Breakfast was ok. So there is my something nice, otherwise, the staff are rude and offputting. The room wasn't great and the walls were paper thin. I could hear the TV perfectly from the next room and every time the person upstairs went to the bathroom. I was woken up at 5 in the morning to someone scraping their car window. Obviously none of that is any of the guests fault. It's just a cheap building, hotel. It reminds me of the saying, putting lipstick on a pig. If you want location, motel6 is across the street and it's honestly the same experience. If you want somewhere nice or fancy, spend a little more to go somewhere nice.

Women at front desk had one two many glasses of wine. While checking us in she weaved around and had very disjointed conversations. She took a personal call, that lasted a long time, and sent a business call to VM. The rooms are very clean. Walls are paper thin......I have always wanted to stay here....not again. Just can not believe the front desk person

We booked a disabled access room 4 weeks ahead. We've confirmed our reservation a day before arrivel. When we got to the hotel there was not any room avalable for us and no assistance to find another place was ofered, and no compensation even no appology.

Stayed one night on a road trip back to Texas and loved it! Super clean and modern, renovated rooms and Phil at the front desk was so accommodating! The breakfast was great and the lobby with the bar is perfect if you want to just stay around and have a couple of drinks. I would stay here again.

On two separate stays now I have been underwhelmed by the front desk staff. They seem exceptionally disgruntled and are often surly. My rooms have always been commiserate with the cost. However this time I found hairs on the top of my bedding that were not my own and there was small gravel on the floor and trash that had not been removed for my room. I suspect that management does not care about their employees and as such their attitude towards the property is reflected in the care given to the property's management. It is a shame because it's a nice place and has often been a convenient location for me to stay when traveling to Santa Fe from Albuquerque

Read your reservation email closely. There is the only place that you will be informed of their 72 hour cancellation policy. They are charging me the total cost of my reservation, even if they rent it out to someone else. I have stayed at the Sage Inn several time in the past, but I will no longer frequent their establishment.

It was alright. We went to participate in the Santa Fe Margarita Trail, but the Margarita was mediocre, our bartender was very slow (caught up in chatting up a friend at the bar, it was a slow night but our drinks barely arrived before the food which we had ordered several minutes after the drinks). Seems like it could be a fun place on Thursdays or Saturdays when they have live music, but when we went the food was okay, drinks bland, and service slow.

It is a nice place, room is a good size, beds were comfortable. Would be nice to have additional outlets. And our shower seemed to only have burning hot or ice cold. The pool was ok, there never seems to be pool towels so remember to take some from your room. The food was pretty bland and nothing exceptional. The margaritas were not that great either. Worth a 10 min drive to any of the other restaurants around town.

Wonderful place with wonderful people! I started out a little irritated when I first got there because priceline had booked an extra room ( I thought it was the hotel's fault) and everything was a little confusing. I ended up apologizing to the manager Steven for my rude attitude and he handled everything so professionally! It was my birthday and he even gave me a little present! I will definitely go back here! Steven was above and beyond accommodating and friendly! If you want a nice hotel in a good location with wonderful service I highly recommend Santa Fe Sage Inn! Plus they make really good omelets!

Nice comfortable hotel with a cool lobby, pretty good breakfast and a lounge area with a bar and patio that is great to hang out in. Well located, not too far out of the central square area, close to good restaurants, stores, and activities and they have a shuttle that drops you at the square once per hour. Rooms are smallish but a family of four works just fine in them.

This is a beautiful little nest egg, tucked away in Santa Fe, and very close to downtown. Thursday night is karaoke night which begins at 7pm, but it's better to get there around 6:30 to insure you get a seat. The atmosphere is casual and fun, the food is reasonably priced and very tasty. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Great service!! Good price!! Best included breakfast we've ever had!! I love the park right next door to walk my dog( yep it's a great pet friendly choice too!!) And The Social Kitchen & Bar is a place I would hang out at at home! It's the second time we have stayed and I would do it again!!!!

It took 50 minutes for a plate of nachos for me and my son. We were offered no refills or even asked if I would like another cocktail. The nachos were bland, skimpy, and smaller than all the other nachos that were delivered to tables around us. On my way to fast food joint because we are still hungry. P.s. the sour cream poured out of the little cup like whole milk and the salsa was tomatoes from a blender.

Great service, clean room. You can tell it is an older hotel that's been renovated, and it's pretty great! Comfortable beds, TV, good showers... Nice n hot with good water pressure. The bar on site was popping when we were there! We would stay here again, for sure.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while attending two performances at the Santa Fe Opera. The staff was, for the most part, very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of options and staff was constantly replacing fresh food and coffee. The pool was in good condition and heated to perfection. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job cleaning up the room and replacing used toiletries, which I normally have to request in other places. The room was decorated in a typical Santa Fe, Southwestern style. A great find for a decent price! If you see our friend, the sleeping bat, please leave him be. He won't bother you.

This is a very nice hotel for the price. The location is great. The room was small but quite nice. Free breakfast was above average. Front desk host was very helpful and friendly. No negatives at all.

I love the Sage Inn. I've stayed there 4 or 5 times now. The location is superb. The shuttle to the plaza every hour is wonderful. The breakfasts are great. The decor is really nice. The staff is very nice and professional. They even have an on-site laundry. I love to go to Whole Foods, next door. Or, you can cross the street and be in a pretty park and just beyond that is the Railyard district, with shops and restaurants (Tomasita's is very nice) and the train station. For comfort and convenience, you cannot beat the Sage Inn.

Excellent value, great location, shuttle to the Plaza, close to the Railyard, easy walk to Tomasita's or 2nd Street Brewery, pet friendly, what's not to like! Well, maybe the room is a bit small...but you are not in Santa Fe to hang in the room.
The front desk staff was typical for people who have to deal with a steady turnover of tourists, give them some slack and a smile. There is a cozy bar for cocktails, and topped off by a great buffet breakfast in the morning. Almost forgot the very good Pinon coffee! Ask for a second floor room, will be quieter, if you can handle stairs.

My wife and I stayed in the Sage Inn mid March 2019. On the plus side, the facilities looked reasonably well looked after, the room was nicely appointed, and the breakfast was a cut above your standard issue travel hotel. The location isn't quite close enough to the historic area to classify as 'in town', although they offer a shuttle which we did not use.

I don't usually write negative comments, but I feel a sense of responsibility in this case. I could easily hear the clunking around of people in the room above us, and the conversations of people just outside... at 6 am.

The most annoying thing about our stay was this -- we were shocked to discover an additional $15 per day fee tacked onto our bill. When I called to inquire about it, I was told it's standard practice to charge a 'facilities' fee, and that it was clearly marked on the paper I signed... and that the clerk surely had pointed it out. Well, I can say he surely didn't, even after I confirmed the rate and that the rate included breakfast.

I wonder if standard practice includes misleading the customer by omission...

This property went above and beyond to assist us. It's so rare to experience this type of customer service especially from Brian who was the manager on duty. You can not beat this deal for the price. Great food and atmosphere at Social along with an eclectic array of music. Surprisingly good breakfast buffet as well. I will stay here again.

Bathrooms are not the best, which made the room seem overpriced, but accommodations were good besides that. Front desk employees ranged between helpful and friendly to completely uncaring. Music was much too loud from the on site bar.

Nice little place with friendly people working the desk, they knew about santa fe and were accommodating, on the outside it dosent look like much but the room was clean and ready for us, even came with an in room tablet, breakfast was great although crowded the bar was nice (free drink tickets) and free parking to top it off, overall nice and clean and just down the street from the plaza

The hotel is an older place. Looks like they have worked hard to renovate rooms. We stayed in two types of room. The first night was a standard with 2 queens...room was very small, but clean. Second and third nights we stayed in the suite, which was very spacious and clean.

I liked the location very much, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did have trouble with our room keys a few times, and the room was a bit swampy because we were right above the guest laundry. I would recommend requesting a room not in that area. We did enjoy the park and farmers market nearby.

The hotel was wonderfully located. Just walking distance from the farmers market, coffee shops and breweries. The rooms were also lovely. They were pretty standard hotel rooms but we're comfy, clean and well taken care of.

Excellent service. The staff's attention is excellent, always with a smile and willingness to give the best service. The hotel is very good for the price and the breakfast serves to spend the day. Highly recommended for a quick visit to the ski center

We found this to be excellent! Staff Donny & Philip greet you w/kindness, helpfulness & humor..very personable. Michelle Trujillo in the bar did it all. She waits on you, is your bartender, waitress & server all in one. And w/a smile, no matter how busy she is. You get a free drink. Dinner was affordable & delish! The room was very clean & comfortable..
will definitely stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff. Courtesy bus to town center and other spots. Clean and southwestern-style decorated rooms. Now has a restaurant on site as well as a Whole Foods grocery next door.

2019 update - Taken over by different management in 2018. Still a nice place in town but their prices have gone up so not quite as 'special' as it used to be.

Average rooms , we had water pouring into our toilet & shower from floor above had to put towel down to stop water going else where, told them about it on checking out & was told been having problem with pipe for a week HELLOOOO

I stumbled onto this hotel through a Priceline deal. It was listed as a 3 start hotel. After paying through Priceline, I arrived at check-in and was told I would be charged an addition $15/night "facilities fee" that had no opt out option. ANY establishment that feels the need to SCAM guests into paying additional money like this automatically gets zero respect in my book. Furthermore, Priceline was far from forthcoming about this additional charge (even though they told me it was listed in the contract somewhere) so I do not plan on doing business with them again either. Because of this, I am automatically giving this stay one star.

As far as the rest of my experience...

I felt like I was interrupting a gossip conversation between two staff members when I arrived at check-in. The greeting was cold and mechanical. This was my only interaction with the motel staff.

The shower drain was clogged and the AC cover fell off the second I touched it. The room was extremely cramped with over-sized furniture and didn't even allow a good spot to place a suitcase.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The hot breakfast was about what you would get at Hampton or Holiday Inn Express albeit with slightly less variety. Parking and navigation to the building/room was a bit confusing. Overall location of the motel was good in proximity to common points of interest in Santa Fe.

Upon arrival I hoped our room would be nice and quit. It was nothing more then 175 square feet of to much furniture and dirty everything. Mold in the shower, dirty carpet, but my favorite was the night stand between these two huge queen beds in this tiny room was packed full of dirty condoms and tissues. When we tried to call the front desk our phone did not work, Tv did not have sound, It was just a very bad expierence. We left and ended our trip at the Hilton Sata Fe. If your just coming to party and you don t care were you sleep or what you sleep in, the sage inn will fill the bill.

It was clean, a little out-dated. Housekeeping forgot to give us shampoo and gave us two conditioners which is a little annoying when you're in the shower. Great shuttle service to downtown. The free breakfast is a bit misleading. You have to pay extra if you want eggs and bacon.

I booked this room through Priceline Express Deals. VERY Disappointed! The room was dirty, mysterious stains and hairs everywhere. It smelled like a retirement home. There was no fridge in the very small room and the ice machine was broke. I burned myself on the water because it was scalding hot every time you turn it on. The toilet paper and kleenex were like sand paper. We were woken up by their golf cart that was running right outside our room. Housekeeping cleaned our room while we were in the parking lot nearly an hour and a half before we were supposed to checkout. It was old and outdated and to top it off the hotel charged me as well as Priceline and the Hotel price was cheaper. I called the night that I checked out to inform them that they had charged my card twice and the gentleman said he would call me right back, no call. Then I call the next morning and the woman says "I am so sorry I will refund that for you right now." Three days later and I still have not received a refund. I wanted to like this hotel as the bar staff and gentleman who checked us in were very friendly and it is in a great location but certainly not worth the overall experience!

Nice place to stay. It wasn t too far away from the center of town, and we easily could explore Santa Fe. The breakfast was a good and the rooms were nice. A little older looking, but great stay for the price.

Rooms are not up to par for the price and you pay a $15 "resort" tax for the WiFi and some drinks tickets. Just include it in the price folks because now it just feels like I'm being scammed. Old man working the front desk was ruuuuuuuuuuude and scowled at everyone checking in. Not a fan, won't stay again.

Very accommodating staff in a great location with rooms that fit the NM bill, all at a good price. I'd recommend getting a drink during happy hour at the bar then walking into the center of town.

The perfect hotel for a Santa Fe vacation on an average budget. The thing that impressed us most was our shuttle driver, Donnie. He drove us to The Plaza several times. Each time, he was not just a driver. He pointed out locations and gave us tips on where we should go. Because of Donnie, we saw things that were not on our itinerary and they ended up being some of the highlights of our vacation! I can't believe the price of this hotel when we could walk down the street to many locations. The hotel itself was perfect, no complaints. There was a massive, impressive breakfast included. Stay here and take advantage of the shuttle.

Highly recommended! I have stayed 7 nights between two visits to Santa Fe and i would say this is the best hotel i found in its price range. Book using a third party booming site for better price and also do it in advance as this hotel seems popular and fully booked even in off season. It is located very close to the railyard park and the station itself (obe of my favourite place at dusk) and at a walkable distance to Santa Fe center plaza. The hotel also provides a shuttle every hour to drop people at the plaza and back. Rooms were clean and breakfast is pretty basic with option of an omlette which was good but you need to pay 5 dollars extra (it was worth it for my taste).
