I brought my 2015 Honda Civic to get serviced after it had some transmission problems. I mentioned to them that I was also interested in buying a car and they happily agreed to help me after they diagnosed the problem with my car and attempted to fix the problem.
They informed me that after trying some servicing, they determined that my car would need a new transmission and would cost upwards of $5,000 to fix. When I went to see my options for another car, they drew up my papers. Within the cost for a lease was the $950 bill that I owed to the service department. I didn t remember them quoting me a number that high, so I did not sign any paperwork with the intention of going to the service department in order to speak with someone about the bill.
It turns out that they attempted to get me to sign a deal with a higher price than I actually owed. The actual bill was for about $600.
I hate that I was lied to and that they attempted to pressure me into a contract in a deceitful manner. I m sad that they smiled to my face while trying to get over on me.
I ended up taking my car down the street. I got a new transmission with a warranty for about $2,000.

I recently went back to Royal Honda because I was curious about a reasonably priced Honda Accord that I saw online. Our sales associate was wonderful and very helpful! We got some help with financing through Anthony and he saved us money while also getting us better coverage through a warranty! All for cheaper than we had originally.
I am pleasantly surprised by the drastic difference in experiences I had this time around. Thank you guys so much for all of your help!

Brought my Honda Fit in for replacement battery per AAA diagnostic report. The replacement Honda battery was installed sooner than expected while I waited & prorated with no charge. I left to discover that my tail lights would not turn off & returned. It was a simple repair that the service advisor performed within 10 minutes @ no charge.

I absolutely love my 2017 Honda Accord Sport!!! All those that I worked with at Royal Honda was very helpful and informative. My salesman, Alton Clivens, was extremely helpful with every aspect of purchasing my car. He took the time to teach me about the car. He was very thorough with answering my questions. I would certainly recommend Royal Honda and Alton Clivens to anyone who wants excellent customer service and a great, reliable car.

Would give zero stars if possible!! I had the worst experience with Honda in Metairie. I had to get my airbags fixed due to the Takata recall. Sierra, the appointment coordinator for the service department told me that it would be three weeks until I could come in (for a recall that could end in death or serious injury). I spoke to the manager, Joe, and he got me in the next day. Then, I went to have my hood latch repaired. Tragic. Sierra told me she set me an appointment, which in reality she did not. Then, Stephen in the service dept said that I didnt need an appt, to just walk in and mention his name. So I did just that the next day, and of course I was let down and not able to be helped without an appt. I went back at 7:30 am the next morning--stephen told me he wouldnt do anything that costs me any money before he called and got my consent. Of course, stephen called me hours later saying that I owed x amount of dollars because they did something without me giving them the ok first. Stephen tried to charge me $130 just to pop my hood and look around. Not to even take anything apart!!!!! Once again, I met with Joe, the Service manager. Joe got me straightened out, but that does not compensate for the AWFUL customer service I got. I will NEVER return to this honda--the service dept is a spawn of satan! Awful experience and awful employees in the service dept (stephen and sierra specifically).

Today I had a 10:15 am appointment for an oil change. My service advisor, Joe Munch greeted me upon arrival and did an excellent job explaining the findings of the multi point inspection, which is included in the Royal Honda oil change. My wait time was minimal. I have owned Honda autos for 10 years and have used this dealership exclusively for oil changes.

Royal Honda s service was excellent. All employees were wearing masks. The waiting room had physical distance of every other chair. I asked one of the Salespeople to carry a chair outside in the shade, which he kindly did, so that I could feel more comfortable. I was kindly greeted by Roy and given his cell number in case I needed anything while waiting. My car was evaluated and Roy asked for my permission to proceed. He explained the time it would take to complete the repairs, and it turned out that my car was finished in two hours instead of three. The inside of my car was completely wiped down to assure no transmission from surface or air particles would harm me. I have always felt well taken care of at Royal Honda, from whom I bought my Honda Fit in 2007.

Royal Honda does consistently excellent work whenever I need a repair or work done to our Odyssey and Accord, and at a reasonable price. I have been using Royal Honda for over 20 years, which, since there are plenty of other car dealerships in the area, says a great deal-- I.e., I think very highly of them. And their sales staff, particularly Scott Usher, is excellent as well. I have purchased four vehicles from them, not including the Accord I bought from Courtesy Honda, the predecessor of Royal Honda!

I'm so disappointed with the service department. Keep in mind I've been a customer for 10yrs. Recently I had an oil leak and Mr. Roy (who was pretty nice) called and told me it was leaking from 2 places. I paid $1200 for the repairs. The following week I smelled oil burning off and took it back, he told me it was debris- ok, cool. Later in the week I noticed a puddle of oil and went back to speak to the manager. He took my car around back and in 30 min came back and said they fix it. Apparently I had another oil leak. Which brings it to a total of 3 oil leaks that were fixed. My car is still leaking oil. I"m not sure what to do?! I literally just gave them $1200 and I'm back where I started.

High price for service!!! Watch them, they took advantage of my girlfriend on her car. When she had issues with the paint job, she was given every reason why they aren't at fault, warranty issues etc... Terrible to work with.

My experience at Royal Honda from start to finish was easy and detailed. My sales person, Alvin Clivens did a wonderful job of explaining the vehicle to me and made sure I understood how everything worked. He also gave me a tour of the dealership including the service department and the parts department. I highly recommend Royal Honda for your next vehicle purchase.

This was our first time buying from Royal Honda. W...

This was our first time buying from Royal Honda. We stopped by looking for a used small SUV within a lower price range. Felipe, our sales rep, asked if we were set on the SUV and the price limit. We were set on the price limit but not a specific vehicle. He showed us a Mazda B3000 that was in pretty good condition and well cared for by the previous owner (according to the CarFax) other than some minor bumps and brusies. Felipe was open and honest about a small leak and worked to get the price we were looking for.

Ended up driving off with the Mazda for a little over the limit we set.

Other than a little more time sitting around beacuse we needed a credit check to write a check for the truck and a $300 add on charge for "Customer Service" or something like that. It was a good experience with Felipe and Anthony.

We would shop there for another vehicle in the future.

A nice, cozy location where salesmen do not swarm you when you come in. There was a popcorn machine with some in it, coffee that was empty, a pastry cabnet with chocolate muffins, and a well-stocked water fridge. The vehicles were as expected, some inside and some out, set up for floor examples. The people were nice.

Appointment was scheduled for 7:15 am, was told it would be the first one worked on. Drop off a few minutes early. Contacted Honda at 10:00 and they said my vehicle was next in line to get worked on. How can you be nearly 3 hrs behind schedule on the first vehicle of the day? Other than this everything else was fine.

All were friendly and professional and am satisfied with work done! This is my 3rd Royal Honda vehicle in which I've come to you guys for the work to be done - so am highly satisfied with my Pilot and the work done at your Veterans Blvd location. I had to wait too long to be seen by a service coordinator (5-8minutes). No one even acknowledged my presence to say they would be soon with me (and the other customers waiting).
Nevertheless, once I was seen I was taken care of very well.

In my original post I mistakingly gave Royal Honda 5 stars not realizing I was rating the wrong dealership. Royal Honda deserves zero stars. When we arrived we were greeted by Alton Clivens. Everything was going well until it was time to discuss the price of the vehicle. Alton provided us with an offer that was over the MSRP. My boyfriend and I spent many hours researching everything about the vehicle including the pricing. We counter offered with our maximum price. Unfortunately, Alton told us "No" and that it was "unrealistic". He then wanted to show us something on a website to explain the pricing. (Again, we did our research and we did offer a realistic number.) We told Alton thank you and reiterated our max offer. In our opinion there was no reason to stay there and waste his time or ours. We were not going to budge with our offer. Alton then got very angry and defensive because we did not let him finish explaining (Very unprofessional). While we were walking out I heard Alton tell his co worker that my boyfriend stepped out of line (which was not true!) I then turned around and told him that he was lying and that he was the one that started to address us with an attitude. He continued to argue with me in the middle of the sales floor in front of everyone. So at that point we were trying to walk out of the building a second time when we were approached by the sales manager. He tried to smooth things over and asked us what our offer was. We told him our offer and he said ok lets try to work something out. We went back inside and sat down. While we were waiting, Alton approached us and apologized and told us he did not mean to come off the way he did. After that, the sales manager came back to us and was still not able to agree to our offer. It was very frustrating and more of our time was wasted. We were serious buyers and did not want to play "games". We then left and the next morning we purchased the same exact car (same trim) for the price we offered at a different dealership. To any potential customers reading this please research everything about the car before going to a dealership. Knowledge is key!

This is my second vehicle purchase from this dealership. Last time was over a decade ago and the service is better than I recall. I was assisted immediately upon arrival by Ricardo Pazo. He showed me several models and helped me decide on a new car. Anthony came in after with all the paperwork and numbers and explained all the options available. The whole visit was smooth.

Don't bring your car here for service. After they damaged my steering wheel and scratched up my entire roof I was told I should be lucky that they didn't wreck it like they usually do. I had to fight to get it fixed. Was willing to give Royal sales a shot because I was in the market for another car and was laughed at because I wanted to test drive but wasn't going to purchase that day. We left and Paretti Mazda welcomed us with open arms.

I took my car in on a Friday morning for major work. I had an appointment. I got a phone call at around 10 AM from a sales person asking if they could appraise my car for a possible trade-in. I informed him that I was not interested. That was the only phone call I got. I realized later in the day that I had not heard anything and by that time they had already closed. They kept my car for a whole day and no one contacted me concerning my car except for the sales person looking for me to buy something new. I had to call the next day to check on my car. Of course, they apologized for the inconvenience. The only reason I'm not really upset is because we are in the house anyway. They could have sent me a courtesy text or something.

These gentlemen at this here Royal Honda are nothing short of amazing. The comfort and security I felt with Alton Clivens and Aaron Freeman were unmatched! And at the top you always have to have professional and impeccable customer service. That Anthony (in finance, we all have to go thru him) he is cut from a different cloth, the diligence and communication skills are out of this world! Yes, as consumers we are giving up the money; but, I will say at no point or at no time of purchasing a care have I never felt so secure and taken care of! No less during the pandemic! GO SEE THESE GUYS! Class and professionalism at its finest!

BEWARE: There are workers stealing money from cars at this place. After my oil change, i happened to look for money to pay someone to my surprise money from hand rest missing. I spoke to the manager and on the next day he called me and said "i am unable to see what the workers are doing inside the car, i am not sure" Now i doubt did they really work on oil change other services i paid for.

To Everyone's surprise manager mentioned me in person that he is seeing these issues these type of complaints quite often these days.

I went to Royal Honda to purchase a vehicle on 6-27-10 and I was happy with my purchase. I also purchase the extended warranty. The sales person Alberto was very helpful and also the Finance Manager, but on 6-30-14 while driving the car started shaking and than just killed. I had to get the car towed back to Royal Honda. I called to let them know what was my issues and to perform a diagnostic on the vehicle. Needless to say on 7-8-14, I started having the same issues. Upon my arrival I went into the Pre Owned Sales area to speak with the Manager but he was about to begin a training session. An associate of his related the message to him the purpose of me needing to speak with him. He said that replacing anything on my vehicle isn't feasible and swap out my vehicle. He stated that he paid for the car to be service on 6-30-14 and replaced the battery. I was told to go and wait in the showroom to speak with the Finance Manager. The Finance Manager proceed to tell me that inside of swapping out the vehicle use my Extended Warranty to get the vehicle fix/diagnostic. I told him that I feel that I shouldn't have to use my warranty because I was told that the car had diagnostic done. I went back to speak to Pre-Own Manager and he called the off-site mechanic shop and spoke with the owner and he said that he changed the battery and check for low voltage. A full diagnostic wasn't performed that first time. I was lied to my face by the Sales Associated and told that everything was checked on the vehicle. I told the Manager that I was told that my vehicle was going to swapped out and now its something totally different. I was very displeased with the service and was being given the run around. I spoke with the General Manager and told him what was going on and he said that he was told my vehicle was going to swapped out and didn't know why the change. He ask me to wait in his office and he was going to speak with the Manager. Once he came back he told me to go and pick something out. I found a vehicle that I like and was told to come back on 7-9-14. I returned and my paper work wasn't completed and was from the Finance Manager that he has to see how to proceed with me getting out the vehicle. I was given a loaner car and told to come back 7-10-14. On 7-10-14 I begin calling Royal Honda to speak with the Finance Manager after 2:00 pm and my phone calls hasn't been returned. My new sales person is off today and I didn't have anyone else to speak with about the status of my new vehicle or paper work. I'm writing this email at 5:50 pm and I have called again and I left several voicemails for the Finance Manager and he hasn't return my calls. I didn't even get a courtesy call just to let me know that my paper work is still being worked on, if there is any issues. This has been a learning experience and I'm still displeased with the service I have been given from 7-9-14 until today 7-10-14. The lack of communication is a big issue with me.

I purchase my 2017 Honda Accord about 3 months ago I was pretty satisfied with the deal. but later i changed my mind about the extended warranty so I went back into the dealership to have the extended warranty removed had it process. it has been almost two months they haven't removed it or credit it back to me. I tried contacting the finance manager Anthony buy phone calls and leaving messages but he's never returned any phone calls to let me know what was the problem.or why it's taking two months just to fax my paperwork to Honda care extended warranty. I think this is unprofessional as a dealership finance manager.. and I think he needs to resolve this matter as soon as possible because It's not that serious.

OMG.....My experience here were exceptionally outstanding. The staff here were extremely courteous and over joyer to help with any and everything.........I worked with, well they worked with me. ANTHONY HALL (Finance manager) and ALTON CLIVENS (sales consultant). With these TWO gentlemen, they are more concerned about the customer's well being and affordability when it comes to car sales. I actually was able to get my dream car and the color (RED) i wanted, within my price range. Although my credit wasn't good at all they still managed to get me an inexpensive car not with low interest. So 2 thumbs up for Mr. Anthony Hall and Alton Clivens. Thanks you guys, I appreciate everything you've done for me and even through in a few extra favors without my knowledge. Purchase your vehicles at ROYAL HONDA METAIRIE.

Royal Honda doesn't care about their customers at all. My wife and I went there to purchase a Pilot. I had done my homework and knew what our trade in was worth. They offered us a ridiculously low value for our trade. It was insulting. I told the sales manager that I wasn't looking for the maximum trade value, but that I at least expected a fair trade value. He literally told me to take my business somewhere else. I have never been told by a dealership to take a hike just because I wanted to be treated fairly. I guess if you are not willing to take a beating, Royal isn't the place for you. They could have at least bought me flowers before they tried to screw me.

We have dealt with Royal Honda for maybe 10 years and always been treated 'royally.'
Scott and Anthony are very attentive and work with us to get the car we want within our budget.

Service at Royal Honda is great, particularly, if an appointment has been made. For oil changes and inspection of key components of the vehicle, the time is not very long to wait for our car.

I have owned 2 honda civics since 2004 and both were purchased from Royal Honda. Clearly I'm a loyal customer but their service center has always been slow! I bought a new 2018 honda civic and I'm here now for my 3rd oil change (its 8am on a Thursday). They told me it's a 90 min to 2 hour wait! I tried to book online and no appointments were available until 3 weeks from now. And to top it off the oil change is $70. So slow service at premium prices Mr. Roy and the service tech he dealt with did get me out faster than usual today.

Last time I came the service men touched my light tan materiel seats and had dirt/oil prints on the roof and interior. Had to come back and get that cleaned. I only come because with a new car I try to get all work done at the dealership during my warranty period. If this is the case they should offer us free oil changes with our initial purchase.

I got a notice in the mail for a SRS Recall(Air bag). Called Royal and was given an appt. 3 days (June 1, 2017) in the future. When I asked about the amount of time needed for the repair I was told 2 hours. I arrived promptly for my appt. (luckley my wife picked me up from the dealership) and went home. Five (5) hours later I called my Service rep.?? (Roy Sellers) and was told that the tech. was just finishing up the work and my car would be ready in 30 minutes. I picked up my car and was told by the cashier that the work was completed with no charge to me. This AM I got a call from Royal parts dept. telling me my part (the SRS unit) would be in on Monday June 8, 2017, and please make an appt. to have it installed???? Why was I given an appt. for a part Royal did not have?, why was my car at Royal for 5 hours when they did not have the part. And most importantly why was I not told that my service was not completed when I picked up my car?? Upon calling the Asst. manager to inquire as to why I wasted a whole day without my car (Joe) couldn't find my info in his computer. Never again at Royal Honda, I'll go out of my way to avoid them.

Service department is mostly friendly, they explain everything well, and they're punctual. The only negative experience I have had is trying to hold a conversation about service warranty work with one of the receptionists (?) on the phone, who seemed put out that I was asking questions. The in-person service is stellar.
