Super expo, very well maintained, free entry and very architecturally original building
It is a beautiful building with 4 floors of varied exhibitions. After an afternoon of shopping and terraces in Las Palmas, it is advisable to visit the CAAM as a change. In addition to photos, portraits and paintings, video exhibitions are also available. Free entrance!
We saw a very nice retrospective of Damaso. The room is very good. A colonial-style building in the heart of Vegueta
Pepe Damaso's exhibition very interesting. Explained by its author.
The building and the views from the terrace are very good; the art inside ...
Important that is adapted for people with reduced mobility, chairs etc
And it is prescient
The exceptional telephone attention the guy who attended me, super friendly, also informed me of the workshops that they do under registration, a marvel. Thanks a lot.
CAAM exhibitions choose to focus on artists working on a Europe-Africa dialogue. I have already been to this center several times and I have often discovered quality artists, even if these names are not stars of contemporary art.
In the middle of the colonial streets of vegueta is the artistic expression of the exhibitions presented in this modern arts center, excellent facilities to spend a different moment surrounded by original creations.
The best museum space in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
Currently this establishment is for the artist Menrique. The stronghold of this artist is located on the island of Lanzarote. Every site of this artist is a marvel. This exhibition which has been realized plunges us into his daily talent. Do not miss. Moreover, the exhibition is called "free"
A stunning range of modern art in a visually exciting building. Plenty of interest of any ages and a small balcony area to enjoy refreshments from vending machines.
Essential museum in the city. Interesting temporary collections.
As of the date of this comment, the permanent exhibitions are closed for work. But this is not the first time we visit this superb museum of modern art. A must if you go through Las Palmas. Here are the photos of the temporary exhibition of the moment
The best modern art center in the Atlantic. Wonderful facilities in an emblematic place of the city.
Emblematic location of contemporary culture in the Canary Islands. It is recommended to follow the agenda of events and workshops with local and international artists. Do not miss it if you are in Vegueta.
Impressive is the diverse range of young art in the CAAM. A historic building with a beautiful patio, in which the musicians of the JazzCAAM '19 play.
(Great club atmosphere)
This museum is a gem. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times. I went with a person with special needs and they helped us a lot.
Beautiful modernist architecture art gallery on four floors be found hidden behind traditional Spanish 17th century stone facade in old town Las Palmas. On my recent visit exhibition of Canarian major artist and environmentalist Manrique. Whenever I visit Las Palmas I always drop in and always find interesting off piste well curated and always interesting exhibitions
Very interesting proposals and outstanding artists. Brutal!!!!!!
Delighted with the treatment received, I went with my children and the oldest wants to repeat. A great job with the security measures for the covid-19. There are elevators if you go with a cart or have a wheelchair. I was delighted to see that you also try to send a message through art. We will be back
A different exhibition to see. Highly recommend going see.
Magnificent museum. At this moment there is an exhibition of Cesar Manrique that should not be missed
Nice museum of modern art, free admission. Worth a visit.
Nice building, and lovely views of the cathedral. Masses in the cathedral on Sundays at 10, 12, 13 hours and in the afternoon at 19 hours, a magnificent place to hear and enjoy the mass. Balconies street, of course.
Masses from Monday to Friday are every day at 8.45 in the morning. Saturdays are at 8.45 am in the afternoon at 7 pm.
I did not know this museum.
Recommendable .
Located in the heart of the city.
Fascinating exhibition about Cesar Manrique in a very suitable environment. Admission free.
Well located and I recommend it to visit the surroundings
interesting contemporary art. i wish there was more at the display! also nice building and free entrance
Great place for modern art . We just ran to Manrique exhibit, but you have to go visit his home town, his house at Lanzarote.
Now the entry is free! Always something interesting to see.
Good museum! Entrance without cost. When entering if you have backpacks you will have to leave them at the lockers that work with 1 coin of 1 euro (when you leave the locker returns the currency). The museum has 3 large floors in which you can see several exhibitions and works. It has an elevator, bathrooms on each floor and a beautiful terrace with armchairs overlooking the back of the Cathedral of Santa Ana. Before entering the terrace you will find a couple of vending machines in case you are hungry.
They do an incredible job with what they have here! Not only do they go out of their way to get the most exquisite and exclusive pieces of art for the exhibitions, they also organize concerts, workshops, conferences and other cultural activities for a wide range of interests. Best of all, almost all activities are free or for only a few euros, which makes them accessible to anyone. The museum mostly features local artists, but sometimes international artists as well, and they even have space for new talents.
It is free, with exhibitions from Africa and Latin America. The attention of the staff is exquisite
I think the concha Jerez exhibition is fantastic. Removes things.
Things like that make artistic displays unmatched moments and highly desirable.
Big....
Free entrance, however I didnt find it interesting. Mostly modern art paintings (2-3 painters if I remember correctly) with no description or a scarce one in Spanish only. They dont charge you for entrance, so thats good in case you dont like it. If you do, you can leave a tip in the box.
The Center always contains very interesting exhibitions
A place where you can have a good time surrounded by varied art

International Exhibitions of Contemporary Art Exhibitions
One of our cultural jewels, which makes the Canary Islands a bridge between 3 continents. Essential. Admission is free and you can request guided tours, also free, for groups from a number of people. On the CAAM website you can find the contact number to request them
Two-story museum taking advantage of the construction of the building that has modern works from certain times before our century. It seems that everything is going to break, since you have constant harassment in each More
Very beautiful place located in a superb historic district
Great spectacular building, well located. Free. Good exhibitions.
Is rather boring and not very modern art.
An interesting exhibit directly on the ground floor at the entrance.
Then there is on the first floor still a very comfortable hanging on the ceiling armchair.
There are free clean toilets.
Free on Wednesdays, with a fascinating terrace where you can have a coffee, very very interesting exhibitions
Particularly not too large a building with free access to changing exhibitions.
I loved this space, it is very worth it. It was dedicated to local artists with some very interesting proposals. It's a shame that the terrace was closed and I don't know how to hold events. However, the center is in the beautiful neighborhood of Vegueta, which is worth walking through
Excellent samples of Modern Art. The building is another wonder. Museum staff very friendly. Must visit in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Beautiful works. Optimum structure. Support live music in the street.
You really need to like modern art to enjoy this place
Beautiful modern arts museum, with a constantly changing exhibition. During our visit, there was an exhibition by Jerez, a committed feminist artist. She showed interesting installations about forgotten women, the European Union, mass media and a tragedy in the Canary Islands forgotten in the rest of the world during the Franco coup. Entrance is free! You can donate in a box at the entrance.
Nice building, nice setting but 2 negatives. 1) I did not like the current exhibition. 2) the staff is very noisy among themselves which is not pleasant at all in a museum.
Closed for renovations, although on balconies 9. There is an exhibition of marbles to recover the tradition for children and not so children.
Demanding exhibitions in an appealing ambience. Shop to the museum.
The building itself is a marvellous fusion of medieval and modern architecture, just that meets a visit on its own. I love the local permanent exhibition as they give you insight into the unquote artistry world of the canary islands that blends so many influences. There are also temporary exhibitions, at the time of my visit I deeply was impressed by the queer/feminist work of Zoulikha Bouabdellah - entitled very aptly - Inverted. Loved it! Oh, and make sure to relax in the roof top lounge! It s architecture is stunning and so are the views.
A magnificent museum in the old neighborhood of Vegueta that has a very friendly staff and willing to help the visitor. Exceptional explanations
It was a nice gallery spread out over 4 floors it was free entry.
The space is as interesting as the works on display
Modern building dedicated to temporary exhibitions and presentation rooms. In the heart of the old town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. On the roof you have an outdoor seating area with a nice view of the cathedral. It also has a small store.
