I have been a guest at this hotel for holidays since 2007. The quality of this establishment is of the highest standard, it entertains anecdotally some of the best patronage of repeat visits by guests going back almost 20 years. That speaks to the services, the friendliness and welcoming atmosphere of this place.
The views from the high floors of this hotel are stunning, of the dunes all the way to the sea.
Having spent over 200 nights altogether at this hotel, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Gran Canaria.

The hotel is decorated in a traditional style and is a high quality. The service is excellent and always delivered with a smile that makes you feel that they really mean it. The meals were of a very high standard and there was plenty of choice. Entertainment at the hotel was good. The general area around the hotel is quite and it is situated right next to the sand dunes. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for another holiday as overall it is one of the best hotels i have stayed at.
I spent a week at the Riu Palace Maspalomas. Overall, the hotel makes a very good impression. The welcome was warm with sparkling wine. The complex is large with two swimming pools, 1 jacuzzi and 1 massage pool. Everything was very clean, around the pools around beach chairs are placed, from the hotel you get for the beach chairs extra towels you can change daily, in the morning at the main pool. The hot tub is suitable for up to 4 people and has really big bubbles. The typical thing about the guests is that they occupy the beach chairs with towels in the morning and then show up at some point, although according to house rules this is not allowed. A big minus point is that the pool is only allowed from 08.00 to 19.00 o'clock. Unfortunately, the hot tub also works from 11 o'clock in the morning. Especially after a hot day, I would like to hop in the evening again in the pool. Maybe this is due to the older clientele from 60 upwards ....... At least not understandable. At the pools from half eleven also drinks or snacks. The service was always very friendly and fast. The cocktails were delicious but for 8,95 Euro ehr light mixed. A big plus receives the breakfast buffet. First class and huge. Even sparkling wine was available to everyone every morning. The snack bar receives a big minus at the pool. I had frilled fish and scampies and shrimp. The shrimp were still going, but the rest was not really bad. Likewise the Minnipizza with salami and champions was grottig. The dough was rock hard and the coating partially burned. So from 5 stars only 1. The rooms are large enough for two people, we had sea view and it was a great view from a large balcony over the dunes to the sea. Each balcony has two garden chairs with changeable backrests and two foot stools. Also a small washing machine is on the balcony. The beds were comfortable and clean. There is also Wi-Fi, but a good connection is rare, again and again demolition, only in the lobby good reception .... Pity. Here should be made improvements. The bathroom was also very clean with bathtub or shower curtain for showers. Cinnamon service was impeccable. Food and drinks can be booked without problems directly to the room with signature. Tip should you then have it in the bar. Another big minus was that the dinner was allowed to be taken only with appropriate clothing, so long pants duty and shirt. I'm sorry but that's not contemporary and the hotel does not have this upscale style either. We have completely skipped dinner and instead went to the Jumbo Center for dinner. That was first class and also inexpensive. Too bad that such a practice is applied here. Overall, I can recommend the hotel, but you should reconsider the restrictions beforehand.

A great hotel, very large with 2 pools pleasant water temperature and very clean. The rooms are large, beds very comfortable. It is important to hygiene and cleanliness. Cleaning service was very good; beautiful pool area with a whirlpool; We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea and the dunes a great view. It is quiet, in the evening / at night you can hear nothing from outside. Staff was excellent. Never experienced such a good service! Almost all speak very good German and really try hard to make the guest happy. We got tips on where to go, about transport and all sorts of things. The food was very good. It was always fresh and delicious, every evening there were different dishes (huge selection). A top hotel. An extra praise goes to Javi (front desk) we will be back

Fantastic view directly into the sand dunes. The widest sandy beach you can imagine: just under 1km!
The hotel is extremely pleasant, the almost all the staff if not German, then at least English and usually a few other languages. In the dining room you have your personal waiter who knows the preferences after 2 days and offers correspondingly fast service.

Hotel:
On the whole a nice hotel. It is, just like most guests, a bit old. The rooms were always clean and the buffet rich and varied. Evening entertainment is given. Little kids and no loud booming music.
Beach:
The walk (15 minutes) to the beach is in the scorching sun through the dunes not necessarily recommended. The beach itself is spacious and wide. There are free and staked paid mattresses.
Location:
There is not much to do in the direct environment. Here I recommend Meloneras near the beach (about 10 minutes by taxi). Beautiful hotels / restaurants right on the sea invite you to linger.

I just went to have a coffee before entering the dunes, but although classic for my taste, they treated us terrific and the coffee was delicious. There was a grand piano that promises some very nice dinners.
The best thing about this hotel the staff and the location. After several years visiting this hotel, I have seen how an old and out of fashion hotel has become little by little. Unfortunately the facilities are old and lacking in maintenance, during the stay I felt very hot and they told me that the only solution is to open the windows, despite the fact that the hotel has air conditioning. The buffet has lost the quality of other years, even one day I found that the tomatoes were fermented, I have to say that I informed the staff and they reacted but still this kind of thing should not happen.
Accommodation, food, service ..... everything is excellent .... it couldn't be better .... we are here for the third time and are very satisfied again. A new situation for us all with a mask and other walking paths but by no means bad. We try to guarantee our safety. We are grateful to be able to be here. Carry on, we'd love to come back.
From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt the friendliness of all the staff. What a fantastic hotel with an excellent backdrop of the Maspalomas sand dunes. The room we had was a Sea View and what a view. The cleanliness was outstanding the facilities first class and the food ,what a varied selection all prepared to a high standard . Overall nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. A definite jewel in the crown .We would recommend this hotel without a doubt Keep up the good work
We appreciate the service a lot in terms of the amanility of the workers. But unfortunately I slept badly because the mattress was very bad and my back was grinding !!!!! But hey, nothing can be fixed with a good massage !!!
