The box of brake pads came used, it was obvious that someone had used these pads and then put them back in the box. Being a mechanic I know the smell of brake dust and the box was full of it. The picture shows the packaging ripped open and covered in dust. I find it so wrong that you would put these back on the shelf and try and resell them. I value my time and now a project that I was to get done this weekend is held up because I have to send these back and find another place to buy my parts. I am disgusted by your practices and will never shop RockAuto again.

Someone stole my debit card number and made a transaction for $467.36 to this place. I called and left a voice mail explain in detail with the transaction and reference number so that would know that I certainly did Not Authorized that payment, but sadly I have Yet to hear from Anyone about it. No refund has been made, but an investigation from my bank has been issued and a police report has been filed. I remain optimistic about receiving a call Soon.

Love the rock. Great new website setup. Repeat customer. I recommend Rockauto to anyone who even mentions doing anything to their vehicle. I always tell them to start with Rockauto and then have their eyes opened when they stroll into ( insert auto parts store here) and realize they were overspending for years. Thanks Rockauto for helping me save some cash. And I love the coupons. Just placed another order today for wipers and lift gate pneumatics.

Horrible experience with this place when it comes ...

Horrible experience with this place when it comes to human nature and customer service.
Several months ago I had to buy a car for my daughter after hers was totaled by my wife. The car was needing a few things to bring it to safe vehicle to drive.
In March after using Rockauto before for my truck, I processed another order for several parts for my car and my daughter's.
Shortly after that, my wife filed for divorce, took my daughter's car and I was required to move. I was unable to put the order I placed together to use, as I would have to wait until things settled and was able to have my daughter's car returned.
As of 3 weeks ago I was able to repossess the car back from my ex wife.
With the parts in hand I noticed that the master window switch was not a correct fit, as the car is a late model 2010 versus early which made the issues that most 2010 parts don't fit necessarily. Using Rockauto system to order, and look up parts, the switch I ordered was not right at all.
I contacted Rockauto in regards to this matter. Noticing that they have a no return policy, I contacted directly and hoped that there could be resolved instead of no option to receive a correct part, or returned money.
I asked if I could pay a restocking fee, and any additional charges to exchange the part that was only about 70.00 dollars so I could get the correct part for my daughter's car.
After two emails discussing my situation, and currently unemployed from a serious car accident, Rock auto staff sent back a message stating, " It does not matter who you talk to, you will not be getting a part requested, or any return at all."
To summary, human kindness, and decency of true customer service is not evident with this business. They are a true heartless online company that stays disengaged from customers by not actually helping a customer when it is necessary.
I have a useless part that can't be used for my car an no ability to exchange anywhere for correct part.
Personally this will no longer be a place to order parts from and will be expressed to everyone I can. Rockauto company treats their customers poorly, who helps make serious profits off American people, and can't find decency to help in any situation that was not controllable.

Paid for expidited shipping on May 5th and still no part. They say USPS doesn't do exlidited however that is WHO THEY USE yet charge for a service they know won't happen!!!! Won't help us get the part, won't offer any resolution, nothing except just wait for the part. Never mind we have a vehicle down. Won't return messages nothing. After doing more research I have read MANY complaints about the same thing. They lost us a customer and out account for the auto shop. I want honest businesses to work with not scammers.

Part prices are AWESOME, selection is AWESOME, and closeout sale price are AWESOME. Parts are always in stock and Rock Auto always ships my parts to me extremely fast -- but they aren't as good as they used to be...

Shipping charges are RIDICULOUS -- if you order multiple parts on one order that come from multiple Rock Auto warehouses, you pay full shipping price from each warehouse. Any savings you made on the parts is negated by the shipping. Rock Auto NEEDS to fix this. This is a deal breaker for me on future parts needs. My order yesterday was two brake cables, and a drum brake hardware kit. I paid $18 in shipping for $22 in parts. NO other online company out there does this. All said and done, I could have went to a local parts store and paid less.

I found it RockAuto website was easy for me to navigate. It had a picture of the actual part that I was purchasing, which also was very helpful. And the price was excellent as opposed to my GM dealerships in my town.

This auto parts web site is very easy to maneuver around in and locate parts for multiple vehicles. It was easy to locate parts for my 1973 and 1978 Toyotas. In my past orders, all parts were received in MB Canada in less than anticipated time. The items were exactly as ordered (made in USA) and securely packaged. They often send the wrong part, then there is no one to call or email. Strange. My F150 Lariat 4x4, 5 4L have different size caliper pistons based on vehicle GVW. Mine is 720, others are 770 and there may be more...then some calipers don't report GVW BUT IT HAS A HEART for your vehicle? Wrong part!!

Terrible company for the option of getting customer service! TWO trash power steering pumps and you can't get someone on the phone to address the issue. Instead my truck is laid up STILL and I cannot get any customer service besides some trashy website that CANNOT address this issue. Done with Rockauto for sure. Thanks for NOTHING!!

Had an issue with shipping , where we paid to overnight a part $60 so we could install it and travel home...it didn't ship or arrive when their email stated it would... The lady representative from Rock auto, that returned my phone message, was very rude and even though I offered to show her the email that Rockauto sent regarding when the part was to arrive, she claimed regardless of their email it was on time and then she hung up on me. I filed a complaint with BBB and through that avenue they did reimburse the overnight shipping and agreed that it didn't arrive as their email stated and as we paid for it to. It's too bad you have to go through the BBB for this company to make it right but it seems that's how they choose to do business. Just see all the complaints wow!

i have driven company trucks for over 25 years and when im told im gettin a new truck next week,i have gone to the local parts store to get accessories to hear we dont have them but we can order them to show up after i have my new vechicle...i saw the rock auto commercial on tv and i get them cheaper than the parts store---faster--delivered to my house........these guys are great in my book and i will keep using them........from jon johnston in kentucky(go cats)

One of the parts I ordered was mislabelled/wrong part. I went through the return process on the website and the replacement part that was cross-shipped was the same mislabelled/wrong part. The part was an axle half shaft which they sent me the left side one, instead of the right side -- the difference being the right axle half shaft is 14" longer than the left.

I contacted customer service and explained the situation, trying to make sure that if I returned the part I had I wouldn't get the same wrong part again.

Originally customer service was responsive but after I provided all the details they requested I never heard back about next steps and they failed to respond to any of my follow up emails (I sent 5 in 3 weeks with no response). Now the return window is over and I would have to return the part under warranty, and pay half of the shipping which is prohibitive because of where I live. There is still no guarantee or resolution from customer service that if I do a warranty return I will finally get the correct part.

At this point I'm frustrated and have been put out weeks of time, and am left having paid for a part I don't need. Very hesitant to order from Rock Auto again because of this.

Ordered a pair of KYB rear shock absorbers for my '07 F-150 4x4 Supercrew and had them on in 48hrs! $85 including shipping to my door! Awesome. Literally took 10 minutes to remove the old origionals and install the new ones..and all I do is change my own oil!

Needed parts for my 1994 Suzuki Escudo 4 door. Stumbled upon Rock Auto while going through a Suzuki forum. Accessed the site and found the parts I needed and the rest is history. I am not getting all the parts I want, but getting what I presently need. I like the variety of parts being offered, in terms of price, quality and the purchase history of other buyers. Will continue to purchase from this site and also hope that the parts I am not able to get from the site presently will be in stock in the near future.

Worst experience I've ever had. I contacted this company to advise them someone had fraudulently used my bank card to make a purchase ($455.15) and ask them to withdraw the (still pending) charges. I advised the man on the phone, my bank told me to contact them to have the charge removed.

I was very boldly advised there was only 1 purchase in their system for the date and time in question and it would be "flagged as fraudulent" but the bank would have to contact them in order to have the charges removed.

I explained to him, this money which was stolen from my account, was there for me to pay my rent and purchase food for this week. If the charges are not reversed, I'd have no way to pay my rent or buy food for the week. He bluntly repeated himself and stated there's nothing he could do.

This is horrible service. Every other company I've contacted about this particular problem has been very helpful, reversed all charges made and blocked the card number from being used again.

Apparently their idea of 2 business day shipping is 6 business days to the rest of us. Ordered on Tuesday of last week, paying extra for 2 business day shipping, received an email Thursday night saying it has shipped, it is now Wednesday of the following week and the tracking number from DHL shows it went ground and is still not here. Needless to say, I have opened a dispute with PayPal for shipping fees and might turn this over to their Attorney General office since it sounds like they're pocket money and doing the old switch and bait. Will also be turning it over to the BBC since they have no customer service what so ever

I ordered two front strut assemblies for my 2006 Ridgeline. The left was fine, the right had the top pad and stud assemble misaligned. It was impossible to connect. It took me over an hour of struggling with the thing before I finally compared it to the original part. So, OK, a mistake, it happens. I sent it back. they sent another one that is identical to the first. Now, they will not send me a replacement (probably just as well) and they want me to pay to ship their crappy part back to them. The boxes both of the defective struts came in had been opened and resealed before they came to me. I suspect they may have been sent back before I got them. If so, they are deliberately sending out defective parts which is really annoying at least and could be dangerous. My truck has been down for a week now and I need it and may have to rent one. I've gotten parts from Rock auto over the years. I will never order from them again. They make it near impossible to contact them directly. I will leave this review on every site I can find. A bad way to do business.

I ordered a re-manufactured steering rack from Rock Auto. It came in defective. They sent me another one. It was even worse. Their customer service did literally nothing to help my situation. I asked them to send me a brand new part, and asked if they could discount my shipping on an overnight order, and they refused. So, after spending $200 on taxi rides to work, and an additional $200 on a brand new part from another dealer, I think it's fair to say that my experience with Rock Auto was abysmal. I would like to thank Rockauto for holding so many parts. I live in Canada and some parts are even less expensive than buying from Canadian local stores (even includes shipping). Shipping to Canada is fast in my opinion. Website is kind of old styles but logic is clear and website is overall easy to use.

I've ordered a ton of parts from here and it's always right. Lookup is a breeze and the ordering process is a breeze. Shipping is fast and affordable. Parts are priced very well and are of OEM quality. I get 99% of my parts for all my family's vehicles from them. I just recently got a radiator for my 09 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi when 75% of all other distributors listed the wrong radiator. They had the correct part which fit perfectly and was OE quality and was to me in 2 days and had me back on the road. RockAuto you "ROCK!"

Customers Service Is Crappy! Totatlly unreasonable. Asked 3 times to speak with a supervisor,and all 3 times was told that the supervisor was unavailable and that he/ or she would tell me the same. The issue is that I ordered wheel well molding for a 1977 chevy Malibu. Now as long as its between the years 73-77 the parts are exchangable. Now 1978 is when the body style changed to a smaller fram. 78-83 to be exact. Now I was sold a 1978 malibu part, and told that it would fit on a 1977 chevy Malibu Sedan, but not the coupe.. So I would not be able to receive my refund because I ordered parts for a sedan and not a coupe.?? As long as the car is the same year it does not matter if coupe or sedan. Now on the other hand 1977 &1978 parts are totally different being that the body changed.

Rockauto is my go-to place since they stock reputable name brand parts such as Bosch, Denso, NGK, etc. which are sometimes recommended by the owner's manual. They have cheaper prices than local parts stores, even when accounting for shipping. They also accept returns with no hassle. For example, I accidentally bought the wrong crank sensor for one of my vehicles. Rockauto accepted the return of the new part, even though I already test fitted it on my car.
