We stayed in the masquerade tower. This suite was very spacious. The view was ok. Not bad but not as nice as other rooms or properties. Considering this was one of their 180 view rooms eh... It was ok. The rooms decor was a bit dated and there was significant water damage in the massive bathroom near jacuzzi tub but nothing unsanitary or dangerous. (Btw the master bathroom is larger that most of the hotels public bathrooms. Plus there is also a guest bathroom.
Its not a room to wow someone like many others especially in Caesars but if you are having a small party or group of friends this place has all kinds of room to spread out. Also 2 TVs and a refrig that actually lets you put your own stuff in it. Also mini bar etc.

Super long wait time to check in and check out and not due to an overwhelming amount of people but the slowest processing and only 1 employee both times. I checked in at midnight the first day and checked out at 8am there should definitely be more help and a faster system. The kiosk don t accept cash for check out and for checking in they were down. Rooms were outdated. The least comfortable hotel bed I ve stayed in with the smallest pillows. Shower had no light so don t cut yourself shaving :( wouldn t stay here again

Better stay somewhere else. They only have 2-3 people helping guests register. It can even take an hour to check-in or get a replacement key card. The resort gets busier and there is usually always a long line of guests waiting to check-in. This is super inconvenient if you have come after a long drive. Plus, they are not very informed about refund/check-in policies. I ended up paying double resort fee for the same night because the registration desk gave me wrong information about changes/cancellations.

The Rio was much nicer than some of the hotels in the area. It was clean and didn't stink of cigarettes. The staff was helpful. There were lots of good dining and entertainment options both in the hotel and in the surrounding area.

Great looking hotel! Went there for the buffet! The buffet is to die for! A great variety of seafood and meats! Fantastic value for the price! If you re in Vegas you must stop by and dive into this buffet!

I was super disappointed in the Rio Hotel. My bf has a prosthetic and the weekend we went they were just finished hosting the Hangar Prosthetic convention so you would think they would be a good hotel for people with prosthetics but nope they aren t. Which is why Hangar is going elsewhere after this year. First, our shower was backing up so I pulled out the drain only to find a disgusting amount of hair clogging the drain. Then my bf is hopping from the bathroom to the bed and on his only good foot he steps on a nail poking up from the carpet that was separated from the tile. After these things happened I began to look closer at the room only to find what looked like old blood or coffee splatter on the wall and the tile separating in the bathroom. It was dirty, old and in need of updating and upkeep.

Nothing like it was when we were here 8 years ago.. They have stopped having the parade in the sky, and there was hardly anyone there. Took over a half hr of playing slot machine before a hostess ever came around to see if we wanted anything to drink.

Just located out of the strip. It was old but I can see it was still well-maintained. View from out of the room was fantastic. And it seems I just have better luck at Rio s Casinos compares to other Caesar s properties.

Considering what I paid for the stay I can't complain. To be fair I didn't sample all the amenities so I can't pass comment except for The wall gaming lounge which is fantastic value for money and the voodoo rooftop nightclub which is a rip off at $30 after 10pm, shocking!

Love Hash House! Huge shareable portions. Unique offerings. The flavors are all great. Server suggestions have not disappointed. Micki read very pleasant, full of smiles, and represents what a friendly server should be. I'll keep returning!

Got the "premium" suite. Furnishings were well worn. Non smoking room reaked of tobacco smoke that seemed to be coming from the air conditioning. Had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. Great view of the strip from the side we were on.

Cheap, on Tuesday I pay 26 $ total. For the main Strip street 5 minutes by car or 22 min by walk.

While the Rio is an old one on the strip, it still provides some much appreciated entertainment. My favorite thing there is the little KISS mini golf spot, next to it is a store with lots of memorabilia and autographed instruments to look at. It just got purchased by Caesars entertainment i think so it will most definitely improve!

I have never been to the Rio before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I loved it. The pools are beautiful and a lot of fun. They have a kids pool where it has a 0 to 4 feet slope and waterfalls. They have a warm pool. A freezing pool (I'm guessing that is fun when it is super hot), hot tubs, and a Sandy pool. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Whenever I called with questions or to request towels they were prompt and courteous.

We were blown away when we got our room. The line for check in was long so I used the kiosk. I got my room key. I had booked a 2 queen bed room facing the mountain. Imagine my delight when we were given a 1600 square foot suite on the ened of the building with floor to ceiling windows and a 180 degree view of the strip. We literally dropped our luggage and ran to the windows. It had a dining area, large bathroom with sitting area, and a sepate master bedroom. It was lovely.

I loved the Hash House a Go Go in site with the huge portions and yummy food.

We loved watching the strip light up at night. Another highlight was watching people ride the Zipline.

Negatives:
When you come in from parking in Masquerade you are on the second floor but the elevators to go to your room are on the first floor.

Also, the bathroom including bath and shower were a little dated.

It's a very nice hotel! You don't have to leave if you don't want to as everything you could need is available in the hotel. It is off of the strip, but not very far at all. You could easily walk to Caesar's palace if you want to, or catch the free shuttle from the Gold Coast, right next door to the Rio.

The restaurants in the hotel are very good, (especially the Guy Fieri's restaurant!) and the room is nice and big! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not giving 5 stars as there is an annoying habit of all the staff trying to get you to agree to go see a time share presentation, but it's easy to just say no thanks & walk past them.

Room was large. Only small loveseat. Really smokey. Very disappointed in food selections. Most places to eat didn't open until 4 pm. All places were VERY expensive. Charge $4.99 for a cup of coffee or hot tea. Definitely will not be back. Shuttle service from Rio to other Harrah's places is gone. What we spent in cab fees, should have spent on a better casino . Will no be going back

We had the best time in our suite. Enjoyed the hot tub too... The suite was clean and the customer service was great. They also have great pizza downstairs by the registration area. I will definitely come back. Not to far from the Vegas strip.

What a beautiful casino. There is so much to do here. The Kiss Mini Golf is a popular place to go to and a lot of fun. There are a ton of restaurants and fast food like Smashburger. There is an amazing sushi bar inside Club 172 that has award winning food. There is a live stage and top notch pa system inside and a really cool band Raiding The Rock Vault playing there nightly which is awesome. The parking is free and plenty of spaces. On the 4th floor parking structure there is a convenient walkway bridge that takes you right inside. Not far off the strip and so much fun. Highly recommend The Rio for visitors and us locals. Thanks so much!

Steer clear of this hotel unless you like standing in line for hours for nothing.

We arrived at 1:30AM, tired from a flight from the east coast already, and had to wait TWO HOURS in line just for check in!! The registration desk has one or two people working, and they work SOOOO slowly. Talking on the phone, laughing. Very unprofessional.

Oh by the way, there are 8 express check in/out machines . None of them work. Every group waiting in line tried but none of the machine works!

I must say my experience at the Rio was pretty great. The woman who handled my check-in was amazing. I extended my stay by a day, and even though the rates had went up, they voluntarily honored the cheaper ratefrom the day before. The staff in the poker room was great! I even bought a bowl of cereal from the convenience store and when I got to my room I realised I had forgotten to grab a spoon. Lo and behold they put on in my bag for me!!! Top marks all around!

I didn t stay at the hotel as I was just here to watch Penn and Teller.

The place feels a little 80s and I m pretty sure I saw a few Nicky Santoro types around but the staff were very good.

Drinks are pretty well priced for Vegas. The theater is good, too.

The rooms are very spacious, beautiful, and clean. The view or of the room is breath taking. The location is a convenient 10 or so minute walk from the strip without all the traffic of the strip. The hotel stay are very friendly and always willing to help when asked. The hotel has plenty of things to do in it such as good restaurants, pools, shows, and bars. It is pretty friendly so you can occasionally see animals which is always a nice sight to see while it on vacation.

We had a comfortable room but it is a free-for-all at the elevators. If you manage to get on one it stops at every floor even though your car is filled to capacity.
The pool area was very nice and it was good to be at a hotel where we didn't have to drive to see the Penn and Teller show.

This is the best place to stay in Las Vegas if you don't want to be part of the craziness of the strip. Very easy to get to, and within walking distance of the strip. Rooms are spacious and clean, and each room has a mini fridge. Love it!

Loved the all suite rooms. We enjoyed the spa and fitness area. For the price it is the best deal I could find and was not disappointed. For those who complain go spend the $200 plus a night at another hotel. It is not brand new but had everything we needed and wanted and enjoyed it.

Out dated and off the strip. They use to have a shuttle but do not any more and that was disappointing. Staff were very friendly I enjoyed the no house keeping option because we only stayed 2 days and got a $10 food voucher. $20 for early check in was disappointing when other much nicer resorts have waived it without us even asking the last few times we have visited. Room was clean but out dated pool was nice and warm but the sand pool was closed which has the one I wanted to see since it was unique. This was my second stay here in 5 years and will be my last.

This was our first time staying at the Rio. The room was very clean and very roomy. The furniture was dated but the view made up for that. We were on the 35th floor so we could see beautiful lights of the city as well as the people zip lining across the towers.. I was a little concerned being off the strip that we would be limited with our activities. To my surprise this wasn't the case. The gaming was diverse enough, the wife had plenty to keep her busy. The voodoo steak house does not disappoint. We saw WOW the show and had a wonderful time. Plenty of places to drink and eat we did not have to leave. The only draw back was the pools were closed due to the time of season, but that was to be expected. Overall we had a great stay and will visit again.

Stayed on the 34th floor of the Masquerade Tower. It was near the top. Awesome view, even at night. $235 for one night with my wife and small dog. The suite was good sized with king size bed, floor to ceiling windows along entire exterior side, large bathroom with window between bedroom area and shower. ;) TV, fridge, sofa, beautiful carpet, but no microwave. They have their own mall and casino downatairs and you can ride a zip line from the roof to their shorter building next door.

Great place to stay! My wife and I were at the Rio all-suites for a convention and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were awesome clean well-kept the staff is fantastic I just can't say enough good about this place. The only downside is the fact that it's such a huge place and you have to walk a lot. There is a lot to choose from here bars restaurants swimming pools. The Rio is not exactly within walking distance of the strip but it is a short taxi ride. I highly recommend the Rio all-suites.

I will remain objective and point out all good and bad of this Hotel. I had work in the Hotel industry for more than 20 years and have mainly worked as a Front Office Manager to an Assistant GM for both small and big hotel chains. It has been many years since we had stayed at the Rio and was expecting a better experience.

The valet, belldesk, and the front desk staff were all very friendly and professional, however a simple "Hello and Welcome to the Rio" would have made us feel more welcome. Standing in line I noticed that some of the agents seemed very stoic and not personable. Our agent though was great and made us feel welcomed. Our bellman was informative and answered all our questions about the area and the restaurants.

The room itself was spacious and nice but the decor was quite dated. The rug had some stains. However there were some large staples, which I assume came from the decor on the bed, on the floor. Luckily I had my shoes on. The smaller table near the sofa was not stable and would lean when I placed my phone and tablet on it. The security latch on the door seemed as though it was broken. The bathroom itself was spacious and nice but there were stains on the ceiling by the bathroom door and parts of the wallpaper were missing. The caulking on the tub was cracked and needed to be replaced. Was very surprised that there was no coffee maker in the room. I decided just to walk down to Starbucks in the morning. We have stayed in lots of hotel both big and small and most had a coffee maker. Now the bed itself was comfortable however the pillow were not soft at all. It was like sleeping on bricks.

We decided to try two restaurants on the property. Both had excellent food but the service level at both restaurants were quite different.

We arrived late that evening and decided to just stay at the Hotel and eat at KJ Dim Sum and Seafood. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best part of the meal was not just the food but the experience. The staff at the restaurant were helpful and friendly as well attentive. What we noticed is that they worked as a team to ensure each patron was satisfied and that they were happy.

The following morning we decided to have breakfast at Hash House A GoGo. Now being from San Diego, most of us have eaten at the Hash House A GoGo here. They have excellent service no matter how busy they are. This particular restaurant has excellent food but the service level was horrid. The complete opposite of what we experience at KJ Dim Sum. We were seated and given menus however not even a single acknowledgement or a simple "Hello" or even a "Good Morning, How are you". We actually waited 10 minutes before someone ask if we needed a beverage. This to me was not a good start. Our waitress did not seemed very friendly. Not even a hello. She just came up and ask if we were ready to order. Her demeanor was not friendly and made us seemed like we were bothering her. We finally did order since we felt that we were being rushed to do so. Our food finally arrived but at different times. My Breakfast arrived first and my partners meal came out 10 minutes later. The waitress barely came to our table and only came to check on us when we were already finish. She only spoke to us when we were ready to leave.

Overall Our experience was not bad. Yes the rooms are dated and needs some maintenance care but it was still a spacious room with a great view of the strip. There was some issues with guest service and guest experience but what hotel doesn't have those. I know there are always issues because I use to deal with them first hand. The biggest disappointment was our experience at Hash House A GoGo. Some of the staff needs more training when it comes to dealing with guest and need to be more attentive to

Nice rooms, nothing over there top. Was very disappointed that no microwave or coffeepot was available even after I called and asked about getting one. We opted out of town cleaning for a $10.00 voucher which we never got. It wasn't so much the money we wanted as we really wanted the privacy because we were coming and going several times a day. They were not super helpful when we asked about catching the bus to the strip which was only a block away. We didn't feel it was safe to walk it at night as homeless people hung around the bridge you had to walk over. The restaurant's were nice, the two we are at had good food. Was disappointed in the hours at the gym because we were there for a work conference and by the time we were done for the evening the gym was closing up. We did get to use it once and it was very nice just not the best hours. The resort fee was a little steep considering the pool was closed for the season, the gym had bad hours and nothing else was offered. Will stay at a different hotel next time we are there.

Food is overpriced. Checkin was very slow and at first they said there was no room. Lots of staff were standing around apparently doing nothing. Display menus have no prices. I hate to feel like I'm being ripped off repeatedly. Room was fine. Eat elsewhere.

I just had to tell someone about a wonderful supervisor at the Rio Poker Room named Joyce. I had the pleasure of watching her work the room a few nights ago and she was amazing! She was quick, efficient, and always very professional. I saw her handle a problem poker patron very tactfully and with great skill. Her demeanor was always calm and friendly. If I was still in business, she would be the first person I would try to hire. I hope Caesar's Entertainment realizes what a great asset she is!

My wife and I stayed here at the Rio from April 9-...

My wife and I stayed here at the Rio from April 9-13 2018.
I checked out reviews from most other hotel casinos along with the Rio weeks in advance to making a final decision.
We decided to give the Rio a try even though there were many lower starred reviews specifically for its location slightly off of the strip. The reason being was that we could view the whole strip instead of staying on the strip with many obstructions from buildings to block the view.

We upgraded our room which was slightly higher (but not outrageous) to a strip view suite. PAY THE UPGRADE TO GET THIS VIEW!!!!!. Rooms were upscale, spacious, and clean. You can see the entire strip and at night................
One of the most beautiful views we have experienced.

Also take at least one night to see the Voodoo Rooftop club.
This view has to be one of the best outdoor views in Vegas.
If you have any questions about anything at all in Vegas talk to Ray Acosta at the Voodoo. He is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of Vegas and will take care of you.

I mentioned before I had personally looked through hundreds of reviews before making a final decision. I really am surprised with the lower reviews that the Rio received. We personally did not experience any negative experiences that were unexpected. All you have to do is your research prior to making a final decision and there will not be any surprises.

Parking is FREE!!!!!!!

I do have 1 suggestion for the Caesars Corporation:

My wife and I had a rental car so this does not apply to us however: GET A SHUTTLE TO THE STRIP.

I am sure that your corporation knows everything about customer hospitality but I believe your missing this.

Many of the negative reviews have to do with no shuttle.
I would assume you are losing a lot more money from non-bookings (due to not having a shuttle) than what you could be making from customers booking for this reason.

Many customers specifically search and book based on shuttle service to the strip. Please fix this simple issue.

Overall we had a 5 star experience and when we come back we will not look anywhere else but the Rio.

THANK YOU !!!!!

Upgraded to a karaoke suite with no extra cost. Though the rooms are a bit old, the views and luxury is worth the price. Hot tub in the room next to the window, large bathrooms and comfy living space. Rio is not as crowded as other casinos, that give the same qaulity.

My 11 yr old daughter and I went and saw Penn and Teller. Although it is not completely family friendly it was fine for her. I had a discount through Travelzoo which made the cost bearable otherwise it would not have been worth it. The highlight is the guys come out after and wait around to take pictures with everyone and are very cordial. Class act.
