Friendly staff and convenient location. Always able to help out and make sure your stay is a pleasant one
Stayed here a second time while in Buffalo for business. Plenty of traffic near the Galleria area but still a great place to stay regardless. Rooms that feel like home. Very helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms/beds. Will be staying again.
Decent rooms. Decent beds. Breakfast is available though very limited. Staff is helpful. Comfortable stay overall.
Wonderfully clean hotel to stay. The only complaint I have is directional towards front counter and elevator could be better
Nice Marriot property. Received a great welcome. The room was nice, clean and all I could ask for for the night.
I stayed here many times and each time it was coming home to my family
Not much to say other than the rooms were adequate and the staff friendly.
Fantastic experience staying at the Residence Inn Galleria Mall Buffalo. Attentive management and staff. You can't beat the warm and inviting atmosphere that this property provides. Perfect location. Near many shopping and food venues.Overall the property is really clean and managed well. Rooms were spacious and everything worked as they should. I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Buffalo area.
Nice hotel within reasonable distance to Downtown Buffalo, Niagara Falls, New York and Ontario, Canada. Professional staff. Decent breakfast. Carpet, furniture and cleanliness need to improve though. We found that the bottom of the sofa bed and mattress were badly soiled and stained. We also found that there is no quality inspection of cleaning in the rooms. There were traces of feces around the toilet. There was a hair in the fridge and the fridge door was sticky and had food particles around the handle. The kitchenette counters were sticky as well. Queen bed was not comfortable to sleep on. As far as cleanliness, this is the worst Marriott that we ever stayed in. You might be able to find better lodging for the same rate.
Exceptional service and team at this location. I would recommend it if you are in the Buffalo area.
During my stay I would continuously find items someone left before me. Under garments at that. The house keeper was rude I asked for new sheets and towels once out of a three night stay and she never brought them the front desk gave me a partial refund however there was an odor in the room comes to find out someone left dirty underwear in the closet
First time staying here and was properly impressed. The hotel is undergoing renovations so I wasn't able to enjoy all of the amenities, but everything was clean and well kept. My room was spacious and even included a gas fireplace. The location is across the highway from the mall, so there's plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. You're only 15 minutes from the airport or downtown Buffalo.
Visited friends, rooms was nice, hotel was clean and well-kept, reception staff was friendly.
Very nice hotel and the rooms are are spacious. They have a nice courtyard to lounge outside and the pool and gym are good sizes. I will definitely be back.
Jim at the Front Desk was welcoming, friendly and witty. We got excellent service from him and went out of his way to make our stay a pleasure. The room was large , with an equipped kitchen and sofa bed. Very clean rooms.
The hotel itself is close to all shopping and Walden Galleria Mall. The area is surrounded by an array of restaurants to choose from.
I would highly recommend this hotel. I was greeted by a guy named jim at the front desk he was very friendly, helpful and made it very exciting to be there at that hotel. If I am in the area again I will definitely be back.
Not happy at all, I was staying there for 5 days, they only made my room one day
this room was nice, was not expecting a stove fridge and full kitchen. I couldve lived here for months but was only in town for a night. highly recommend this hotel if in the area for short or long periods of time
Hair in bathroom and on towels. Used towels in closet and hair on towels right out of dryer. Stains on sheets, duvet, carpet, etc. Smell of mold. Air conditioning unit broken. 73+ in room in August. Bug crawled out of garbage compactor. Staff unwilling to address/remove loud/disruptive guests. If you want sleep and cleanliness do not stay here.
Excellent stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was friendly!
I had such a great stay at the Residence Inn. It had a great kitchenette with everything I needed. There was also a lot near by (restaurants, target, etc) which came in handy as well. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was friendly. Will definitely return on my next trip through buffalo.
Sorry, I can t recommend . I picked it because I needed a pet friendly suite. I was quoted price with my pet...and when i show up with my small dog the woman says that will be and extra 100 bucks with the dog. Given the fact that it was late and all local hotels booked solid i kept the reservation. I was given keys to suite. I go to suite on 3rd floor. The keys don t work. I go to front desk. The woman clerk has a real attitude and says keys work and acts like i am an idiot for not being able to open door. I go back up with keys..they don t work again. This time I call and after 15 min she comes to the room with new keys where we are waiting in hall so as to show me how stupid i am and she can t get the keys to work. ( hahaha, it was satisfying when the key didn t work- who so stupid now Merideth?). She reassigns room tells us to wait on a different floor outside room 106.. she finally arrives and says oops..got to go to a different room.. I ask if they will do something on price for all the inconveniences she says yes, will do whatever...figuring they will make some small accommodation....when i check out statement they made no adjustment or accommodation at all..... I expect better and will never ever stay there again. Also, the tv in my room the picture was all pixelated and almost unwatchable...yes i even took af few pictures to prove it....
The only positives, the man desk clerk late at night and in the morning were good friendly people, very welcoming.
That said , with all the hotels out there..why chose this place? I won t again.....as a marriot rewards member...there are better places to stay for the money
My mother- in-law ( Cynthia Hanson) booked this place forour honeymoon but it is deplorable. The bed was so awful I literally slept on the floor without my husband the first night. It hurt my back that much! My family is titanium members (meaning we stay at Marriot properties exclusively) and we have stayed at more than 40 residence inns over the years and this one takes the cake for being the worst. what is so disappointing is that this hotel knew are experience and did not even credit the nights we stayed. They did cancel the future nights. But really should I have paid full price, or at ALL for a room on my honeymoon in this condition. This past weekend we stayed in Dallas at the residence inn near the Dallas Cowboys practice stadium. Now THAT is what I expect from a residence inn! This was such an utter disappointment. We had to pack our belongings and uber to a new hotel to even have a suitable bed for us to sleep in. which cost us hundreds more, booking so last minute. The management at the Residence Inn should do something to make this right with us. After decades of trusting them, it took me a year to come back to one. And this situation, for our honeymoon of all times, was beyond unacceptable.
Great room quality and amazing continental breakfast!
Terrible!! By far one of the worst properties from Marriott in terms of customer service. The staff is extremely rude, rooms are not kept well, misses out on room services, rooms are dirty, appliances did not work within the rooms, leaking air conditioner & drenched carpets. The only good thing about the property is it s location and proximity to restaurants/retail shops. Would suggest to stay away from this place.
The location was near alot of markets . And near downtown Buffalo and Niagara and Canada. But the service was subpar . I've stayed at better Marriott hotels .
The Buffalo Gallaria Residence Inn is a sweet spot for touring bands to crash. Rooms are equipped with full kitchen, fold out couch, and two interior rooms in which you can separate the snorers from the peaceful sleepers. The most crucial part for us was that each interior room has it s own full bathroom a rare treat on the road. We had a painless late night check-in from super friendly team member who went out of her way to accommodate our needs. The band I am tour managing is from Greece and was grateful for the warm room with fireplace and seemingly endless hot water. In addition to the spaciousness; the hotel offers a next level hot breakfast buffet, indoor pool and gracious noon checkout. We were unfamiliar with this chain and inspired by this particular one to seek out other locations on the road. An unbeatable value for the price. Six stars.
Great stay! Big rooms that are very clean and quiet, we stayed in the 2 room suite and it exceeded our expectations. Really nice to have a full kitchen and dining space in the living room area and the rooms are well separated between the shared space for privacy. We arrived late and they offered us a later check out which was nice and the complimentary breakfast bar in the morning was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place and will be staying again next time I m in Buffalo.
It's always a pleasure staying at this location. There are alot shopping and places to dine near by. The rooms are beginning to get a little dated though. Nevertheless, it is still a nice room.
Very pleasant experience! Checked in late at night. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel & room was very clean , and beds were extremely comfortable which I needed after a long drive. Will definitely stay here again next time!
Good location, next to a mall and many restaurants and stores. Decent and cost effective hotel if you do not want to stay in Niagara Falls (30 mins away).
Nice rooms beds are comfortable ... Breakfast is good swimming pool and gym available too
everyone was so accomodating. place was clean and close to everything. amazing hot breakfast complimentary and full of choices. hot coffee hot cocoa was avail and fresh even when we went down at 1030 pm. pool is perfect for family with young kids and hot tub was awesome. a++++
Very friendly staff. Only problem we had is that the room we got previously had a pet, my father started having allergic reactions and we had to move.
No problems at all. I only gave it 4 stars because the pool was closed. Otherwise my stay was very good
Clean and nice size rooms - exactly what we paid for.
Wow- our room was absolutely perfect. Beautiful, and laid out thoughtfully with everything we needed in easy to access/find places. I m on the road with my band: by the time we get done loading out all our equipment from the venue it s a relief to get to the hotel and be checked in quickly and then easily find parking. Both were easy at this place :)
The complimentary breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast we ve had yet- I especially loved the extensive variety of waffle toppings and more variety of hot teas than just, Lipton .
The staff was also genuinely friendly and helpful.
Can t recommend enough.

Clean and comfortable. Exactly why I don't think twice after booking a night at Marriott.
Clean and spacious room and bathroom. The furniture looked new and the bed was comfy.
The staff was very professional and friendly.
All the electronics in the room worked and the WI FI was fast.
Morning breakfast...included!!
Wi-Fi was easy set up and also included!
Very pleased with our hotel experience. Great service and I will be back!
Rooms are good. All rooms are studios with small kitchen area, sitting area and a queen bed. Facilities like gym, indoor swimming pool are available. However no service for lunch or dinner arrangements. Few eateries nearby e.g. Chipotle and McD but difficult to manage for people staying for long durations. Location is very good as it is close to walden galleria mall which has lot of choices for eating, shopping etc.
Nice place. Friendly staff. Very close to Walden Galleria, Target, and Olive Garden. Good continental breakfast - nice variety of breakfast food.
Im am writing a review, and a not so good one, the room are beautiful, butbon valentines day of 2020 i stayed in a room with no television from night till the morning. When i called the front desk that night he came up to check out the problem couldbt figure out what was going on as to why the television was not working he said that he would call the tech guy and he will have him figure out the issue, tech guy never came. I was not offered a different room seeing as though there was a problem with the room i was staying in, so the the next morning complained again to the lady at the front desk, she took my number and said she would have her management call me because they werent in at the moment. A week and a half later still no call from management. I have called and left voicemails, and no one has addressed the issue. I paid all this money for a room and didnt get the full experience, not one accomidation, so if u ask me the room are great, but the customer service is horrible and I will not reccomand nor would i ever stay here again.
Clean rooms, good customer service, average breakfast
Room had a fishy smell to it. The sofa beds mattresses looked and felt like it was original to the sofa, I could feel every bar in the frame. Room is spacious and in a convenient location.
Rooms were very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, and the location is perfect have many restaurants in the area.
The Residence Inn by Marriot Buffalo Galleria Mall is a gorgeous modern hotel close to the airport and to the downtown area as well. My 4-person party and I had a wonderful stay in our two bedroom suite centered by a kitchen / living room space decorated with siple but modern furniture. The sidetable to the couch even had built in electrical outlets for any normal plug and USB inputs. The beds were large, clean and comfortable. Our room was clean in general. Another nice touch was the soap in the bathroom. The shampoo and condition had Tea Tree and there was Lemon scented shower gel too. Oh I forgot to mention, each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Can't beat that! Next time I'm in Buffalo, I will definitely be back.
Management didn't handle a situation of a loud guest, by moving them or asking them to leave. I was asked to move, then the worst happen. We came home and discovered we had bed bugs in our luggage. That was the only hotel we stayed at. Do not stay here!
Biggest issue is the fitted sheet does not fit mattress. Spent too much time sleeping on bare mattress.
.
I would give this place 0 starts but cannot post unless one is given. My family was discriminated against and DENIED access by one of their employees based off of their own ASSUMPTION that there was a party Being thrown. After receiving the run around we finally spoke to an assistant manager at this site who stated that my sisters card was declined. MY SISTERS CARD WAS NEVER SWIPED!!! Explain to me how a card can be declined if it wasn t swiped? HOW? My sister is a rewards member there and had a confirmation email for her reservation as well. Upon her arrival they didn t ask for her ID or swipe her card before denying her. They stated that they saw multiple people and balloons in the car ......there was only my sister and my mother in the car...! So is your policy to stalk people as they arrive in the parking lot? Anyways that assistant manager even sent out an email apologizing for the inconvenience ( acknowledging that she knows what happened was wrong) then when we called, came up with multiple LIES AND EXCUSES! Then went on to say we don t have to post our policy OK! THEN IF THE POLICY IS NOT POSTED IT IS NOT..I repeat NOT IN EFFECT. PERIOD. If your policy isn t posted then how are people supposed to know what that policy is? Also the employee who denied my sister access also tried referring her to a different hotel....My family is now taking this case to the attorney general.
Service is great, full kitchen in suites. But the hotel is a little old in general.
Large, clean rooms. Close to the airport, and right off the highway. Evening receptions were great. A little airplane noise, but it didn't go too late.
Nasty place. Smelly room. Mold in bathroom, stinking dirty rugs, body odor in pillows from previous guest. Dirty toaster. An absolute NIGHTMARE. A disgrace to the Marriott name. I will NEVER stay at this location again.
Super clean, modern and comfy bed! The staff are very customer focused too.
Good place good location peaceful and grocery shops nearby
WORST HOTEL EVER, I was staying here on a friend's recommendation because of it proximity to Galleria but turned out to be a HUGE mistake. During our 4 days stay, we encountered multiple issues,
1) Trash bins were not emptied everyday,
2) Bed sheets and pillows smelled horrible, looks like house keeping does not change them
3) Tiled area in the kitchen was dirty, had dried food particles on floor, looks like it has not been even cleaned in weeks.
4) Housekeeping does not refill for shampoo, conditioner, lotion and dishwasher pouches
5) The carpet was never vacuumed during our 4 day stay
6) I can go on for days but I've never experienced such a bad Marriott in my life
DEFINITELY never coming back to this one and would advise anyone who is looking for a good time away from home, stay AWAY from this.
Nice location, close to the airport and convenient for all the places we wanted to visit which included the University at Buffalo and Niagara falls. The rooms were fairly basic, but clean and the staff were courteous throughout our stay.
Comfortable... very close to the mall... close to the airport
Really well designed and maintained hotel... but the price is absolutely gone crazy. maybe because the Chick-fila is within walking distance? Not really sure but will return when prices are more reasonable. Which is soon I hope.
The room was very shabby. The couches were very worn out and dirty.
Good hotel for business travelers. Close to the airport which avoids downtown Buffalo traffic.
We had the privilege of staying in a spacious suite for 3 nights. There were two bedrooms with a big queen in each and a huge living room area with a couch/pull out bed. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The living room had a large apartment style Kitchenette with a microwave, oven, full size fridge and plateware/cooking utensils - we saved money by making food in our suite! The living room fireplace was a nice touch! The hotel was conveniently located by plenty of shopping and food options. We really appreciated the kind staff members, the huge indoor pool and hot tub area, the free coffee, and the free happy hour (beer and hot dogs!!). Free lobby coffee and a continental breakfast as well. Overall, would recommend. 5/5
Not happy with the cleanliness of our rooms. Wife turned down our bed and someone's hair between the sheets. Floor sticky in the kitchen area. Stove has debris from last guests. Sofabed mattress is in bad shape. Can't tell if floors have been vacuumed. A/C vents are dirty, need to be wiped clean. After decades of using Marriott for business travel, these rooms fall far short of what Marriott stands for. Wife is furious!
It was really hard to regulate the temperature in my room. Staff are very nice, but my room was really far from the front desk/breakfast area so it was not really convenient to attend breakfast. The hotel needs to be updated. Very conveniently located to mall, restaurants, and the highway.
Best place to stay in Buffalo. Huge rooms, more than enough space for the four of us staying. Front desk was extremely helpful, check in was a breeze. Definitely one of the better continental breakfasts I ve seen. Everything was perfect from top to bottom. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, not one complaint here!
One of our clients, Mike Bova a nationally touring comedian. He's played Buffalo many times and when he in the city, this is the only place he stays! Every room is a suite. This last time he stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite...which also has a pullout sofa and...wait for it...a gas fireplace. WOW, what an amazing room! Each room has a very large kitchen area with full size fridge and dishwasher. There are glasses, silverware and plates. The pool is amazing and the breakfast with hot items like eggs and sausage is amazing. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms and hotel are clean, the staff is amazing and he can't say enough good things about this property. When you come to Buffalo...STAY HERE!
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Centrally located
the rooms were very cold and couldn't get the temperature up, the sofa bed was horrible to sleep on.. wouldn't go there again. there are better choices around there.
This was a wonderful place to stay. Large rooms with plenty of places to sit and relax, a fully stocked kitchen, and large, comfortable beds. The staff was incredibly friendly, I don't think think I've met a more cordial housekeeping staff. The breakfast options were varied and filling. I would absolutely stay here again, especially for a longer stay.
It's okay but hallway and rooms smells like wet carpet everywhere you go
Pretty typical Residence Inn. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will stay again when in Buffalo.
This was my second time staying at this Residence Inn in Buffalo and it only got better the second time about. Our room was incredible spacious and very well equipped. The beds were fantastic and the separate rooms allowed to a relaxing night watching TV without keeping anyone else is our party awake. The location was great with restaurants and things to do near by. I ve been travels for the past 2-3 weeks and this is definitely the best room I ve had on this tour. If you re in/around Buffalo or the Falls, I d highly recommend you stay here.
