The room was nice and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful, the pool and deck areas wonderful. The balcony furniture is dated and not what you expect even from not the highest grade Hilton. Love the indoor pool, very relaxing, especially when you have guests that don't ignore or let their kids ignore (without any reminder to them) that you don't jump into the pool. Also wished the hot tub was from 12 years+ or so. Breakfast restaurant was much nicer before. The new one is not as inviting and cozy, a little too cool style, more like a canteen/mess hall now. The bar was nicer before as well. But love love love the outdoors, the easy access to the beach - and the easy trip over to Baytowne. Great resort. - Generally I believe that a lot of people forget that "we reap what we sow" or "what goes round, comes around". Be friendly and polite, and you will most likely be treated the same.

My wife and I just got married here this past weekend. The hospitality was great and the resort and beach were clean and and well maintained. I was able to work with Jon, Megan, and Kristi to provide a surprise firework show the night of our wedding and they were easy to work with in all other aspects of our wedding day and planning. We can t wait for our next visit and will recommend this location as a wedding destination to everyone.

I am giving a five star based on one employees willingness to go above and beyond his work duties. Mike Baird gave us a ride to the Wharf when the Tram just passed us by. The rest of the stay was sub standard. So many hidden charges. I have to pay $30 a day to work out? What hotel does not offer a free work out center. Several calls to get housekeeping to do their job. The indoor pool was closed the first two days of our stay. We called ahead since we knew it wasn't season. We were told that only one of the outside restaurants would be closed, not true. We were also told after we called the front desk that the only way to get hot water in the shower was to run the shower for 15-20 minutes, rather inconvenient. All in All, Mike, keep up the great work!!! We will not stay here next year.

Love!

The Sandestin Hilton has been a beautiful home away from home since it was built 35 years ago, so it is a place of many memories and firsts for the children in our family through the years of celebrations. It has only increased in its beauty with time and improvements, the grounds, privacy, amenities, pools, indoors, and out, spa, tennis courts, restaurants, gift shop, bars, children's activities, pet facilities, and proximity and free shuttles to Sandestin's Baytowne, entertainment center restaurants, shops, marina, golfing, give this area a relaxed, yet, simultaneously adventurous staycation feel, with a unique wide range of day and night time activities to explore, all while being on the beautiful sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico of Beautiful North West Florida's Emerald Coast. The rooms are well designed, and decorated, modern, with all the expected amenities and more, ample storage, and room, to spread out and relax. A stay at the Sandestin Hilton, with it's friendly accommodating staff, is a good place, for a good time.

Awesome hotel. Was lucky enough to get a beach front view on the 1st floor. Internet is OK for a hotel and the breakfast in the am is cool. Not sure of the prices because I had vouchers.

Rooms are extremely in need of maintenance. We had two rooms and both had issues!! Management is not interested in hearing your issues and very rude, insulting & condescending. What happened to great customer service? Hilton needs to look into the management of this hotel. Location on the beach is fabulous and the only positive to the Hiltom hotel. I would encourage another hotel for a family vacation, very disappointing & wouldn t want another family to go through what we had to endure.

Let me first start off by saying that the resort as a whole was very nice. The staff on the other hand is another story. First off, when my husband and I first got to the resort the security guard was very rude. My husband and I asked him for directions to check in and he pointed us across the street . Not to mention we told him and showed him the paperwork to Hilton. Next when we finally figured out we were actually at the right resort the first time we turned back around and the other security let us in. Now, we get to the counter to check in and the front desk clerk informs me of the resort fee which needed to be charged which was no problem due to the fact I was told this before arrival. Now my card is ran and I notice my card was ran for an additional night and the resort fee . So I ask the clerk about the charge which she stated was a pre authorization hold from my bank. So at this point I am very upset because extra money was taken off of my card I was not aware. After the entire weekend on the phone with my bank I find out during check out that the preauthorization was from the resort not my bank . So in other words the staff knew this and did not let me know. This was a honeymoon vacation which turned bad. Do not recommend.

Perfect place to spend a night before checking into our house in Seaside for the week. A resort day put us perfectly in the mood to relax and transition to vacation life on 30a. Heated pool, pool side dining and beach drink service were all fabulous!

This hotel is the ABSOLUTE WORST place to stay. The rooms are sticky and have a horrible odor, the staff is extremely rude (even to the richer clientele), housekeeping wouldn't change our sheets even when we told them they were soiled, the pools were dirty, everything is WAY overpriced, the rooms have cockroaches the size of soap bars, the beach was dirty, and when we asked to check out a day early (after staying 5 nights in this dump already) and researching their policy and giving well over 24 hours notice, the front desk straight out REFUSED to refund ANY of the 248$ for the room for the night. Our daughter (who wasn't able to come on this trip) got sick and I needed to be home with her. Unless I had the doctor send an EXCUSE (as though we are in elementary school) they wouldn't refund the money. They say that the standard Hilton policy does not apply to this hotel because they are "privately owned" but they did not provide us with this independent policy upon reservation OR check in; as though anyone who owns a Hilton hotel needs our money worse than we do...

I will NEVER stay at a Hilton resort ANYWHERE ever again.

Oh yeah, and come to find out, the only reason they wouldn't refund our money is only because it's Labor Day Weekend. It's not like the lines and lines of people trying to check in couldn't use the room. They haven't lost any money. If we caused them to turn away people, why don't they give them the room now. Cancellations occur, rooms become available, and people will stay. If they didn't turn anyone away, then how is their refund of our money related to the holiday at all???

My family and I stayed in a top end room (top floor suite) and were entirely displeased with the service, from the $3 water, to the $12 per day internet, $10 a night for parking, to having to literally beg for a packet of coffee and creamers, to having to ask to have our room cleaned properly, not once but twice we would not recommend this so called resort to anyone. It was clear that the sole objective for every person on staff was first and foremost to extract every dollar possible from the guest at their minimum of inconvenience.

The property is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is over friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. The on site restaurants were ridiculously overpriced and kinda bland
but all in all I would definitely go back

Very pricey but nice. There was no hot water in our entire tower one morning and no offer to make any sort of amends for our very large group (65+). Not sure the value was worth the price.

After staying here last year, I can say the quality of service has most certainly declined. This time around, we were met with poor customer service (not enough staff, unfriendly staff) and disorderly facilities. The room we stayed in was rundown. It needed new carpet and furniture, not to mention the low quality of the furniture (my ass sunk to the frame of the chair). There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, and I could tell the room had not had any real cleaning for awhile (just the change the sheets and clean the bathroom 30 minute deal). One of the sheets actually had a piss stain. Whoever is running this place is running it into the ground. We love Destin and previously thought this was the sure place to go.

P.S. The Melon Bomb is from us.

We have stayed here many times but this experience was horrible! It took 40 minutes to check in and when we went to check on our 3 rooms she said 2 were in pending, not even available for check in and that we would have to check in again so had to get back in line and then another 30 minutes then today unbelievable they checked my room out so back in the line for the 3rd time They can t handle multiple rooms DONT BOTHER TO RENT THE BEACH CHAIRS!!! ANYONE can put their chair in front of you as close as 6 inches and they can t make them move It s cheaper to buy a chair and put it in front of the $40 rental If you reserve row 1 well too bad because people who own their chairs put them out in front of you and you have to walk around hem to get to the water Today they stretched the free chairs so far it was a row of chairs you couldn t walk around them to get to the beach Twice we ate by the pool and got our silverware at the end of the meal. Just a miserable check in experience and miserable chair rental experience I talked to the manager and he said legally they can t do anything about the people putting their chair in front of you Then THEY SHOULD HAVE A SIGN STATING SUCH BECAUSE WHEN YOU PAY TO BE ON THE FIRST ROW IT SHOULD BE THE FIRST ROW or the 2nd row the 2nd row When I walked past someone who had a free chair and he was so close to the renewed chairs he complained that sand got on his phone and blocked walking past him with a cooler so you paid to walk twice as far as the free people to get to the water

Extremely expensive, as far as food. $13 hot dog,$8 beer,$18.95 buffet breakfast, normally we would go to Cancun Mexico and stay at a 5 star resort ALL INCLUSIVE, for less than what paid for the air and hotel.

Front desk was rude! Booked a suite for 4 and ended up getting a king bed for 4 people! I was told I needed to pay $400 to upgrade and before I could answer the guy at the service desk walked away. Drove 10 hours to be cramped up ! Never again!

Hotel has 3 great pools, beach is of course amazing. The only things I would improve upon would be the food in the restaurants and for the staff to not block the entire first row on the beach with rental chairs, leave some of the beach for those not wanting to rent chairs. Overall, a great visit!

This resort is very nice. Indoor pool is great. Hilton still needs to refine it honors program, long way to go to match Marriott. I'm a Marriott person overall, but this resort in particular is great for this time of the year

Upscale hotel right on the beach with many amenities and close to a number of local attractions, restaurants and bars. Very nice rooms. Thought pricing was equal to or average for the facility and location. We encountered no problems and enjoyed our stay.
