We stayed in the Deluxe King in the A tower. The A tower is there renovated rooms. The size of the room was very spacious. The bed was a bit harder than other nice hotels. The room was also very cold especially the "marble" bathroom. The hotel includes wifi with the resort fee. It would have been difficult to connect a device to the TV. Overall the room and casino were nice.

was here for a convention ! the staff was friendly as usual, every time we called for something from the front desk we got it IMMEDIATELY, the room was nice and clean when we got in. loved it, will be back next year like always !

I live all the activities at the GSR. Theater, movie theater, gambling, pool, arcade , carnival games, laser tag, kiddie area for climbing, foods located near entertainment , Johnny rockets and much more. Why 3 stars? 1) Elevators took too long with 4 operational elevators to get service to come down to the casino level and to go back to our rooms. 2) requested a microwave on day 1 of our 2 night stay and never got for either of our 2 rooms but got a fridge that we did not request. 3) smokeless floors stank of smoke from the ventalation. Regardless of the issues it's still a place I would come with my kids.

They are changing out hardware inside the machines and very confusing on what machines to use. I didn't notice anyone winning either.

Great for families! And their theater for concerts huge. Our kids loved the arcade, movie theater and bowling alley. Not a lot of choices for gambling though.

We flew out to Reno from N. Illinois for the ATHS national show. It was held at this casino so we also stayed here. I booked our room in January for travel in June. When we got there our room was incorrect and so was our bill. The clerk at the desk was more then helpful and fixed everything for me. Just make sure to double check your bill. The resort fee we were initially charged was higher then the one quoted to me in my confirmation from the hotel. (I did book through the hotel because there was a block of rooms reserved for this event.) We got to our room and it was huge and clean! The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were very soft. We didn t get a rental car so we ate at the casino. Every where we ate was so good! The staff at the hotel and at the restaurants were so friendly! I m big about customer service and everyone was helpful and kind! The room rates were also good for around a holiday. The other thing to watch out for if you are traveling on a budget, the food was very expensive. If you want to stay at a casino while in Reno this one is very nice!

One of the better casinos to gamble, machines are looser than most in town... The food is decent... The buffet is good, not great... The cafe has some good eats at reasonable prices...The comps are some of the best in town... Once you earn a tier level, you usually keep it for a year.

How do you run out of towels 35 minutes before the pool is closed? How do you not run continuous laundry in a facility like this? The pool manager A. Moreno either didn't care or wasn't given enough authority to escalate. Nice views. I like the high water pressure at the RV park. Fantastic brunch buffet.

Comfortable spacious rooms, dining selections are just ok and huge casino floor. Great sound in the showroom since remodeled.

Very great place to stay. So many fun things to do. Was staying there on a cyber monday deal they had. I noticed that they had so many hidden fees and the day resort credit that was given to us wasn't explained properly even after i had asked about it 3 times to be sure. They weren't aware of their own promotion advertisements.

The family went to GRS for Christmas dinner at the Buffet. The carvery featured smoked brisket, roast prime rib, turkey and New York strip steak. They had piles of shrimp and King Crab. The Pho station was busy as was the comfort food section. This buffet had never disappointed for special events.

It would have been wonderful except security kept bothering my husband and I because we were charging our phones at a sitting area. They asked if we were guest and then we had to show proof. This happened multiple times durning our stay.I was very upset.

This place is awesome beautiful oversized rooms for great rates, everything you need all in one place, Casino, restaurants, and gift shops, little bit of everything. Very nice people, very willing to help and make sure your stay is wonderful. Very luxurious but without the enormous price, very reasonable.

They have the best comp rewards and a lot of activities to do,such as bowling swimming golf driving range

Clean properly. Kind people who work hard for a good living. I truly enjoy visiting here!

Although the parking may require you to walk quite a bit, the staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. The only problem with the GSR I've ever had is with the parking and some rowdy guests.

Great property, but watch your every move. You'd think in this modern age with cameras literally all over a hotel/casino that you could track down someone in a 60 second span that stole your phone (multiple cameras directly above where my phone was sitting). Yet somehow they take the lazy approach and say they can't find any information. I've been a big fan of this hotel from a long time, but super frustrated that someone could steal my phone in literally seconds without one camera picking up the details. Time to step up your security game GSR and protect your guests.

The casino is very nice and clean. We were going to see a show there and the theater is great.

Came to watch a movie. Only 4 bucks! They removed the love seats, which is a huge bummer. But everyone that works there is super sweet.

The GSR resort and casino was an amazing experience. The staff is friendly, kind, and takes good care of the guests. They have good customer service and the cleanliness and hygiene of the rooms is good as well.

Beautiful casino that offers great loyalty rewards! I m from NJ and used to frequent Atlantic City, but they wouldn t even come close to what the GSR offers. Amazing night club, and table games for all!

And they offer free Tesla charging!

Prices are reasonable. Food was good. Service was excellent. I would definitely come here again.

This place is amazing. It offers everything you need a d its kind friendly. They have a 50 lane bowling alley, arcade, kids zone with all the jumpers, bounce houses, and laser tag. They also have island golf, virtual golf, movie theater, a variety of fast food restaurants, and an amazing buffet and a variety of upscale restaurants.
There are so many other things they have but it will take me awhile to list them. I highly recommend that you stay here if you ever visit Reno.

Honestly I do not know how to begin on how bad my experience was. Room service is expected at all hotels and is a priority, but apparently at this hotel it is not . After spending the whole day outside, my family and I come back to our same undone room and this is at 6 in the afternoon. The room service workers are lazy and do not take their job as a priority. Next, my family and I decided to go to the pool to swim. Within an hour someone managed to steal my shirt that i securely placed. Although security was there it still managed to happened. Dissapointing. Finally, the non smoking areas in the casino seems to be taken for light as there are people smoking in those areas. It is very sad to see that the employees here do not take consideration into their own rules or into the guests who pay to stay there. I do not recommend this hotel as nothing seems to matter here. Won't be coming to stay here anytime soon.

Biggest place in Reno .bring walking shoes .so far from front doors to room makes you not want to go any place ! It's a mall down stairs and older movies in movie theater. Bowling in bowling alley .or video arcade a lot of kool things to do but pricey .they have golf putting range outside over man made lake drop swing or go karts .bring kids bring lots of cash as you will need it

Seems alright, but weed smokers blow their smoke indiscriminately, the entrance is intentionally designed to keep you in a casino atmosphere, and there's somewhat of a musty smell in the room halls. Rooms are large and well designed, service is friendly.

A fun place to get away for the night. Lots to do. Good slots. Fun bars. The outdoor pool area is pretty nice with fire pits and heaters for the colder seasons.

Big full of all kinds of different assets Spas hot tubs big pool workout gymnasium even a kids arcade its own movie theater Pizzeria the whole downstairs floor is like a mini shopping mall meanwhile as an RV year it's great for the overnight stay but from what I understand they no longer have long-term guests there which is what part of their problem was in the past

That's good bars good entertainment wonderful place to enjoy an evening.

The rooms are nice and spacious. However I'm not sure if all rooms are updated or have the same decor.

The hotel room was clean and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The arcade was a blast for my kids and we had very good meals at the cafe. The only downside was the price of food at the cafe.

Booked through Expedia for a week, tired canceling our reservation on the check in day but the hotel refused to refund and charged for the week even though we did not get a room or key. Then on top of that they tried to charge us for the hotel fee on the day we were supposed to have checked and we weren't even there. They did refund the hotel amenities fee after i called .Expedia did try to help but could not do anything. Would recommend booking one night at a time so as not to get screwed by the hotel.

Hotel was clean seemed like a nice resort. We ate at the cafe and service was excruciatingly slow. The server didn't seem to know the menu and would walk right by us without looking to see if we needed anything, when we did.

Booked a room for a long time in advance and they gave the room to somebody else or overbooked and we couldn't stay there. It is straight BS.

If you enjoy paying full price for your room and the hotel controls your a/c then this is for you. Movement sensors detect if the room is occupied and when they don t detect movement it shuts off the a/c. Staff cant override what the maintenance department sets the controls at. Therefore, if your room faces the west and you want to rest on your bed your room will stay at 80 degrees. Complaining doesnt matter they dont care, sleeping at nite it doesn t detect movement room stayed over 80 degrees. The casino saves money at your discomfort. After a decade of staying their often for weeks while for work and vacations 3 years ago after they implemented the new efficient thermostats i now stay at silver legacy.

The Grand Sierra Resort is probably the best family resort to go to. They have a bungee jump go karts and even a 50 Lane Bowling Alley along with a movie theater. And even a place to hit golf balls. Tons of restaurants and the state-of-the-art nightclub called The Lex.

This is where we got married in 2012!! It's where we stay every time we go to Reno!

Nice hotel to stay in Reno. Reception and elevators are not hidden in the casino. Very good "hotel" beds. Nice and quiet rooms. Some noise from the runway, but not too bad. Free bottled water in the rooms!

Great hotel, incredible staff, fantastic casino atmosphere. Rooms are big and luxurious.

Loved the high steaks restaurant! Everything was so clean and the people were very courteous.

We catch the older movies there and love the price altho the popcorn machine was down....on that day....never before

The Grand Sierra was very nice, as someone that used to visit there a good few years back, they've done a lot of renovation, and it looks much much better now. Newer gaming machines, great food.

Staff is disrespectful, especially during events (which we all pay for). Which is extremely frustrating when you paid big bucks for a VIP row and end up treated like second class citizens by their event staff.

Very nice rooms plenty of table games and slot machines. Pleanty of things for the kids to do while you are in the casino. Try the out door golf range great way to pass the time.

The walls are not soundproof. While walking through the hallway, we heard people moaning really loud. The room service is kinda slow.

I love the grand seirra. Thee people that work there are nice and it smells good and the rooms are nice and clean. They also have everything u could want so u never have to go a anywhere else.

I was there for the furry convention the security was amazing and all the staff were great.

I think that gunquest arcade should have better games sense it is bigger than atlants

No signage to Cinema. No directions to Cinema. Exists only in the imagination of people searching for a place to watch movies.

I did not stay here. I came for Hot August Nights, the car show and vendors set up there. Lots of classic cars being shown. Vendors there also selling their wares. Lots to buy such as t shirts, signs, etc and food and drinks. Must see this show.

Went to see the Willie Nelson concert tonight. Valet parking was pathetically slow, so understaffed. Then when I got inside, the line to get into the theater was ridiculously long. They were running everyone thru security and only had 2 lines. The show started at 9:00, 15 minutes before I and many others ever made it to our seats. So understaffed. Then it ended at 10. The most expensive and shortest concert I have ever been to. So i got to enjoy the concert for only 45 minutes! Huge waste of time, effort and money. GSR needs to get their act together.

Outrageous resort fees. Also ask for a donation to housekeeping since they don't pay then enough.

Gorgeous hotel, attached casinos, entertainment, & restaurants. Unless you're gambling, bring your own booze for drinks. The design your own Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar on Sunday was bomb though.

Was hoping to kill some time before heading to the airport here. Was told I wasn't allowed to have bags with me, and that they could not check bags if I wasn't a guest. This seems like a silly pairing of policies if they're hoping to make money off anyone other than their guests, and turned out to be pretty inconvenient for me. The staff was very polite and professional when telling me the rules, but it was frustrating none the less.

Their player rewards program seems to keep changing as far as what kind of offers they give out. At first it was great, they gave us free nights almost every month. We're not big gamblers so it was kind of a surprise honestly. But then they changed having resort fees and that made it so you had to pay the $38 in taxes or whatever it is and I stopped going as much. Recently, they have gotten better again. So I'm pleased

Nice new hotel that's outstanding for kids. Large arcade, laser tag, 24x7 bowling, 2movie theaters, year round pool and hot tubs. Very accommodating staff.

It was my first time in Reno and my brother took me there to play the slot machines. It was very elegant and beautiful. Only thing is i dont like smell of smoke while i eat or drink. Over all it was a nice visit there.

Beautiful inside, but small winings at slots than at Atlantis.

Went bowling. 50 lanes. Nice atmosphere. But bowling pin setters kept having problems. Staff friendly. Bowling during weekdays was reasonable.

Beautiful area. Huge resorts and friendly staff. Large selection of video games. They are fairly slow with getting your drinks tho, unlike Vegas. The casino doesn't have a strong cigarette smell like silver legacy, etc. Food is great. Buffet is one of the best In Reno. Easy parking since they own the entire lot of estate.

Attended a concert in the show room. I really like the stadium seating although tables are still available. As the place is surrounded in parking lots I usually have no trouble finding a spot if I don't want to use valet.

The service in an of the areas whether a restaurant, showroom, gaming floor, bar area is typically just fine and always consistent.

Nice Reno hotel. One thing we are particular on is smoke smell and upon entering could not smell smoke and the casino/rooms are well ventilated. Employees were fantastic. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the sink/shower didn't drain and there was a burnt light bulb in the lamp. All in all though it was just fine.

It's what you'd expect from a resort casino. Big, clean, lots of options for entertainment and eating.

I would say it's the best hotel/casino in town, whether it's a family stay or a night for clubbing and gambling. It has so much to offer, from fantastic food, to engaging activities. I had a blast!

Room was nice but lights didn't work, room was not made up one day, replenishment of some room amenities not always done. Found out the lounge on our floor was not available to us. I think they are doing too much. Work on customer service and then worry about the theater, bowling, golf and go carts later. The pool was really nice though.

We LOVED this place. No smoking hotels are the future!

The Grand Sierra Resort Buffet has one of the rudest managers I have ever encountered. I simply called with a question about my dinner party and he was rude and short with me. Never mentioned his name or seemed interested in helping me with my question....Not happy...

Great rooms and helpful staff! Wonderful family friendly resort off the strip!

I love that they have so much to offer security is kind of rude and short tempered but understandable considering the people they have to deal with on a daily basis.

The GSR continues to grow without regard of the customer's need to first park before enjoying the resort.

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Reno. The spa is amazing! The rooms are clean and comfortable. If we ever had an issue the staff always made it right. We recently went to Reno and stayed at the GSR for a family funeral. The staff was very accommodating to us and our needs. We highly recommend GSR for your next stay in Reno Nevada.
