Comfortable rooms with a nice surrounding property! Near downtown for all your drinking and dining needs. Breakfast was good with the option of adding an omelet or breakfast burrito made to order!

We checked in and signed with an agreement of less than 70 dollars with military discount, including taxes. Furthermore, we were told breakfast, wifi, and lobby computers usage were complementaries. However, upon checking out we were scammed of a total of $95.80. They revoked the military discount and added additional bs fees. It was insulting and sad to listen to their bs excuses that "hotel complementary" wifi and breakfast is $15; didn't give reason(s) why military discount wasn't applied.
Dear Management - Please fix your wifi! Contact your ISP and/or upgrade your wifi access points. Will not stay here again unless this is fixed. I recommend Meraki.
The staff was great. The restaurant was delicious. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The in room entertainment pads were fantastic. Loved the functionality not to mention the inclusion of entertainment options like Netflix. The price of the room couldnt be better. We have recommended this hotel to everyone we know.
Love the location! Walked to Whole Foods, Farmers Market, and the Plaza. Enjoyed a great sandwich,(with GF bread) salad, and margarita at the motel's Derailed Restaurant. Liked the area around the motel with a pool and tables in shady areas.
The worst hotel we stayed at in Santa Fe. There's a high-turnover cheapness to everything. The rooms are concrete boxes with no amenities. Front desk staff are rude. The breakfast is haphazardly laid out so you have to navigate around all of the other confused and tired patrons. Paper plates and cups. There is a hidden $15 "resort fee" for some reason. Utilitarian and soulless.
I would highly recommend this hotel ... Comfortable and Clean room, comfortable huge beds & pillow , and a great complimentary breakfast. What an experience for the affordable cheap price. Great location too -- so close to the center of Santa Fe, and right next door to the Whole Foods store in town.
Great staff and location. Really liked the breakfast. The house margaritas in the bar are very good and it's a chill little area where you can catch a football game in the afternoon and some live music on the patio in the evening.
So we got to our room and opened the mini fridge and found 2 plates of someone's wroten spaghetti. The room stunk really bad. Called the front desk to get a new room and they said the nest they could do was replace the mini fridge when ever the maintenance guy got back. Bs.
It s obvious this place was an old motel that they put a LITTLE money into to look fancier. My first room had the tiniest bathroom imaginable, with a literal hole cut into the bathroom door so it could just barely clear the toilet when opening/closing. I initially was placed on the first floor, and had upstairs neighbors that checked in at 11:30pm and partied all night. The way this place was built, I could hear every time they moved around their room, which was until 9am. I will say the front desk felt bad and moved me to a different room at least my second night.
The WiFi is laughable, and I had to hotspot from my phone to be able to do any work. Also the Free WiFi and Free Breakfast you see on Google for this place is a lie. They will charge you an extra $15/day for these services.
Good clean rooms, a little small but big enough for two adults and two toddlers. Quiet and soundproof. Breakfast was quick and easy. The TV reception was very static and seemed to be analog but had lots of channels. Reception was fast easy and friendly. We were able to do quick checkout and just leave keys in room and leave.
I was here for one night due to my place getting some work done that didn t allow me to stay in for a few days. I decided to stay here at the Sage inn. The front desk staff were all very nice. When I got to my room, I had asked for a king bed, but I got two doubles.. not a huge deal but, I wanted a king. The room seemed to be updated and in good shape. I finally got into bed for the night around 1130 pm.. once the tv was off, then I could hear everything going on in the rooms next to me and the sound of traffic was awful. I guess this is the place people go to have parties in their Rooms, because that was what exactly what was going on. I was up all night long hearing people yelling, going in and out of their rooms. It was a nightmare of a stay. I will never stay hear again. The hotels with outdoor entry are loud, and at 100 dollars plus per night, it was not good. Never again !!
Very helpful and supportive front staff. At arrival, I was greeted and check in was a breeze. We went to our room and notice that there wasn t two queen beds as I booked. I was moved because the room I was booked in had a water leak. The new room had a king size bed and a couch bed.
The couch bed was broken, so I went to inquire and was provided with a option: to be moved to a temporary one night two bed room. We took it.
The next morning, we went to have breakfast and drop off our bag and was told by the front staff and day manager that we could in fact stay in the current room for our stay. Problem solved!
As for location, Whole Foods is a few blocks away. REI is a 10 minute walk and a few restaurants nearby. Free van shuttle to the Plaza every hour.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very small and need attention to plumbing. Neither our sink or tub drained properly. Free shuttle to Santa Fe Plaza.
Room was clean, close to downtown, right next to a park, right next to Whole Foods, staff friendly/helpful, shuttle to square and dog friendly. But rooms are small/dated, ice machine was broken, hot water ran out and noise from other rooms/plumbing.
Very old motel. Poorly maintained. I had to wipe up swarms of ants on the bathroom floor at night and our building lost water at 4am on the last day of our stay. The hotel desk attendant said, "Well, no one else has reported this. Besides, there's nothing we can do about it right now." No apologies for the inconvenience, no offer to move us to a different room. I guess the problem was finally worth dealing with when the rest of the guests woke up in the morning. Don't stay here. It's not worth the inconvenience.
Beautiful set up, friendly service. Looks to be a renovated motor lodge with boutique hotel touches. Got a great night's sleep and is very close to downtown.
Friendly staff and nice clean room. Easy check in and out; fresh free breakfast; on site bar and grill had delicious generous plate portions and a variety of beers; within walking distance of Railrunner depot. Will definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here many times. However, we were quite disappointed this time. We were given a room in a dark hallway. The bathrooms were a bit nasty. I just expected more for a $200 a night price tag. Location is ok. We purchased a suite. Honestly, Best western is a nicer place to stay or the lodge at Santa Fe is priced about the same and is much nicer with FABULOUS VIEWS. The Sage is not within walking distance of the Plaza. The Sage is not what is advertised on the website.
Great place for family and pet. Breakfast is good and they do lunch and dinner and small bar. Very clean and a park with plenty of room and grass. Great location in town.
My room was remodeled and very nice, the bed was super comfortable, good amenities, very clean, spacious and wood floor! The cafe/bar has delicious food, I tried the angus burger cooked perfect and was awesome!!! They even have wershestire sauce! The service 5 star! Live entertainment daily, good comfortable place to stay.
The location was very good, the public rooms nice, the staff friendly and for the price: A great deal! It was our second stay at this property through Priceline.
Breakfast was pretty good. Rooms were clean. Happy hour at the bar was fun. Shuttle to downtown was great. Staff was very nice. Laid back atmosphere. Walking distance to railway park and Farmers Market. Definitely return.
Immediately to the right inside the lobby, there was a restaurant with a full bar and live music! Immediately out the back entrance/exit, there was a small, quiet, beautiful city park. The room was spotless, the king size bed was soft and plush, and we loved the quality of the provided soap. The food and drink at the restaurant was delicious (we recommend the bowls). The provided coffee was exceptionally delicious, they even sell bags of grounds and we bought two! The included breakfast was one of the best we've ever had, including greek yogurt with a toppings bar of nuts, dried fruit, and cinnamon, oatmeal, english muffins, sourdough bread, homemade bran muffins and salsa. The staff was extremely helpful to accommodate our travel trailer, allowing us to park it in a separate spot and leave it in the safety of their lot while we drove around.
I'd go for snacks, as the menu is mostly food I'm interested in. The drink menu, on the other hand, is well fleshed out and solid. Perfect for hanging out.
what a rip off!!!!!! It is not an Inn is a glorified motel w/ a glorified front room. They claim to be all green and organic, but the breakfast is nothing bat cardboard waffles cheap syrup along w/ bad coffee and discount boxed muffins. it is not within walking distance of the main square and to feet away would not qualify for beeing a downtown hotel!!!The rooms are small the beds are ok, but you get all the noise from the traffic in front of your room!!! If only they send the money in the breakfast food and make organic and fresh it would be easy to forget the other complains. The funny thing is that Whole Foods is just next door and have great baguettes and wonderful pastries.
We were supposed to stay one night but made it three nights. Wonderful stay here and what a beautiful cozy fresh room. You don't always have to lie on the bed a nice chair in the room. Walking distance to the center. And from the hotel you have quite a few sights by car within two hours You can eat deliciously in the city, but we had dinner here two evenings, surprisingly tasty with a cocktail you are close to your room or a dip in the heated swimming pool. Friendly staff
I absolutely loved the stay here. Clean and friendly service. Not to mention the best coffee I've had in a while. Theres also a free shuttle that takes you into downtown.
We first found the Sage Inn from Groupon. We wanted to have a nice vacation away and Santa Fe was on our list of places to go. So, we purchased the Groupon and couldn t have been happier. The room was clean, the breakfast was awesome, and most importantly we were VERY close to the downtown area. We drove and had our own car, but the Sage Inn provides a van every hour, on the hour, to take you to and from the down town area if that would work better.
We decided to return to Santa Fe recently, so we didn t even think to look at other hotels. The Sage Inn was our first, and only, choice for the trip. Again, the room was clean and the breakfast was awesome.
The location really is perfect. Very close to the downtown area for shopping, a few minutes drive to several hiking spots. Why would you spend more money at other places when you can get it all at the Sage Inn? A nice independent hotel that really wants to cater to their client instead of a giant hotel chain where you are just a number.
Overall great experience. Room was nicely decoeated. Shower was clean but didn't work perfect. Needs more electric outlets to plug in chargers. Good food and entertainment.
This is an expensive motel that is noisy, with a disgusting bathroom, and not in a very good location. Weird people hanging out in the parking lot. Pool is tiny.
Service is excellent , located in a not to busy part of downtown Santa Fe in a quite neighbornood but very close to all downtown amenities . The old style of the place is very welcoming and classy.
What a great find. Was greeted by Donny very nice when you walk into a lobby. He was friendly and accommodating, gave us the complete run down of the hotel and a great quiet spot in the back with plenty of parking for our large truck. The More
I've stayed at a number of hotels in Santa Fe and have had the worst hotel stories afterwords. Santa Fe Sage inn is different. No issues. Mattresses had encasements which I found odd but no signs of creepy crawlies. Dog friendly and no carpet to worry about! I arrived late and left early so didn't get to enjoy cocktails or breakfast. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Santa Fe
I stayed here for a long weekend over Christmas and it was a mixed bag. The hotel restaurant was good, the rooms were small, but clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable. The place is older, so there is some wear and tear. I strongly recommend getting a room on the second floor. I could hear everything overhead from the first floor. We switched rooms because of the noise and there was a mix up with our reservation, so the hotel turned our keys off halfway through the visit and I had to get new ones in the lobby.
Had a great time with friends and family , we will definitely be returning . A special thanks to Johnny in maintenance came out and fixed our TV and helped with our luggage .see you all again next trip
The location and rate are great. The amenities are all closed which is understandable. The room was clean and has a cute simple southwestern style. If you get the option, stay on the second floor. Walls are paper thin and we could literally feel every step taken above us. Neighbors were up till 3:30 am so we didn t get much sleep. Overall ok stay if it s just one night.
The hotel, although clean, is a bit run down and dated. The staff was friendly. A good place to stay for a night but do yourself a favor and stay someplace nicer for an extended stay in Santa Fe.
Super cheap and pretty well located. Staff was very friendly and it's walkable to the plaza; they offer a free shuttle if that's your thing. The bar has a good margarita and staff is friendly. It's not super fancy, but a good place to stay for the money.
