Awesome place, friendly staff, but the breakfast bar could use some help
Rooms were comfortable and clean, staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Wear and tear on room was apparent. The room smelled strongly of curry. We asked for a fragrance and they said they would have someone spray the room, but no one ever came. We also did not like that the bathroom was off the bedroom. We much prefer the bathroom off of the living space.
Very helpful staff. Comfortable suite with plenty of room for our group. Full kitchen. Everything clean and working. Would stay again.
What a comfy place to stay. I think it's the best option in the area. It's slightly more affordable than other options but you get to feel like you live in a home, not a hotel. The breakfast was amazing. The hallways were clean. The employees are very nice and genuine. I would definitely come back if I'm in this area again. There was plenty to do within walking distance. It was convenient to have laundry on site. The gym is open 24/7!
What a great place to stay while on a hectic tour through the area!! The rooms were perfect, large, clean, and comfortable though we didn't get to spend much time there. Before the gig we spent time at the pool and getting caught up on laundry. Free breakfast before checkout was awesome, and the staff was super friendly!
If your looking for a place to home away from home, Residence Inn is the place. Great space with comfortable beds and everything seem like new. Staff was very helpful plus the professionalism exceeded my expectation..Thank your Adam Wagner for the 5 star accommodation....Crossover Ministry!
The staff he was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Just came back to this hotel. We always look forward to it!
There is so much space in the rooms, we had 2 bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms. It made the night we stayed here private and comfortable. This would be a perfect place to bring the kids.
They let us check in early, since we were planning a day trip to Canada. The border is only 40 minutes away, and Niagara Falls is only 20 minutes away.
The stay was great, and we slept perfectly. It was clean and friendly and perfect. We can't wait to be back!
Clean, up to date Decor and amenities, friendly desk staff, good morning buffet
Friendly staff and convenient location. Always able to help out and make sure your stay is a pleasant one
Pool open late! Pool has too many windows but good times
Nice room and kitchenettes. Clean. Conveniently located near many shops and restaurants
Standard hotel - you won't be disappointed, you won't be thrilled. It's a place to sleep. Fridge & small stove for longer stays, but otherwise, perfectly adequate.
Pretty good 3 star hotel. "Suite" was clean and had well equipped kitchen. Staff was welcoming.
Breakfast is kinda meh. You're in a decent area so don't bother with it. Coffee a little weak and dining staff not too friendly.
Go somewhere else for breakfast. Not worth the upcharge. Unless you only wanna eat a waffle like me.
Clean rooms, good customer service, average breakfast
I was on the road for over a week and this Residence Inn had so much space to spread out in. Very relaxing. The full kitchen was handy when we got back at midnight and could cook some frozen pizzas. Very clean, comfortable and up to date. Tons of space with a pull out couch for extra sleeping space. Well ventilated and air conditioned room. A lot of hotel rooms tend to get too stuffy for me, but not this one. I slept like a baby.
Staff members are very nice and friendly. However, the hotel is due for an update, which has already been scheduled for later this year.
P.s. I really appreciate for your prompt response!
Jim was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. Great hotel with an amazing staff!
This Marriott Residence Inn exceeded all expectations! Our suite had two separate queen bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Showers loaded with quality shampoo, conditioner and bath gel dispensers. The living room area has a cozy fireplace next to the couch and TV. The decor was way above your average hotel with its comfy beds and couch and mid century modern accents. Full kitchen with new appliances and USB plugs conveniently located all around. The breakfast spread definitely had a lot to choose from. And if all of that wasn t enough, we were able to squeeze in a quick visit to Niagara Falls only 30 minutes away!
Large kitchen. Cuppboards may look dated but u have all the essentials and then some. Breakfast was great just wish they served bacon
Good location near dining, airport and freeway. Also includes a hot breakfast which is nice. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, waffles cereal and an assortment of breads. Those are good for 3 stars.
I knocked a star because it's clear the hotel needs some renovation, a rainstorm knocked out he TV, and there was a slight smell to the room. Not so much to complain, but anyone sensitive to smell might be bothered by it.
I knocked a second star because it's unbelievable that any hotel 10 minutes from an airport doesn't offer a shuttle. Maybe they don't normally get airport guests and I'm wrong, but it really seems odd to me.
Beautiful place! Awesome pool and whirlpool. The king suite was absolutely perfect. Comfy bed, great tv, nice bathroom, full kitchen, plenty of seating! Also in a very nice area, only 20 minutes from Buffalo!
I enjoyed my stay. They remodeled the bathroom of the room that I stayed in.
Difficult to get a reservation but absolutely worth the wait: the ambiance, the service, the selection and quality of the food along the two menues, and of course the wine list are outstanding. The space between the tables could be a bit more generous to allow for a more private conversation, but this was just a minor point in the overall assessment.
The staffs are unfriendly and unprofessional. I woke up to a loud noise coming from the in-room heating system at 6:00 in the morning and the noise lasted for good 30 minutes. I reported the issue to the front desk immediately, but the staff said there was nothing they can do as no one was available. The staff did not even care to apologize for the inconvenience. The worse hoteling experience I've ever had and I am a platinum member. My colleagues and I travel often for work especially to Buffalo area, but I will never again stay at this hotel and I do not recommend this hotel at all.
I am a platinum member and this marriott is worse than a motel 6. Outdated and the worst staff I have ever encountered at a hotel! The pool is never cleaned but, if you walk in the pool area you will get a headache from the fumes. The staff has no concept of the customer is always right. Unproffesional, another guest told me they don't clean the rooms here and she was right! I saw the maid spraying the floors and putting a towel under her foot to mop. Another guest told me that her ice box went out and she reported it this morning and when she got off of work all of her food was ruined due to they never fixed or replaced her refrigerator due to lack of incompetence. Poor management all-around! Extremely lazy employees just book a room here and you will regret it!
Very nice place the staff are nice & courteous . Some times you have to get on housekeeping to clean the rooms. I say this because I work night & sometimes they come when I'm sleeping. But other than that it's good place. Buffet style breakfast very good!!
Room smelled very much like fried food, didn't seem like they did a good job cleaning. The whole floor itself smelled like Indian food.
Great breakfast as usual for a Residence inn. Rooms are getting a bit dated as of this posting.
My issue resolved very promptly,
Very nice people and services.
They are under construction but the 3rd floor was beautiful and new. I loved my room and the staff. Great value, perfect location for shopping and Chick fil A is next door.
Service is great, full kitchen in suites. But the hotel is a little old in general.
Had a great 2 bedroom suite here. The rooms were spacious and each even had their own private bathroom. The front desk staff was very friendly and even offered to keep the pool open later than usually so we could go for a swim.
The Residence Inn by Marriott, in Buffalo, NY, was an excellent place for our clients to rest for a few nights. Clean accommodations, a friendly staff, and a excellent sport court make this a perfect place for a night off the road. We will definitely be back.
This residence inn is a nice facility. The help is courteous and nice. The rooms are clean and well made. The price is a little high as it seems to be everywhere around Buffalo, but gets better when you say AAA discount. The pool is small and only 4' deep but the jacuzzi makes some of the driving aches go away.
The only distraction is small stuff wasn't taken care of like light switches upsidedown (off is up) throwing the energy off a little.
I do recommend staying here
I enjoyed my stay at The Residence Inn Buffalo. I arrived fairly late in the evening but nonetheless was greeted kindly in the lobby. The room had everything needed for a great stay. Ample space made the room very relaxing as well as a very comfortable bed. A small but nice feature was the wall mounted soaps in the shower. In the morning there was a great breakfast to enjoy. I had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel.
Can't say anything wrong about this place: it's quiet, clean and tidy. Rooms are renovated. Complimentary Breakfast is really good. Definitely recommend this hotel to others.
HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Super clean, great staff and the room was perfect. Stocked with everything you need, plus more! Comfortable bed, GREAT water pressure. Full fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, etc. The whirlpool was exactly what I needed street a long drive, and it opened at 6am, with tons of clean towels. Also had regular indoor pool; the whole gym and pool area was so clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was loaded - eggs, ham, stuff to make breakfast burritos, yogurt, oatmeal, various breads and bagels, make your own waffles with all the toppings, juices, great coffee available and more.
Jim at the front desk provides A+++ customer service rooms are vary clean and vary vary nice house keeping dose a great job as well highly recommend this hotel
Our client Leigh Strimbeck is a comedian who is always on tour and staying in different hotel properties. The rooms, staff, and accommodations make this place one of their favorites and they ask for this hotel specifically when booking gigs in Buffalo! There's also a free breakfast and a laundry room which is really helpful for touring entertainers. Thank you for taking such great care of our client and for providing those traveling with Ignite Hospitality Services a wonderful experience! #ignitehospitalityservices #travelignite
Not bad, but breakfast could be better. Definitely not enough seating. Front desk staff is great.
Do not stay here - very poor management which shows in the house keeping and the attitude of the front desk. Definitely not worth the price. There is a Hampton Inn across the street that is much cleaner and has a more professional staff. I do not recommend this hotel and I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. After my stay here, I am very disappointed in Marriot hotels and the Marrriot Rewards program and I am questioning my companies decision to set up a corporate rate with Marriot. We should have stayed with Hilton.
Great staff, great location, good price and location. For extended stay (20 days) a bit short: bad office set up, poor kitchen utensils, pans, coffee maker.
Great service. Kim at the front office is very helpful.
Great staff, very friendly. Good showers, comfy bed. Pool and jacuzzi was clean and nice. Breakfast hit the spot.
Pleasant staff, comfortable room and great amenities
Great, clean room. Lots of space! Nice small kitchen area. Front desk attendant was very nice and helpful. Pantry behind the front desk was perfect for a late night snack!
Cosy and well maintained residence, recent American buffet
Really enjoyed my stay here, the rooms have it all; from a kitchen to a sofa and a spacious room!
I am a gold elite member 6 visits left till platnum. My preferences are on file however they did not upgrade me or offer any accommodations. My bathroom has broken tiles, the wall paper in the rest area was peeling off, no tv guide line up , no daily news paper , breakfast was subpar not to mention I had to call maintenance due to my toilet not working. My next visit I may choose another Marriott location.
I had a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn Marriott. The staff was friendly and accommodating, getting my party checked in quickly and offering us complimentary coffee and tea as well as morning breakfast. The room was huge and having a full kitchen was such a welcome surprise. While my party was only 3 people, the suite could have easily fit double. Likewise, the pool and hot tub were welcome additions. The hotel was conveniently located off of the highway and within quick walking distance of shops and restaurants. I would definitely come back.
Room smelt like someone smoked...but the property was smoke free. Other than that, it was good place for a quick rest for the night.
Always a pleasure staying here, staff is very friendly, place is clean.
The front desk employees are as accommodating and attentive as you'd ever need as is the housekeepers. The front lobby area is great for getting work done but so is the room itself. The room was very spacious. It came with two TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The couch and furniture were modern and comfy. There is an oven, dishwasher and microwave. The breakfast in the morning was top notch because some places I stay can't cater to my diet unlike this establishment. They give you free popcorn and tea/coffee in the room. The window curtains are thick so if you need it pitch dark to sleep like I do it will be no issue here.
The gym is adequate and the pool/hot tub area is exceptional. To be in upstate New York and hang out in a hot tub surrounded by windows looking at the cold winter outside with a coffee is an awesome experience. The parking situation is easy and you won't have to hall luggage bags far due to the efficient lay out of the property. Location wise it is within walking/short driving distances to plenty of restaurants. Out of 5 stars I would rate it a 6.
First of all there is no sign on the road to enter the hotel. You can easily miss it. They sell lots of soda but no water. Not a friendly room service. Breakfast is Ok, just a typical one. Kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery. Wash basin is outside the bathroom which is good. Bedroom is neat and clean. Sofa bed is quite old. Not worth to stay here if you are visiting Niagara falls. Otherwise it's ok.
Service is great. The rooms were nice, spacious and had many amenities available
Great service, hotel manager let us use the party room and kitchen for the night.
This is my 6th time staying here as always my visit was great and I love the renovations they have done
Great location for accessing Walden galleria. Great stay and breakfast!
I would give a lower rating if I could... today is day 2 of our 4 night stay
So far...
1- it took 20 mins for anyone to come to the front desk to check us in. This property is SEVERELY understaffed never more than 2 people working (excluding housekeeping in the AM) so if guests need towels/sheets in the evening someone has to leave the desk to deliver them but they never seem to think it may be more efficient if 1 person delivers and the other remain at the front if you decide to pick up your own items you STILL have to wait for someone to return to the desk as they are either both there or both away
2- the location of the hotel is ideal there's tons of food within walking distance we walked across the parking lot to ApplesBees had dinner and walked back; apparently it was right after shift change Kirstin from the front desk was SPEEDING in the parking lot and came within inches of hitting me, my 7 year old niece and my sister, she stopped, rolled her window down smirked at my brother in law and 4yo nephew then continued without apologizing
3 the room itself is dated which would be ok, but its also dirty which is unacceptable. there were food crumbs to be exact it seems to be trail mix next to the sofa in plain view, stains on the kitchen cabinets and hair ALL over the bathrooms the pull out sofa has what appears to be white colored stains anyone can guess what those are.
You just feel icky when you're in your room.
Hopefully I don't have to add to this I don't see how it could get worse.
Update:
Night 3 of our stay Jim from the Front Desk is amazing!! He earned this place another star
Service was just terrible during check in. Lack of attention and not at the Marriott level I'm used to. Very aggressive dog was in hotel hallway, carpet in room very dated. Sofa was also less than appealing with stains. Lots of other hotels in same bloc, will certain skip this property on future trips to this area.
Poor upkeep: tub & sink drained VERY slowly, heater made constant clanking noise throughout the night, dishwasher had dirty utensil inside from prior guest, living room window didn't close all the way (so excessive noise from industrial buildings next door), soap dispenser was empty, cleanliness of hallways and side entryways could have been better (saw the same spilled coffee in side entryway go 2 days without being cleaned up), and surprised to see coffee stirrers out in the open (hard to grab 1 without touching others) during COVID times.
Hotel is great at everything - great service, very kind staff, clean and modern room, excellent breakfast. I'm completely satisfied with it.
I am a comedian traveling through New York state. I had an extra day in Buffalo, so I decided to stay the night at this location. Wow, the room was like a really nice one bedroom apartment. There was kitchen, the most comfortable king size bed that I have ever slept in, a pull out sofa, flat screen tv, and one of the nicest bathrooms that I have ever seen on the road.
I didn't spend too much time so I wasn't able to enjoy the other amenities that the hotel offered, but they do have a swimming pool and hot tub available if you like to use those little extra comforts.
All in all I give this place an A+ rating, and I would definitely stay there again if I was ever in the area.
Other patrons were rude but customer service was pretty decent
Called them up today as I wanted to check out of the Holiday inn - spoke to Diana - who said they have a room available at $219 - so I cancelled my holiday Inn room and called her back in 3 mins - and she said someone booked the room online (which is a lie as you can't book a room online on the same day) - Holiday inn was nice enough to give me back my room - but these guys just screwed me over - so be careful when you speak with them

I m shocked this hotel is a Marriott. I had to switch rooms 3 times ( before eventually leaving for another hotel after 1 night). One of the rooms had a Centipede crawling up the wall! Another room had a used toothpick in a drawer (the big ones with the plastic pick on the end) and other items left from the person before me. The bathtub had a constant drip all night and pink mold was growing from the moisture.
The problem with this hotel is that they took an old rundown hotel and tried to spruce it up with newer furniture but items like the carpet, the bathroom and all the cabinets are SUPER old, worn, and falling apart.
The pros: the bed was extremely comfortable, it s across the street from the Chick-fil-A and they had plenty of green space to walk my dog (who they welcomed)... But if you re like me and value at least average cleanliness, go somewhere else. I m currently at the home2 suites down the street and It s much cleaner and newer
For a few years this was my go-to hotel when visiting Buffalo on business. Well maintained and typically a friendly staff. My last visit there involved an incident that was very alarming. The evening of 6/16 and morning of 6/17 there was shots fired on the second floor outside my room. What amazed me was the lack of a active shooter program and most of all the lack of sympathy from the staff. Nobody reached out the next morning. I was one of the few that ended up outside for about 90 minutes as the local authorities cleared the building. The worse part is I than reached out to their customer care center 2x and not once did I get a response. I do understand as an organization they probably have protocol to follow, it is/was an active police investigation but a simple "hey , last night was rough, I hope all is well" goes a long way in this crazy year we call 2020. I am platinum elite and this will be the last time Marriott gets my business.
For the price paid, this was a nice hotel. Clean, quiet, most of the staff were friendly. There were a few small issues but again, for the price they weren't big enough problems to complain about.
Nice property to stay near buffalo airport. The staff is very nice and friendly. They also have free drinks in the evening with some snacks. I just feel the property is old and you will experience some issues like lights flickering in the room, bath tub not draining water quickly.
