was very handy. The young lady, Endira, who checked us in and out! was probably the best hotel person we have encountered. She was friendly and helpful, we wish everyone was as nice as she was, she made our stay so much better. There was another lady who was not as pleasant, Monica, I believe, she should not work in hospitality. Overall great place to stay!

Okay cheap hotel.

Okay cheap hotel.
Pros : the rooms are fine.
Cons: the included breakfast is not that good. Everyone who goes to the bar takes up all the parking space.

Checking was a chaos. Parking is a nightmare had to circle 3 times before finding a spot who fit a Truck. Room id clean. Bathroom is tiny and the Toilet even smaller. Breakfast if that what they call it was horrible. Orange juice wad water. The waffle maker dirty. Had coffee and Hubby had muffin. This place wasn't worth the charge of $129.oo a night.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at the Sage Inn we enjoyed the hot breakfast and shuttle to downtown, thanks to Daniel and Johnny who helped with a small problem in the room , everything turned out great . See you next visit to Santa Fe.

A wonderful and reasonably priced hotel! For only $100 (as of this post) me and my friend were able to stay in a wonderful room with a fantastic air conditioner! The service and the breakfast bags were better than any we had in the four states we visited on our road trip as well.

Place was pretty good value for Santa Fe. The staff was very nice and helpful. They have a free shuttle service to the Plaza which was very convenient. The rooms where a bit small and outdated in someways. AC was a bit loud and was running for a while and then of for a while. But I guess you get what you pay for in some way.
Free breakfast was included but was the standard American hotel / motel stuff. It was OK. Their bar / restaurant (Derailed) was pretty nice though and had nice happy hour prices!

Sage Inn was decent for the price we paid. Relatively close to cute little stores - close enough to walk on warmer days - and the farmer's market and restaurants. The hotel has a bar and restaurant as well. Breakfast is served, but mainly carbs - waffles, bagels, toast and muffins. On the weekends you can buy a $5 omelette. I was surprised at how expansive this place was since it was reviewed as a "boutique" type hotel. There are multiple buildings of motel rooms, almost like an apartment complex. The roooms are pretty small. They are cutely decorated, but starting to age.

Our client James Grey is a touring musician who recently stayed here while performing in Santa Fe and had a great night! The property is very nice, and the rooms are clean and quiet which is a great after a long night of crowds. There is a really nice area to relax outside, and a free breakfast in the morning! If you're able to stay longer than a night, the hotel offers a free shuttle in to downtown. We can't wait to stay with you again!

I'm usually pretty generous reviewing hotels, but need to be honest.
It was nothing more than an expensive glorified motor hotel (think motel 8) that charges a resort fee. TV with digital slurred channels, broken toilet, grounds unkempt, noises from the room upstairs, had to park away from room, etc. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for a hotel that actually is a resort. Not sure why, but as I look at my credit card statement there is an additional charge for $4.50 that I know nothing about. Never again!

This is a decent budget motel that is dressed up with nice amenities and kept clean. I really liked it. With all of the high priced options in Santa Fe, this near downtown location is well priced and perfect if you plan on walking back and fourth from the train station area to the downtown area. They have a great little breakfast here, and the pool is pretty nice. I would recommend this spot for sure.
