Wow free parking what else you want.
I won big in the casino. Try Indian buffet it's ok better then outside.
Beware! We booked a room with a king bed. They substituted two double beds without telling us. We found out when we got to the room. We called the front desk. They said come back down (with all your luggage) and we will get that taken care of. We get all the way back down only for them to tell us there are no king bed rooms available and basically take it or leave it. So, with no place else to go, we take the room. We go back up. The room is set to 70 and it is at least 78 if not 82 degrees in the room. A/C broke. Nice.... Weirdly when I go to the web site, I can still book a king bed room for tonight. Not impressed.
All right room. But no charge for parking was a plus!!
I recently participated in the World Series of Poker. A lot of people complain about the Rio, but it brings so much nostalgia for me. It's always freezing cold, which I enjoy. They should increase security in the parking lots, however.
Great experience, I just hope the Rio didn't allow ppl to smoke, it's incredible. Perplexing.
Went to the Rio to have breakfast at the Hash House A Go Go located there. Just as good as the one located at the Lynq, and far less crowded. If you're the type of person that loves absolutely gigantic portions, Hash House is definitely for you.
I was here for a convention for the show Supernatural. I decided to stay at the Rio for the sake of convenience so I wouldn't have to Uber it multiple times a day. I don't regret ir one bir. The staff were very professional and helpful. The casino was always clean and well kept. I also appreciated that the signage was easy to follow so I could get to and from the convention.
This rooms in this hotel are really falling into disrepair. Half the electrical sockets in our room just did not work, so charging a phone or laptop was like a lame treasure hunt. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling and in one place had a random sticker covering an empty spot. The tile around the tub needs new grout. The area below one sink had a baseboard cracked and missing entirely. Remember, this place is billed as an "all-suites hotel." Fortunately the beds are reasonably comfortable and the room is indeed large.
The casino itself is passable but one of the more dated ones on the strip. If you enjoy the female form the outfits for the cocktail waitresses, dancers and some dealers are pleasing to the eye.
Food options here are decent but not great. The Guy Fieri place was surprisingly good. The All-American joint is unremarkable. The rooftop lounge has great views and the catered for up there for large events is actually quite good.
Expect a long line at the check-in counter if you're here for a conference. The convention facilities are large and spacious.
Enjoyed the slots and NO parking fee... so you can spend as much time as you want at the Rio.
Vincent the manager was professional and nice to me he needs a promotion
Had a great day friendly staff. Big clean hotel rooms. Hotels a little dated but was still nice and a bargain for the price.
Had a great experience there. The staff were helpful and really made the experience for me whether they were the front desk staff or the dealers at the tables. The rooms them selves could use a little more attention for improvement but still had a great stay with a great view. I was there for business and it was a great experience through and through.
Great hotel for various entertainment options. Went to a ska show at one of their clubs. They have a zipline and various bars/restaurants. It's also located close to the new strip. The rooms were big but the furniture (sofa and cabinet) are a tad aged and need to be replaced. I will return if good deals are available.
Nice hotel. Room is a little outdated but clean. They have 3 pools. The food in the hotel is reasonably prices. Since its off the strip its closer to the dispensaries.
Worse and expensive buffet. All family members disappointed and sickened. I never will back.
Buffett was good. Pricey but good. Short line on a Tuesday evening.
Coming from Chicago, the fact that the whole casino/hotel permits smoking indoors is beyond me. I get that it's a "Casino Thing," but my lungs and eyes shouldn't pay the price. There's got to be some sort of air purifier, but I sure didn't feel it. Aside from that, room's great; not sure why there's a little window that allows people to peek into the shower/bathroom from the bedroom though. Gym's amenities we're great and the pool looked good too.
Very nice place. Restrooms were very scarce in poker gaming area.
Wait staff was very accommodating though.
I don t know if u like dark and out of date places but if u do stay here . The room need to all be updated they are yuck !! The service is good tho and they have pretty good food.
Went to see Penn and Teller. It was a lot of fun. The most unbelievable part was that they wait to talk and take pictures with everyone after. If you're a fan, this should be a no brainier.
Big room! Fun zipline! But I can't believe they want $5.10 for a little Chobani yogurt! Omg!
The World Of Wonder show is amazing and is worth it, especially for families. Stage could be bigger but the performance is exceptional
We were told that this was the buffet to eat at... with fresh fish and crab legs. Not the case. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything to write home about. The deserts were good. But over all, we won't return as we could get something similar at half the cost. Huge bummer. :(
This place is okay. Stayed last night in a comped room. It was clean. The decor was old and badly in need of renovation. Stains on the carpet and couch. The bed was super old. You could feel every spring in the mattress. The tub drained very slowly. I was standing in ankle deep water for most of my shower. There's a window from the room into the shower. Who designed this?!?!? Who wants to shower with everyone in the room watching???? Very, very odd. The slots were super tight. I don't recommend playing here.
My in-laws stayed at this hotel over Spring Break. We brought the kids over to visit and to use their pools. While they had ample chairs by the pools, several of them were closed (not sure why). They offered semi-inexpensive snacks (chicken fingers, hot dogs, burgers) and had an area where we could smoke cigars (bonus). A very kid-friendly pool atmosphere compared to other hotel pools in Vegas.
Room was really nice and clean. Views of the mountains on the side we stayed were great. Staff was wonderful and pleasant. So much to do in this hotel also. We'd stay again.
Can I rate below a #1? You have to wait in a long line to check in and out. The room we got stunk so bad I will never go back. The staff in the bar at the roof top were extremely rude, and you couldn't sit on the furniture unless you paid to be VIP. I will never go back, ever!
Went for mom's 65th birthday & quickly realized Las Vegas don't do hospitality well. They overcharge you for everything, I thought I was going to receive a bill for breathing.
We waited long time for check-in. The room was OK. This hotel service excellent breakfast buffet that you shouldn't miss it! It is a bit far from heart of crowds and activities in Las Vegas though. They offer shuttle to go around.
Rooms are very spacious and large. Room service was exceptionally great and my room was service by Hilda and she was wonderful person. I give her 10 for greatness.
I've attended an annual conference here three times. The convention center is a great event venue and it's very convenient to stay in the hotel, though it's a bit of a hike from the Strip and can feel a little isolated. Luckily there are enough food and entertainment options inside the Rio and the Gold Coast next door that one could easily spend an entire weekend without leaving the area. The hotel rooms are all suites and very spacious and comfortable. I was given an option to decline housekeeping in exchange for dining credit, but I did not figure out how to redeem the credit.
The place is so run down. Even the cabinets would not close or stay closed
I went for the buffet which NO longer does the crab or any other BIG ticket buffet items. Overpriced for what their selection currently is. Should advertise that better seeing as has been over 3 years according to the host.
Great service by housekeeping and front desk. Very friendly and prompt. Rooms are old and need change of furniture. No basic amenities like kettle, coffee maker, water bottle and vanity kit available in the room. There r resort charges of 40$ per day which are additional to the room rate.
One of the best hotels in Vegas even though it's not on the strip! It's just a block away. I highly recommend it, the staff is awesome!
Rooms are old, and outdated. Service is horrendously slow, and food options are bleh at best.
The hotel was awful. The food is awful. There were big tears in the carpet and masking tape have been put down to hold the carpet together. There was also broken tile on the floor I almost tripped twice and fell because of that. The food at the carnival buffet was terrible do not eat there.
The food was good, it was the last place we hit on our buffet of buffets and still had some different options, but we mostly had dessert
Upon arrival my room smelt and looked clean. This hotel is off the strip so be mindful of that. A free shuttle is provided to Harrahs permitting you sign up for their complementary rewards card. Shuttle service starts at 10 am so if you are visiting Vegas for a convention like myself and need to be at the convention center early I would suggest staying closer to avoid a taxi or uber fare. Customer service is good here. My room needed to be changed and I received great service with my room swap. This is my second visit to this hotel and would most likely stay here again.
Stayed here for my honeymoon in the Ipanem tower for 8 days, I enjoyed it because I was with my husband. However the main hotel was lack luster. You have to pay daily resort fees but there are no free amenities, if you want coffee or tea-PAY, you want glasses to use in your room(that you will return)-PAY.. The Valet was free and valet staff was great! The cleaning staff was nice but the room was outdated, stains on the couch, furniture ws worn. They provide you a fridge and and ice bucket but no microwave nor coffee maker. I would not suggest this hotel in the future.
Booked online for 50 dollars a night. Got there and was informed that I had to okay a 45 dollar resort fee. Still wondering what kind of resort they think they are running. It is a casino with a hotel and swim pool. They did has a good Indian buffet. Due to the resort fee and the long wait time on elevators I would not recommend this place. Rooms are nice but the resort fee game has turn me off to them. Could have spent the same money and stayed at a better place with better environment. They should also move the Starbucks because the line clogs the hallway. I think we can all do better and go somewhere else.
It was great to stay at the Rio for New Year's eve. Great service, spacious rooms it is off the strip however for that night celebration they close all the street and it is easy to get to the Caesars hotel to see the fireworks.
We were given a upgrade to a penthouse suit. I have never seen anything like it. It was two stories and bigger then any apartment I have ever seen. The whole stay was magical. It was me and my bff first weekend get away and there is were I fell in I've with him.
This was my 1st time at the Rio. Upon checking in, I got the standard room and was pretty disappointed with not just the dated look but quite a few things were breaking down and would probably have given the Rio 1* but I decided to get an upgraded room and wow did that make an impact in my trip! I have posted extensively on my new upgraded room with a wonderful Jacuzzi although 1/2 the jets didnt work, it was a great experience.
I want to commend the housekeeping staff Especially Rosita and the Front Desk Cyrus to ensure I had a great stay. But most importantly, A HUGE thank you to Officer Gans and Front Desk Supervisor Cheryl who made it a point to personally turn my trip into a spectacular weekend. You are the epitome of 5* service
We went to this location to see the show "WOW!" The show was quite good. The performers were amazing! The acrobatics, dancing, juggling, arrow shooting, etc. were all awesome. I did NOT like the roller skating part of the show. But the show, over all, was excellent.
The tickets are around $100 each depending on where you sit and what discounts you can get.
This show is child friendly with no nudity. Make sure to tell your kids NOT to try this when they get home!
Hotel was nice, but didn't have a chance to enjoy everything. Cant wait to go back!
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Check in was very slow when not using the kiosk. Checkout via the kiosk was quick and smooth. Proximity the the strip made it a nice place to stay without all the major traffic issues.
After price almost doubled by resort fee then charged over $22 to let us check in early. Very expensive food on site. Very impressed with size of basic room, no need to pay to upgrade. Unfortunately, the room is old and worn but upgrade may be the same. Carpet is freyed. Not enough plug ins for cpap and bedside items. Couch so worn out that cushions sunk down below edge so you felt like you sink to floor. Definitely uncomfortable. Room 1482 always had cold air blowing even when turning heat up. Furious that I was charged full price and then find note in room that water was going to be turned off from 1 -5 am but I get up at night and that was a problem. No running water should equal a discount! Fabuous employees at front desk and luggage handler, Marvin, both there 17 years. Best part of Rio. Concierge efficient and focused but needs to at least acknowledge others standing in line and feeling ignored. Cross train those just standing around at box office counter to help customers. Need a place to sit while waiting to be helped. Forgot a suitcase there and can't get help. Getting mixed messages about hours for lost and found, getting the run around and they don't keep their promise to call back. Will not stay there again.
Very decent hotel kind busy . Good restaurant and good size casino. Only complaint is 2 of the 4 elevators were not working for 2 days. Did have sum wait time. Other than that I would definitely return for another stay..
Went for the Penn and Teller show. Had a great time and most of the illusions were incredible. Just how did he add the fish to the empty fishbowl? Where did that elephant go? And how come they couldn't make my wife disappear when she got in the box? Highly recommend.
I bent down to tie my shoe at one of the machines setting my phone down on the chair. I had went and gambled for like about an hour. then I started to walk across the casino to the other side to where my car was parked. as I was getting to the entrance where I came in, I wanted to take pictures of some of the artwork that was on the wall. I went for my camera and noticed it was gone! my phone was gone! I ran back to security, and thank God that they had my phone! thank God! staff was just so gracious and so awesome!
Very nice big clean rooms nice pool.the valet parking is the best.very nice staff.
Overall a very good experience except for the carnival buffet. It's more like an Asian buffet.
Relay for life hosted by the American cancer society was an uplifting experience. The Miss Relay competition was my favorite moment when our friend Robert surprised us all with his song done as a cappella.
Very nice hotel! City view at night was perfect, room service very good, hotel location is near the main street (Vegas strip). Lovely people and stuff. Free parking
No breakfast buffet, which is why we went there. We went looking elsewhere. But it was a nice walk-through.
The hotel is nice. I have a nine year old daughter and I had one cashier yell at me that my daughter was not allowed to be on the floor. Not sure how I was supposed to get her from point A to point B in there. I told her she needed to learn how to talk to people.
One of the nights we were there the people next to us had a huge party, the smell of their cigarettes went under our joined door and our room smelled like an ashtray. Security did go by that party once and never came back. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon, especially with any kids.
We didn't stay at the hotel, but visited the casino and saw the Penn and Teller show. The casino was clean and they had a lot of slot selections. We had a blast here playing several different machines and winning pretty decent amounts. The staff was kind and friendly also! The Penn and Teller show was spectacular! I suggest checking this place out!
Voodoo Zipline. Whole family enjoyed it. Casino was cool too.
I booked a room and was on the phone to change reservation with someone that barely speaks English. I think ceasars can afford English speaking people to talk to me. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes. I asked to speak to a supervisor 4 times and never transferred. They tried to cancel reservations for days I never even booked. I had my confirmation number. What a headache this makes me want to never stay at one of there properties. Lord knows if they even canceled my reservation properly
Suites are nice. But they put the tv and fridge right smack in the middle of the room, blocking the big pane window view of the strip.
I lost money on the slots here and road the Zipline. I would recommend the Zipline not loosing money.
Rooms were comfortable to stay at, but the restrooms needed servicing, with faucets and shower heads having noteable calcium build up. Stayed at two different rooms in 3 days and this was the case at both rooms
VERY nice large suites at reasonable prices. Many dining options from food court to buffet to fine dining all reasonably priced. Enjoyable pool area. Large casino with free "shows in the sky". 2 showrooms.
We love the World Carnival Buffet. Definitely one of the best in Vegas.
3.5 the liveliness of BCA has not been the same since it's moved over to the Rio from the Riviera however the first year or two was really great but not having straight pool in one pocket does have a major effect on the outcome of the overall tournament in my opinion. No real benefit to being at the Rio just a little more expensive and less entertaining as far as billiard play..DJL7
Spacious with a comfortable king size bed. Lots to do without leaving the hotel. However, the TV placement is not ideal and some spaces could be better utilized. Considering it is so hot and there was no shade in the pool area they should provide umbrellas. It was the most affordable in that area at the time for what it offers.
I've stayed here one night and it was the longest week of my life. I couldn't check out fast enough. The room was terrible! There were water stains on the wall and I was playing poker at the Palms and it was terrible to get to from the Rio. Not convenient at all. So, I packed up and headed for the Palms were I got a great deal on a much better room.
Went to the Rio for the Penn and Teller show. We dined at Guy Fieri's joint. It was very enjoyable, both food and show. Guess what, I didn't pay 10 bucks to park.
We plan on going back to Las Vegas in a few months, and we plan on staying at the Rio. I didn't realize but we haven't stayed there for almost 8 years.
The Penn & Teller show brought us out to the Rio. The show and theater were great.
Casino is a bit of a hike from the strip. Might not be worth the trip if you're not going for the show. Nothing too unique here outside of a mini golf course.
Truck parking on Twain st love to stop with big truck and play for a few hrs when passing through. Call security desk make sure
Complimentary room upgrade just by talking to hostess waiting in check in line. Very nice hotel and casino. Will be back
Awesome place to stay. Great value. Very close to the strip. My second stay there. Good views. I'd stay again. Definitely recommend this place
Old, casino floor has an odor. Room large with small fridge. Coffee maker. Room old, needs major updating. Awesome views if mountains. Staff real nice. Free wifi for 2 devices, free parking. $35 per day for resort fees? What resort amenities. $20 to get in room before 4pm, got $10 reduced fee for no housekeeping. Off strip so quiet with little traffic. Very close to 15.
I did enjoy the pool very much. Overall, not a bad property.
Nice updates. Kids had a blast at the golf course here. Would come back.
So much fun, can t wait to go again went for our year anniversary and it was just amazing amazing staff also!!
I did not stay here, but saw the Cirque du Soliel show and visited the casino and rooftop nightclub (Voo Doo). Very cool place visually.
Food was good but less choices than I expected for the price. Glad I went through Groupon
I stopped in for KISS blacklight 3D mini golf! Beautiful hotel and casino. I also did the zipline. Its a super rad place.
The Rio is nice but expensive but they have lots of Starbucks! Lol
It is located close to the freeway. It has all the amenities you will need. Great staff. The only item you need to know is it is big and spread out. If walking is an issue you may need to rent an electric wheel chair or scooter to get around.
Took in the WOW show in my most recent visit to the Rio. Being just off the strip it always seems just a touch calmer there. Enjoyed the fun variety show very much. Nice stage and effects with lots to keep you entertained. Previously attended the Penn & Teller show and an planning to go again as it's definitely one of the Vegas highlights.
The hotel was nice the only issue was the bathroom in tge rooms needed to be updated.
I like the show, but it was missing something that would definitely have brought this show to another level
Beds very comfy.
Place was very clean and modern.
Employees were very helpful.
We like the Rio.
This place is old, very old, did i mention old? Anyways I was upset on i got in my room, no coffee maker, no microwave, very old furniture's couch was worn out . I stayed on the 24th floor view was the only thing I liked. This place needs a overhaul.
This review is JUST for the Carnival World Buffet... not the hotel or casino. The buffet is NOT worth $49 or whatever they are charging these days. I cannot attest to how this buffet "used to be" as this was our first time there, but we found it to be substandard for touting itself as high end. The dinner buffet is what I'm describing. The meat carving station was so-so. The chicken sausage not great, the pork ribs not fall-off-the-bone tender, the beef ribs so emaciated that about 90% of the bone was visible from tip to tip and again... not in the slightest bit tender. The Hispanic food section was "ok"... pretty hard to fail that culinary food bar. The Asian section, again, was decent and nothing to write home about. The dessert island was pretty scrumptious featuring many many tastes and textures of cakes, pies, custards, ice cream, and other baked sweets. Once again, fairly hard to get a low report grade when dealing with desserts... sugar is sugar! The "server" was friendly but because all the drinks are self serve she basically was there to clear away plates when finished... and give extra napkins. I would say at today's Vegas prices and trends, this is at $18.99 buffet. If they ask you to pay more take your money and hunger elsewhere.
Only attended an event but the parking was super compared to the Vegas hotels! Will certainly consider staying there in the future
We stayed here and it was cool specially the pools, the service, and the food yummy
A very strange, and highly regulated seating process followed by pretty but bland food. This establishment has absolutely no business cooking crawfish, that's officially the worst ever. Please put some seasoning on the food. A bright spot was the poke and seaweed salad. The Mongolian was decent too.
Eh..buffet was not as good as advertised. Dont go expecting seafood like it did. Big bummer.
Nice Place for the kids... They have sculptures of famous monuments made of clothes and lights. Thrilling Bike stunt inside and Metal cage was awesome...
