We paid everything by card directly to the restaurants and services on site
At checkout I had the unpleasant surprise of seeing I was charged a full week for a rollaway bed that we cancelled 5 minutes after our request on the first day
I was charged extra spa service for $175 and extra $350 that I'm still trying to understand ...

This place is soooo nice. There is a cozy lobby with chess, a swimming pool, a gym, a hot tub, and 3 bigger restaurants, with a few smaller cafes. This place also has free WiFi (I think) which is a nice bonus. There is also good skiing, and the lift starts on the resort. I really recommend this place.

This hotel is horrible. Management and services have gone downhill for the past 10 years. This past week the hotel laid off their ENTIRE guest services division with NO notice. They told everyone last Friday they were laid off and had everyone's vacation and sick pay on a check ready to go and told everyone to not come back in. They hired out a contract company to take over and it has been confirmed that the new company is not hiring any of the old guys back based on requests from the Resort at Squaw Creek. A lot of the guys who worked there were there for over 20 years and got their benefits through the company and have families. The family benefits end this week (yes, that is only one weeks notice for end of employee benefits). I hope this place goes out of business because this is a small town and everyone knows what they did to these people who have families, mortgages, etc. The way this all went down is so disrespectful and disgusting. I hope they get sued.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and the staff were extremely friendly (Joe at the front desk was great). The views are absolutely breathtaking and the pool area is fantastic. The rooms were slightly dated and the outside stairs were definitely in need of repairs. The air conditioning in our room never worked, even after they sent someone to fix it. Overall it is a beautiful resort that just needs a little work.

If anyone is trying to find bargain deals for hotels and resorts head to . reserved a hotel on there and they had the lowest rates any where!

Lovely resort community in West Tahoe area. We came during the summertime and have enjoyed the outdoor activities and warm weather! Beautiful spaces indoor and out -- and staff are all friendly and helpful.

Our favorite place to stay in Lake Tahoe. Great location! The is actually a chair life for Squaw Valley at the hotel. The rooms are very nice and have great views of the valley and mountains. The pool and Jacuzzis are great. The sports bar is a great place to grab food.

I'm very fortunate to have been to a few fine resorts in my day and this is by far the worst customer service I've seen. No one can answer any questions. No one knew where anything was. We even called the pizza shop at the resort to see if we could get directions and they weren't even sure they were on the resort (we checked and it was). I'd say there was at least 10 different instances that came up in my week stay that I was blown away by the god-awful service. Normally, I am very grateful for even being in the position to be at a "5 Star" resort, and wouldn't even write a review, however, I feel that people need to know that is is not worth the money at all. The resort does look very nice and has a shuttle to the ski village, but there are other places much cheaper that are even closer.

The place to be at to enjoy a wonderful vacation with family. Very close to ski slopes. Great hospitality. Food choices for vegeterians inside the resort aren't that great and just drive to fireside pizza in the village for a hearty vegeterians meal

I had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights. The
Resort is breathtaking with wonderful outdoor vistas, plenty of hiking trails, pools, spa, hot tubs, bicycle rentals, golf course & a ski lift. There is also a courtesy shuttle that takes you from the lobby to the Olympic Village. There are a number of restaurants. However, I didn't try the upscale steak house or the pizza place. The concierge was super helpful. She directed us to a number of good restaurants & activities. The staff is friendly & accommodating. The rooms are spacious & attractive. There are a good number of family rooms too. The resort is dog friendly.

The downside... to stay here is not cheap. It wasn't inexpensive in the summer & increases in the winter for the slopes. Parking is by the night & there is only Valet parking. (The Valets do bring your vehicle quickly & offer you water for the journeys.) There is also a $20 a night resort fee, tacked on to your bill, in addition to taxes & the parking.
This is also not a disability friendly resort. It is a distance from the lobby to the hotel but it is all 1 level. However, for any of the other attractions like the spa, the pools, the hot tubs the restaurants you need to be able to climb loads of stairs. I only found 1 elevator on the property (other than in the hotel) & it is not very conveniently located to the amenities. I repeat, a lot of stairs. Fortunately most have hand rails.

This Hotel is pure inconvenience all around, to get to your room or any where you have to walk outside in rain or snow. 2- resturants at best are mediocre, Typical fried food huge portions and poor quality.3- Breakfast is either dali, star bucks or $30 buffet of stale and wilted cut up horrible food. 4- Rooms are tired looking and again mediocre at best. 5- Gym is ok , I didn't try spa but it appread ok. My first and last time staying here.

Not a bad hotel, and quite convenient if heading out to the slopes. Probably great for families who aren't looking for any special touches, in lieu of convenience. For me, it has been the only hotel, from all the hotels I've been around the world to celebrate a special occasion, which did not acknowledge, nor recognize my request. I could have asked them, but felt it an inconvenience to have to do this in front of the other half. The bed was nice, and the room was pleasantly well-sized, but don't expect a mini bar, nor sufficient creamer, nor a working Bose radio in the room. Again I could have probably asked for more / get it fixed, but for the money I paid (quite a lot actually) this should not have to be the case, and the bother to do so after a long drive did not appeal to me. Finished with a confusing, but tasty breakfast, I was quite disappointed with my stay here, and, even though we are Tahoe regulars, can't seem to justify spending hundreds of dollars for a sub-par experience.

Picturesque setting, great location steps from a lift and convenient shuttle to get to the main lodge area. Love the hot tubs, ice skating rink, live music outside in the afternoon by the fire, cute shops, deli, restaraunts and pub all downstairs from the rooms.

Rooms are a little drab but service is good and accommodating (except for the annoying "resort fee"). Food is good quality American comfort food nothing very interesting. Ski valet is convenient on days of reasonable weather. Own ski lift though a slow one, still, reasonable terrain right in front. Extensive but not picturesque x-country ski.

The location of the resort is great - it has its own ski lift to the main mountain. The lift wasn't crowded, even though we went up around 10am on a Saturday (and Sunday). The run back to the resort is definitely an intermediate level run, More

Unfortunately the manager at the Resort is enforcing a minimum of $25 to use the valet service even if you are running in to drop off something at one of their businesses. The daily valet has been raised to $40. I've been a customer for 20 years and this is crazy. Matt the manager is going to ruin the businesses at the Resort. Many of us use Christian at Elite Feet for our custom boot fitting and many times run in or out to drop off or pick up. I had my wedding ring designed and made by Janet Brady at Double Diamond Jewelry and many other amazing purchases. Many times I've been there to pick up or drop off and the valet has been great and have been tipped well. Today I had my 81 year old mother with me and we needed to drop off a ring at Double Diamond Jewelry. The valet told me I had to pay $25 even though I was just dropping off the ring. It is their new policy. I tried to talk to Matt the manager and he was as cold as a fish in Lake Tahoe. I'm sorry Matt but you are going kill the businesses and give the Resort an unfriendly vibe. Go back to having the businesses stamping the valet ticket if you are spending money there. Not gauging your costumer's. You will lose more money in the end

Pretty ok hotel. It was raining this past weekend when we stayed there. We had to walk outside in the pouring rain from lobby to room. There's no indoor pools, and they're pretty far from the rooms.
Also, car unloading zone was partly without cover, we arrived in pouring rain and all our stuff was pretty wet by the time with got to the lobby.

We had a really nice weekend here. Arrived and golf bags were wisked off to the cart, bags taken to the room and car in the valet. We just walked onto the course....which is pretty tough....bring a lot of golf balls.

Rooms were comfortable, nice. Spent the next day around the pool and at at the restaurant. Good service, nice pool, good times.

All in all its a really nice place with good service, family fun, etc. I came away thinking 'oh - this is why it costs soo much'.

Even during Covid the experience was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing food, and great access to the Olympic Valley area makes Squaw Creek a top choice for the region. Left today and I am already planning my next visit.

Absolutely beautiful. The roads are kept clear, the lobby looks like something out of a movie, the staff is beyond helpful, everything is perfectly clean, the view you will see no where else, and for the price and convenience to the ski lifts it is worth it. Oddly enough it still has great cell reception too. Premium winter resort for sure.

If you are looking for comfortable lodging for a family ski vacation, this is not the place. Basically the rooms are hotel rooms with mini-kithcens. Hardly any room for storage of food, clothing, ski equipment, etc. Dorm-room size fridge. No oven. No coffee pot. Parking is a hike away and not covered.

Not to take away from Squaw - great ski mountain.

All was great, but the resort was going through a lot of minor repairs and improvements. As it is off season, the restaurants were not open daily except for Sandy's Pub. While the food there was great, it got tiresome eating the same foods at the same place daily. The staff were helpful and friendly with few exceptions, but communication with the staff was difficult due to language barriers. Overall though, I would highly recommend this resort to others who would enjoy having a romantic getaway in an extremely beautiful location.

Super convenient lift to the mountains, best breakfast buffet ever! The outdoor hot spring pools and swimming pool are great for some nice relaxing sessions after a whole day in the mountains. Note that you can pick up your pass at the shop here without having to go to the main village area.
