Room I have not seen, service is great, location is also good
Nice room, wonderful bath. Nice bed. The view was less. relax on the terrace, drink coffee by the water. The service was a bit rough. All in all a nice hotel.
Cozy place too, and very polite and attentive staff!
Next to the Shell Post with convenience store and also near a wonderful bakery!
High quality hotel with very comfortable and clean rooms, tasty breakfast. Suits both for business and leisure travel. Location is great: a bit away from the noisiest parts of the city but still very close to the museum area and Leidseplain. Some rooms have awesome view to the canals.
Nice hotel, just walking around 10min can be touch Tram and Metro station.
If you go airport just need around 20min for public transport.
This hotel doesn't have much going for it. Under a veneer of new designs lies an old hotel in need of renovation. The service was also lackluster with staff often too distracted to give me their full attention.
Beautiful art deco style rooms and some great views
Really nice hotel, a, bit snobbish clientele. Rooms are nice but not great. Nice location in southern Amsterdam but a bit of walk to attractions.
My payment was missing and it took half an hour to fix I thought. The next morning during checkout, it still wasn't fixed. Also we had to go back to the reception 3 times to get a working key for the right room (twin bed) while it was requested during the booking. The hotel and rooms look nice and clean though. The breakfast was good.
Amazing hotel in city center of Amsterdam nearbye the water. Great restaurant.
Beautiful channel is near by this hotel.
Nice atmosphere, good and clean room, nice staff~
Everything is perfect!
I must go this hotel with my family for the next time.
Big rooms and wonderful location. Very good for business events
Great place, modern and chique, very friendly staff
Really luxurious hotel. Really nice overall style and design. Awesome service, and very good rooms.
Very comfortable hotel with three restaurants, very nice cafeteria, French type restaurant and the Harbor club. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The closet is without doors, and the bathroom is not very large but is well equipped. To attend the fairgrounds (RAI AMSTERDAM) they offer as free service a boat of 12 people every 30 minutes that takes the canal to the fairgrounds (10 minutes), at least at the IBC fair. It has good public transport communication (subway).
Stayed there for a business trip. Decent hotel. Doesn't look great from the outside but inside rooms are well designed and thought out
Super gezellig, vriendelijke personeel, schoon en veilig wat betreft Corona. Wij komen graag een keer terug
Excellent hotel, very friendly service, when I arrived I upgraded the room, excellent cleaning, delicious food, I became a fan of salmon sandwich. A little away from the center 30 min by tram, you arrive walking to the museum area. In summary a very pleasant experience!
The hotel was amazing... It s away from central Amsterdam; it s 20 mins tram from central station and a further 8 mins walk... The hotel
Room is very spacious. They have a lovely restaurant on the canal for dinner and a very chic bar :)
Nice hotel, part of the Sheraton group. They got me a nice and quiet room with view of the cannel.
Good hotel, great location. The hotel operates Make a green choice, i.e. You get vouchers that can be exchanged for services.
We had an amazing stay at this place where the staff were friendly and really helpful. They made sure we have everything we need and gave us all the informations about all Amsterdam sightseeing. We ll come back for sure!!!
Right out of central Amsterdam but found the overall experience, service, and rooms to be above my expectations.
Friendly staff, nice hotel rooms were good sized. A little walk from downtown but great place to stay
Very nice lounge, well fitted rooms, easy to reach by tram from centre.
The location is beautiful and the views of the waterways are wonderful ... the hotel is clean and worth the accommodation
Lovely rooms, service and quick uber service. The hotel offers dinner which we were sad we didn't stay in for actually. Good vibe, good bar, very cozy. All round a great choice!
Nice quiet hotel. For 4 stars have all the necessary amenities. Delicious breakfasts. There is no gym, but there is a good park nearby where you can run in the morning.
Very friendly, polite and competent staff. Great location for corporate meetings with options for staying an extra night. Good food, good beds and attention for details in the customer journey.
Great place and well located. Loved the service and the room was clean
A very beautiful site, lots of real plants. Very clean, cozy and charming rooms. Service is great. Restaurant at the waterfront, the breakfast is a dream.
My last stay in this building led me feeling it was one of the best hotels in its category in Europe- the service was incredible - sadly I have just had once of my worst experiences.in memory. The hotel has been re-branded, renovated, and what was once one of the best hotel experiences in Europe. A series of basic errors and mishaps have led me to believe this has now been destroyed. I was responsible for taking care of a group of 21 people travelling with me. The reception wrote the wrong number on my rooming list, resulting in the bags not going to the correct room, hence no chance for then to change before going out for dinner. They took it well. No big deal you might say, until later that evening, another hotel guest walked into their room!!! The reception had double allocated the room! The same guests no longer felt safe in that room, and so packed up and took another room. When it came to making arrangements for a pre-arranged dinner on our final night, I found it difficult to speak to anyone who was definitively in charge. First one person, then another. None were able to find the agreed contract for the dinner. In the end, we re-made the agreements and I then had to explain it to multiple staff members. Aaaargh!!!!! Pretty young things, dressed in tight jeans, all clueless of what it takes to make a great hotel run smoothly and not a whiff of anyone in charge or in control. Fortunately, the concierge staff have remained the same and are solid and ever helpful.
Avocado lovers specialize in eating avocado, decorating and serving magnificence
Perfectly good hotel. I like the bath products. Haven't eaten at the restaurant so I can't speak to its quality. The pillows they give you are not the best so you may want to ask for a different kind when you first get into the room.
I booked a random hotel a few hours before getting here and what a choice. Excellent hotel and price per night, is a bit misleading as its fabulous
Nice hotel, slightly dated, the 'plant lane' needs fresh plants. Staff friendly but hard to understand. (broken English) Concierge professional. Room staff helpful and knowledgeable.
The breakfast was perfect, everything clean and fresh, kudos to the kitchen!
Modern with a classic feel. Very nice neighborhood. Easy walk to tram. Morning stool for fresh bake breads and coffee.
My husband and I stayed at the Apollo for a business trip, and it was great!
But the highlight of our stay was our encounter with the loveliest Concierge we ve ever met! He was so joyful, happy, amazing sense of humour (made us laugh so hard that we re still thinking about it weeks later!)- we both loved doggies and bicycles! He s a gem.
I really hope he has the opportunity to interact with more customers, otherwise they re losing out!
As we found out too late unfortunately, this hotel also has an amazing restaurant through the back, all around, over the canal - wished we had known before!
PS- we asked for a smaller/flatter pillow and they brought it right away. That s amazing service once again! The front desk receptionists were also super nice! Cant wait to be back again.
Very nice location by the river, nice food but pricey
Amazing hotel! Clean and Spacious rooms, amazing food!
It is comfortable and the beds are very comfortable.
Nice hotel, rooms are spacious and complete. Breakfast and dinner is good. Nice location to eat and drink.
Quality hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and nice view too
Excellent quiet location, a short walk to RAI or Albert Cuyp Market
Promised room with terrace but when I arrived no one knew about it
I was robbed a Lacoste tracksuit worth 110 by the people take care of the room cleaning
Great service and roomy ., a hotel you will want to come back again and again.
Stayed for 2 nights..
THE GOOD
+1 : rooms on 6th floor were nicely furnished and premises very clean.
+1: convenient to all attractions .... Within walking distance (15min.) to many of the museums
+1: hotel staff extremely personable. Most spoke English fluently.
+3: the food in the restaurant and as served for breakfast was fantastic. Been here on a tour for about 10 days different country and both my wife and I agree; the food here was almost as good as NYC restaurants (not 5 star restaurants, though). Far better than the food we had in London and Paris hotels.
+1: hair dryer in room, refrigerator, LCD-TV w timer. (40"?)
THE NOT SO GOOD
-1: Heat does not work. It's late September, so very cold at night.
-1: hotel listed as 5 star, but doesn't have a microwave...hotel would not honor request for service to heat up a microwave sandwich for us as part of room service though they have a restaurant on premises... (This is not only customary for hotels and motels everywhere, it's just good business...tips for all, right?)
Bottom line: firm 4 star experience and would stay again without too much hesitation
Nice hidden gem on intersecting canals in a nice neighborhood, not far from the museum district.
On a main street so there is commute traffic noise during the day, but a fairly quiet location at night. Also close to other restaurants, bars and small neighborhood type stores and public transportation.
The onsite cafe, restaurant and bar are nice and the food is very good. Buffet breakfast served daily.
The staff are efficient, pleasant and very accommodating.
The room was of adequate size and I would say large for euro standards, very clean, bed was comfortable, and the room was real appointed.
Overall I was very pleased and I would definitely stay here again. I encourage others to give Apollo Hotel Amsterdam a try.
Good service and rooms,a bit out of the way for transportation but not too bad
Nice hotel but make sure to ask for a refurbished room
Great staff and good location outside of the city craziness.
The Room has a little fridge, kettle, TV, desk and a safe. The bed it's on the firm side but still comfy. All rooms have air conditioning and if your on the rear of the building you have a view of one of the many canals. It's approximately 30 minute walk to the centre.
Unfortunately only friendly to business people or similar,
Very disappointed.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and authentic original decor in main building. Rooms in extension block nicely refurbished, if a bit on the small side. Breakfast okay with great bread and cold options but slightly disappointing hot options.
Accessibility by car is excellent, good and sufficient parking space, the location of the hotel is perfect, tram station a short walk away and with line 5 right in the city. Room is excellent, TV and channel quality (analogue?) Marginal. Air conditioning makes a lot of noise, it seems that it goes on "low profile" during the night so that the room quickly warms up. Breakfast area consists of tables for 4 so that they are quickly occupied by 2 people, so waiting is the result. If you want to dine in the hotel in the evening, don't forget to make a reservation at the Harbor club Kitchen: "superb"
Recommended but quality price, like all hotels in Amsterdam
Nice place, but had a hard time sleeping due to non-soundproof walls in my room.
Great view. Nice area. Close to everything. Quiet.
We stayed in room 520, which seemed to have been upgraded, with a beautiful canal view thru a large picture window. a comfortable bed and 4 pillows, coffee service, working AC and very quiet. Reception did upgrade our room but we did not get free breakfast. Within a 12 min walk are places to get a cooked breakfast and good coffee. Have a drink at the restaurant with a balcony overlooking the harbor. Picture posted with the beautiful view. The hotel common areas contain striking furniture and lighting and worth visiting.
Great hotel! Very nice clean room! Highly recommended!!!
Hotel is nice, housekeeping is among the worst I have experience as an SPG member
Beautiful hotel. Room was very comfortable. Hotel staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.
Warm welcome from the reception upon arrival at the hotel. Delicious food at The Harbor Club Kitchen, lots of variety and delicious fresh food. Friendly service!
Super hotel, good service from the reception only a pity no place in restaurant without reservation! And Harbor club also recommended
Nice hotel and bar area, great burger but 25 euro, "enhanced room" needed enhancing
Amazing decoration at the common areas! Our room was basic - I have expected the renovation to have happened through out the hotel! :) maybe next time! The area and proximity to some highlights of the city is Great!
