Clean Fun and Family friendly. Great atmosphere to be in, I'll be coming back soon!
No more microwaves in the rooms that was alot 9f the reason we stayed at the Grand
Tumble town used to be a great place to take my kids, because they had local discounts. Used to be 20.00 for both kids so my kids could have fun but now it's all about money money $24.00 for 2 kids just to play lol outrageous they don't give local discounts well this local will be more then happy to take his business to wild island they only charge 15.00 for both kids to have fun and wild island is only 12 minutes away from GSR and wild island has better play for the price
Here on work, so not partaking in the casino, but the room was nice - spacious, clean, nice minimalist look but still upscale. Had a great view of the mountains, but anyone someone near my room is showering it sounds like my toilet is broken and just running non-stop. Looking forward to checking out the restaurant options, most places looked nice at first glance, hoping they won't disappoint.
Great comps on Rooms and won on free comp play! Room was very elegant and of course clean...Casino pays good odds! Came home happy. Will return for sure! Thank you!
Clean rooms excellent accommodations, but pricey drinks at the concerts
It's a great place for locals and tourist alike .Great food ,fun slots ,and well trained staff.
Our host Ken Matsusaki was fabulous. Accommodation were perfect and everything flowed without a hitch. Look Ken up for your next outing. You will be pleasantly surprised!
The room was very nice and clean with a great view. The bathroom also felt very well maintained. Valet parking and bell check services are not the fastest here but we had no issues beyond speed.
Great place. Doesn't offer free play until later but its one of the best resorts in the Reno-Sparks area.
great place to stay - weekend getaway either for couple or the entire family - from cafe, pizza place to theater, kids arcade, restaurants & many more - highly recommend to everyone
We love GSR! We used to stay on the strip but now we only stay a GSR. Great casino with good comps. Awesome pool. Bowling alley. Great food. Refurbished rooms! Close to the airport with a free shuttle!
Ice skating, movie theater, bowling alley, pool, great view of the snow capped mountains. The restaurants are pricey, but its a Casino in Reno so I guess that should be expected. The drink service could have been better, I literally had to walk around to find a drink server and she wouldn't take my order unless I was seated at a slot machine, "I'd be seated if I didn't have to search for you!" The irony. But I love going to GSR despite that.
We held my daughter's birthday party at Tumble Town and it was great. The hostess of our party was sub par. Peppermill's party room hostess was orders of magnitude more helpful and attentive, everything else is better at GSR. Sophie; the manager of Funquest, is incredibly helpful and she handled a delicate situation with grace.
Rgank you Sophie.
Great casino, great food! Conventions for anime and furries so always people to watch. Conveniently located for burning man!
Has everything you need for adults and kids. Awesome pool area. Don't need to leave the resort, they have everything. Great buffet and restaurants too.
Awesome casino, $5 single deck blackjack tables, can't go wrong.
Terrible customer service. Ridiculous fees for every possible thing. Beware, especially, the false advertising! You may see a reasonable daily rate for accommodations, but they tack on a daily resort fee which includes a non-optional tip for housekeeping among other things.
This hotel is the best. Stay on the concierge floors and you won't be disappointed. The shops, restaurants and pool are the best parts of this resort/hotel.
Long lines for elevator (only allowing 4 people on) poor social distancing, many people walking around with mask under chin
Everything you need in one place. I really enjoyed the spa.
Unfortunately my stay wasn't fun at all. Check-in was not very welcoming no directions given or any information upon arrival. I booked the concierge room. Shower and electric outlets in the bathroom didn't work. Unfriendliness from various service workers in the casino area. The highlight was literally California Pizza kitchen - the only place where we received politeness and good service. Not coming back !
Stayed in one of the newly upgraded upgraded room. Was beautiful and very comfortable. Only downfall was no bathtub but the shower was a beautiful marble and very large.
We went to the bowling alley. Just like the hotel and casio it's open 24 hours. We had dinner afterwards at the restaurant on the second floor. The restaurant was pretty upscale and the service was great. The food was decent, and very surprisingly very affordable.
The casino is bright with an open floor plan that gives you a warm feeling of luxury. The gaming floor is conveniently located near the front door, and the crystal lounge sits between restaurant row and the gaming area. We had drinks at the crystal lounge before attending a show at the Grand Theatre which has a 3,000 seating capacity. The design and look of GSR makes it one of the nicest looking casinos in the area. Highly recommended.
Rooms are always clean and comfortable. This place has everything you need. Dont really need to leave to enjoy yourself. Actually won $100 which is rare for me. Only downside is cigarette smoke but what can you expect from a casino.
Very Smokey throughout the whole place even in the rooms and the smell pot as well. Only one working elevator and it was rickety. The Windows in the room offer only wind protection not thermal or noise so if it's hot or cold out expect to feel it as well as hear all the street traffic and people talking as they walk by the building and I was on the 14th floor and I could hear them talking on the street. Overall ok place to gamble a few bucks or shoot a porno.
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Sierra during the Street Vibrations Motorcycle event. Ron Padrotti made sure all our needs were met and exceeded, the Buffet was amazing and we will definitely stay there again for our next visit to Reno!! Thank you so much Grand Sierra staff!!
Super awsome sad we are leveing tomorrow but it been fun even the kids love it here
Loved the casino, pool area and theatre! Truly something for everyone here. The staff are outstandingly friendly!!
Its a nice casino, there other activities like a movie theatre and a theatre that hosts events.
They give very good perks when you use the players card. The Resort is beautiful.
The resort and the rooms were great but people smoking in the elevators and in the casino was a big detriment (especially for a non smoking individual). Also some of the food in the Grand Cafe was cold.
The GSR is about the nicest casino Reno offers. I haven't stayed there at all yet. I've been a several times, no complaints.
Has a nice view of the pool. Room is nice and clean. The Grand buffet get 2 stars for taste.
I attended Biggest Little Fur Con at Grand Sierra resort from May 10th through May 14th. The stay was delightful, and I will continue to attend every year. The summit rooms are luxurious, spacious and reasonably priced. The convention space is huge and simply laid out. 10/10!!
Awesome Resort, the family loved it . Stayed for the weekend for a softball tournament. Will return to enjoy .
We go here every year and it doesn't disappoint. Rooms are always clean, though I would say make sure you check the deposit and resort fees. Nonetheless still a great place, we always have fun.
Great fun for grownups in the casino and at the driving range. Fun for the kids in the theatre, bowling and riding go carts. Maybe next time we'll try the pool too.
Will I have have to pay resort fees when i come up june 15th if pool is not open ??
I booked last minute on Expedia so I got a super cheap rate of seventy five bucks for one night. Room was clean and quiet. I would stay there again. Roomservice was fast and the food was good.
To start off the room was exceptionally well the Houseman was polite as can be, he cleaned my room to my expectation As far as the gambling went I won so I was definitely happy and all around the entire staff was beyond awesome.
Great local specials. Newly renovated rooms are nice and furnished with a modern look. Beds are very comfortable and linens are high quality. Robes offered are soft and comfortable, I wish I bought them!
Best place and closest to the Reno airport.
Lots to do here, bowling, movies, frozen yogurt, arcade, beautiful, 90 degree pool all year round. Excellent place.
one of my faves. Love the pool. Great accommodations.
Had nothing but experience here, plus I like the golf driving range into the lake.
Good family resort, plenty of things to do for entertainment. Rooms are nice for the low price, casino is ok. Plenty of food options
The staff has always been so helpful and supportive of our group. We're there every year and look forward to it every time.
Great place to go for fun, food, shows and gambling. I highly suggest going here.
Lovely rooms, great service. Everybody friendly. Loved the spa services.
Slow busy elevators. Not enough of them. Rooms are stunning though.
In regards to the rooms they are very nice and spacious...HOWEVER I am very disappointed in the way things are being run during a pandemic like there is none. The place is completely packed and the concierge said that they were SOLDOUT meaning they filled EVERY room in the hotel. People did not social distance especially when waiting to get on the elevator and ignored the signs on the floor. Everyone was on top of each other in the casino together. It was very frustrating to see. There are hand sanitizer stations but who knows if people are using them are not. I would say come here at your own risk and the risk may be pretty high. It was completely unexpected and I thought there would be a better handle on things. Clearly it s all about money and not public safety
Awesome hotel. Everything you could ever need in the same place. Except for straws. Better bring your own, because they apparently went the way of California.
Stayed there when it was Bally's. Great location and great place to visit. I would love to go back, and although it is very different now, I would still recommend!!!
Beautiful and friendly staff I paid 200$ for a 900sq ft suite was really nice but have a few problems but for the most part it was amazing and the swimming pool is huge and nice bartenders
Absolutely beautiful, tons of activities for everyone's interests, and delicious food!
Great concert venue, casino and food. Had a fantastic time!!
Fun for all ages, fun zone has plenty of activities to keep families in fun mode. Or if your in the mood for the nightlife try one of the many bar or nightclubs on location. A must visit for your trip into Reno.
We played golf, that was fun. It was hard to get a drink in a timely manner at one of the bars. Their system may have been down while we were there.
Slow service. I already had reserved my room, yet had to wait to check in because 2 people crowded in line. Poor management for the night shift.
We paid extra for a concierge room and our keys didn't work in the lounge. I spoke with3 different staff members on the phone and each one of them rudely hung up on me. They did offer to bring me a new key, but the lounge was only open for 10 more minutes and we were checking out so that wasn't useful. The room was nice, casino was fine. Low rating due to how the staff handled my issue.
Best concert venue I've been to in town. Reasonable prices on tickets. Buffet is gourmet. Nice local rewards on rooms. Nicest pool in northern Nevada.
Great environment and staff. Very clean. Great fun for the whole family.
My friend and I go out to spend our free play occasionally and this time we ate at the buffet. The buffet food was great, my rating was based on the staff. It took abot 10 minutes before someone came by for our drink order and even longer to clean the plates away. It got to the point that we were considering placing the plates on a different table, just to have more space. Otherwise the food was great, nice selection and excited to see the expansion they are working on.
I want to give this 5 stars because my son had a BLAST swinging into his teenage years with his friends but I had to knock off a star because there are some major communication issues. We called a week before my son's 13th birthday party to make sure the ultimate rush swing would be opened. They told us yes. So, we showed up with 6 teens during the hours they told us, only to be told the swing was closed and to come back the next day at noon. We had some bummed out teens but ended up going swimming at the GSR instead. The next day, we showed up at noon, like we were told the night before, only to be told that they were closed. My husband was able to speak to a manager and also the person hat he spoke with the day before and they opened it up for my son and his friends to swing. They had a blast. I just wish they had clear hours and better communication.
Pretty tight slots. And a lot of them, but not a very good variety. The sport's bar was nice. The cafe is very slow, appears poorly ran, we waited and waited for a table... not because they were busy... just plenty of tables that needed to be cleaned... but the Food is great.
The Grand Sierra has an amazing buffet. The casino was a bit smaller than I expected and the slots weren't so easy in my wallet. They are working to renovate parts of the inside but the exterior could use a bit of attention. Overall I had a fun time here.
I was very impressed with the level of polish at the GSR. Definitely the nicest resort in Reno. They have some newly renovated rooms that are very modern. I had marble tile and all new furniture. I'd stay here again depending on the rates.
Favorite casino in Reno. Good food, military discounts, and 2 for 1 buffets, shows, pool, theatre
One of the nicest resorts in Reno, and the fact that it's off by itself and away from the other casinos makes it feel that more special. The theater, club, spa, and variety of restaurants make the GSR an excellent choice for those visiting Reno. Also, the staff are extremely nice and accommodating. The bowling alley is pretty popular for locals, too!
I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was fancy. I was here for work and didn't spend much time at the hotel or in my room. It was affordable. I would stay here again.
Need more 24 hour restaurants ..24 hour cafe ran out of food.Rooms were very nice but ice machine was broken... every time I needed something.had to call room service at least 4 times to finally get it.. took advantage of the re grand opening prices so that was a plus
My wife and I go to the buffet every year for Thanksgiving. We love it. The food is good, service is great, and we don't have to do dishes after.
Best resort in Reno!!! The different activities there like the arcade, movies, ice skating, or swimming pool. The diverse of food options is the best part, and the hotel rooms are amazing!
The power went out...which meant no proper ventilation. A nonsmoking room was filled with smoke...which meant, as I am allergic to Tabasco - I was sick for 12 days after staying there. Further, they claimed their room was fully handicapped accessible, it was not...totally a lie so they could book a room.
