Top hotel, perfect service, great location, great food, well maintained and clean. Very clear recommendation who likes it quiet. No animation except evening music. 10min to the beach, great views of the dunes. Surfing, diving etc. Possible.

Was kindly asked to leave the hotel lobby as we are not a guest at the hotel, did not have to see the facade tiles, could be our next holiday was at this hotel.

It was our first time in Gran Canaria and our first time in a RIU hotel. We liked the hotel area. Food was good although it was repeated. I noticed that some tablecloths had small holes. There was even always champagne for breakfast. The food in the Krystal restaurant was excellent. The room was clean. Foehn could blow more power and make-up mirror was too high for me (1.59cm). Hotel staff very courteous and friendly. I only used the pool twice because we were on the beach behind the dunes. I found the pool too warm. We were here in August 2014. A pool ladder unfortunately wobbly so that you think when you get out of the pool it is coming straight away. Otherwise we would book this hotel again. We had a room with a sea view from the 2nd floor and half board. You don't have to have all inclusive here in the region.
At this time of the pandemic, the best place chosen by, safety and hygiene measures, professionalism of all staff, comfort in all, food. In short, they are all compliments on our part.
The fabulous hotel. Very good care. And excellent food. From five to eight they play an electronic piano and it is very uphill from the rooms because the volume is very loud. Otherwise an excellent hotel.

I love this hotel . But everything has to be said, I only know it from the outside, because from the photos I can tell and show that it is a charm, the place where it is located is perfect, the entrance to the hotel is beautiful, the path and entrance to the dunes is as majestic as the same hotel. It always looks clean, it has clothing and gift shops inside the hotel, a bellboy at the reception door, taxis at the door, a bus stop also at the entrance. Shopping centers very close have everything close by for tourists who like to walk.
I would love to meet you inside a couple of days staying at this hotel will have to be perfect. The Riu chain stands out for its attention, the staff always attentive and ready to meet the needs of its customers.
For me they deserve a 10 out of 10. It is the ideal hotel to spend the holidays.

A wonderful place to relax. More suitable for couples or small groups of more experienced people. Visiting them makes it very quiet and relaxed - families with children would not fit in very well (I noticed that the two kids (different families) stand out very much because they were, of course, a little bit more lively, as children are) , Please do not misunderstand - it should be a neutral assessment :) I would recommend families a different place just to be exuberant.
I am here with my partner and we love it. It is amazing how nice and accommodating the staff is. You drive down immediately !! Staff speaks German (not aaaalle but most, so it was enough :)

Everything is taken care of to perfection and well maintained. Decor has a warm and classic look. There is a great atmosphere. Staff is sincerely friendly. The garden around the pool is spacious and beautifully laid out. Buffets are well varied.

Too bad you have to eat in two shifts, if you eat late and you want to see what there is to do in the bar they immediately ask you what you want to drink and you feel obliged to take something and that is not pleasant. It has exceeded our expectations with respect to last year as we have found greater variety and quality in the presented restoration and in turn a greater personalized attention. You can certainly improve much more especially in the variety at noon in the restoration but we have been satisfied.

Plenty of facilities here for visitors. Pools and bars are well served and beautifully presented. Service is good in all areas. Rooms are well appointed. It has good access to the sand dunes.
For three stars really very good. Everything was very clean. Food could be a bit warmer.

Guests are all on average between 40-90 years old, so everything is very quiet and civil. Can only recommend here to go on vacation

Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas is de facto a 5 * hotel in the classic style of a grand hotel. The interior is timelessly tasteful and in a very good state of preservation and care.
Small disadvantage carpets, but not defective. There are no signs of use.
The dinner is extremely varied, tasty and very extensive.
There is something for everyone here.
A highlight is the two-part, but connected pool area in the palm garden. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Their language skills in English and German is sufficient for the dining room.

The house is not suitable for singles and young people looking for contacts.
Dance music only in a modest setting in the bar. A very quiet house all day long, also at both pools.
Compared to before, the audience has become much more "bourgeois".
The hotel is also popular with gay men. These guests are not unpleasant because of their behavior, even in small numbers. But when someone in his late fifties sits at the next table with his very young "lust boy", tolerance crumbles.

I stayed at the Riu Palace with my wife and kids in mid January, the hotel is right at the sand dunes where we had a lot of fun running around playing on the dunes. There are shops near by if you need anything extra. The rooms are well kept and we really couldn't fault them. Special mention to the staff who were great with the kids always showing extra effort to talk to them. The only thing I would mention to other families traveling at this time of year is that there were almost no other children there making us feel a little like the odd one's out.
