"Deluxe" rooms were like a dorm room. This would work well for a ski vacation as it's right at the base of the hill although most of the lifts were closed when we were there. Laundry on site for quarters and swimming pool is heated. Just felt like we were paying way too much for what we got. We almost changed resorts but wasn't worth the battle of getting a refund

Given the price and great reviews, I was very surprised by our experience at this resort. The views and grounds are great but the service is extremely lacking and the rooms were fine but nothing special. First it took 45 minutes for our bags to be delivered to the room, and we were told we had to wait in the room until they arrived. Next, we headed down to the only open restaurant, the poolside cafe to have lunch (none of the entrees run less than $20). Before our food arrived, a waiter brought over to go containers and said we d have to cover our food while we ate because the area is overrun with bees. We ate our overpriced meals standing up, cowering in a corner because of the bees. No apologies or discounts offered. The in-room coffee maker was broken. For lunch another day, the waiter balked at dividing up our check and told my husband he would need to separate our table s check himself. Upon leaving we were charged for valet even though we did not even have a car on the property. Issues like these dominated the weekend. The only time I felt the service was top notch was during the reception for the wedding we attended. Overall felt like the resort was simply trying to suck every dollar out of you while providing mediocre service.

I absolutely love this place. The views you get is magnificent. This is my second time here and each time I've opted for a forest view room. The hotel has a great gym, Jacuzzis, and pools. Plus there is a beautiful waterfall on site. Come for the summer or the winter. Either way, you'll have a great time.

Great facility, helpful staff, wonderful restaurant. Very hyped as a Visa Signature hotel, which means (among other things) complimentary late check-out and free continental breakfast. Get here to find that the complimentary late check-out isn't available due to overbooking and the free breakfast is only for two people. If I had paid extra for the benefits I might have been angry, but instead I'm just a bit underwhelmed by Visa and Destination Hotels. Would come back, but not at pricing paid for this visit, especially with the new places opening on the lake (Edgewood Tahoe, I'm looking at you! Don't let us down)

The facility is very nice but not during covid restrictions. Only 2 restaurants open for take out only , jacuzzis and water slide closed , no maid service. There was nothing on the website about jacuzzis and water slide being closed

This restaurant is the one I like best. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The team is very professional and the cooking they cook is so appetizing. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended.

It's all about who you know, right? I have an awesome person in my life that has allowed my fiance and I to stay in his room here at Squaw Creek. He's a penthouse owner. Honestly the place is nicer than my own home. I'd probably never, ever have the opportunity to stay in a room like this if not for the generosity and kindness of this person. I'm so grateful to have stayed here more than once.

The staff is amazing. Very helpful and very friendly and many of them have very nice moustaches. :) The bartenders downstairs are nice. Drinks aren't unreasonably priced and they are tasty. I recommend the chocolate martini. There is also a brownie sundae at that bar that's very good. To avoid confusion, it's an actual brownie; not a drink.

In winter there are stations set up for S'mores at certain times. It was awesome - we happened to wander by one of these real fires on our way to the spa. It was surrounded by chairs with a table of marshmallows, full-sized Hershey's bars, roasting sticks, and of course, a bowl of Graham crackers. However, not long after sitting down, first S'more almost perfectly browned, a family with several children came over and the kids were (Surprise!!!) a nightmare. The parents didn't seem concerned by the mess their kids were making - it was gross. No manners.

Once we reached the spa we realized there are 3 spas all scattered closely around the pool. Unfortunately, once again, parents with no manners were letting their kids go from spa to spa. Mind you, two of these are adults only. Why have an adults only spa? I'd answer this but I have a feeling there is a character limit for these reviews and I could go on and on. Either way, act like a parent and set a good example by following the rules. I think the resort could use a small gate around these two spas. Nothing inconvenient, no key, just something with a sign that maybe states more boldly "adults only".

Getting out of the spa was the hard part. Thankfully all rooms come equipped with big, fluffy robes to wrap in as you walk up the steps back to the rooms. That was nice. Even walking barefoot wasn't so bad with the plush warmth around our bodies.

Speaking of walking, the parking lot is a good walk from the hotel so make sure to get all your stuff in one trip if you're not a fan of walking. Honestly though, it surprises me how many times I heard people complain about this. Bringing it up in my review is not a complaint. Sure, it's inconvenient when if you want to just "run to the car real quick", but honestly, I am so thankful to have the ability to walk that I'd never complain about having to do it. Put on a faux fur lined hooded jacket, some mittens and some boots, and enjoy the breath-taking beauty that surrounds you at this resort.

Nice amenities, great surroundings. Rooms are a ways away from parking lot so be prepared if you're doing self parking and make use of bell hop. Valet parking is pricey. Nice pools and easy access to the ski lift.

This place is to die for. Beautiful, clean, gorgeous views.
The only thing... it is very expensive when it comes to food. Your breakfast will easily be 45 dollars for 2, and lunch and dinner, over a 100 dollars for a very simple dinner.

Not worth the money spent. The resort did not make any efforts to accommodate guest requests. The central air conditioner system was not working right in spite of thermostat in room. No in room microwave provided. Entire 6 nights spent miserably. For this money you could rent a suite in any big hotel chains.

The resort is beautiful and there are many services offered. We stayed in the fireplace suite and our view was beautiful. We were there for a two day event. We went to the resort spa. I was treated with a facial treatment and my husband was treated to a body massage. During my treatment I added a couple of extra treatments totaling an extra $55, not a big deal. What the technician didn t tell me was that there would be an additional $43 service charge on top of initial service fee. Huge disappointment. Had I known, I wouldn t have added those extras. Communication is everything and she should have told me. We ordered room service, breakfast. The order was wrong and they forgot to send syrup. By the time they showed up with the syrup the pancakes were already cold. Additionally, we ordered an afternoon snack with a soda. The young man delivered the food but forgot the soda. My husband asked if it would be a hassle to go back for it and he actually answered yes kind of. I was appalled. Beware, there is a service charge for EVERYTHING and their service is horrible! Not only that, but gratuity is automatically added whether you like their service or not. I didn t realize that until I reviewed one of the receipts and here we were handing cash gratuity in addition to what they were already getting. Checkout day they were to send a cart for our bags and we had several. Waited 30 minutes and we decided we d just walk everything down ourselves. It s not a short distance either. We d mentioned it on our way out and all we got was A sorry. My four star review is solely based on the suite we stayed in and how beautiful the resort is and how much they have to offer. The employees and service get ZERO stars! Shame on the staff for not once trying to make any of the issues right.

This was a fabulous place for a family vacation! The Mountain View from our room was breathtaking and the staff was terrific- especially Pablo who shared the Olympic history of this place while driving us on the resort shuttle to the Village (awesome pizza at Firestone). We had no trouble parking our car ourselves. Loved the hiking and the pool/hot tub.

Amazing resort . Love the people love the pool especially. Im a nanny and I visited the resort because my boss had a conference there. The pool was the best thing for me because the little girl that I care for loves the sand box and the way the kiddie pool is set up next to the sand box was just perfect . I say this because I relaxed and the baby just played with other kids . It was just perfect . love everything about it.

We frequent the Resort at Squaw Creek at least once a year, sometimes twice. We love the location, accommodations and the staff are usually quite nice. During our most recent stay, we were met with a delay as we checked in. We arrived after a 4+ hour drive with two kids at 4:15 and were told our room wasn't ready. After several minutes, our forest view fireplace suite was ready however I had booked a valley view, which contradicted what they had on file and also would be an issue as the valley view suites were all sold out. When showing the person helping us my confirmation email, she told me they didn't have any available but to hold on. So I stood there and after several minutes and a phone call, she said she found one but we'd have to wait for them to check it over. After 30 mins of no word that our room was ready, I approached the front desk and asked another attendant if our room was ready, which it was. Both attendants were managers of some kind but neither tried to make up for the inconvenience of the delay. Considering we are repeat customers, that was a bit disappointing, especially with the high cost of the room plus valet and resort fees. Despite this hiccup, our room and view was very nice. Our only other complaint was that since we were only up there for a few days, we wanted to take full advantage of the pool and since we were anticipating hot weather, we thought we'd reserve one of the cabanas. At a whopping $250, we expected more than what we received. It included a few cans of soda, a bottle of Prosecco and a small plate of fruit. Our children don't drink soda, and neither do we for that matter so that was a bust. A few of the towels had bird poop on them and there was some fries scattered under one of the chairs. We still ended up paying extra for drinks for the kids and food. All in all, not worth it and wouldn't do it again. But the pool was nice and the slide went over very well with our kids. It's great for families of all kinds.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Lunch at Sandy's Pub was just OK. We've stayed overnight a number of times and have always had a great time. Rooms are great and so are the facilities such as the pool. We've also had great food in Sandy's Pub and dinner in the restaurant. This time we just stopped by to have lunch. The food was just OK. A bit disappointing compared to our past experiences.

Beautiful lobby. Most of the staff was super friendly, attentive and helpful. however the front desk staff was not very accommodating. Lots of fun in the pub, especially with trivia night. Nice to have ski rental and ski lift on sight, although prices were a bit inflated

I do not understand all of the great reviews! The hotel is old and showing it. Furniture is old and has dings. Walls and elevators showing age. The worst thing though is that the large window in our room is stained between the double glass meaning we can barely see out of the window. A real disappointment.

The place is listed as having a Tesla charger available for its customers and that was a huge incentive for me at the time of booking. Upon arrival I ve asked if I could charge my car. The staff informed me it was only available with valet parking. Due to Covid it was not really an option and I wasn t offered any alternative. Keep this in mind if considering this resort.

We used Resort at Squaw Creek as our wedding hotel and everything was perfect! The resort and views are beautiful and gave us a stunning background for first look wedding photos. The event team was very responsive and quick to answer any questions as well as help plan our wedding after party. Every element of our stay was perfect, down to the nightly chocolates and turn down service. We truly felt welcomed and look forward to more stays in the future.
