Very nice Fitness Center...Clean locker rooms ...smells good compare with another fitness center i have been before...large and clean pool...i get a day pass just for 10$ that s not expensive for what they offering 5+

I wish they built their locker rooms with whirlpool and a steam room similar to Chelsea Wellness Center.

Enjoyed a Pilates Reformer class! Huzzah! So much fun and you work very hard to stretch and concentrate on how your body all works together!! Thank you Dexter Wellness Center! Thank you Ginger!!

Very impressive and clean facility. They offer free daycare for little ones while parents work out. Classes available at variety of times & days. The pool is heated to a very nice temp & saltwater. Overall I loved coming here with my family!

Very friendly staff, clean facility. My kids love and often ask to go to the kids in motion program. And we love the pool!

Great place to work out. Love their Yogi's. Management seems to be seeking to be relevant to customers through class offerings, website, workout tracking, etc. You can get a massage here. Nice sauna in the women's locker room. Love that they stock extra socks to buy if you forget yours. Love the staff. Love the locker room.

Excellent facility for working out, swimming, and many other activities. The gym has nice, well-maintained equipment, fitness staff is available to offer advice and answer questions, and everything is kept very clean. The pools are warm and great for lap-swimming and other exercises. Locker rooms are very nice, offering combination lockers, showers, and towel service. They also have child care service, which our kids love - the staff are friendly and fun, and they have great activities for the kids.

The place is clean and machines are in good working order. There are very few desk staff who greet you when you come in, the cost is on the higher side.

Well organized with good equipment layout, cleaner than other facilities I have visited, well-staffed and family friendly.

People are nice , it is just not as comfortable as the Chelsea one.. sorry Dexter, it feels too big

Incredible facility, everything you could need for a good workout whether you're looking to get in a good cardio or lifting session. Staff is super friendly and everything is very clean.

Very nice, quite a bit crowded sometime. They overdo it with expecting the wiping down of machines after every use which can be quite annoying getting on a soaking wet machine that someone just wiped down, I say just wash your hands before you workout and after you workout, easy peasy.

Great family friendly place! My boys love coming to the wellness center! The staff members are always nice & helpful with what ever your needs... I use the gym typical 5-6. Days a week. I been coming to the Dexter wellness center for 6 years & was previously a member of the Chelsea Center for 2 years. I have met so many great people from younger to older. They have a lot of classes to offer & are great for all levels. They have a great selection of weight training equipment & continuously keep bringing in new equipment for an experience weight lifter. The cost of the membership and what they have to offer is so worth it! Any where outside of Dexter would cost you so Much More!!!

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Lots of equipment and classes. Even when busy there are various machines and equipment to still use.

I feel depressed coming in here. Music is nonexistent or it'll be 80s slow music. Not many workout machines or a variety

Amazing facility. Recently built with modern spa-like amenities. Nice having massage and physical therapy at the same location.

I love it here! Large, modern equipment and lots of classes available. They have a nice 4 lane pool and a therapy pool. Everyone who works here has been very friendly. Wonderful!

Amazing, beautiful and clean...but expensive. If you go regularly enough to utilize everything, it's worth it. Staff is super nice and helpful. I've rarely had a problem finding a space to stretch, a treadmill to run on, or lap lane to swim in. I go about 3x a week, HOWEVER I have a super flexible schedule so I can go whenever I want and can usually avoid the big crowd around 4-5pm. My workouts are usually more running and calisthenically focused, so I don't utilize much more than the treadmills, track, studios, and pool.

Every stay at home mom in the area NEEDS to join this gym. The childcare center has tons for them to do, including free time in the gymnasium. There are a variety of fitness classes, a warm pool with family swim times, really clean locker rooms, and plenty of parking. It s pricey but totally worth it.

Great atmosphere to work out in, helpful staff and clean equipment.

Not a family friendly establishment and management doesn't value long term customers. If you have children you can't afford this place. Childcare will effectively DOUBLE your membership. But since it is effectively the only gym in Dexter that offers childcare they can hike up their prices to ludicrous amounts. For my 4 kids it cost $120/month just in childcare added to the single adult membership of $70! That's a grand total of almost $200/month. Management runs monthly specials that bring the prices down to a reasonable rate that working families might be able to afford only to jack the price up to "normal" rates after that more than double the membership. Dexter Wellness Center, it isn't a good business strategy to make your profits off of a customer's mistake to cancel their membership by an arbitrary date. If the customer can't use your services and they have notified you BEFORE ever using your services, give their money back. It's that simple. That is good customer service. Taking money from customers that don't want your services is effectively robbery in my book.

The Dexter location is so nice. And I like the set up better than the Chelsea location.

It's smaller, but quieter, better organized, easier for me to navigate.

Not a family friendly center. Go to the ymca if you have children. In my opinion they receive far too much community grant money for what they do and charge.

I love this place. Whatever your level of fitness and whatever your goals, you will find it here. The trainers and staff are great. A wide variety of classes are offered. There are both a hot pool and cooler lap pool. The workout area offers free weights, machines, cables, and lots of equipment for functional training. There is also a gym for basketball and pickleball. My only reason for withholding one star: there is a steam room but no hot tub. I would give 5 stars otherwise. Note: membership here also gets you access to other sister facilities in the area, and Chelsea does have a hot tub, steam.room and sauna.
