I can only think of positive things to say about this hotel. The room had a terrace overlooking the spectacular dunes of Maspalomas with the sea in the background, the environment being dotted with numerous palm trees that give the sensation to those contemplating being in an oasis. The food deserves a separate chapter for its exquisite bill and variety, served in a perfectly organized dining room where nothing seems to be left to chance. The staff is very professional and extraordinarily efficient. The gardens are very attractive. The sunbeds are comfortable and the pools are delightful. One of the most recommended hotels in Gran Canaria, which you can surely keep a pleasant memory.

Excellent hotel with perfect food comparable to a restaurant. In the morning, the day can start with a nice sparkling wine. The rooms are very thoroughly cleaned. Pictures of the wall, cabinets crazy and already gets cleaned ... Great. The way to the beach is only through the dunes, the view is very idyllic.

With what I liked the Riu chain, it seems very bad to me and a scam that the checking is at 16.00 and the checkout at 11.00 am taking away 5 hours of my stay from which I do not see any compensation on your part, The professionals you have save you, the buffet is a shadow of what Riu was. And if you want to stay, they charge me 15 euros per hour for a maximum of two hours, but neither, because they do not have details or even complimentary water? Please, I have been in places of much less category and there is always a complimentary bottle of water per person and not at 2 euros or so each bottle that is usurers. Anyway, I don't recommend it

Somewhat dated hotel ..... but great location ..... you should already have a fondness for sophisticated and lush ambience .... I feel comfortable there .... good food, clean large rooms. ..... sea view .... a great view over the grandiose dunes of Maspalomas and a great lush flora of the garden with the pool. To the cita it is a few minutes walk and the jumbo center is max. 20 min ..... by the way .... the hotel will be renovated in 2020 ..... we are happy there guests

The Riu Palace Maspalomas is a great hotel. The best breakfast buffet, very good dinner, nice pool landscape. The rooms were nice, the service excellent. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one point because of the location - Playa del Ingles is quite run down and the beach within walking distance.

A hotel, which one can recommend without reservation: we had a nice room overlooking the dunes. The service is nothing to complain about. Great breakfast and dinner buffet. Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Very nice garden or pool area. There was nothing to criticize. Only the distance to the beaches. But the hotel more than compensates for that.

Very nice if slightly dated hotel (though i think rooms are being refurbished slowly). The included food is out of this world and a danger to your waistline and the staff are so courteous and friendly and charming. Great location for exploring the dunes too.

Ingeniously located, right at the beginning of the dunes. Surely a little older audience but no problem, because super pleasant.
The hotel is definitely worth the travel price. Top staff !!!

Super: --- sympathetic ambience, best location on the dunes, friendly staff, delicious buffets, gay-friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff, who answered in Spanish, English and German. We never had the feeling that there were problems or that the staff was overwhelmed. Very pleasant.

You can clearly see that the hotel equipment was modern 10-15 years ago. In my opinion, a renovation would be appropriate in the next few years, although this should be seen more as an improvement than as a criticism.
I like the outside area very much. The landscape is lovingly designed and with palm trees in the hotel garden and the dunes plus the Atlantic Ocean in the background, you always have a great view.
With otherwise clean rooms and a very varied breakfast (we only had breakfast included) I felt comfortable at all times and enjoyed my vacation.

A super nice hotel, with personal attention from the staff
A dinner buffet that is incredibly extensive and also very tasty.
For the service I give the example "my wife found the mattress too hard and within an hour there was a soft one on the bed"
Expensive!!! Yes but great.

A neat big hotel, good breakfast and dinner quite abundant. A lot of standard tourists who are considered particularly good and the difference between them is too good to notice. Not right for kids, lots of retirees. Fine pool area with lots of chairs. The English-language service is sometimes between what you wouldn't expect at this level.

The location of this hotel in front of the dunes of Maspalomas seems to me a real privilege. I give it the highest score since apart from the tranquility, the incredible facilities, the excellent gastronomy and the climate that this area enjoys, you can see the commitment it has with the environment. Living days of change towards green and ecological, this is the type of place where you should set an example. I hope they continue like this for tomorrow to continue seeing the dunes and the area just as majestic and with no residue of visitors.

We stayed for 1 week at this hotel and it was so relaxing. The staff are absolutly amazing and go out of there way to help you in any way they can. We are in our 30s so the evening entertainment wasn't for us. It was aimed at a much older generation that said we went for relaxation and for this it was perfect. On the odd occasion we wanted a night out we would jump in a cab for 3 to 5 euros and go into the bars. Food was absolutely stunning every night there was something different and the quality of food was superb. The only thing which was a slight downside was the price of the drinks in the hotel. At 15 euro for 2 barcadi and cokes (albeit very generous serving of barcardi) it was still too expensive. We used the shop opposite the hotel and had drinks on balcony most evenings. The pools were fantastic with 2 to choose from and the staff cone round offering sunlounger service. You really are made to feel special here. It was my husbands birthday whilst away and we were given a bottle of bubbly in the morning for this and the waiters in the evening went out of their way to make out evening meal special. Would highly recommend this hotel for relaxation and luxery as long as your willing to pay the extra for drinks and snacks. Thanks to all the staff at riu palace maspalomas for making our stay so enjoyable x

Great not to say exceptional view of the dunes and the ocean in the background, 2 stylish swimming pools, quality half-board cuisine, covid standards controlled so spa closed the following mode ...
Situation: entrance to the palace on the city side, in front and to the right you have to cross the beautiful dunes to go to the beach by a signposted santier but not in tonge the sand is burning! By the left beautiful walk to playa del Ingles so if you can walk a bit everything is fine to go to the beaches we bought a parasol as much more rental on the beaches ...
Decor of the hotel very good even if a little too classic for us but the comfort, service, cleanliness, etc at the top :) just rent a car and go visit the center of the islands and the other dimensions to have made a good Gran Canaries tour Maspalomas still being in the sun after the early morning light mist. We had a great holiday alone the photos with the mask are not so good;)

A good four star hotel with helpful and friendly staff. We have just spent our third holiday in this hotel, but have met others who have returned annually over many years.
On a half-board basis, both the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide choice of well cooked and presented dishes. The Las Dunas restaurant offers excellent lunch choices, from a salad buffet to a variety of lighter cooked food.

Food fabulous in quality, variety and quantity. Waiter service superb. Hotel in general is comfortable and spacious with a bit of an old style decor. We went in September and older people predominated (like us). The hotel was fully booked so we could not extend aour holiday. Overall good value for money.

Top hotel. Older style but beautiful. Very friendly staff. Top breakfast and dinner. Many shops nearby. Nice walks. Beautiful swimming pools. Clean. Do give tips because wages are low and people work very hard. Average taxi ride was 6. And many more good things

Nice hotel in a good location. Big pool area, good food, good service, old fashioned room and restaurant.
Staff very attentive and very friendly.
Music animation with too many pauses.
Cleaning ladies often noisy, regardless of sleeping guests.
Breakfast outside is possible.
Wellness area does not work.

Beautiful hotel, Incredible views, nice rooms although It lacks a bit of new, good buffet ...
But to go from one pool to another there were only stairs and with a baby carriage it was impossible as there were no bathrooms in that area as well.

Room extremely noisy, food hall very poorly organized, the meal times are in my opinion much too late, especially at dinner, from 20:30 to (only) 22:00 clock. If you want to lay earlier and at least two hours, so you have to hurry up and the room is therefore full of course and there is a hectic pace between the staff, you yourself is also slightly annoyed. Otherwise everything is impeccable in terms of friendliness and the hygiene of the room.

The RIU Palace Maspalomas is a dream hotel! It looks like a fairytale castle from the outside and impresses with old-English charm from the inside. It has excellent staff and service is just perfect. Everytime you feel welcome and soon you get a feeling of coming home. If the RIU Palace Maspalomas has drawn you into its magical spell, you will always come back. For me, there is only this hotel in Gran Canaria. Highly Recommended!

Like living in the "Dallas" tv show :) While it's modern and well maintained, it's styled in a 80s kind of luxury. Many of the guests are German and British senior couples. Staff is professional and friendly.

We had the half-board, the diner was very nice with a huge buffet of lots of different things, and it was new things every day. DO NOTE that appropriate dressing is expected, e.g. men should not wear shorts or sleave-less vests, according to the hotel information.
One of us is lactose intolerant, all allergens were clearly marked as such except for the desserts - when the staff was asked, they arranged so that she got a lactose free dessert every night.

The pool areas are both very nice. The amazing beach is maybe 1km away along the edge of the desert. The desert itself offers gorgeous views.
