Played over 100.00 and never hit a single bonus. I have never done that anywhere but GSR. It's no fun to play when you don't get to play.

The more time I spend there the more I like it. Seen many great concerts there.
Grate place for events and conventions. Staff was friendly nice and helpful too. The rooms was clean and the housekeeping was great. The casino was fun too and the food cort was grand. Also has a great children's area as well and plenty of activities for adults and children.
Great place bad review for lex nightclub cuz I ordered amf tasted like rotten pineapple you look around the bar and that drink was everywhere just left you would think they got the pic
Good casino good food good service.and clean room . Very good Will be back.
My wife and I stated at your hotel Saturday and sunday. We have stayed here years before and loved it. Unfortunately this time is was a disappointment. There were some issues. The finish work on the wall behind the bed wasnt done and a part had fallen off. The shower was horrible! It didnt have very good water pressure at all it left us feeling like there was soap left on us and in her hair. Also there is a tile in the bathroom floor that sticks up much higher than others and I ended cutting my foot on it.
It's a typical casino resort. Decent restaurants. Reno is a beautiful city in a great location.
Kind of scary how packed this place is during the pandemic.
Updated rooms, speedy check in, great valet service, nice casino with helpful staff, great food. No complaints!
Great place to stay!! No bad seats in the Grand Theater. Definitely staying there next time we re in Reno!!
Great hotel, comfortable rooms. Nice offerings for dining. Being remodeled - I kind of liked it before though.
Room was large and luxurious. Complimentary bottled water was nice to find at a Casino. Bar / Restaurant selection within the resort was nice as well.
Waste of time and Money. This place is a joke! !! Only about 40 1dollar slots and none payout. Didn't see anyone win the entire time i was there. No one won anything everyone was upset. The waitress was nice but you don't go to a casino to make friends. People just toss you're money out of the car window you will enjoy it more.
Great rooms for a good price. Lots of amenities including; casino, night club, bowling alley, movie theater, arcade. Good variety of restaurants. I really enjoyed the buffett.
RV area was clean/maintained. $32 a night for full hookups with Good Sam is a decent price. I would stay here again.
Hotel has recently been remodeled, nice rooms, casino is rarely crowded, poker room bonus is play 40 hours and get $300 cash, best bonus in reno
Really beautiful place with lots to do but the rv park had very poor signage especially at night. Staff was helpful via phone to get us a site but a few clearly printed signs could have taken care of it.
THANK YOU GSR FOR THESE COMPLEMENTARY TICKETS TO CARLY RAE JEPSEN
Very busy. No valet parking might mean you have to park quite a ways away. Inside the hotel.... the elevator situation due to social distancing measures can be problematic. Just have to be really patient.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Big tv, beautiful bathroom. Blackout curtains. No coffee maker but plenty of places to buy coffee downstairs. I'm just going to throw this out there about the gambling; my family and I have gambled in 3 casinos since they re-opened and have noticed the gambling to be really really bad. I think the best way to gamble right now would be the tables.
The casino is fun and clean. They actually have real security. No sketchy vibes, pre-covid loved coming here hanging in the casino eating and every once in a while hitting up LEX and the pool. Still a great place and always smells nice love that industrial fragrance they use
California Pizza Kitchen.3 of us. Waiting, hostess kept wandering around. She then seated people that came after us. When asked for explanation she said had seating for 4 not 3. Be a really long time if ever to return.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Nice rooms friendly staff. has everything you need.
The hotel is showing it's age and the casino floor smells like cigarette smoke. It's not my style of a place to stay, but there's definitely something for everyone here.
Quite surprised with something like this even in Reno. It's family friendly from bowling, movie theater, pool, etc but take note of the cigarette smell that almost everywhere. If it wasn't for the 2nd hand cigarette smoke, I would give GSR 5/5.
Great front lobby staff but person I called from my room was useless, walked into my non smoking room, which reeked of smoke, called the room host (can't call front lobby, some other person picks up, she told me she will transfer me to front desk, puts me on hold for literally half a second, gets back on line and tells me there's no one there and try again in 15 min. Pretty upsetting.
Employeee kicked us off the elevator for being part of a convention. He was rude and did not give an explanation -- he was uneccessarily forceful and said "you, you, and you.. get off now and wait in line downstairs. Get out." Convention guests ( we are staying Thursday to Monday mind you) are now being kicked off the elevator -- here's the problem -- regular guests are not being treated the same way. We rid with a group of non-convention guests who were allowed to ride the elevator up. There are 6 elevators that are available to our floor... 3 are actually in service . Shameful solution -- get someone who has tact to coordinate the elevator situation. I encourage others to share their experience.
I have been going to the gun show for several years, and it is always a lot of fun. Grand Sierra Resort is a lovely building with beautiful architecture and a stunning view of the East slope of the Sierra Nevada. I've never stayed at the hotel, but the casino is very clean and well maintained.
Great for almost everything you can think of. Cheap movie tickets for a decent theater, a pizza place, and great quality rooms. You name it, the GSR has it.
Very nice inside. Didn't even know it existed until that day. Although not on the strip, it still is big enough to have fun in one casino.
I now know where everyone is at when I go to Reno lol
Great location, rooms clean, good restaurants. Saw a concert in Grand Theatre, will definitely be back.
Clean. Remodelled casino floor. Always losing on their damn slots though.
Front desk is friendly and very helpful. Throoms are very nice. I have stayed in multiple rooms. Showers are large tiled areas with great waterfall type shower heads. If you upgrade to the 25th floor there is a concierge with breakfast. However the buffet restaurant have impression selections and the neighboring sushi/fusion restaurant has really nice sushi servings.
checked in the first night and upgraded my room. It smelled like smoke and was not clean.....meaning visible spills on furniture, curtains and bed skirt messed up. They promptly sent the someone to get my bags and switch rooms. The room looked great, until we went to get in bed and the sheets were SOILED. Not just the sheet but all the way through to the pad.
Great place .the game floor is very big many game choices.
I wasn't there long, but had a 1-year-old with me and the staff was very accomodating
Love this place!! Great atmosphere great games and I even won a little. I really enjoyed being in this casino!!!
The best Casino and Resort in Reno. I go there every year for a convention and every time while visiting family. The playing area is new and fresh, the pool and hot tubes are solid with the new update, and the constantly updating on rooms, makes a huge improvement. At one point the Summit rooms were the top tier rooms, now they are standard and the "A" are the new ones. Been coming here for years and will continue.
Hotel, staff and amenities are just wonderful. Thank you for all that you offer and do! :)
Great place! Everything from bowling, golf, to swimming. It literally a mall with a huge casino as well. Could stay for a week and never have to leave. Anything you need is there.
It's a great place to gamble everybody goes there it's huge casino floor it's great Hotel the pool is awesome yeah it's one of the greatest places here in Reno
Really beautiful room! Ed was the best Blackjack dealer. So much fun and gave us a great experience.
My stay was nice, the only thing I didn't care for was the entrance. The hotel/casino is large and to walk through another hotel or the couple of entrance they had open was a little inconvenient for me. Other than that it was nice, I would stay there again.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is nice and kind, and check in is quick. Elevators are quick and the casino is great!
Beautiful resort so much to do never had to leave the resort to find something else to do they have it all from dancing to bowling and a beautiful pool area. The staff were always very helpful, the rooms are very nice and clean.
It's the nicest resort in Reno by far. There's lots of fun activities for families and good dining options, especially the Chinese restaurant. The rooms are ok, maybe a little dated. Views from the rooms are great and the bathrooms are really big. My only complaint is that the GSR is far from downtown Reno, but I wasn't too upset about that. If you're looking for a resort for families, this is the one.
Had a good time staying there the room and view was great.i left my ipone 11 in the room and went on find my iphone and it says its still in the hotel but the lost and found and house keeping says it isnt there so in find my iphone lying?
The casino looks nice. The coolest thing is its like its own little city with restaurant's, ice skating, Starbucks, toy story, hotel, pool, exercise room, casino, and a movie theater with $4 tickets. Oh and let's not forget the go cart racing you can do. It's a great experience for all of the family.
Starting to show it's age furniture and things are looking worn, the buffet and cafe don't compare to other hotels. However it is easy to navigate and good parking. Easier access being away from downtown.
As usual this hotel trumps it all around in reno... I would stay here no matter what time of the year no matter the day or weather or party.... Great food scenery and gaming ... staff are quick and responsive .... clean environment with plenty to offer from family kids fun to adult night clubbing..... this is the place to see and be in reno!!!!!!
To expensive, right on airport flight path. Showers leave a lot to be desired.
One of the best resorts in Reno. Very Clean and huge. It has movie theater, bowling, and so much more. I loved their pools, and I took this picture.
Probably the nicest place to stay in Reno. The amenities are clean and beautiful, and there are so many things to do. There is an underground mini mall and movie theater, a driving range, pools, and so much more. You'll never be bored. Even though it is a casino, it is a very family friendly resort. We very much enjoyed our visit!
Hotel was great. Great food (and Johnny Rockets...), and tons of stuff to do even if you don't gamble. However, the advertised room prices don't include a $10 "resort fee". Seems a sneaky way to make the prices look lower. They also charge a really high security deposit, that they don't tell you about until check-in.
GSR is a very nice casino/hotel. There's lots to do and their concerts are always a sure bet since there's no bad seat in the house. The only real downfall to the place is there's no parking structure, but they do have valet.
We went to a concert here and stayed the night. A mini staycation for us. The concert venue was amazing, small venue seats as couple of thousand people. Great sound, has several bars and waitresses serving drinks too.
We were somehow upgraded to a really nice room on the 21st floor. Pretty views and a beautiful room. We felt so pampered!
We gambled some after the show, but didn't win anything.
The next day we went to the pool. They have two pools, one was for everyone and the other was for 21 and up. Both were big nice pools, but they were warm like bath water and very cloudy. There was a lot of garbage around the main pool area, wrappers, cups and paper trash. It was a really hot day so we looked for some shady place by the pool, there is none. We saw some umbrellas and asked about them. They were $30 for the day. We didn't plan on staying all day and since we already had paid a $26 fee with the room to use the pool, we thought this to be ridiculous. They definitely need some shaded areas for pool goers. They had cabanas and some seating shaded far away from pool side.
They also had a splash pad for the kids. That was nice and the water was really cold it felt good to walk through that after swimming in the hot pool water.
There were cocktail waitresses poolside and plenty if lounge chairs. Several lifeguards on duty too.
All in all we were happy with our stay.
Very nice, wasnt informed of resort fee when i called in but should have expected it. Enjoyed having a drink in the Jacuzzi outside in pool area and sitting by the fire. Definitely visit again when in thr aream. Truck parking here as well.
Other than the smoke in the lobby? I liked it. Convenient.
Great place to stay and be entertained. Awesome pool! This hotel is very unique. If you are looking for a hotel to stay in, this is the place for you!
Best buffet in the USA. Cleanest Casino I have been in and that includes Vegas!
Very nice casino. Would fit right in on the Vegas strip. Nice selection of restaurants. Went to a concert in the grand theater which is very nice with good acoustics. Would be better with more exits after show.
Overall great experience. They had run out of non-smoking room by the time we checked in and the guy at the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe room. He tryed to ask for $30 more but eventually gave it to us for no extra charge. The room was clean and nice. We didn't spend much time at the hotel during the day, but it looked like there was a lot to do there if you wanted to. I would have no problem staying here again.
Love the outdoor rides, the play area and games. Go there often. Check out Groupon and livingsocial for 1/2 off the racing cars.
The staff there is right on timethey get right out there and help you if you have a problem
Good facility, generally clean and we'll maintained. Not too stinky despite smoking being permitted on premises.
I've been here several times and had good experiences in general. Some of the rooms are in need of updating, but they are clearly in-progress (at the time of writing).
Lots of food options on-site, and there's a Walmart nearby for anything you.might have forgotten at home.
Prices are a little high but maybe I'm a cheapskate.
Awesome resort with everything you need. Food, entertainment, full casino and shopping. Hot tubs and heated pools. Great staff and extremely helpful
Everything a family can do plus good entertainment and great service from top to bottom
My family and I checked into the Grand Sierra Resort earlier in the week. We were supposed to stay for several days but due to a really horrible experience we left early. The staff was extremely rude to my family and friends. We were referenced to as idiots and morons by one of the night shift managers. She laughed and mocked us. I am not lying. We have come to this resort for years and never experienced such treatment. Even if you do not like a patrons tone you should never refer to them as an idiot. I hope the Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, Kent Vaughan takes a serious look into the matter. I wonder what type of establishment allows their employees to call their patrons names. After our horrible experience we received a survey. My husband expressed our dissatisfaction with our most recent stay. According to the survey it says,
"We are continually striving to ensure that we meet the expectations of our customers. As a valued customer, I would appreciate your feedback concerning your visit to our property." Well we were not satisfied and our expectations were not meant. If we do not get a response it will send the message that they do not care about the feelings of the customer. Therefore, the survey becomes nothing more than for just show. They want to look like they value their customers and that they strive to be the best. I will tell you one thing they are the best at-treating customers rudely and like criminals. One of the security guards told my friend, "I hate to see how your children will turn out." If Kent Vaughan responds I will be the first one to admit I was incorrect and they do care. But I seriously doubt that will happen.
Horrible check-in @ midnight. Staff was rude. Food & drinks way over priced. We're here for the World's Chili Championship & our days are full so no time to use pool but paying an astronomical daily resort fee to use the pool & fire pits only open till 7pm. Only positive is housekeeping is friendly & accommodating.
Rooms are very nice and overall experience with the people working the floor to the waitress walking around giving you drinks and the workers helping you get a player's card were Excellent. Just one glitch the waitress at the 24hr. Restaurant across from that big bar seemed New compared to the other waitresses around us. She didn't give us any eating utensils, never came around and asked us if we needed anything else MY wife had to go and ask in front for a spoon for her coffee cause we had no fork or knife and she looked lost not like the other waitresses. Overall Experience overrided this one bad glitch. Still 5 star's ...
Had a great time. Nice hotel rooms. Could use more USB ports. Shower was AMAZING. Loose slots at night but tight as a drum in the morning. Lots of eating options. Very high covid standards. Clean casino and not too smokey. Lots of cocktail servers. Beautiful sportsbook.
VERY NICE HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION BUT STILL VERY NICE HAD THE BUFFET WELL PRICED ROO WAS SPECTACULAR FIRM BED LARGE BATHROOM SHOWER COUNTER TOPS NICE LITTLE LIKE BAR WITH FRIGE AND IT KEPT DRINKS COLD SPECTACULAR VIEW WILL BE RETURNING BACK
I usually always get upgraded on my rooms and they have good food and of course in my opinion they have the best rooms and I love their walk in showers
Love the GSR. Beautiful suites and friendly staff. VIP host Larry is excellent at making our trips fantastic. The Dealers are super friendly, especially Michelle. She always keeps us laughing even if we're losing. Always get excellent service from Josh and Anna in VIP services too. Best hotel in Reno.
Nice, clean room with a big shower. Food selection was great too. One issue was that the main source of room lighting (plug in lamp) did not seem to have an off switch, so I had to unplug and replug it in. Also the TV was not center with the bed even after adjusting.
Beautiful luxurious landscape and nice hotel rooms. Customer service needs to be improved however for the amount of money customers pay they should be able to enjoy their vacation
Great casino. I win pretty often and the staff is pretty nice and not up your a$$ at all like they are at other casinos.
Great room for a great price. Restaurants are good. Buffet best deal in town.
Awesome concert experience. Great seating and a fantastic hostess.
Love the new updated rooms. The new infinite pool is spot on! Love this place. The buffet is also updated and outstanding!
Room was very nice. Had issue cashing in a slot ticket that took 30 minutes to resolve. Said someone else had cashed it in. Think machine screwed up. Lesson learned always put in a players card because then you can prove you played the ma machine .
Great place to stay. Good service, clean and very nice rooms. Worth upgrading to the summit of concierge levels - walk in shower, marble bathroom, pillow top mattress. Will definitely stay again.
Great place for families. So much to do. We spent the whole weekend here and ran out of time to do everything we wanted to do with the kids. Once you park, you never have to leave the resort.
The arcade was fun for the kids, the go carts were also really fun,the movie theater was nice, the service in the hotel was amazing, and they left us a gift basket. Also the pool was beautiful.
We chose this resort because they made it seem updated and fun, but the a.c. in our room would not cool below 74 degrees, the pool was packed beyond believe because they allow people who are not staying here to pay and swim. This place is very big, and couldn't even accommodate their own hotel if most guests wanted to swim. We checked out early because we were 7nable to enjoy our stay, and found an amazing room and pool at the Holiday Inn.
This place has lots of things to stay in and not leave anywhere. Favorite place to stay when in the area.
Good prices more than 8 restaurant but the buffet is super delicious they have America food, chainse food, mexican food and more the desert ice cream was delicious. I'll be back
