Good location, room was beautiful but the wifi in my room did not work.
Worth the money, great beach and location. Delicious sushie bar.
Love this place! Beautiful views of the ocean, security and serenity!
We reserved a Front Ocean view and got an obstructed view by palm trees. Called down to complain and spoke to a Jill, very rude lady
Management: Jill, one of the managers asked me to come down to the front desk area to pick up my breakfast certificates so I stopped by on our way to the beach. I guess she was busy so a nice gentleman assisted me and retrieved them for me, I counted the certificates just to confirm and noticed I was missing 2 for each day. I should have received 16 certificates (4 days x 4 guests), I only had enough for 2 guests, not 4. I pointed this out to the gentleman but he was not aware of the details and called Jill to speak with me. Jill came up to the front right side of the check in area and advised her I only received 8 certificates. She stated she offered me 2 free breakfasts each day for the inconvenience of the room type error but that our 7-year-old was free each day for breakfast (kids 10 and under are free). I said OK...but what about our 4th person? This is not what we agreed on. She lied right to my face because there was no way I would have agreed to such an offer and leave the 4th person out. I registered 4 guests for our room, why would I only accept 2 breakfast vouchers? Jill very rudely kept repeating to me, that is what we agreed on when I called downstairs. I took the vouchers and said I d be right back with my wife and she will talk to you. My wife was PO, we waited about 10 minutes for the main manager to come out and after all that, Jill comes back out. My wife was not having it and told her we were not speaking to Jill and needed the hotel manager. After a few more minutes, we meet and start speaking with Kelcie Faulk-she seemed a lot nicer and more friendly than her co-worker Jill. We explained the entire situation to Kelcie and she said to give her a minute to sort things out and she would try and make it right (their slogan by the way). After a few minutes, Kelcie came back and apologized for everything but that she could only do 12 vouchers this time which would now cover our 12-year-old but would only now cover 3 days instead of 4. We are still livid at this point because they did not put us in the correct room type to begin with and were now going back on their promise to offer breakfast for all 4 of us for our entire stay. After a few more minutes of explaining ourselves and how we drove all this way and chose to stay at this property based on what family and friends said about it, bottom line that was our final offer. We were tired of arguing and just wanted to get on the beach and finally start enjoying our vacation. Kelcie was very nice and showed compassion towards our situation unlike Jill but I guess her hands were tied after that final offer. We took our vouchers but did let Kelcie know we intended to make a formal complaint against Hilton and Jill. *There is more to these vouchers in the breakfast section.
Breakfast: All you hear from this hotel staff is I am sorry about this and sorry about that Everywhere you go, they are constantly apologizing for something-not a good sign. Therefore, I am assuming they give everyone who complains and has issues, breakfast vouchers. I d say about 90% of the breakfast guests pay with these vouchers-you can t miss them, they are bright blue and say compliments on them. So, in the end, we didn t feel valued or received the accurate value for the room discrepancy since seems everyone got these vouchers. Get down there very early or right as they are about to stop serving breakfast because they get slammed. On our last breakfast there, we waited about 45 minutes but that was because the host screwed up and skipped over our name. I had to go up there and point out that 2 parties of 4 had gone before us when we were there before them. Our waitress was also nonexistent and not very friendly. She brought our drink orders and never saw her again until we asked for a manager about our drink refills, suddenly, she appears from nowhere. Aside from the beach, the breakfast food was the only good thing here. NEVER EVER coming back here
This place has so many friendly people and good staff there.
Larger than life, this resort stands right before the beach. Upon entering you'll soon smell their delicious buffet. Beware though, they don't allow motorcycles beyond the guard shack
Arrived Sunday for two nights stay. Approx $400 per night Arranged at check-in to add 1 additional night at same rate.
Called guest services first morning at 1045 am. Let them know we were leaving room for the day and to clean room and leave extra towels. Guest services said they would notify housekeeping. Made sure the "do not disturb" sign was not on the door and went sightseeing.
Returned 530 pm to find nothing had been done to clean room or make beds.
Spoke to front desk (Lenka} and asked policy if wanted to cancel the extra day and check out Tuesday. I was told there is early checkout fee but she would wave if we wanted to leave next morning. So we cancelled the extra day and leaving tomorrow morning. Their loss!
Great place for night life beautiful landscapes and tons of golf!
Stayed there specifically for the indoor pool and it was too cold to swim in it. Asked for them to turn on the heater for 3 days, if they did, it was broken.
Good rooms, friendly staff, and clean beach. Not "amazing", but worth the money.
Luxury on the beach! HSBGRS offers great experience inside and out! This hotel takes pride in its cleanliness, customer service, and presentation. With all the amenities, restaurant selections, entertainment, and pampering...I'd live here year-round if I could!
Beautiful hotel right on the ocean. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Great location right on the beach. All inclusive resort with plenty of options for food.
Most rasict experience I've ever encountered. The beach is beautiful but the hotel experience was awful
Very nice place and service! Beautiful view from room!
Great place near the beaches. Safe area with well maintained grounds. Looks in great shape. Management does everything you would eant.
This is a wonderful spa! Full of amenities. Great massage services. Quiet and peaceful. I could've stayed forever!
Went here for vacation and I will definitely be returning! It is a beautiful resort, with friendly staff, located right on the beach. Cant recommend this place enough. Seriously one of the nicest places I've ever been.
Great view of the beach and water. Helpful staff. Food good at the restaurants. Easy parking. Great clean beach.
The food is a little expensive but the resort is top notch, they have parasailing, wave runners for rental. Indoor and outdoor pools, the were great
Best place I've ever been on vacation I will go back I've stayed at the Grand Sandestin Baytowne Wharf and you can't find better
Great place for Family and friends! Great customer service!
My signature resort. It's always been my most favorite experience. The Sandestin will exceed your expectations of vacation luxury. Truly you've arrived if you're considering a stay here. Great for kids..conventions and the most excellent food...room service..yes please.
Excellent convention hotel with attentive staff, a good array of food and bar services, multiple pools and easy beach access. An enjoyable experience.
I never leave reviews BUT. If your looking for a nice hotel this is the place. Beach is nice but unless you have reserved front row chairs, that s another story. Your not allowed to sit on the edge of the beach and enjoy the water. We have second row chairs but like to sit on the beach with our feet in the water. It s not allowed here. WOW. Have been asked twice to move by the umbrella boys. There is one small section of the beach to the far left you can sit. I m here now for a week, can t wait for Sunday to get here. If we drove I would left by now but the flight isn t till Sunday to get back home. Basically overpriced hotel with the option to look out the window at the beach. First time here, will never come again.
Great accommodations and great rooms with views of the beach. Stayed here for work and spent all my free time down on the beach
The rooms were very clean. They have bunk beds in the Jr. Suites for the children. You can exit right to the beach. It is secure and quiet
I cannot tell you what a wonderful place this is. Not only Sandestin, but the Hilton Hotel. The staff there is "beyond" wonderful and I truly believe they enjoy making their guests feel right at home. It's one thing to give great service. It's another thing to really see them enjoying their work. We will be going there for years to come and to be perfectly honest with you.......I can't imagine staying anywhere else!
The best beach experience. Beautiful scenery and all the restaurants and shopping in close proximity.
It was my nieces wedding and reception. Everything was beautiful, food was delicious and staff was very helpful. They did a gorgeous job of decorating. I would recommend it.
It has been an excellent stay! All of the employees have been very friendly and helpful. The room is nice, and the view is good.
There are a lot of services, so many that I didn't get around to all of them!
So much to do my little princess is not ready to go.
We stay here everytime for business or pleasure. The rooms are immaculate, the restaurants are top of the line! You won't be disappointed.
This is THE place to stay! Excellent accommodations, awesome friendly staff, clean, good views, lots to do.....
The pool was great ,nice hottub ,and i had a blast at the beach ,nice bunk beds and breakfast was great i look forward to coming back ,i loved the indoor pool also
I had a blast! I would recommend this resort to anybody who is visiting the area. My son is actually there now on my recommendations.
I'll update after my wedding... We'll see how everything goes.
Location is good. Customer service was lacking. It was very damp in the hotel and smelled. There was Dan running in hallway the whole time we were there. They did keep dead fish out from in front of their location for to red tide.
The hotel has a very good atmosphere and it is directly connected to the beach. The check in process was ok and the staffs were very kind and all they services were great. The only problem I had was the breakfast. The quality was not that good. I could compare similar breakfast in other Hilton hotels where it is served as complementary but it was charged at this hotel with much higher price here. With that price, the quality should have been better. Other than this, this is a great place for family.
The hotel also provides some coupons for nearby outlet mall. One tip: if you would like to spend the most of the time at the beach, make a reservation for the beach setup that includes two chairs and an umbrella that costs $39 per day and the reservation is daily basis. Then, you will need to check in by 11:00 AM or it will be released to others. The spots are filled up very quickly so if you want to get the front row that is closest to the beach, you should act quickly. Great beach with white sand and emerald coast, great hotel, great service. Great for family vacation.
30a is a joke compared to here! Best property between Pensacola and Panama City Beach! Hands down the best and most beautiful beach access in the US! Rated number one in US and top three in the world for a reason!!!!
Restaurant "Seagars" is unbelievable, Spa is fantastic...you will just die when you see the pool/ beach deck! Beach is groomed multiple times daily, you can't find even a straw wrapper! Been to both and we will come here before Hawaii!!
So, this really is a beautiful place to atay. We are local and had a marriage conference with our church here. We stayed just over night. Everything was amazing until I discovered URINE along the floor/edge of the bathroom sink. YUCK! Lost for words. Not around the toilet. I can only think it must've been some feral, young punk vacationer that got hammered and peeed all over the bathroom floor. I'm sure it got on my feet. I'm scarred. When you pay 2-300 for a night for a room I do not want to find pee on the floor.
My family has stayed here for over 25 years. We never miss a summer staying at the Hilton. We are always there for the 4th of July celebrations and it is truly amazing and the staff is fantastic. I have also stayed there on many occasions throughout the year and have had the same experiences. This was my dad's favorite place on the planet and always made sure my siblings and our children were taken care of here. We lost him last week, and our last vacation there this past July will not ever be forgotten. We will cherish growing up here for our family vacations and hope we can continue staying there. A special thanks to Mrs. Brenda Thurmond to always making sure we had what we needed. Dad will truly miss this place, but we hope to be able to come visit often to keep his memories going for all the little kiddos we have in our family. Thank you so much HSBGR&S for all the precious memories we have from staying in your awesome hotel.
Great food, wonderful service. Ball room and event were well catered. Only complaint is that during our visit, there was an issue with our card. Instead of calling the room or calling my husband, one of the staff violated our privacy by telling my husband's commanding officer. We were happy to pay our bill, but we're still upset about the way we found out there was an issue in the first place.
Facility was excellent. Rooms were clean, pools were clean, good beach access, and the 3 on-site restaurants I visited were excellent. Had a room with a wonderful view of the gulf. Will probably stay again.
Great beach can drive to or take a Golf to if you are staying on golf course or other sections of sprawling properties.
Golf carts drive through small tunnel under Highway 94, watch for sign. Easy to miss cart turn
Rooms where nice and view was beautiful. They had bunk beds for kids which made it great if you have kids of your own
Bathroom was not clean, carpet needed vacuum. Great beach access
Absolutely loved this place. Clean, Friendly. Didn't want to leave
Check in was ridiculously slow! Only one person at reservations. After standing in line for 30 minutes with many other irritated guests, finally help arrived and expedited the check-in process. Rather disappointing and not typical of a Hilton property at all.
Beautiful Resort! On the beach! Clean rooms, comfy beds, no noise thru walls! We will definitely be back! Awesome location!
Went there for Women's conference from my church and I really enjoyed my stay there
Loving it so far. First full day just getting started.
Everyone was very nice..a little confusing on how to get around at the hotel
Took my wife her for her birthday and we absolutely loved it! It is a very nice resort and the service is excellent! The rooms are updated and the staff definitely seems to care about you enjoying your stay.
Went in November (offseason) so I wasn't impressed with the restaurants and the main one was closed, which was a bummer. But, there are plenty of surrounding restaurants and the ones we went to were really good. I will definitely be going back again!
Wonderful experience. Staff was friendly, breakfast buffet was good. Resort privacy and free shuttle to nearby shopping/restaurants.
I loved my stay at the Hilton Sandestin. Everything we needed was there on the resort grounds. Actually, everything we wanted was there in the hotel. The private beach was beautiful, and for a milder experience 4 different restaurants all near the pools. A very large balcony with a view of the beach was perfect for eating breakfast room service the next morning before a spa day on the lower level. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
Absolutely will be back! What a great experience! Never had I stayed somewhere so welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone, we absolutely were treated like royalty in our books.
Great resort. Clean large rooms w/ bunk beds. Great view! Good food. The Sushi is high grade and delicious! My daughter and I shared the Blue Fin!. The Cuban sandwich was also on point. Adrienne helped us almost every night. She is a total rockstar! If you like IPA try the "Fish Whistle" which I kept calling the "Fish Whistler" Lol! Staff was great. beaches are beautiful. White powdery sand and clear emerald blue water. Bring your snorkel! Overall great family trip and Hilton Sandestin did not disappoint! We'll be back!
GREAT VACATION SPOT WITH WONDERFUL CONDOS IN THE LUAU AREA...
I could not be more disappointed with this company. I made online reservations for my niece and her daughter to come tomorrow for a basketball clinic as a Christmas present for them. I will not be coming with them. I live in a different state than them. I called today today to make sure everything was alright with the reservation. At the last minute I am being told I cannot complete the reservation for their 5 day stay over the phone. The credit card (mine) has to be presented in person. My options are to wire the balance to the hotel or purchase Hilton "gift cards" for them. Terribly shoddy customer service and MOST inconvenient. Had I known this ridiculous policy, I could have given my niece the cash when I saw them yesterday. Today is Christmas and I cannot get anything done about this today as most businesses are closed. I also have to work tomorrow. Hopefully I can get off work in time to wire the balance to the hotel. INCREDIBLE!!!
Better take your wallet. $50 breakfasts for 2, but worth it. All you can eat, everything you could want.
