Full of historical load and attraction for millions of tourists every year, the Palace of Westminster is included by UNESCO in the World Heritage Sites program, together with the Church of St. Margaret and the Westminster Abbey, with which it borders. Westminster Abbey was built in the 11th century by Edward The Confessor. The building is the site of royal ceremonies, with no less than 38 coronations taking place here. Also here, in 1997, the funeral of Princess Diana took place.

The current Westminster Palace complex is the neo-Gothic style rebuilt between 1837 and 1860, after the devastating fire of 1834 almost completely destroyed the old British Parliament, built by William II at the end of the 11th century.

With an approximately rectangular shape, the Palace of the Parliament covers an area of over 30,000 square meters. It is flanked by two towers about a hundred meters high, Victoria Tower and the famous clock tower, Big Ben.

An incredible experience. The palace is spectacular. I have not gotten to enter but only from the outside is wonderful. The only bad thing is that when I went it was under construction and there are many sites that were not seen but it was worth making this visit. Recommended to all who go to London to soak up its culture.

This is the meeting place of the House of Commons and Lords. The first palace was built in the 11th century, and Westminster became the residence of the kings of England until much of the complex was destroyed by fire in 1512. It is beautiful. It is being remodeled therefore its magnificence cannot be well observed.

As imposing as it is beautiful is the English Parliament building. Too bad the maintenance work that completely covered Big Ben during our visit .... only one hole was left from which we can see only one clock. Sin. The structure is really very large, with facades in perfect Gothic-English style of great effect. One side overlooks the Thames, and offers a beautiful spectacle even at night, especially if viewed from a boat. The overall view observed by the London Eye Ferris wheel is beautiful. To be seen.

Beautiful building and the inside was full of history and fun stories from our enthusiastic guide. I enjoyed all the stories of parliament, the monarchy and events that have happened in this building over the years. Getting to go into the House of Commons was a highlight for me.

Among the most known iconic and historical landmark in the world. Worth visiting to appreciate the neo Gothic architecture while learning the history of the building.

Located at the north bank of the River Thames and within walking distance to few other interesting attraction.

It is quite unfortunate that the Elizabeth Tower is still under renovation. Hopefully will able to see the entire structure once the renovations finishes

Unique building. Architectural masterpiece. Well worth a visit to this seat of power. They do public tours of the building when parliament isn't sitting. Worth getting on one of these if you can.

Very beautiful and interesting place to visit inside. I took the audio-guided tour to wander around the rooms at my own pace and was really impressed by the architecture. I'm not that much into politics, so was actually surprised how interesting I found all the details about the workings and history of the British parliament. So fascinating facts you can learn there! And you get to personally visit the familiar-from-the-news chambers of both Houses. Definitely worth a visit!
