My husband bought me the faux leather zip top pewter handbag with 3 inner compartments zip inside pocket and 2 open inside pockets.i love my purse not only do I love the color and the style of the purse I also love the size of it ....it was exactly the size I wanted I recommend rods western palace they are awesome and you are sure to find a product that you love cause I sure did thanks rods western palace y'all are the best from jonie brazell in lawrenceburg tn

The jean jacket i ordered ran very small. the 2xl fit like an extra large. If your going to raise the price on 2xls you could at least use a little more material. the fit was not ay all consistent with a $120.00 jean jacket. wouldn't shop here again.

Drive 4 hours to shop here. Bought 7 pair of jeans last week. Customer service was great. Employees took time to help me and didnt make me feel rushed. They give me true opion on how things fit. They dont try to make a sale by saying everything looks good. I am a retail manager and this is how a customer should be treated.

I went to Rod's and although I was the only customer there most of my 35 minute visit, I was not impressed at all. Several staff around, and although I had $1000 on me to spend to get several new wardrobe items, I felt as though I was bothering them each time I asked a question. All three items, they said, We'll call and get that from the warehouse, it'll be 15 minutes."
One of my concerns was that even pairs of jeans marked exactly the same size AND style AND brand, were completely different, some wouldn't meet, others baggy, I showed the clerk one pair that was clearly mismarked because the legs were 3" longer--she folded and put them back on the shelf with the others. My advice is not to buy jeans unless you try on every pair, they are not as labeled.

The only place in town where I can find jeans that actually fit!--I'm just a tad taller than the average woman, not overweight, on the low-mid-end for my height, but my legs are definitely longer than average for my height. I used to be able to find men's 29wX34l jeans at any mall store before America got, er, overweight. You can't find women's jeans that long unless high heels/platforms are in style. Rod's has this size! The Wrangler's are way cheaper here than buying jeans at a mall--heck, even the Levi's outlet/catalog can't get this size when it used to be so common back in the 80's/90's. If not for Rod's I'd be stuck wearing "highwaters." Rod's has nearly every imaginable jeans size, best kept secret in cowtown and what with The Anderson's closing, great to hear they now sell work boots, another thorn in my side, very few places to find reasonably priced waterproof boots for hiking around campus in the winter, but apparently Rod's carries those now, too. Great place to find work gear, not just for horse lovers!

So I got a pair of Jean's for xmas from my Mom and they didn't fit so I followed the directions to return them and it took nearly 30 days and several phone calls to get an exchange. Well... I needed help finding the right pair for me and a super helpful and fun gal in the store helped my find the perfect pair! If it weren't for the long return/exchange I would have given a 5 star!

After seeing poor reviews left by others, I just had to write and leave my own review to tell of our experiences. We live 5 1/2 hours away in Western NY but always stop when we are traveling in the area. We show Paint horses and have purchased supplies both in the store and by mail order and have never had any negative issues with Rod's. We appreciate the selection, customer service and prices and are looking forward to our July visit. As a business owner myself, I know that sometimes bad reviews are left by competitors using fake e-mail accounts or as I see in one case here, former employees trying to hurt a company's reputation. We have shopped for very specific show items such as a particular bit, silver stirrups or a particular western hat with a certain crease and have always found the staff very helpful.

Easy to find from the highway just watch for the horse in the air.

Easy parking. Several parking spots available. Easy parking for a full size truck.

I stopped by looking for boot inserts for a few pair of boots I purchased in Texas. When we walked into the door we were greeted by a gentleman asking if there was anything he could help us with. I explained what I wanted he directed me in the right direction.

When I walked to the area the lady there greeted us by introducing herself to us stating if there was anything we needed she was there to help. I explained to her I was looking for inserts. She took us to the area where the inserts were and began looking. Quickly she found the pair. She put one into my boot for me to try. I decided as soon as I placed my foot into my boot that is what I wanted. She offered to put the second one in the other boot. I reached for the package saying I would take them up front to pay. She offered to take the empty package to the front so I could continue to look. We ended up picking up a few other items.

When I went to the front I told the lady there I had another package that was empty that I needed to pay for along with the other things. She quickly thanked me for my honesty. Yes I could have walked out without paying for them since they were in my boots.

The boot selection is limited to mostly square toed boots. I realize the folks In the central Ohio are prefer the square toed boots so it is understandable. I will continue to shop at Rods for future needs.

Great selection of western wear and work wear. I would encourage anyone in the central Ohio area that is looking for a good store for western wear that wants great customer service to visit Rod's.

The customer service is great. Emily helped us pick out everything we needed for a barrel tack set. She was patient in assisting us and informative about the choices we were making. It was nice to have someone who could help us as we are just learning about the different pieces and wouldn't know what to get. Also, the two stores (tack and clothing) are fun to browse and have a wide selection of western items. We will be back.

Glad we stopped in today (03/01/2020) to find some of the items we were looking for such as boots and jeans. Found a replacement boots (same pair but mines were worn down) ; this time I got them with the steel toe as well (same style/color). Walking through the boots area two out of the three staff members were helpful and had great customer skills. First Jonathan helped me and answered my questions for my replacement boots. He was helping someone else, but ensured to do a quick check with me - once he was done fully helping the other person he helped me out (got my boots). While continuing on to check on shirts i wanted (need a few of them but a specific brand i like) - i was observing boot conditioner. Almost 40+ years of wearing boots and i never considered it until Austin reached out to mention it to me. He provided information and details on what I could use since I did not want something to make them shiny. He informed me about a specific conditioner which will help protect my boots (leather) in the long haul. There was a third member I had originally asked about a specific boot company, he mentioned were I could locate them (in that corner) and then went about to continue speaking to another staff member. Again, just thinking it was a moment (an opportunity) when a customer is asking a question in which the staff member should have taken the initiative to ask if there is anything they can help with or assist. In the end, I got my boots and now boot conditioner.

On to the shirts and jeans experience. Abby was very amazing and helpful from the beginning in answering all my questions; plus she had some good suggestions. I was able to take home a few shirts after trying several on - glad it worked out. Next I was checking a few jeans; again Abby had some great suggestions and was very helpful. I ended up finding the jean i was looking for thanks to Abby. Now this is what customer service skills are all about - very exemplary.

In addition, Abby, Sarah, and Raelynn collectively helped my wife find a hat and answered a few questions. Collectively they helped us find more than that as well - just amazing staff. We are sure to return as time permits - i still want a second pair of boots (same boots) plus to replace a couple more shirts/jeans to downsize some of our clothing which has plenty years (worn down).

STAY AWAY FROM ROD S online ordering at all cost. Don t dare to add any items to your cart because you will be charged at any random time (without even proceeding to check out process.) Rod s charged my card WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR AUTHORIZATION for an item I simply had in my cart/basket. I tried digging into their website to remove any credit card info that might of been available, but they don t have an option to do so. I ended up calling customer service and oh boy was that a nightmare! The way they handle the refunds is a complete joke and will leave your refund to a minuscule amount! I spoke to Julie who at first seemed to have understood my whole situation and had comfirmed a correct refund to follow. Two weeks passed and no refund yet, I called her multiple times with no call back. I ended up speaking to another rept and gave me contrary info from that provided by Julie. Overall, terrible experience and money lost!
I will give a word of mouth about how terrible this company is and best believe I won t ever purchase from here again, nor my family or friends. Hope this company gets investigated for the sketchy ways they conduct the refunds and miscommunication to their customers.

I must say that I was surprised by the presence of any negative reviews. I have purchased gifts from Rod's for the horse crazy people in my life, off and on over many years. Recently, my 12 year daughter made the decision to start riding English, and will be competing on an IEA team. Because I'd had positive experiences in the past at Rod's, I took her there for riding boots. The selection for English boots was small, but we did find something. Unfortunately, we discovered a few weeks after purchase, that the boots didn't fit the standard that she will be judged on for equitation. I was disappointed to have spent a fair amount of $ the boots, only to be told they weren't going to be acceptable. She had worn the boots, and I figured that I would be stuck with them. Without any expectations at all, I called the store and asked to speak with a manager. I first spoke with a supervisor by the name of Allison, and she was very helpful and friendly. I explained what the issue was, and she assured me that she would speak with the store manager as soon as she came in to work. A few hours later, I got a call back from Megan, the store manager, and she was wonderful. I truly cannot say enough positive things about how she handled the situation. She was apologetic, and offered a solution that I felt was very fair. I will definitely continue to shop at Rod's, and I hope anyone reading this review will consider the same.

Found this place ordering through another a site!! Great deal and products but when I ordered on Saturday I receive no information about my order. Monday nothing Tuesday I called customer service and they said my package was picked and would ship that afternoon and I would receive an update through email soon, nothing. Called again about 7 hours later and was told the same thing and even said they would upgrade my shipping at no cost, 24 mins later I receive an email that they went to pick my order and inventory was wrong and they did not have my item in stock after they said 2 times it was ready to go. Now I m stuck trying to get another order here in time! Not very satisfied with my first time service!

Have been buying my western gear here for the last...

Have been buying my western gear here for the last 9 years. Wife and I stopped in earlier today so I could get a new cowboy hat. Was $100 got it for $75 and they have a steamer to bend the hat the way you want it before you buy it or you can bring in your hats you already have that are out of shape and they will put them back in shape. Staff was extremely helpful. The store is easy to get to from the fair grounds or from 71 n/s or 270.

When it comes to Western style boots, Rods is the only place I trust to get the right pair at a good price. When I bought my Ariat boots a few weeks ago the lady in the boot section answered any question I had and had the best recommendation for how my feet would fit. The boots I bought fit well but needed a little loosening on the left. So I took my boots in and they stretched them for me at no charge to me which is awesome. I picked them up and thought they were good but they still needed work so I took them back in and again it was at no charge to me. Just shows that this company stands behind the products they sell and they keep thier word when it comes to service. I recommend anyone that needs any new boots or other gear to give these guys a try. Thank you to the people at Rods for helping me out.

Really nice items but if you have to return or exc...

Really nice items but if you have to return or exchange something, be prepared to wait weeks for a refund or exchange. I returned a purse that I received and didn't like. I requested an exchange. They received my item on the 20th of October. As of the 29th of October they are working on items returned on the 13th? Do they need more help or are they seriously that slow? Customer service is always nice when I call but dang, this is taking a really long time! I'm 3 hours from Columbus, Ohio. Probably should have returned it in person!

I have had 2 bad experiences. The first was in person when there was no one knowledgable to wait on me. The second has been an email exchange where I tried to turn my bad customer experience around, but, so far, things have only gotten worse (thanks for nothing, Deedra!)

I am now waiting on a call-back from an employee, and someone in management. The sales employee I will give a chance to help me, because I really do need help. The owner, or the supervisor, calling back should take steps to resolve the problems so Rod's customers continue to leave good reviews

I went to order something online but my payment would not go through. I called customer service. A man named Joe answered the phone in a very tired tone. I asked him what the problem would be and he answered rudely. Once I figured out how to fix it on the website, I thanked him and he just slammed the phone down and hung up.

Never in my LIFE have I received such RUDE customer service. I was gonna make a purchase, but now I m not. Good customer service goes a long way and its not that hard to just be nice.

Whatever is going on in your life Joe, I hope you get it figured out instead of taking it out on me.

A great place to shop. They had all sizes and household items . I always checkout the clearence racks and the discounted household goods room. From cellphone cases to perfumes, From the smallest boots to perfect earrings. You can't leave without buying something...I love the smell of leather.
