The hotel is not bad, a little old and too many foreigners, the hospitality people are great. But be careful if you want to rest and sleep late, it is impossible, the cleaning ladies make an impressive noise and it is impossible to sleep more than 8 in the morning. They also made me feel terrible because they entered without warning on the last day and at reception they have a big mess with the check out and they do not respect your departure time. I will not come back

Nice hotel but you are woken up by the cleaning colons on the ground floor every morning. It feels like 50 times they drive past the room and make a huge noise in the morning. Why not just use rubber wheels? They make less noise. No inflatable items are allowed at the pool. Most people do it anyway, only we have been admonished. Equal rights for all? !
Always happy to go to the Riu Palace Maspalomas. We have known the house for many years and love to come back again and again. The house is getting on in years, but everything is very well maintained and in contrast to the Riu Pallace Meloneras or Oasis has a lot more charm. Great garden with palm trees and a large pool, spacious rooms and a wonderful view of the dunes of Maspalomas. But the hotel impresses above all with its excellent staff. Starting with the director, through the service team in the restaurant and bar, and the reception to the in-house technician. Extremely polite and courteous. Breakfast and dinner are also of very good quality and very varied. The implementation of the Corona protective measures was also implemented very well compared to other hotels. Only the clairaudience in the house and especially between the rooms is a small deduction in the rating. Thank you for the great vacation days! We will be back...
Very nice and excellent food. If I have something negative it is that the carpet was not very clean and I think it was not disinfected. It did not smell clean. Rest very well. Would return. Thank you
This is a nice hotel which one might presume used to be, a long time ago, very nice. It's in need of renovation, but the pricing is in line, which makes it somewhat of a bargain considering its location adjacent to the famous dunes of Maspalomas and the lovely sand beach. The breakfast buffet was very good, not great, and the same could be said of the service. The exercise room is rather minimal, the swimming pools are of an old design but still very nice. The furniture in public areas is well worn. I didn't have dinner there (I prefer the variety of dining out) so can't comment on the quality of food outside of breakfast. Overall I would say it is good value for the money, but don't expect great luxury or modern design. Enjoy it before they decide to renovate and it becomes much more expensive.
I probably had my best vacation here in my life. Admittedly, I hadn't really spent much time in the hotel, but the time was extremely nice. The beds were perfect. Big and just the right hardness. The rooms were always clean and, above all, big enough. Cleaning is done until 4 p.m. So if you can't find a clean room, you've done something wrong yourself. The staff was gigantic. As a learner to the language, they almost playfully helped me understand Spanish better. However, it is also possible in German. The breakfast was rich and varied. The time is inconvenient when you are gone late, but then you just lie down again afterwards. Speaking of going away. The hotel is in the perfect location for this. After you come to the hotel from the beach (the dunes are right in front of the door), you have just enough time to relax and get ready for dinner. The buffet there, which changes daily, is also very varied. I stood in the hall with the buffet and wanted to scream with happiness for the first few days! Small drawback: If you want to pay for your drink directly in the evening, you will be disappointed. You will receive an invoice at the end of your vacation.
And important: if you take people to your room and stay overnight, you have to pay the price for one night. However, you will be pointed out again beforehand.
If you fly at the right time, you won't see too many rolators. I was around mid to late August. The last day was senior's day, the days before zero.
We both really enjoyed this holiday it was a very special one for us . Food and service second to none , very high standard of service . Thoroughly recommend although do be aware of the naturists as there are many ! Not for the easily offended !

An ideal hotel for a dream vacation. The staff is very kind, the rooms are spacious and the food is fine. It's a hotel where people do everything to make people happy. A small modernization would be welcome: There is solid carpet in the rooms, bath-shower with a curtain, no lighting on the terraces of the rooms, room safe little accessible.
An exceptional hotel with the best location in Playa del Ingles. On top of the dunes of Maspalomas, with impressive views, classic-style rooms, which are very good. Superb hotel very well located (dunes, shopping, ...). Very nice and helpful staff! Impeccable room cleanliness, excellent and varied food. BUT, I remove a star because the big negative point is at the level of the swimming pool (the second with the jets). Indeed it is forbidden to reserve the deckchairs in advance by putting down your towel and yet when you arrive after breakfast around 8:30 am there is already no room to see any more space !!! In addition, there is no one watching. Otherwise very good stay.
Staff are excellent as is the food, the views are spectacular and would highly recommend this hotel. Only downside is the decor is slightly outdated but is cleaned so thoroughly this is not even noticed. Great hotel.
Very good food. Very very nice staff. Comfortably classically furnished rooms. Unfortunately, there are too few loungers at the pool, so that no free loungers can be found at lunchtime. Due to the covered balconies, the smoke of the smokers draws to the neighbors in the room. This is particularly annoying if you want to sleep with the door open at night. It takes 20 minutes to get to the beach through the hot dunes. Otherwise very nice garden with cozy pools. Not as sterile as in the Riu Meloneras. Great view of the dunes.
The hotel is really beautiful. As a single traveler I got, as unfortunately everywhere, first a room at the very end in the far corner. But after complaining I was able to move the next day in a much better located room. The food is very good. There is no wish left. Service is very pleasant and good. The hotel is very quiet and dignified, but that's what you want, if you want to relax. It is a pity that there are really guests who reserve two beach chairs at nine in the morning, and are not yet there at half past four. But the hotel can not do that. The pool area is wonderful. To the beach you can either over the dunes, but definitely wear closed shoes, or on the promenade. Walks are great, but of course you are not alone. I would recommend this hotel anytime. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but that's a matter of taste. The beds are very comfortable. For excursions the bus stop is very close above the area and it is no problem at all to take public transport. The dunes are naturally a force at sunset. Within minutes, they change colors. Beautiful!
Charming site, quiet and at the same time with march if you are looking for it. The education and the treatment is exquisite on the part of the personnel. The hotel is not modern in style, but it is great.
Good facilities and a great deal by the staff. It eats well and varied. I recommend trying the Krystal restaurant. It is far from the beach. The beds are very hard and have plastic mattress covers that makes noise and makes you sweat. Free WiFi

As we have stayed at the Riu Papayas, Riu Palmeras and now here at the Riu Palace, we must clearly say that the Riu Palmeras was the best and we will only take this when we spend our holidays in Gran Canaria.
The hotel is located in a unique enclave in front of the Maspalomas dunes both the rooms and the hotel facilities are spacious and well equipped, the swimming pools, gardens are very good, especially the staff is most attentive, the Hotel is highly recommended.
This is my second visit to RIU hotels the other was in Fuerteventura, both hotels offer a high standard, staff make everyone feel most welcome throughout the hotel. The restaurant offers buffet style food but freshly prepared it can be busy at times but the staff coped and were very attentive, noting was too much trouble. Cleanliness was a high standard everywhere. I did not enjoy the evenings entertainment but this is my personal taste and many did enjoy it but it never made my stay any less enjoyable.
Very nice hotel but unfortunately 2 star deduction because although "children's pool" in the description is this practically not available. The two other pools are very nice but unfortunately for smaller children no shadow areas available. Possibly. a sail could be stretched over a small area or something similar. The rooms are a bit dated but still ok. Food was actually always top up at one time was the cheese at breakfast moldy (had threads on it) can happen but of course not be. Otherwise staff very nice and with the dunes in the background a beautiful view of the sea. It is also fast at the Faro Maspalomas or at various shopping shopping streets on the beach. Nevertheless, we would get the next time a RIU hotel in Meloneras because we like the area better and the beach is nicer and closer.
Great location, right in front of the dunes, so at night wonderfully quiet. A very nice hotel with extremely friendly staff. Everything gives an upscale impression. Renovation is scheduled for 2020, where nothing really makes the impression that this would be reorganization jam. The buffet in the evening is rich and simply delicious. We'll be back!
During our stay in this hotel, one week at the end of this month of July, we came to the conclusion of how important the staff, especially the management and the team that knows how to surround oneself, has in this type of establishment. We have been to others of the same or higher category, even on the same island, where perhaps there would be better facilities, more services, more promises if we want ..., however, in none have we felt so comfortable and well considered as in the Riu Palace Maspalomas , and this is not to be understood as a false and syrupy rally that can sometimes be tiresome, but rather a frank, polite and correct treatment as corresponds to this type of premises; And so from the first to the last of the staff by whom we were assisted, which we insist, is achieved with professionalism, dedication and surely the left hand of a very good management, which also makes us understand that in the end it is a benefit for all; And from here we want to congratulate, encourage and of course warn that only with daily and constant effort we continue to advance, because the best thing is to consider that every day that dawns there is nothing done, that we must continue fighting and it is never worth falling asleep on our laurels, not even taking a nap because it quickly becomes a vice. Jokes aside and to finish simply thank the Hotel Riu for having made it possible for us to spend a week very comfortable, that we have not had any problems or complaints from our arrival to our departure which is very much appreciated, and of course, reason to recommend. When you leave your home, that is really what you are looking for: peace, tranquility and good treatment, cleanliness, good food, a pleasant atmosphere, great services ... and we have found it all here. Absolutely beautiful, top location. Right behind the hotel you can walk comfortably over the dunes to the sea or enjoy the starry sky in the evening. Appears very classy and upscale, nice staff. All in all it was a very successful vacation there.

Beautiful hotel, the decor is old fashioned but beautifully kept and gave it a lovely relaxed atmosphere . Excellent service, staff speaking English, German, French and even Dutch, very impressive. The food is excellent with your own allocated table for dinner . We had a lovely room overlooking the Dunes with a lovely private balcony , one minor thing to get into the bath the step into it was very high there was a rail to hold onto but given the clientele is somewhat elderly this maybe hazardous also the water temperature in the shower was a bit hit and miss but this just being a bit picky, dressing gowns in bathroom were a nice touch . We would definitely stay here again, we had a lovely week . Thank you Riu Palace
Unfortunately, very upset ...... We should leave on Thursday, but spontaneously until Saturday extended, Wednesday evening where we came back in the room the door was not closed and stolen from my purse 100 . Did this process immediately at the front desk, we would only informed that the hotel director will contact us. This has not happened within the last 24 hours. But since we were here more often, theft in such a hotel, we definitely have no desire! We are all the more annoyed that we do not want to be aware of any responsibility. I can only say, we definitely do not come here !!! And can only recommend you to look for another hotel where you could be taken and also fly back home happy and restful. Something needs no tourist, because the trust is totally abused!

I can only recommend it absolutely great We booked the trip through THE operator is Tui. There is also an all-round carefree package. The corridors and also the room live up to the name "palace". Unfortunately, we couldn't find the switch for the air conditioning on the first night. Here I would like to be explicitly pointed out again, but everything that can be criticized is complaining about the very, very high Nevau. Hats off to the staff absolutely friendly and upfront and the suitcase boy is an absolute canon always fun to meet him. The pool is also very well maintained. Yes, from time to time there is a little sand which is caused by the wind. The cotails are priced in the upper Nevau but on vacation you can treat yourself to that, I would say
