We stayed here in 2011 for a conference. Honestly, we aren't casino people, but we do get excited about different things! So, we stayed at the casino. It of course had a lovely cozy room and the restaurant at the top was beautiful and delicious. Mostly, we were just so happy to be away from the kids that it all seemed wonderful.

We don't gamble much, and gambling has become more and more about slot machines rather than table games. Also, I am never a fan of the smoking that inevitably accompanies gambling. Still, there was some fun for us while we were there. The air filters were working well, so the smoke was only very slight. I think we lost $50. Well worth it to say we gambled in Reno!

I absolutely had so much fun at this place. I will definitely come back and always recommend family/friends. They have so much to do under one roof. They have a movie theater, performance theater, club, arcade, heated pool with tvs and a bar, restaurants, spa, casino, outdoor go-carts, stores and so much more! This is a great place to take the family for much needed fun.

Theres EVERYTHING you need in One spot fun for all age's. Nice rooms and great food especially the all you can eat buffet. I will definitely be back with my friends and family

Overall cleaner & much less smokier and brighter ambience than the other casinos with the newly remodeled Peppermill rivaling & in some ways surpassing. By far best casino for families.

Professional staff, clean atmosphere. Great club scene, lots of gaming options. We'll be back soon!

Check-in was easy and they accommodated the request for a single king as soon as possible (we came in that night around midnight). The place is really family-friendly as almost the whole lower level is safe for kids. One bad was a slightly uncomfortable mattress, but other than that, no issues.

Room was nice and clean. Food was delicjous. Only issue was they didn't have my room ready by 3 so I had to wait until 5

It's always clean and the service is generally fast and friendly. I don't gamble or smoke and I enjoy that it's air quality is noticeably better than other casinos in the area. They also have a wide variety of entertainment in their various bars that I enjoy.

Strong smoke smell on the non-smoking floor and my room. In this low standard you know it would totally useless to complain to any manager.
Don't even try to receive a package at Grand Sierra Resort and Casinoas me, they would claim that they never received it. Especially those sent via USPS, Because Grand Sierra resort and Casino set a PO BOX right there, and during weekend or holiday you won't get your package on time, as post office is close.
Warn that they do charge Tourist Fee 2 and Resort Fee 29.95 extra everyday. The worst thing is alought I booked for 5 nights, but actually I only stayed for 4 nights. Even though they still charged me 5 night Resort fee and Tourists Fee, which is unacceptable at all.
Pray the God you won't have any open issue after you leave that hotel. Because once you leave the hotel, their phone operator won't get you any responsible staff to solve you problem.
The last, you won't find any their email address on internet. And their phone operator won't tell you as well.

Great beautiful rooms. Marble tile bathrooms from floor to ceiling. Powerful water pressure. Went to Charlie Palmers steak house. Was not impressed by the food or the service. The waiter insulted my boyfriend twice if not more. Granted we were not dressed up ,but I don't think that should make a difference.

The Grand Sierra is a very nice resort with many things to do here like gambling,clubbing,golf,theater,bowling, and of course nice bars and restaurants!!! The rooms here are upscale as well.

Not bad for a Reno casino. Bright and colorful inside with plenty of tables and slot machines.

Checking-in on a Wednesday afternoon, I was hoping, especially after a long drive to get here, that it wouldn't have taken so long. Our room is bigger than I was expecting, so much so that there's actually a lot of wasted space, like there should be a couch or some other piece of furniture in here. The Rim restaurant was good. They had a tasty ginger margarita. I think we must be next to a maintenance/equipment room, because every so often, including in the middle of the night, there's some sort of whirring noise. Not enough to wake the kids up, but could be annoying for light sleepers like me. Staying a couple more nights, so might edit this post if anything notable, good or bad, happens the rest of our stay.

As for prospective for 13 year old it's pretty cool there they have a big Casino at the time I visited in January they're remodeling I'm not sure if they're done with that yet but they have really good food there they have arcade they have a pool the VIP rooms / the upgradable rooms are really great if you subscribe to them or something you'll be able to go to the hotel for 2 days for free every month! Oh yeah they also have a spa a few gift shops and a movie theater and a performance theater they have clubs I've only seen one if you want more information just go to their website.

Lotta bang for the buck... Old Reno hospitality, great service, rooms and gaming was decent too.

Bathroom in rooms is inadequate even after remodeling. Toilet is in tight space and shower makes it difficult to clean lower body. Pool drinks overpriced. Pool area and amenities are great though.

A very attentive staff, with different price room options and lots of amenities. Several restaurants of different styles, as well as a kid Zone and a bowling alley. There is also a theater and a nightclub. Lots of gaming opportunities as well.

The buffet is a bit pricey but worth it. The food and dessert is amazing.

Amazing time at the cheap movies $4 a person. I love the bowling alley. Just wish the food at the bowling alley that's on the menu they actually had . They told me no chicken wrap because no tortilla and lettuce.
The wings were very good though!

We were passing through town and needed a place to stay for the night. A quick phone search suggested this might be an economical choice. NOTICE: There was a $30 "Resort Fee" above the listed price! Otherwise a clean room a not altogether unpleasant night. Nice view. Sooo many $$ sucking machines :-o

My wife and I went to sushi at Rim, we had a chef named Corbin. He had amazing service the long rolls were awesome and the service made us feel special. Shortly after we gambled a bit and tried their new wine bar which I high suggest of you are unsure on what kind of wine you like. Overall great place, great service, great food!!

Did not stay at the hotel, but the Grand Theatre is beautiful and the restaurants are all pretty good.

So many amenities at this hotel and nicely appointed large rooms. Plenty to do. Plenty of places to eat. Good, friendly service. Oh, and a casino, if you're into that sort of thing. I also took in a wonderful massage at the spa. So why only 3 stars? Smoke! My throat started hurting within an hour. My eyes were puffy (I wear contacts). It's present even in the nonsmoking rooms.

One of the best resorts to stay at. Lots of things to do for kids and adults. Very pleasant place for both young and old.

The Grand Sierra Resort is a fun place to be. I've never had a rude waiter or club member tell me anything. They've hired some well trained people. Also there buffet is booommb. Like very very good.

Great suite, wish the pool stayed open later and opened before 10am....

We went to the evening Impractical Jokers comedy show. After watching this on tv for years it was amazing to see live. We can't wait for them to come back. The lines were long but moved quickly. There was a Grand Sierra employee directing us in the line who told a few jokes. He was very entertaining. The casino was clean and we had no trouble finding where we needed to be. All employees were friendly and helpful. Next time we will wander around the casino more. We have a new favorite thing to do here besides their fantastic bowling alley. Everyone should definitely bring the kids there for bowling!

The hotel is fine and the staff is friendly, but I bought a pair of swim trunks from the store downstairs, got back to my room to try them on, they were extremely small despite being labeled an XL, so I went to return them. All i got was a "all sales on swimwear is final" response multiple times. I was just trying to do a straight trade for a bigger pair of shorts. Wouldn't work with me, give me someone else to talk, any sort of response besides saying it was final. So I just left the shorts downstairs outside of the store on a bench. $13 I might as well have thrown in the trash.

The show was great, the food at Grand Cafe was mediocre to bad. The room was absolutely disgusting, the sheets were dirty, the bedroom itself was not clean, dusty and nasty, and the mattress does not have fitted sheets, never seen that anywhere else before. I am not sure how this place is rated as four stars.

This is reno's best equipped full service resort/hotel Casino. Once you arrive there is no need to leave the property. Excellent gaming what I mean by that is all the local stay here too and you know what that means. Endless activities for everyone a golfing driving range. Miniature golf go-karts laser tag movie theater bowling alley all kinds of stuff for the kids to do and the adults 5 upscale very nice signature restaurants. Also some seven or eight other chain restaurants populate the property shopping weddings you name it is also the closest to the Reno International Airport.

This resort is so fun! There's everything here that you could possibly need: movie theater, wonderful pool, golf, go-karts, great restaurants.

One of the better Reno casinos. I like all the shops and non-gambling entertainment. Just not a fan of all the tobacco smoke on the main floor and room hallways.

1st time in Reno for Reggie birthday. Had a great time!! Rooms were renovated and spacious. Restaurants were great!

Reservations through 3rd party booking cancelled.GSR was not helpful in helping us get a room there. Not their fault....just thought they could have stepped up since we were already there, oh well. Beautiful looking resort. Just did not have a chance to stay there

Great casino off the strip. Nice rooms. Gambling was good as well, everyone broke even or went away with more than they came with.

This casino is elegant and classy, yet very trendy. Something for everybody. Rooms are awesome and more than comfortable with amazing views. Conveniently located between Sparks and Reno to be able to have the opportunity to see all local spots.

Stayed in the RV park here prior to Burning Man. Other than the circuitous entry, its an easy way to go. Halfway between Walmart and Airport. Pull through spots habdy for trailers. Note they have high water pressure, so definitely use a pressure regulator.

I liked staying at this hotel. My only issue was that there wasn't a refrigerator or microwave in my room. My friend got a room at the same price with a fridge and microwave. Also, the water bottles in our room where never replaced. So we didn't have drinking water or water for coffee.

This was my first vacation ever. Such a beautiful place, amazing staff. Lots of things to do without leaving the resort. Everything is reasonably priced. Would definitely want to return.

Decor in newly refurbished lobby and rooms a big improvement over previous visits. No improvement to more substantive issues such as no sound proofing makes for a very noisy stay. The whole facility reeks of cigarette smoke and cigar stench. Elevators are slow and only one of the five in the bank serving my floor was in service most of the week I stayed, making for long wait just to get to and from the room. Service in restaurants, housekeeping etc. hit and miss.

Grand sierra resort has been a great location for professional events and also leisure trips. The hotel has many amenities including restaurants, movie theater and a bowling alley. I recommend this hotel to anyone flying out of reno also. The close promixty and shuttle service make for an easy trip.

Grand Theater has good seating and acoustics. Security kept people from standing in the aisles. Decent food in the cafe that I ate in but pupu platter was a bit cool. Bis clam chowder is better.

This place is sort of like a mall with a casino and a hotel. The remodeled rooms are super nice with great views on the upper floors - overpriced though. Surprisingly, the Mexican restaurant was pretty good and reasonably priced. If you re looking for a Reno experience, this is it.

The best in reno. I visited 5 casinos in one day and Grand Sierra was the brightest, cleanest one in Reno. Among the perks they have a bowling alley, escape room and outdoor golf driving range.

Never had hand or face towel for three days. Not good.

Overall, the hotel and amenities are fantastic. Great place to bring the whole family, the kids love the pool, arcade and bowling alley. Crowded on week-ends.
However the recent changes in the reward program and the comp system have made it far less attractive to gamble there. Dealers, pit bosses and waitresses have been less than friendly lately, which makes for a weird vibe on the casino floor, even on crowded night. Sad.

The casino action itself is extremely tight - tons of nothing spins. The bonuses may give you spins, but they are mostly dead spins. It is not a good place to test your luck!

GSR is an amazing hotel and resort. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful amenities and a great Casino floor.

Anytime I visit Reno, this is the only place I stays at. Clean, great customer service. And nice sport bar. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Love all the amenities. Pool is new and gorgeous. Bowling alley has 50 lanes. Has indoor playground and arcade, movie theater perfect casino for family fun.

Lots of highway and airport noise. Not very clean. House keeping definitely didn't clean in corners or dust. When they made the bed they failed to cover the mattress pad. Even the restaurant booths had dust collecting on the top of the seats.

The resort was great! We went to the movie theater, pool, bar, and a couple other shops there. It had just about anything we would need, even a shuttle back to the airport. 10/10 would go again, service was great and staff was nice.

The view was beautiful, the hotel was very clean. Majority of staff was nice. Very good experience.

Great casino, tons of great amenities! Bowling alley, arcade, outdoor ice skating rink, race cars, driving range, shops, restaurants. You won't be bored here. Just re-did the pool area, it's gorgeous! Cabanas, spas, etc.

It's always a great time for me when I visit there.

Stood for one night. Room was much nicer than I imagined! Very clean. Casino was nice and open. Plenty of dining options. Looking forward to my next stay.

I am here for an extended stay of 10 nights at the Grand Sierra Resort Reno. On my first day here at the hotel i stepped on glass getting out the shower and cut my foot. I have a lymphatic condition called lymphedema and am a very high risk for infection so i take all cuts very seriously. After cutting my foot I called to inform the front desk to send housekeeping up to clean all the glass off the floor. They sent someone to clean and also there medical staff to take a report. After they finished cleaning the bathroom and left I return just to find more small pieces of glass in the bathroom. They then sent a second crew up to properly clean the glass.

I was told to wait until Monday and someone would get in touch with me to in regards to a comp for my inconvenience and unpleasant stay thus far. It is now Wednesday and I just received an offer from management of $100 comp towards my room and 10 day stay. I feel insulted and disappointed at how they are handling the situation.

I am currently stuck in bed with my leg swollen twice the size of the other and not able to enjoy my stay.This is not dirty sheets or a foul order in a room, this is glass and a cut on someones foot we are talking about. They can not be serious. I would never stay here again.

Asher siles was helpful, he was good when he had to help.. I don t expect more from a hotel supervisors... I d go and stay again.. #GSRrepeatable
