Rooms were not cleaned and building over 40 years old and cheaply updated. Rooms not insulated. Worse than a motel 6. Everything was so dirty , toilets, carpet, tub, towels, cups, etc. Hair, mold, mellow, chipped paint on walls & doors, sand all over the room. Staff not friendly, the attitude is that we are always sold out and we do not care about you. I would never stay there even for $50/ night. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. I usually do not write reviews bu we had such a bad experience that I felt I was obligated to write one.

I ordered the Philadelphia roll and I have had sushi before at other places but here when you bit into it, the cream cheese just melts on your tongue and you can taste the freshness in the salmon and each individual ingredient down to the rice everything of such quality. Great atmosphere, also got to watch the game on a huge screen and now my wife is soaking in a hot bath in some scented bath salts from the gift shop. Sit on the balcony as long as you want and hear the waves crash.

I have to say, the place is gorgeous and the staff was great. However, we felt rather deceived by all the additional expenses that came up along the way. The resort charges a $25 a day "resort fee" that they do not tell you about until you either check in or check out. In our case, after I received my credit card statement. I had to call to figure what the extra charges for were since we were not told nor did we receive a receipt. The resort fee covers the "free" shuttle rides which we did not need and the daily breakfast only for children under 10 which they advertise as "kids eat free" which we also did not use. I would much rather they just tell you up front that the room and stay is actually $25 more a day than advertise free amenities that are not actually free. Additionally, their parking lot was very full at most times so if you are unable to find a parking spot like most guests experienced, you have to pay $25/day for valet. Parking should be free and accessible as every other nice hotel I have ever stayed in has been.

Food on location was very good but also completely out of control expensive. We anticipated spending a lot on dining while there as we go to Destin very regularly and the location alone warrants those prices. But $3 for a banana and $9 for a cup of black coffee seems a little crazy. This was our first experience at Hilton Sandestin and we will not return.

You enter the lobby and feel like you are on vacation, the moment you walk through the door. The restaurants were great but the service was slow. The ambiance makes up for it. Expect resort prices on everything. The pools were good but the beach is stellar. The rooms were big, comfortable and we had an amazing ocean view. The kids loved the bunk beds. This is resort living, you never really have to leave but if you do there is plenty to do.

The room and services were all excellent. We have ample room and plenty of amenities, and the view cannot be beat! The fitness center was a little difficult to find even though there were signs. However it has all the basic equipment and many cardio machines. Overall it's been a really nice place to stay!

Wonderful hotel right on the beach and so beautiful!! Indoor pool as well as indoor hot tub.. Also outdoor pool and hot tub. Our room was a double but as soon you walk in there is bulk beds for the kids. Loved the hotel!!

The idea of such a huge resort sounds good but the execution was quite different. Grounds were well maintained but this was way to monstrous in size. Such an inconvenient to get around, service was fine.

There is plenty to do nearby or on site, the hotel features a few restaurants, a spa, and offers a bus service to nearby places. The pricing is pretty high, as expected at a Hilton, and finding out information about the charter busses was difficult and confusing. The app suggested wasn't very helpful, but the concierge desk was.

Love staying @ the Hilton, as I travel for work. Excellent guest services & the few issues that came up during my 2 week stay, maintenance was AWESOME! Specifically David Shouse. He made me feel comfortable & safe. As a woman traveling alone, I'm always on guard. David always arrived within minutes of my call & was back out the door as soon as he arrived. Extremely thankful for the Hilton @ Sandestin. Highly recommended.

Nice setting and great views. Most of the staff was warm and inviting. My two 10 year olds enjoyed the pool and hot tub. A basketball court court would have been nice. And I was shocked that to visit the exercise room that you had to be 16 or older. My boys play sports so they also work out. The exercise room was small too. Spa attendants were mean.

Excellent place, luxury services. The food is good and the facilities are pleasant. The rooms for conventions very broad and with all services. The place where it is located is nice, but a little complicated to get there.

Beautiful beachfront golf hotel with a number of re$taurant$ on the premises, spa, ample beach chairs, ice cream parlor, indoor & outdoor pools, guarded/gated parking lot etc. The rooms are clean & tastefully decorated- you can tell it's a mix of old & new but it's coordinated. The beds are comfortable and they have rain showers (one of the bathrooms in our suite). They have an AMAZING family suite with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms (bunkbeds & a King bed), a living room with a pull-out bed and a balcony. There were elevator issues during our stay (slow, long lines & constantly full). They didn't seem to be able to accommodate all the people there that weekend, so we used the stairs a lot, but we didn't mind the exercise. Staff was friendly & kind.

I waited longer for a salad than my boyfriends whole meal. They were very nice to us even though we had such a long wait. We were only 3 small tables in there. I ended up just having to take my salad to go. The salad and food he ordered was all very good.

So far the stay has been nice. Room, view, beach and water are amazing! Jennifer Simms was able to get my room taken care of via booking . We arrived a little early and the receptionist had us wait 2 hrs. After those long hours Darryl Smith took care of getting our room together and apologized for the wait. We went to get ice cream from Picnik's and I watched a young lady by the name of Savannah scratch her head, wipe her hand on her apron and reach for an ice cream cone (no gloves) and serve food , so we left. I went over to Starbucks (they had ice cream) and a young lady by the name of Shavel was there - I watched her put on gloves to serve the customers ahead of us so that made me feel better (no one asked her to put on gloves, she did it on her own). I'd like to send a thank you to the 3 of them and will be turning in a review to the hotel as well.

The hotel was very nice , The only thing i didn't like was the shower it was the water u couldn't fix the water at a nice temperature, It was either too hot or to cold AND THE SHOWER HEAD WAS NOT GOOD , THE WATER JUST CAME OUT IN A LITTLE STREAM, EVERY THING ELSE WAS GRATE .

Guest service was excellent at this Hilton. They checked on us via text several times during our stay. Check in and check out was seamless. The only complaint I have is that Picnix Market and The Coffee Shop should have been open until 9pm.

It's a beautiful place!! Reservations weren't so nice when checking in. The staff that clean the rooms were so nice!! Will have to visit again. Hopeful everyone will have their attitudes checked, especially that lady named Angelica at reservations.

The Meeting Planners and Sales Team at the Hilton ...

The Meeting Planners and Sales Team at the Hilton Sandestin are HORRIBLE. They promise you everything but come through with far less than what was promised. They are the stingiest group of meeting planners and sales team in the Southeast, I am almost certain of it. If you are looking for a great experience in FL stay away from this sales team and meeting planner crew and stay at the Marco Island Marriott. Better hotel, better staff, not stingy if you want a great meeting and a great meeting experience for you as a host.

The resort is well run with some great amenities. However, the rooms (at least the room we stayed in) need to be updated and remodeled. All rooms were booked so we couldnt move to a new one.
The AC was leaking and the floor was soaking wet. The staff said it was from a previous occupant's cooler but it was directly below the AC supply vent and stayed wet the whole time. The room smelled like mildew. The toilet kept running and would not fill unless you removed the tank cap and jiggled the handle. The tub had been resurfaced and was peeling in large sections the edges of which would have cut you if you slipped on them. When you pushed the button to divert the water from the tub spout to the shower head the button would fly out and hit you in the leg or land on your foot...everytime.
Beyond all that things were clean and the staff was pleasant. Still at 300+ a night I expected much better. 3 stars for the staff and the over all resort.

I felt discriminated...
I came in to the restaurant of the Hilton as it was the only thing open in the surrounding areas after Hurricane Sally. I sat down at the bar with my sister & an Asian man attended us. He billed us right after every drink. he explained to us that their power had gone off earlier in the day. We were fine we had no problem with it at all. Until the couple besides us was done eating & we realized they were billed for their entire meal in one after they had already finished eating. Also, my sisters flat bread was burned. & it took about 50 mins for me to get the pizza I had ordered.

We are planning to get married here in 6 weeks. So far the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY HORRIBLE and we haven't even gotten through the wedding yet. So where do I begin.....

So upon calling the Hilton to find out pricing and to set a date, we were told the amount without sales tax. Which is just dumb right off. But trying to reach someone or anyone, whether its the wedding sales dept. or accounting, you can forget!!! So back at the first of June we contacted them wanting to schedule a time to go and check out the place as well as making the final wedding plans. I called about every other day but I didn't get ahold of someone until 3 weeks later and 2 days before we were initialing coming. The day that we were there, we were quoted a price that was left after the down payment(keep in mind, that the price with sales tax was still never quoted to us). A week later, I called accounting to make sure this price was right. They quoted me a new price that was $600 more then the price a week prior. After a break down of pricing, we found out that $1000.00 was to be paid up front to ensure that we didn't exceed over the amount of people in our package and that we would get that refunded back to us that Friday. If we already know we aren't exceeding over our limit, then why still charge us for that amount only to turn around and refund us back????? This is uncalled for and ridiculous. I received an email after on July 7th, asking me if I had any questions. At the time I didn't but two days later I did. I emailed them on the 9th and 10th and I still haven't heard from them....shocking. I refuse to call and blow them up when they clearly know that we are trying to get in touch with them.

So if you think about booking your wedding here, DON'T!!!!!!! It's not worth the price and hassle.

This is our fourth time visiting this hotel. Generally the service is outstanding. During this trip (spring break), they weren t staffed accordingly to meet the demand. I am a Diamond member and the HHonors check-in line took almost 30 minutes for me to check in. Also, not enough wait staff around the pool or beach front area. Hotel is starting to show some wear and needs to be updated. Would still come back to this hotel due to amenities and location.

One of the best resorts I've ever stayed at. Security is top notch; makes you feel safe and secure knowing how much security they have put in place for their customers. The resort has two pools and is close to the beach with multiple access points for beach access. This place is great for a family or romantic couple retreat. The rooms are spacious and most have a balcony. The resort is in a prime location for shopping, good eats, and is about ten miles from the famous boardwalk.
