Relaxed, elegant casualness combined with great friendliness of the entire staff, coupled with very varied and tasty food ensure successful rest in a quiet hotel in the perfect location overlooking the large dunes and the palm-fringed garden and pools. There would be little things to improve, but then it would be too perfect. So it's just VERY GOOD.

This hotel is fabulous !!! We were given upgrade on arrival to a suite - which was a lovely surprise - as we had arrived late evening and missed dinner we were supplied a buffet in our room, and on my birthday a bottle of Cava was left in our room .
All staff were so friendly and had great sense of humour, no one could do enough for you. Food was exceptional with plenty of variety. Could not fault anything about it and will be definitely re booking again for next year.
Thank you to all Rui staff for a fabulous time !!

It's really nice there. Very friendly courteous staff. There was a small problem which was immediately changed for our good. There are two nice pools and the food (buffet) is prepared in front of your eyes. It was always delicious. My only drawback is that the hotel is not directly on the beach. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beach, which is due to the beautiful dunes.

By the addition "Maspalomas" I searched for the hotel also in Maspalomas. Unfortunately in vain, since it is in Playa de Ingles ist.Argerlich, since I had an appointment with friends. Why this misneading name?
The hotel should be renovated urgently.

Exclusive but not too expensive. Modern renovated building complex, nice pool. But not the quietest hotel as it is located at the roundabout of 2 well-traveled streets. But you can also have quiet rooms. The pool is on the sunny street side. Well located for party goers. Essen, hotel staff in the best Riu quality. So we had a nice vacation.

Very quiet and familiar hotel. Very varied bean meal with very friendly employees.
The board is half board but you can eat something light and quick on the pool terrace.
Here is a tasting of burgers that I have tried and it is very good.

From our room on the top floor we had a direct view of the dunes. The hotel has a perfect service. The food was very good. The whole hotel is very quiet and tasteful. Ideal for guests looking for peace.

The employees are especially friendly. The hotel is nice and large, the pool quiet with live piano music. It is next to the dunes, which you have to cross to get to the beach. Nice views. The dinner buffet is quite complete

Very good hotel. Very attentive service, excellent food, best location of the island, central yet very quiet. Room clean, nice view. Very friendly, always attentive staff! Top value for money. Has been there several times, I'd like to come back. Really a nice memory in every way. Thanks for that

This was our second visit to this fantastic hotel and was even better than our first. The staff cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much for them. The food is fantastic and the drinks are great too. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of space and the hotel is spotless. Will definitely be back.

For many years I have been a guest at the Riu Palace Maspalomas at almost every season. However, this year's summer vacation was a bitter disappointment. The food is of poorer quality than ever before, unseasoned, poor taste, and herbs are unknown to the chef. It wasn't much more than canteen food. Lots of new staff who weren't quite fit yet, but also many new guests who came from the still closed 3 * Riu Don Miguel and created a new "atmosphere" . At and in the pool I felt like I was in the children's amusement park: screeching and hooting everywhere, ball games, water animals, air mattresses in the pool, etc. pp. Everything forbidden, but the pool staff was not interested. At the reception they only said: There is nothing we can do about that. Well, as someone looking for peace and quiet with a certain standard, I can do something, namely no longer book. In every season.

A good place to visit the dunes, crossing the common areas of the hotel. When they built the hotel they promised to respect the passage to the dunes and the beach, forever and they are doing it.

Another stay in a RIU hotel and there is hardly anything to complain about. The location is perfect, right on the Maspalomas dunes. So you are relatively soon on the beach, which is beautiful. The gastronomy is also excellent. Breakfast and dinner offer a rich buffet.
I didn't like the restaurant as much as it reminds me of a dining room despite the ambience. The tables are very close to each other and as a solo traveler I would have preferred a place where I would have been more than 30 cm away from the couple next to me. Incidentally, I also suspect that the people sitting next to me would have been more comfortable.
The rooms are okay, but above all clean.
In the evenings there is a well-audible music program every day, which I didn't like very much because I wanted to read my books on the balcony, but that's a matter of taste. It's a shame that there was smoking all around on the balconies - and not too short. I had neighbors smoking left and right. As a result, it was hardly possible to sleep with the balcony door open, as there were also smokers in my area who had to get up at night to smoke. In my opinion, a separation should be made, smokers in one wing and non-smokers in the other. I know it's a difficult subject.
The staff is incredibly accommodating, hard-working, helpful, polite and appreciative. I also have the impression that the working atmosphere is pretty good. Or very good. You are perceived and welcomed as a guest and that by everyone. After a few days I noticed that the director of the house, Marisa Abalos, regularly walks through the facility. I have the impression that she has her team, us guests and the house perfectly under control.
In my experience, the staff can keep up with * * * * * hotels.
In short: almost everything is perfect, I recommend the house with a clear conscience and would check in again.

Incredible views on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The food is awesome. And the service is excellent. The guests are more than 60 years up. The gym probably a bit neglected. But if the price does not bother you have a great place to stay here.

I expected a bit of sophistication when I booked this hotel, but unfortunately there appears to exist a practice of "filling up" the place with last-minute budget hunters. We had some peculiar days with neighbours who thought it necessary to discuss the worst banalities at the top of their voices on the balcony, and throughout the night (we do not like paper walls either, I have to admit).
RIU also markets its environmental initiatives, posing as an environmental champion and encouraging guests to buy local foods, etc. Unfortunately, none of that is reflected in their own management, for instance with regard to their buffets (who needs schnitzels in the morning??), or the room cleaning practices, where towels will be removed every day, whether you want them changed or not. The location is very nice, but the place does just not live up to expectations. Very friendly staff!

Really good hotel in a spectacular location overlooking the famous Maspolomas sand dunes which are totally breathtaking. The best thing about the hotel are its staff who look after your every need and are always courteous and pleasant to speak to. The entire hotel is old looking in style and decor but we felt this added to its charm. The lounge areas were spotlessly clean and well maintained as was our room. The pool area is absolutely fine although the pool itself isn't heated. What surprised us is that a hotel so favoured by elderly clients had fairly poor access for disabled and infirm to the pool area. There was only one ramp which was narrow and too steep for anyone using a non electric wheel chair or walking aid. On the plus side the food was very good, varied choice every night and if you choose to dine in the Krystal restaurant during your stay you will definitely enjoy the experience. There was entertainment every night which again suited the older clientele but it was absolutely fine. Overall we enjoyed this hotel but wouldn't return as its definitely ore suited to the over 60s.
