As a hotel, it's pretty nice. I'd talk about the slots, gambling, and multitude of bars, but it's Vegas. The room was quite large, with a decent view of the Strip and the rest of Las Vegas. For walking purposes, it's a little far to the Strip. Walking across an interstate overpass is not a very safe way to get there.

I always have a amazing time when I stay at the Rio. I have been upgraded several times. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have breathtaking views of Vegas and the strip. Rates are much better than strip and customer service always surpasses what I experience at the costly resorts.

Clean atmosphere active floor life fabulously well dressed cocktail waitresses and staff. Upscale yet not stuffy the Rio is well like carnival but a little more laid back. The rooms are great the amenities are fabulous need to shave forgot a tooth brush. No problem a quick selection on the TV menu and these and much more are on the way free of charge. The Rio can belt out the variety in the carnival world buffet. A true testament to variety and getting it your way all in one spot enjoy responsive staff too

This is a great place, great for memories great for comedy. If you know who Penn and teller are and you enjoy them this show is a must see great experience. Exspensive but worth every penny. These guys are unbelievably devoted to their fans. Such a fun experience. A great way to spend a night In Vegas, even with kids!

Was very dissapointed with my experience. Hotel outdated. Rooms are old and smelly. Elevators dont work only 2 i and I had to wait 30 minutes everytime to get to my room. Very ghetto I had to call security since the people in the room next to me were fighting from 3 to 6am. Litterally booked another hotel for the rest of my stay. Please if you want a nice hotel this is not it. I changed to the Ceasers palace. Worth the extra money.

Were told early check in was allowed. Got here and was told different and that 2 hour early check in was an additional $20 plus tax. Half the lights in the room didn't work, there were someone else's sock in the window sill, no in room coffee -only option was Starbucks or room service which was 10 per day for a water kettle. It was very disappointed and very much not worth the fee.

The rooms are out-dated decor-wise and a little bit ghetto (furniture with very visible signs of wear and abuse, walls with areas that need to be repainted, shower heads with hard water corrosion, cords fall out of telephones, etc) but the beds were surprisingly comfortable and the room was big. There were 3 of us in a 2 queen room... roll away was $20/night and there was plenty of space for all of us to spread out with our stuff. Id stay here again. Service was great. The buffet was awesome and affordably priced and the spa is a MUST! $99 for a Swedish massage and full use of the spa for the day. Best massage I've ever had.

Great eateries horrible rooms!!! Changed my room twice and both were terrible i checked out 2 days early!!! Mildew, ripped dirty carpet, dirty upholstery on couch, smokey fragrance. Makeshift construction. First and last time i will ever get a room there. Pool opens late and closes way too early. Great staff horrible hotel suites.

Our room here was amazing, with a great view of the town. The hotel is very clean and the staff is quick to help with any issues you may have.

Like all other hotels on the strip, it offers a variety of restaurants, bars, and clubs to chose from. You can also Zipline from tower to tower 500ft from the ground, if you chose to.

Over all a very nice hotel, and one I'd recommend.

Old and run down. The couches were worse than college dorm couches. The grout peeled off and dropped in the tub while I taking a shower. The furniture and even the Kleenex box holder looked like it was bought at a thrift shop, chipped and or broken . The beds were comfy enough. I think since we booked through cheap tickets I think they gave us the cheapest and beat up room. The view was the best part. Next time the Bellagio.

The Rio 172 invited local talented musicians to perform tonight. Our daughter-in law, Sarah Thiele, invited us to attend their performance. Sarah's a phenomenal singer, writer & pianist on her own right. Eryn P, Sarah's vocal student, performed original songs written by her/Sarah. Great talent by all musicians. Local musicians will perform on Wednesday nights! Great atmosphere, service & sushi!

I love this place while on vacation I didn't stay here this time but I will say the food is amazing fresh, hot, and tasty. The service is great as well and the do offer more then just seafood so if you have a picky eater this place will work and you do get your money worth for the amount of food you have to pick from if your in Vegas put this spot on your must to do list you won't regret it.

Got a great deal on Hotwire for one night. The rooms are HUGE. I requested a simple double queen room and it was basically a suite. The rooms are very clean so I don't have much to complain about. I only stayed one night so I can't comment on the cleaning services. The parking structure is old and it was a long walk from the car to my tower but that's typical of these giant casino hotel resorts.

The overal experience of the hotel was good. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke then you may find it unpleasant. No where near as bad as the downtown casinos but still not pleasant. The rooms are quite large but the furniture is dated and the bed was not the most comfortable.

Can't understand having to wait until after 4pm to get into the room. Once inside, the room was fabulous.
Not a fan of smoke filled casino's and didn't want to spend my money and not be able to breath. Probably my final trip to Vegas, thank you for the memory

Rooms are getting very run down, and due to an issue with the reservation system I paid for a level of room that was quite above the room that I actually received. Unfortunately when I asked staff about this I was told that any room choices made on the website are just preferences. The casino area is still nice, and the drink servers in that area are very attentive.

We have stayed at Rio a few times now. We have always received very good service from front desk staff, including accommodating us paying cash and last minute extra days. The rooms are very comfortable in the Masquerade tower, which is where we've ended up every time we stay, but overall unremarkable. I do understand this is a bit of a "party hotel" by theme and we opt for a smoking room, but when we walked in our room this time I nearly choked on the smell of weed and our bathroom amenities consisted only of one bar of soap and a 3/4 full shampoo. We have our own toiletries, of course, but it displayed a lack of care in keeping up the rooms that made me triple check the sheets for cleanliness prior to sitting on the bed (they were fine). The casino is hit or miss. There are a lot of different types of slot machines, which is fun, but we rarely win or even break even when playing here and the reward program is slow to build. Overall, for the price especially, the Rio is a good value and we will probably continue to stay there from time to time.

Unable to get drinks while gambling at black Jack $25 dollar table not one Server for 40 minutes. UNACCEPTABLE. Pit Boss did nothing to help. 1st night I gambled the dealer was truly rude. Room old and far from elevator like I requested. Went to hash a go go breakfast with coffee was $30. Insane prices to have breakfast. Portions were very big to be honest. But coffee cold food was warm at best. Not my best experience

On the older side, but not the oldest. Was very reasonable on price. Rooms were bigger than expected. The rooms were clean. Did not care for the Chippendales advertisements in the elevators but I was in Vegas in the Rio, so what should have I expected.

I used to really enjoy this casino, but now they are as tight as all the others. You will not see a four of a kind. Atmosphere is gone. I completely hate it now. I tell all my friends and customers not to waste their time.

We were able to get a room very cheap for our stay. The casino downstairs is fun and everyone has been super nice! We were told to get a room on the 17th-20th floor and I highly recommend trying to do the same! The view is amazing.

Very old and dated. Compared to other hotels/casinos on the strip ( this one is away from the strip). WOW Vegas Spectacular show inside this hotel was pretty ok. Can watch once but not as grand as Cirque De Soleil.

I went here for my 30th birthday, last year and they were soooo sweet to me! Upgraded my room and it was a beautiful view! The property is nice and has a GREAT Mexican restaurant on the property! It cost me like a $4 ish ride, via Uber, to the strip, from here so not bad! I will be back in Vegas next month and I will be visiting this property again, with my husband!

Excellent hotel, gaming, slots, all services available. Fully loaded casino with bars, shops, restaurants, etc. Rooms are very nice and clean. Service is extraordinary, prompt and professional. This casino has so much to offer and you may not possibly see everything in one day. Salon, nails, hair, zipline, comedy , beauty, retail, you just have to visit to appreciate. Would of givin 5 stars but checking in has long lines

One of the older hotels, lots of maintenance required. An elevator constantly thinks someone was pushing the 7th floor button and after 6 days was still doing it. Down button stopped working on my floor for the bank of elevators that didn't include the busted one. Room was actually nicer than the suite I stayed in last year, though I reserved a king and somehow it was not there when I got there and was stuck in a two Queen. Overall it's fine, but could definitely be better.

Off the strip, but quite busy. Numerous shows and the gaming area changes at night. Music pumps through speakers...I think they went and found some true beauties to dance and do the table games. I was amazed at how many people brought their young children downstairs with them, during this time. Certain games were paying off, as most casinos. Overall not bad

Awesome hotel! It is amazing to be on the strip but also more relaxing to be a little off the strip! This hotel is incredibly beautiful and BIG! We enjoyed our stay for 3 days and 2 nights! The employees gave us good in sight on places we could go. The room was spacious and well cleaned! The rooms we literally sound proof because I slept like a baby. Will most DEFINITELY return to this hotel when I go to Vegas! Loved it!

The place is huge and slightly tricky to navigate, but the rooms were great. The express check-in / check-out systems was smooth. It has many stores part of the casino complex. Didn't explore the casinos, so can't comment on that.

Nice big rooms. Easy valet parking. Great views from the roof it would be really nice if we could have brought our kids to see the roof but for some reason you have to be 21 to view the roof. One of the reasons we selected this hotel was because they had nice pools and nice hot tubs but the hot tubs were closed and no one really knew why they looked like they were full of water they were warm and ready for people to get in but for some reason they have them blocked off and they were closed I asked why and no one seem to know. It would also be really nice if the pool was open past 6 p.m. We mostly came for the gaming and the gaming did not disappoint it was fun as usual. The rooms are about twice the size of a normal hotel room and the bathroom was nice with a separate preparation area from the shower and toilet. Another main reason we stayed here at this hotel was to see the Penn and Teller show but even though we were there for a whole week that show was dark the entire week which was really disappointing.

Very nice hotel!!! Loved staying here! Dined at a couple restaurants and saw the comedy show. I know this hotel is a bit older but, they have maintained it and redesigned according to the times. The only aspect I would like a little better is, getting around from the parking garage. There wasn't enough signage to indicate which direction to go.

I was Racial profiled by the security for standing in the hallway from my room using the phone, followed by being harassed, threatened and then lied on by security to make me look bad. Then the Hotel didnt care enough to address the situation, but try to justify it ad it being a security procedures.

We were visiting vegas, had a room at the Rio room 983, the folk from wyndam resorts approached us and invited us to an open house and get gifts of breakfast and dinner and a show, we were there at 9 a.m. as requested and they had over booked the open house. we had other things going on that day and agreed to 9 a.m. Well they had over booked and we were not able to attend open house, they refunded our $60 but didnt even offer anything else as a waste of our time and waking up early to be there. Very dissappointed. Here it is 10 am have not eaten yet and wasted half my morning just waiting and an hour last nite all for nothing! Not happy at all about the time wasted. Sincerely the Newmans

I have stayed in many rooms at this hotel. This is the first time in a deluxe suite. It was small, dated, wall paper was peeling in the bathroom and the corners had dust that the vacuum didn t get...a lot of dust. This was my first negative experience and would only recommend this hotel if paying to stay in upgrade rooms. Deluxe suite compares to a two star not four star hotel. Very disappointed

Rio is still an underrated hotel. The rooms are nice, food is great and the price makes it all better. There are shuttles to the strip so you get the "Vegas Experience" if that's your priority. Plus you've got The Palms & Gold Coast right there for something else to see. 3 stars might be more accurate but then people don't give it a chance. It's worth checking out.

Got a comp room but they only gave us a smoking room option. Hallways smelled like marijuana cause room across was having a party. Noise isolation is minimal, you can hear everyone above and outside. The voodoo lounge is free from 8-10 and it has the best views of Las Vegas but it's more viewing platform than a club at that time and on a Monday night. It's off strip and they don't have the shuttles to take you to the strip anymore so that sucks. If its not comp then don't stay here. The Linq is usually the same price and it's center strip.

Expensive casino with poor service and big problems near pool area (grasshoppers and locusts outside pool gate. 8am). Prices are similar to Caesar's Palace or Bellagio but without the same appeal or nice look. The Palms is much better in my opinion if you are staying near there. Hotel rooms are decent but not for those prices. If you want to spend the money, I can name 5 better casinos right now. Palms, Aria, Bellagio, Caesar's Palace and Planet Hollywood for the same prices and better rooms/gaming and service.

I attended a convention at Rio, so I can only speak of convention rooms and foods. Great big rooms (hold more than 3000) and clean bathrooms, but foods are not the best. Buffet is not recommended, hardly much selection for a vegan (and my non vegan friends were complaining about quality).
