Stayed in the parking lot Campground Outback it could use some improvement. Electrical hookups 30 amp or a little bit on the worn-out side sloppy. What the Grand Sierra Hotel is awesome.

The location is just a few miles from downtown. The rooms were quite nice for $150 a night. It had a separate seating area, refrigerator, dry bar, and a 42 inch flat screen. Inside the hotel I must say it's probably one of the nicest hotels in Reno. Plenty of shops and places to eat. I would come back again.

My review is purely on the concert venue. It is completely disappointing and destroys the artist s music. The acoustics don t exist, and the instrumentals completely drown out the vocals. You can t hear a thing clear enough to even identify the song being played hardly. The bass is all you can hear and feel the entire time. Having gone there to see Sublime with Rome last night, a VERY expensive show might I add, I was very dissatisfied by the fact you can t hear the beauty of every contribution of the band. You could only hear the bass. Of course seeing them perform was an amazing opportunity, but the GSR venue made It hard to enjoy.

I love the updates they have made. Absolutely a beautiful casino. Restaurants, gaming, clubs, bars, shops, a theater and more. What a fantastic place for a night out!

Love the clean rooms and the gambling here. I usually win something here. The parking can be terrible especially on the weekends so I prefer to come here during the weekdays. I always wonder where did they get that crazy carpeting that would remind you of a 60's flash back while on orange sunshine! I find their eating establishments to be lacking in quality and over priced. I like the space and room there is to get around. I am 50/50 on the staff and waitresses. They seem to be overworked or just not very friendly.

The buffet was outstanding! They did a great job on the renovation.

Sketchy at best. Front desk tried to get me to pay a resort fee on top of my room fee when booked from a 3rd party site. Then, I went to the bathroom with my drink and crack security told me I could not return to the bar with my drink.....so I walked away.....and then he tracked me down and said he was incorrect and I couldn't leave WITH my drink. Not my first choice.

It was a nice relaxing time. Great view and very quiet. Great gambling and food. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I love the gsr so much thank you for making my life better I was very disappointed I won big and I wanted to see the presidential suite before I bought it and they said they were too busy to show it to me I stayed there a whole week and they were busy everyday sadly fun slots even the amazing beautiful rooms its amazing I was here for the free night and stayed longer and eat have fun and dont even have to leave the resort thank you for everything you know how to treat ppl and to show my gratitude I'm gunna spend more money here really smart guys :)

Our first time here staying in the hotel ! We had stopped by on our last trip to Reno just to play slots but my fiance had a good extended much needed vacation so this is where we stayed for some of our time here the room was perfect clean and stocked one thing I was kind of concerned was for 3 days we had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels I'm used to getting the floor mat for when u step out of the tub also the face towels I was afraid housekeeping didnt put the right towels and when we check out they would charge us !!!!! But I told the lady the day we checked in she said shes going to put a note in our account we had her name etc we werent in our room much considering they dont only have the casino area they have a whole downstairs they has a whole area of stores for shopping theres a candy shop clothing stores theres kid stores a huge video game spot across from that is a VR room they have those breakout rooms and so much more but the top is they have there own MOVIE THEATER 4.00 a person regardless of time theres at least 4 of 5 titles there Buffett aas so good also plenty of selections I highly recommend staying here o they also have a big Starbucks, round table california pizza kitchen ,and Jonny Rockets and more ! Walmart is 2 blocks away your set !

Early morning hours found me enjoying the peace of mind that that can only be sought on a near-deserted casino floor. Everyone in their own space, and time stops.

Absolutely awful. I arrived late after a delayed flight to find they had given away my 100% prepaid non smoking King room. It was dirty and smelled like an ashtray. If I hadn't been so tired I would have gone elsewhere. There was no offer of any compensation. Absolutely terrible customer service. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

I love the GSR! I can say that but this is a real, unpaid review. So let me tell you why. There is always something happening there, the excitement is palpable... I always feel like a high roller when I stay there, the marble bathrooms are just wow! A good variety of fantastic restaurants all in a row, top notch entertainment and the stylish LEX club, with the dance floor over a pool. There are so many of the latest slot games that actually hit, tables with good, welcoming dealers, poker poker poker and the staff is the perfect combination of super nice and professional. On top of all that, they have lavish cabanas at the pool (which is jumping in the summer), and you can even get a massage in one of them! The spa offers a lot of ways to pamper yourself and a loved one, poolside deep tissue anyone? The high end boutiques have gorgeous items to drool over - my favorite one is actually very reasonable. Ample parking, STARBUCKS, comps galore! The room service food is seriously some of the best food I've ever had - a pint of Haagen Dazs and peanut butter is the perfect way to end the day

Went to the Grand Theater for a concert and the venue was great. Clean, great seats and very friendly employees.

We always have my parents stay here when they are in town and they love it! Their rooms are affordable and clean. I recommend them!

Check-in was a little slow but we were upgraded to a premium room for free. Rooms are nice and clean. Grand Buffet has been remodeled. The food selection is larger with much better desserts. Not as many unique slots as in past years. Pool has been closed for renovation since last November.

Ate at the cafe and it was amazing food and service. Then my daughter and I played in the arcade while the rest of the family gambles. We all left with big smiles on our faces

When we arived we were given a room and when we entered the room there was a used razor on the floor by the bed, a used bar of soap and wash cloth in the shower and the garbage was half full. I called down to the desk to get moved to a new room. Explained the situation and was told they would look into the situation for us and see if we could get a new room. "put on hold and then discontented. waited a few minutes to see if they would call back. called back down. new person, so explained again. same thing happened. So went on down to the desk. Said they had a upgraded room. "great" I thought. was told I would have to pay the difference. What? I was put in a dirty room then to be put in a clean room I would have to pay more? we had to leave early in the morning to our final destination on our trip so we decided to just sleep on top of the bed with the blankets and pillows we had in the car after two hours of just trying to get a clean room.

Fun getaway for events big or small. Family friendly with activities outside and inside the casino. Perfect for adults for a little gambling action.

This place is a lot of fun. The rooms, although big are just a bit dated and fairly clean but the best value in Reno. The staff is amazing, very nice, helpful and egar to assist. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

Very nice looking hotel both inside and outside. Place is clean and new. The casino however, is overly packed and tables are overloaded for extended amount of time, not sure why they aren't opening more tables.

Several restaurants, great little movie theater. Amazing bowling alley. Lots of activities for kids and family.

I was torn on reviewing as a 3 or 4.
Eddie the pool director was so amazing during the post-burn pool party- had to bump it up! He accommodated our large group and was willing to work with us on a large set-up.

This hotel went through a major remodel, great pool and bar set up, comfy beds and large rooms. There are plenty of dining options available and a good size casino.

The bad: Front desk was very challenging as I was involved in two frustrating situations that were easily avoidable. Their "policies" don't reflect normal protocol of most large brand hotels. Its impossible to add names to a reservation from a third party and it took an hour to get back in my room after getting locked out and dealing with multiple staff at FT/security.

I have to admit I've been in Reno for almost 4 years now... If you like the younger crowds this place means you, just hot hot hot unforgettable experiences from the Lex Night Club, pool, theater, all the way outside to a golf range. Has something for everyone I believe they are one of the biggest casinos in town; which means food comes in. Its everywhere it needs to be... hard to be dissappointed in a place so focused on providing activities outside of just gambling and eating. Allows a family to create an atmosphere oriented in fun pass times ensuring money well spent. The lavish abundance about center of Reno NV, is called the GSR; Praise worthy in short, this casino sure lives up to its grand stature in size and hype. Watch out now keno sure hits and $10 min. on most tables , slots 50/50 ehh guess it just depends you feeling lucky?!? Great players card reward program 5 stars on tier perks, have to say I'm impressed from left to right to top and bottom.... Great place to spend a night or day.

It has been recently remodeled and the buffet has been redone. The rooms are very nice. There are several good restaurants in the building. The nightclub has excellent ventilation so smoke did not bother me at all, and I am sensitive to it. Any problems in the room are fixed promptly. Nice pool area.

You will fell as though in Vegas. The pool is really good, would suggest to go to adult pool if you want to swim. Casino is great. Good food,very tried california pizza kitchen. I would suggest use valet parking. Convient and no charges. Pretty close to freeway.

Friendly helpful staff, who are aware of Burners' needs. The place is full of life after each Burn. Nice place to transition from sweat and Playa dust to washed skin against clean sheets. Then, after some sleep, it's time to party at the pool :-) Also Marcy was just amazing on the phone, when I needed to clarify and fine-tune my reservation! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

rooms and very big and nice so is the bathroom. they need more elevators the room service was not good it took over an hour and a half for my husband to get his food after he had to hunt someone down to help him. prices are high in hotel so if you can avoid having to buy stuff there. most restaurants were ok buffet and mexican was the best. Johnny rockets was very high priced and food was not good at all.

GSR has a great selection of venues and entertainment for all age groups. There are many events that will satisfy interests of all sorts. The gaming floor is also very up to date.

I won $125 on the machine on my way to the room. Checkin was quick. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed two nights to visit Lake Tahoe. My son goes there regularly for skiing.

I feel like every time I come here it's been remodeled. It's a beautiful venue& they have a great selection of games & the layout is convenient. The temperature is just right & it's well ventilated so even though there's smoking allowed in the casino you don't (or can't, rather) smell it. Cocktail waitresses are very responsive & in my opinion the drinks are great.

The casino was very clean and professional. I was a little disappointed with the selection of machines to play as well as the layout of the casino area, while I understand it is predominantly a resort 1st and casino 2nd. One redeeming quality was the buffets dessert selection. Even though the steak was overcooked as well as the Turkey and the salmon the ribs were delicious and the desserts were amazing.

They kicked me out for wearing the color red and then lied about why I was kicked out saying I was fighting in the bathroom when that was not even true I was at a funeral at the time also so I don't personally recommend the grand Sierra resort but they do have great foods there and a good place to stay but other than that I didn't really like it.

The rv park was great. The management was wonderful. Very nice and respectful. Utilities were always very kept up and clean. Would definitely recommend.

Packed! As always but fun nonetheless. Recently visited Fun Quest for a birthday party. The staff was helpful and the games were fun.

Despite going through various ownership changes over the years (it's been known as the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Bally's, and the Reno Hilton before becoming the Grand Sierra), this place has been the standard-bearer as the biggest in Northern Nevada since 1978. Little-known fact: the building sits on land once occupied by the Reno-Sparks Sewage Treatment Facility.

My family's one stop shop for a weekend getaway. Great place for kids and always fun for a quick romantic weekend.

I booked a room ! me on a discount $39.00 plus deposit $50.00 ever thing is fine next day they say my card was not going throw it has to be for they need $9.89 everyone they ran it I got charge so now am down $200.0now am going to say they needs to compor give me a nice room by next week

Did not get to spend much time there, just walked through exploring. But the casino looked great, very spacious areas, huge TVs for sports/racing, and the pool area looked fantastic.

Beautiful, clean, friendly entertaining slots. Huge arcade, many restaurants to choose from. My next destination in Reno!

My family and I went to see a show in their grand theatre. The security staff was fast and organized and able to get us to our seats without much delay. The venue itself was both beautiful and cozy.

I go here annually, and everytime the staff is kind and accommodating and it always feels genuine. The rooms, like the A-line are fantastic

The location is outside of town and has a lot of services or entertainment to keep both parents and the kids having a fun and memorable time at the resort.

It was nice. I think that the service isn't the best but I think overall it was good

My family will never be staying here again and suggest others don't as well. We were here this past weekend for our wedding and the shuttle drive decided to back out while my daughter and fiancee were behind the shuttle. They didn't contact me about it until 3 days later telling me that nothing happened so they weren't at fault nor did they do anything wrong.

Then we went to check in at 2 and they told us that it would be 20 minutes. We checked back an hour later since they never texted us. The guy at the counter told me that if I didn't get a text out room isn't ready so we shouldn't be asking. 2 and a half hours later, we finally got our room.

Security harassed two of our friends while in the casino, asked for their IDs, and left with the IDs for 15 minutes with no explanation to why they wanted to see their Ids in the first place.

This staff is absolutely rude it's horrifying. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

Nice rooms and staff is friendly. But what I don't like housekeeping don't throw away the used shampoo,lotion, body wash or condition they are left over from previous or previously guest. My last visit l checked because they felt almost empty, I threw them away and they replenish them with used ones again! Here I am again and I checked each one they have been used! I don't like using liquids for my body who knows what they might put in them! That is why I gave four stars.....

Great customer service, clean, lots and lots of fun stuff to do, good restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, & cool little shops.

If you want to go to a casino with a great resort this is the spot clean rooms and very nice inside definitely a great place to enjoy the amenities. Now on the other hand if you plan on gambling or winning any money at this place good luck. I lost over 2000 dollars in about 4 hours on the black jack tables i seen many people play with me on the high stakes tables and they bet hundreds but not one person won a dime. I also played the slots and did not even win a spin I spent about 200 with no luck. I used a players card that they offer with all the gambling I did and lost, all they offered me was 5 dollars off the buffet i thought that was ridiculous i told them to keep the 5 dollars off the buffet. I honestly thought this was a joke lol. The casino is designed to revolve money at all costs, who cares if the guests don't win a dime is there motto i believe. Please don't gamble here just stay here for what the resort has to offer gamble at a different casino and forget the players card unless you want the casino watching your every move.

Very clean, great staff, had a quick check in before check in time, which is great. The room in the Summit was nice and comfortable. Room service and housekeeping is great.. Check out is always a challenge tho, there's fees that seem to come out of nowhere and the front desk people seem to just complicate things. I always just ask for the receipt and go through it myself. And forget about trying to get a bellhop, especially if it seems like a busy day.

Was just there for a con, I've been there 3 years in a row, it's been a last every time, so much to do, and the staff go thr extra mile to make the free events like bowling run smoothly. I'm coming back 2020 for a 4th time in a row for that con.

This place is amazing. I come here almost every year and time and time again, the staff is amazing. The hotel rooms are fanciful and the amenities are amazing. I ll definitely continue to come to this resort every year!

Four Star are you kidding? It took over an hour to check in, the women in line was still at the desk after I left. The person that was helping her disappeared into the back room and I never saw her again. In the room there were toiletries from the previous occupant. There is construction going on with all the sounds and smells that come with that. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

They need to clean rooms better and supply rooms better as well. The summit section needs remodeling in their hallways n rooms.

This place and it's staff are wonderful! Literally so much to do I did not even need to leave the resort grounds. My nephew lost his speech device, and the wonderful staff found it, and expressed shipped it right over to us mind you we are in California an added bonus is the round table pizza restaurant the escape room, and the Lazer tag! Thanks for a wonderful experience Grand Sierra! We will definitely be back.

I've stayed here multiple times over the last 4 years and I've never had a bad experience. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you'd need for a full week's stay. The only thing that would make them even better is a microwave! There's so many good restaurants on the casino floor that it would be nice to reheat your leftovers in your room.

The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful and the bartenders make some good drinks!

There's also a renovated pool area! Several spacuzzis to choose from and temperature controlled pools!

I'm a huge fan of the GSR and it's always my go-to when I visit Reno.

Really super classy casino. Beautiful decorations. Very friendly staff. Pool is open year round. They are also opening a ice skating rink.

Our family vacation at the (GSR)Grand Sierra Resort Reno, Nevada on the following dates:3/22-3/24/2019, was very unpleasant. There were renovations being conducted during the whole stay that led to the elevators not working properly, it took 20 minutes to get from our room to the lobby area. This was obviously known by the staff and the Hotel before we booked our stay there. The staff never mention this to us. Also The Security team was very rude to us and made us feel very uncomfortable and Un-welcomed. Had we known beforehand that they were conducting renovations on the rooms and elevators we would have never booked there. Also the buffet was not that good. Some of the food was undercooked and wait staff was not very customer service oriented at all. I used to like to stay here but I think nextime I'll stay at the Peppermill. We stayed the last 2 times we were in Reno at the Peppermill and had a great time. We had just went up with a group this time and everybody wanted to stay at the GSR as it had more things to do there and snow was expected so we really didn't want to have to leave the hotel . Had it not been for that we would have stayed at the Peppermill and I wish I did. And one more thing they no longer have double King rooms there's only queen beds which really feel like full size mattress not very comfortable at all.

We went for a weekend and they are very accommodating. We arrived at the hotel 3 AM and were able to provide a room side by side with the other couple we vacationed with. The rooms are clean and we had the view of the pool, golf range, and airport. There was PLENTY to do besides gambling. The buffet had more than enough selection. The reserve wine bar was my favorite part! We are planning to go in a few weeks; pretty much a month from when we last visited.

This place was great! Good restaurant selection, gambling is conveniently located and the dealers are friendly. No complaints.

Casino and rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The smell of smoke in the casino was minimal. Overall a great experience.

I like the free rooms I get with my players card. I spend one of the days down in the adult pool relaxing.

We got the double bed (Queens size)This place was nice but the hotel room's looks Dirty! If you look closely under the bed. Where the night stand is you can see the dust. I turn on the flashlight on my phone and look around.If I see things like that it make me think, how dirty the bed would be and the hotel room. If they even clean it GOOD! We stay there on August 25th 2018. I just think they need to do better cleaning there room. It's not worth 240 a night total with all the Fees.

Fun, clean, good space, tons of stuff to do. I attend an annual event here, and it seems to get better every year. Employees are kind and helpful.

Well designed; bright and roomy. The casino is on the same level with the established players in downtown. The dealers cleaned me out tho

The lines at the counter are long. The main floor is all cloudy with cigarette smoke because of the casino. The room was old and dark. I was supposed to have a microwave but they had no more. The lower level was nice, cleaner, great arcade and 5D games on offer. Security at the elevator was a great idea. The pool was clean and access to it was well managed. The workout room was clean and not crowded, it was the best part of my stay.

The casino is just absolutely beautiful every time I go there something's always changing for the better.

Crab feed here is excellent. It's a beautiful buffet..fast friendly service. Great crab..
